(12) Golden Keeper
5Christian HowarthBen LundDual 1m4f winner (good to firm/AW) for Sean Woods, but seems to have gone the wrong way this year despite a plummeting mark and hasn't finished within 12l of the winner in his last five starts.
(3) Lookingdandy
6Callum HutchinsonDavid Evans0-14 under rules and needs a deal of improvement if he is to figure on Flat turf debut; stable also runs Taxiing.
(7) Taxiing
4Alexandra McDonnellDavid Evans1-12 with her win coming at Wolverhampton (1m6f, AW) in January; ran well in one of her three starts on turf when trained in Ireland, but this may be an inadequate test for her now.
(2) Conservative
5Joe BradnamJoe Tizzard1-18 (0-11 on turf); makes stable debut (same owners) in a first-time tongue-tie having undergone wind surgery; down in grade, but still hard to fancy on his latest efforts.
(9) Logistical
4William CarverSimon HodgsonPlaced a few times on the Flat and over hurdles and has run well in two of his last four starts on the AW, but is now 0-17; more needed.
(14) Motasaleeta
4Connor PlanasNikki EvansNine-race maiden who showed some ability between May and July last year, but ended the season quietly and failed to beat a rival on last month's Wolverhampton return (8.6f, AW); big step up in trip needs to unlock something.
3rd (5) Lexington Hero
4Rose DawesJack Channon1-12 and best form so far has come on the AW (unplaced all seven starts on turf); look elsewhere.
4th (10) Asense
5Anna GibsonGary MooreHas to put a poor effort at Kempton (1m4f, AW) nine days ago behind her, but her turf hat-trick between August and October last year included two wins here (one over this trip); respected if bouncing back.
2nd (11) Bobby Kennedy
6George BassDenis Coakley1-19, though the win came over C&D in May 2021; second of 14 off this mark here just over a year ago and although not seen in six months, he has shown that he can go well fresh; shortlisted.
(13) Silver Atom
6Amy HuntArchie Watson1-20 with his win coming from 1lb lower in an amateur riders' event over C&D last September; has run with credit in four of his five starts over hurdles since November and is considered.
(4) Galactic Glow
7Tyler HeardJoe TickleAll three wins came over 1m2f here last year on good to firm/firm; acts on soft ground too, but still has stamina to prove and the seven-month absence (has undergone wind surgery) is a concern as he has a poor record fresh.
(8) Man Of The Sea
8Tommie JakesNeil MulhollandWinner of 11 races, albeit one came over hurdles and eight came on the Flat on Jersey; off four months and others make greater appeal.
1st (6) Fiddlers Green
5Gina ManganJohn O'SheaSole success in 12 starts came at Kempton (1m4f, AW) in February, but held over the same C&D last month; twice runner-up on a soft surface when trained in Ireland and holds an each-way squeak in a modest contest.
(1) Molly Mischief
4Adam FarragherJennie CandlishHad shown ability prior to getting off the mark in emphatic style at Southwell (1m3f, AW) a week ago; has a 5lb penalty to carry, but still 7lb well in and will take the beating if as effective on turf.

This revolves around Molly Mischief who is 7lb well in under a penalty for last week's Southwell rout and the only question is how she will cope with turf at the first time of asking. With that in mind it may be worth taking her on with ASENSE whose hat-trick last year included two wins here, one over this trip. Fellow C&D winners Bobby Kennedy and Silver Atom look best of the others.[David Bellingham]

