14:00 Downpatrick Maiden Hurdle 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TALK IN THE PARK had some useful form for Mags Mullins and was fourth in a valuable handicap at Navan in December. On his second outing for Ross O'Sullivan and after a three-month break, the six-year-old was runner-up in a competitive maiden at Ballinrobe and this looks a good opportunity at a venue where he was placed last year. Step Out was runner-up in a bumper at Ayr in March and has filled the same position in two starts over hurdles here. He is likely to contend again for his local yard. Ashlia Dancer was third over C&D on her penultimate start and returned from a 19-month layoff to finish a creditable second at Tramore.

TALK IN THE PARK isn't obviously capable of better but he ran right up to his best when second at Ballinrobe a fortnight ago and a repeat of that level may well suffice. Step Out is very likely to give his running again, with Backonthegoagain also of interest having won both starts in points.

The 114-rated TALK IN THE PARK has enough form to suggest that mark is fairly accurate and can step forward from his Ballinrobe second

14:10 Doncaster Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Josephine Gordon and CHARENCEY teamed up nicely to score at Leicester and although disappointing on soft ground at the same venue since, the partnership looks worth another chance if granted more favourable underfoot conditions. Al Muqdad was fourth is that aforementioned race, but came out of it well enough to win at Ayr and rates a key player here. C&D winner Albeseeingyer can also go close if replicating the performance that carried her into third at Beverley on her seasonal debut.

AL MUQDAD confirmed he's still on the upgrade when scoring at Ayr 2 weeks ago and he looks capable of defying a 3 lb rise. Red Maids took a big step back in the right direction at Yarmouth and rates the main threat ahead of Albeseeingyer, who should come on for his belated return at Beverley.

Prolific winner ALBESEEINGYER (nap) is taken to get off the mark for the season by beating Charencey and Priscilla's Wish.

14:15 Gowran Park Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

THE PARTHENON was pitched in at the deep end on his debut and can strike in maiden company now. The son of Kingman contested the Group 3 Marble Hill Stakes at the Curragh just over three weeks ago and was far from disgraced when finishing fifth of the seven runners. He should have learned a good bit from that experience. Green Triangle looks the obvious danger having been runner-up on his debut at Roscommon last month. The Gleneagles colt went down by half a length, with the front two pulling nicely clear. The Dermot Weld-trained newcomer Hazdann is one to note in the market. His half-brother was Group 3-placed in France.

THE PARTHENON acquitted himself very well in face of a stiff task when fifth in a Group 3 at the Curragh on debut and sets a high standard for a maiden. Green Triangle looks well up to winning one of these after his promising second at Roscommon so rates the main threat ahead of William F Browne, who also offered something to work on first time out.

Kingman colt THE PARTHENON (nap) was introduced in the Group 3 Marble Hill Stakes, showing enough to suggest he can win here

14:25 Salisbury Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Just half a length separated Orbital (winner) and Never Mind Me (second) at Chelmsford last time and they are likely to be closely matched again on revised terms, but a chance is taken on OTTOMAN FORCE. The son of Land Force is related to a few speedy types but has found sprint trips too sharp of late. He is edging down the weights and a step up to 7f could spark some improvement. Rothay Park is also noted.

Recent Chelmsford 1-2 ORBITAL and Never Mind Me look the pair to focus on, with Sir Mark Prescott's filly taken to confirm superiority on the revised terms. Rothay Park may prove best of the rest.

The rematch between Orbital and Never Mind Me could go either way. OTTOMAN FORCE looks a plausible alternative.

14:32 Downpatrick Maiden Hurdle 19f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Runner-up in a Clonmel maiden in December, SIREKOFF may be good enough to land a weak contest. The Sholokhov gelding twice ran respectably last month, latterly in a Limerick claimer, and steps back up in trip. General Dynamics was a huge price when running well in a beginners' chase at Tipperary over a year ago. Now with a new yard, he would have a definite chance on that form, but has been off seven months. Aine's Lad has run respectably in both bumpers and is a half-brother to a useful hurdler/chaser in Britain. Divilskin had a fruitless spell with Paul Nicholls, but has regained the winning thread in point-to-points since rejoining his original trainer.

Although DIVILSKIN didn't take to hurdling for Paul Nicholls last autumn the fact he's won 2 points since joining Colin Bowe suggests that he could leave those previous hurdle efforts well behind now. Shark Hanlon's Sirekoff ran well in a claimer last time and may give the selection most to think about. Aine's Lad has hinted at ability in bumpers and could also figure if taking to hurdling.

The one to be on should be SIREKOFF, whose form would give him a chance in an ordinary maiden hurdle, let alone one of this quality

14:40 Doncaster Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BUCKSHAW VILLAGE has shown improved form since joining his current yard and from 5lb below his sole previous winning mark, the five-year-old can make the most of his chance at the weights. Cold Stare has winning form over this trip and is a must for consideration, despite being burdened with top weight. The class-dropping Snazzy Jazzy also appeals from a highly competitive figure, even though he boasts only a modest record over this distance.

COLD STARE only just failed to reel in a thriving rival at Hamilton last time and a repeat of that performance should be enough to see him go one better. Buckshaw Village has held his form admirably well this season and should be in the mix again, whilst Cue's Beau would also be a leading player if bouncing back from last month's Catterick disappointment.

This looks another good opportunity for COLD STARE who has been in such good form this season. Buckshaw Village is next best.