11th (3) Forget The Past
2Ben SandersonBill TurnerStarted a big price for her Southwell debut late last month and was never a factor after swerving left at the stalls; her trainer is now 0-57 with 2yos over the past five seasons, with only four placed.
9th (12) Good Call
2Callum HutchinsonJ S MooreWent off the 50-1 outsider of six when finishing a remote last behind Flicka's Girl on her AW debut; is 9lb better off with the winner but will do very well to turn things round.
14th (9) Bright Era
2Liam KeniryJ S MooreDam won her first two as a 2yo for the Channon yard and this early foal is worth a look in the betting, although her trainer (also runs Good Call) isn't the force of old in early juvenile races and has a poor record with them here.
3rd (8) Big Bug
2Darragh KeenanMartin DunneTrainer had a 2yo win first time out last autumn on the AW but this filly offered no immediate promise when a 66-1 shot on her debut on Monday.
13th (14) Sienna Gold
2Gina ManganRod MillmanLike stablemate Dynamite Diva (who is perhaps the more interesting under Ross Coakley) she holds a few sales race entries later on; market moves between the pair will tell a tale though.
6th (7) Biddable
2William CoxTom Dascombe12,000euros (yearling) Super Sprint entrant who doesn't turn two until next Thursday; trainer has a fair record with juveniles here but others look more likely.
12th (13) Lizzie Bubbles
2Kieran O'NeillAlice HaynesJanuary-foaled 6,000euros yearling whose dam won over 7f but has stamina in her pedigree; headgear goes on for today's debut for a yard in good nick lately.
10th (2) Dynamite Diva
2Ross CoakleyRod MillmanEarly-foaled 20,000gns yearling who holds a few sales race entries later on; is her trainer's first 2yo runner of the season (alongside Sienna Gold) and well worth tracking in the market.
8th (4) Paint The Town Red
2Rob HornbyRichard SpencerStill a few weeks away from turning two and has stamina on the dam's side (produced a 1m4f winner), so wouldn't obviously appeal as an early juvenile on paper; in-form trainer is 1-1 with 2yos this spring though.
5th (15) Washington Dancer
2Pat CosgraveDavid EvansLike Spirited Dancer shaped nicely after a slow start (hit traffic too) at Kempton nine days ago; it's hard to know the merits of that race as yet but she too is entitled to improve.
(10) Daisy Inthe Breeze
2Silvestre De SousaDominic Ffrench Davis2,000gns first foal of a fair five-time sprint winner who improved with time; Silvestre De Sousa is a pleasing 5-19 for the yard and the market will show what's expected.
1st (6) Betty Clover
2Georgia DobieEve Johnson HoughtonTrainer unleashed the useful Juniper Berries in this last spring and the yard has made a similarly bright start this time, with two successful newcomers already; this early-foaled half-sister to their 3yo 6f AW winner Another Thought is worth keeping an eye on.
7th (5) Spirited Dancer
2Charles BishopJack ChannonShaped with a deal of promise on her Polytrack debut last midweek (Washington Dancer just behind), having blown the start and looked green during the race; will have learned plenty and today's stiffer 5f ought to work in her favour; goes on the shortlist.
2nd (11) Englemere
2Billy LoughnaneGeorge BougheyEarly foal who hails from a decent family of sprinters but went for just £1,000 as a yearling; yard still to really get rolling with 2yos this spring and doesn't have a great record with them here but she's one of the more interesting newcomers.
4th (1) Flicka's Girl
2Laura PearsonDavid LoughnaneDaughter of a 5f 2yo Wolverhampton winner who followed in her dam's tracks when landing a gamble early in the month; had a good bit in hand there and helps set the standard under a penalty.

Flicka's Girl knew her job and won well at Wolverhampton early in the month, having come in for good support. Now she's being asked to concede a penalty to a pair who conversely needed their opening experience at Kempton nine days ago, and the temptation is to go with SPIRITED DANCER, albeit there's nothing to choose between her and Washington Dancer on 2lb worse terms. Betty Clover, who represents last year's winning yard, is an interesting newcomer.[Graham Wheldon]

(9) Outer Edge
3Gina ManganChristopher MasonPromise over 5f here on his third 2yo run; only fourth of five on his nursery debut when last seen seven months ago; gelded since; type to do better this year.
(10) Damia
3Rhiain IngramVictor DartnallTen-race maiden; ran right up to her best when second to an improving sprinter at Lingfield two weeks ago (6f); should give her running but others appeal more for win purposes.
2nd (1) Kiss And Run
3Kieran O'NeillRachel Cook & John BridgerTook a big step forward when faced with soft ground in a nursery here last October, readily seeing off seven rivals over C&D (made most); improved again when third in a Goodwood novice on her final outing but a consequence of that is she's now 14lb higher than for her win; needs further progress back from six months off.
4th (4) Charlie Mason
3Rob HornbyTony CarrollNot at his best in a Class 4 nursery at Kempton when last seen in November but he'd progressed well before that, including a 6f AW success off 3lb lower last September; has left David Evans (same owners) since last seen; he'll need to be at his very best to take this after 163 days off.
(6) Moe's Legacy
3Cieren FallonRonald HarrisBelow par at Kempton on Wednesday but it was her first attempt at 7f, which stretched her; in good form on AW previously, winning over 6f at Kempton in February and then placed at Wolverhampton on her next two starts; showed promise over C&D last season and not ruled out now back down in trip.
3rd (7) Miss Stormy Night
3John FahyClive CoxHas shown promise in three AW runs this year but she's a keen goer and the addition of a hood didn't really calm her down at Southwell five weeks ago; can do better now handicapping at a modest level but she could really do with proving more tractable.
1st (8) Sub Thirteen
3Neil CallanTony CarrollDidn't look ahead of his mark in nursery/handicap runs for Ron Harris; change of scenery needs to have a positive effect.
(2) Clyde Bay
3Charles BishopEve Johnson HoughtonSteady improvement with each of his three runs as a 2yo; gelded since last seen; moves into handicaps with potential and he's one to note for market confidence.
(5) Part Time Britain
3Pat CosgraveDavid EvansUnplaced in five 2yo runs; not obviously well treated but a wind operation and the return of a tongue tie could be beneficial; others look safer all the same.
(3) Bated Breeze
3Tom QueallyGary MooreRan as well as he ever has when third of nine on his seasonal/handicap debut at Kempton 16 days ago, making a big move from the rear in the home straight; should be capable of better and showed promise on good to soft on debut; leading contender.

Clyde Bay (second choice), Miss Stormy Night and Outer Edge are all capable of better but BATED BREEZE (nap) was a big eyecatcher at Kempton on his seasonal return and a 1lb drop for that third placing looks generous. He made up a vast amount of ground from 3f out to 1f out on that occasion but those exertions saw him tie up close home. He looks well handicapped and can prove that point here.[Paul Smith]

(2) Glamorous Breeze
6William CoxChristopher MasonWins have come in the summer and she's well suited by easy/undulating courses; was better than ever last year but has tended to improve for a run or two and she's among the lowest rated back from six months off.
(8) Star Of Lady M
4Jason WatsonDavid O'MearaBack to something like her 2yo levels on the AW this winter and continues in good form; this is far tougher back on turf however, with her among the lowest rated, and she'll be doing well to make the frame.
(12) Tears Of A Clown
3Trevor WhelanHenry CandyKept to good to soft/soft ground by two yards last year, progressing with each start prior to pulling away her chances in Group 3 company latterly (behind Unbreak My Heart); remains open to further improvement after just four runs.
(11) Exponista
3Billy LoughnaneDavid LoughnaneHer small-field maiden win last summer (6f, good; made all) hasn't worked out and she may prove hard to place this time, having subsequently not been beaten far in a muddling Group 3; would be a surprise winner here in any case.
(4) Pepsi Cat
5Dougie CostelloSteph HollinsheadC&D win last summer came in 0-65 company, since when she's enjoyed a good time on Tapeta, with four victories from her last six runs; she's very consistent and likely to give her running again but that would leave her some way short of what's needed.
(3) Lil Guff
5Dylan HoganDaniel & Claire KublerHas done her winning in batches, often over another furlong, and always after a recent outing; is entitled to have come on for her recent AW comeback but she'd have been 21lb better off with Vadream were this a handicap.
4th (7) Sophia's Starlight
4Sam JamesGrant TuerFive-time winner last year (6f-7f), all from the front; got buzzed up on her comeback last month and is better than that but this is her first crack at 5f and she could have done with the rain continuing.
2nd (1) Electric Storm
4Neil CallanJames TateTwo solid efforts at Kempton late last summer, coming away with the favourite on debut (7f) before making all to beat two subsequent winners (6f); stable had made a flying start to the year, prior to a quieter spell, but she'll need a good step forward.
(5) Pinafore
4Cieren FallonWilliam HaggasStable still to hit top gear for the season and this filly, whose four wins have come over 6f, including on soft ground last autumn, could have done without the drying weather back from six months off; the cheekpieces definitely helped last backend though.
(13) Unbreak My Heart
3John FahyClive CoxSteady progression last year, closing out with a solid third in Group 3 company; can race keenly and is usually dropped in, which is likely to be the case again from the outside stall, and she's one of the more interesting contenders.
(6) Rage Of Bamby
4Charles BishopEve Johnson HoughtonDidn't enjoy much luck during a limited campaign last year but there are no concerns about her ability to run to her best when fresh and a stiff 5f on drying ground is fine; she's one to consider.
3rd (9) Vadream
6Callum ShepherdCharlie FellowesThree wins have come in the spring/autumn on soft/heavy ground, two of them over 6f (stays 7f fine); has no penalty for last May's Group 3 win (ran three times in Group 1s subsequently) but she could have done without the improved weather.
1st (10) Adaay In Devon
3Silvestre De SousaRod MillmanHighly progressive in the second half of last year for tackling soft/heavy turf, winning four times and going 26lb up the weights; has looked at least as good this spring but she'd have preferred the rain to keep falling.

5f on drying ground, even round a stiff course, wouldn't look optimal for either Pinafore, whose wins have all come over 6f, or last spring's Group 3 Palace House winner Vadream, whose three turf victories have come on soft/heavy going, especially with both returning from absences. Adaay In Devon is another who'd have preferred the rain to have kept coming and this can go to RAGE OF BAMBY, a useful juvenile who didn't get the breaks during a limited campaign last year. Electric Storm is having her first run on turf and first crack at 5f back from seven months off, leaving Unbreak My Heart, who had the hard-pulling Tears Of A Clown behind when closing out last season with a third in Group 3 company, as second choice.[Graham Wheldon]

(12) Frontpagemoos
3Kieran O'NeillJoe PontingHuge prices and well held in four starts on the AW this year including on handicap debut; hard to fancy.
(1) Voix De Bocelli
4Cieren FallonHenrietta C KnightTwice placed over hurdles in France last autumn and both starts in AW novices (1m/1m2f) this month haven't been without promise; may show a bit more once handicapped after this, though.
(3) Enzo Maresca
3Lewis EdmundsJennie CandlishHalf-brother to two winners including Rovienne (French 1m1f-1m4f including AW; RPR 103); dam French 1m winner (83), half-sister to French 6.5f/7f AW winner Rancon Royale out of Canadian 1m2f Grade 1 winner; something to like on pedigree, but only of interest if attracting support.
(9) Airgunner
3Rob HornbyJonathan PortmanHalf-brother to winners Solar Flair (6f-7f including AW; 108), Warbird (7f 2yo/1m; 95) and New Queen (Italian 6f/7.5f; 89); dam 1m-1m2f winner (83), half-sister to 5f Group 3 winner Ziria (dam of 4 Listed winners); stable doesn't have many winning newcomers, but his pedigree makes him worth a second look.
(4) Fortnum
3Billy LoughnaneGeorge BougheyGreen when fifth of seven on his Wolverhampton debut (9.5f, AW) in January since when he has been gelded; worth a market check on return though drop in trip may not be ideal on pedigree.
4th (11) Epidavros
3Silvestre De SousaDavid LoughnaneDam unraced half-sister to French 7.5f 2yo/US 1m1f Grade 1 winner Amorama (dam of French 1m3f Group 2 winner Ampere) and Listed winners Table Ronde (French 1m) and Uncoiled (Japanese 1m2f); nice pedigree and the stable does have winning newcomers; interesting to see how she fares in the market with Silvestre De Sousa booked.
(6) Happy Chandler
3Marco GhianiMichael BlakeModest form in two starts for Owen Burrows last summer; makes his stable debut (same owners) after eight months off having been gelded in the meantime; needs to raise his game.
1st (10) Volto Di Medusa
3Callum ShepherdRae GuestBest effort in three starts for Joseph O'Brien last year when third of 13 in a Thurles maiden (1m, soft; first-time cheekpieces, now removed) on his final outing; changed hands for 21,000gns soon afterwards and makes his debut for his new yard (won this race two years ago) after 197 days off having been gelded in the meantime; interesting.
3rd (2) Prefer The Sister
4Dylan HoganJack JonesHas shown ability in both starts over 7f on the AW since making her belated debut last month; the extra furlong should suit and although she can be handicapped after this, is still a player in this field.
(7) Oscar Mike
3Ross CoakleyEd Walker26,000gns yearling, 32,000gns 2yo; half-brother to five winners including Tuwaiq (1m/8.7f including 2yo/Sweden; RPR 101), Apercu (10.6f AW; 80) and Pallas Lord (multiple 7f/1m including AW; 74); dam 1m2f AW winner (64), half-sister to 1m Group 2 winner Macadamia; makes some appeal on pedigree, but stable has few winning newcomers.
2nd (5) God Bless America
3George DowningEve Johnson HoughtonRunner-up in both starts on the AW at Southwell (7f/1m) in the past two months; the form of neither race has worked out particularly well, but still a big player.

Prefer The Sister and God Bless America have each shown ability in two starts on the AW and although the form may not be the strongest, they still have to be respected in this field. Money for any of the newcomers, in particular Airgunner and Epidavros, would be interesting, but the vote goes to VOLTO DI MEDUSA. His third of 13 at Thurles on his final start for Joseph O'Brien last year showed that there may be better to come and his new stable won this race in 2022.[David Bellingham]

7Billy LoughnaneMark LoughnaneOff the mark for this yard when coming from off the pace to beat Virtual Hug at Wolverhampton last month (1m6f); not quite so good when third back there two weeks ago; ran well on his only visit here; each-way shout.

10th (3) Imperial Cult
5Rhys ClutterbuckRachel Cook & John Bridger12-race maiden but he's shown enough to think he could win a similar event; should be sharper with last month's reappearance behind him; one to consider.
6th (6) Tigerten

The return to turf shouldn't be an issue for VIRTUAL HUG and he can continue his good run of form this year. Black Smoke (second choice) and Mini Mildred head the list of dangers, although improved showings from Head Of State and Tigerten wouldn't be complete bolts from the blue.[Paul Smith]

5Lewis EdmundsWilliam Muir & Chris GrassickNow 6lb lower than for the second of his two wins; that was back in August 2022 but his blank season last year has resulted in him returning off a lowly mark; has gone well fresh; respected.

4Cieren FallonRoger TealLightly raced 4yo; ready winner of a C&D handicap on soft ground on his reappearance one year ago; came up just short in Class 5 company afterwards and absent for 309 days but he still has potential and that doesn't apply to many in here; return to Class 6 company a fillip too.
(1) Three Yorkshiremen
4Silvestre De SousaMichael WighamTook full advantage of the drop into Class 6 company when fairly bolting up over 1m2f at Chelmsford last week; well in under his 5lb penalty and shouldn't have any issue with either the ground or the drop in trip; the one to beat.

Three Yorkshiremen had a Chelmsford handicap in safe keeping a long way out last week and he'll be hard to beat under a penalty despite the drop in trip. Most of his rivals are fully exposed but the exception is JOHNJAY, who won over C&D last April before holding his own in stronger races. He could progress again this year and looks a viable alternative. Snapcracklepop and Eye Of The Water look best of the rest, while the return of headgear for Emorcee could see him return to form.[Paul Smith]

4William CarverSimon HodgsonPromising third of eight on her Kempton debut (1m3f, AW) in January, but well beaten in both starts since; from a classy Juddmonte family and still has time to make her mark now making her turf/handicap debut.
(10) Racing Demon
4Liam WrightEd de GilesBoth wins in 20 starts came last summer (1m, good to firm), but he does handle softer ground and his record fresh suggests that last month's Southwell return (1m, AW) would have been needed; worth a second look.
3rd (4) Soi Dao
5Gina ManganAdrian WintleForm has rather regressed since winning at Wolverhampton (8.6f, AW) in January; needs to bounce back and her record of 2-31 suggests that others are more likely.
(9) Lilandra
7Callum HutchinsonJohn & Rhys FlintGoes on any ground and three of her four wins have come over C&D, two of them in the second half of last year; 8lb higher on this return from seven months off and her record fresh is a cause for concern.
(6) Kimifive
9Cieren FallonSue GardnerOfficially rated 31lb higher at his peak and went down by just a head in the 2020 Stewards' Cup, but a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then; three starts on the AW since joining this yard have been poor.
1st (3) Darvel
6Charles BishopPatrick ChamingsStill 1lb lower than when winning at Brighton (1m, good to firm) last summer; off six months, but has run well fresh before and goes on any ground; contender.
(2) Covert Mission
6Benoit De La SayetteKevin Philippart De FoyBack off the same mark as when successful at Lingfield (7.6f, soft) last summer and there was encouragement in his latest fourth of nine at Kempton (1m, AW); interesting back from a short break.
(11) Golden Phase
4George BassDenis CoakleySole win in 11 starts came off 6lb lower over C&D (good to soft) last August; placed in all four subsequent starts on the AW (in cheekpieces last time) and a player if ready to go after five months off; market may be helpful.
2nd (7) King Of Speed
5Billy LoughnaneMark LoughnaneHas been most consistent since returning to the AW last November, especially since stepped up to this sort of trip; despite that he remains favourably treated on turf, being 2lb lower than when successful at Leicester (6f, soft) in May last year; high on list.

Covert Mission is a contender now back off his last winning mark having put up an encouraging effort on the AW last time, while Darvel is also interesting off 1lb lower than when last successful. Racing Demon and Golden Phase are others for the shortlist, but the choice is KING OF SPEED who has been performing so consistently on the AW since the autumn. Despite that he remains 2lb below his last winning turf mark.[David Bellingham]