14:45 Gowran Park Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MM DRAGONFLY is interesting here on her handicap debut and first outing for Paddy Twomey. The Invincible Spirit filly showed some ability in Dundalk maidens earlier in the year and catches the eye now off a lowly mark of 65. Tanazadia is another who could be nicely treated on her handicap debut. The Aga Khan-owned filly ran a solid race when fifth in a Naas maiden on her seasonal debut and a mark of 68 doesn't look harsh. Dark Viper has been knocking on the door and should appreciate stepping back up in trip having been third at the Curragh last time.

MM DRAGONFY is very interesting having switched to Paddy Twomey ahead of her handicap debut and she gets the nod, with confidence in her chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Johnny Murtagh's Tanazadia is another who appeals as one who should have more to offer in handicaps and is second choice ahead of the more-established Dark Viper, a good third at the Curragh last week.

There are a few unexposed runners here, and it could pay to take a chance with HELP ME RHONDA who recently qualified for a mark

14:55 Salisbury Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TWILIGHT DANCER, a winner at Brighton on her penultimate start, was a little disappointing over the same course and distance off a 5lb raised mark last time. That effort did come in a higher grade, though, and Jonathan Portman's filly could resume her progress now eased in class. Beau Jardine likes it around here and he must be considered off a competitive rating, while others to note include Pumalin Park and Bantry.

A case can be made for a few of these but BEAU JARDINE goes really well here and arrives at the top of his game so edges the vote. Snuggle could emerge as the main danger on the back of his good recent Windsor second, although Sayifyouwill, Bantry, Pumalin Park and Twilight Dancer can all have a say too in a very open handicap.

The vote goes to SAYIFYOUWILL, who is 1-1 over C&D and returns here off a workable mark. Snuggle is second choice.

15:02 Downpatrick Handicap Hurdle 19f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TIDEWAYS HERO beat geldings over this trip at Clonmel and is now 8lb higher and up in grade. She had been off for seven months prior to that breakthrough success and may be capable of further improvement. New Year Honours was in good form over hurdles last summer and chased home a smart horse on the all-weather in December. She had a spin in a charity race last month and may be able to resume progress in this discipline. One Night Standard shaped well in stronger maidens before easily justifying favouritism in a modest contest at Wexford. She has better ground and a shorter trip to deal with here, but could be on a fair mark for her handicap debut. Hidden Land has to make the shortlist given her liking for the track.

Last-time-out winners ONE NIGHT STANDARD and Tideways Hero are both open to further improvement for excellent yards, with minor preference for the former. Hidden Land is more exposed but is weighted to have a say.

The one to beat looks like TIDEWAYS HERO(nap) who might not be stopped by the 8lb penalty for her convincing win at Clonmel

15:10 Doncaster Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Cabelleroso and Saytarr have appealing pedigrees and can build on their debut runs to figure at the business end. However, the bar isn't set too high for LAZY GRIFF to make a big impact on his racecourse bow. A full-brother to a Group 3 winner in Germany, he runs for a yard doing well with juveniles this season and could lay down another useful marker. Sir Paul Ramsey runs for the same stable and also warrants a betting check.

This won't be straightforward for CABELLEROSO against a fair-looking clutch of newcomers but he's very much the percentage call having finished second on debut at Chester 3 weeks ago. Charlie Johnston is in excellent form and he saddles a couple of likely types in Sir Paul Ramsey and Lazy Griff.

Cabelleroso shaped well at Chester but slight preference is for SAYTARR, who is expected to improve markedly on his Yarmouth debut.

15:16 Gowran Park Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SLUICE has been running well in some competitive events and wouldn't be winning out of turn here. The Starspangledbanner filly was placed twice to start her campaign before finishing a close fifth at the Curragh in a race that has worked out well. Cheekpieces are tried now and any rain should help. Indigo Five ended last year with a big run to finish second at the Curragh having won at the same venue previously. She is only 2lb higher on her return and commands respect. Drop The Dip is another filly who had a good year in 2023 and will appreciate any rain.

RED HEEL signalled she's ready to end a long losing run when a good recent second at Down Royal so this C&D winner looks the way to go here. In-form Elinor Dashwood could emerge as the main danger ahead of the returning Indigo Five and course scorer Barnhill Rose.

Hard to rule any of these out. RED HEEL is now 12lb below her last winning mark and returned to form with a Down Royal second

15:25 Salisbury Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Hello Cotai pulled hard on the way down to post at Nottingham a fortnight ago, so it was to his credit that he was able to claim the runner-up spot. Should he settle better, Adam West's charge will be a threat to all. However, the vote goes to NEVER DREAM, who made a winning handicap debut over 7f at Goodwood and looks set to improve for the step up to a mile. Beach Point heads the remainder.

BEACH POINT has shown improved form this season, only narrowly denied under a penalty at Lingfield on his latest outing, so he is taken to continue his good spell and resume winning ways. New Kings Road still looked in need of the experience when making a successful return and is feared most, ahead of Hello Cotai.

A few potential improvers here but BEACH POINT is building up a level of consistency and he looks the solid choice to take this.

15:32 Downpatrick Handicap Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MEDIA NARANJA made the frame in two handicaps last month, including a 24-runner contest at the Punchestown Festival, and there was little wrong with her latest run, which saw her chase home a well-treated stablemate in a conditions event at Killarney. The daughter of Yeats can resume winning ways. Run For Harry has improved for better ground this spring and got off the mark at Kilbeggan last month. He was game in front on that occasion and can contend again off a 5lb higher mark. Useful Flat performer Phoenix Cowboy performed well over a furlong further on handicap debut at Limerick. The mare who beat him went close next time and a 3lb rise doesn't look harsh.

MEDIA NARANJA has been going the right way in her 3 starts this season, beaten only by an already useful stablemate at Listowel on her latest outing, so she can continue her progress to get back to winning ways. Run For Harry opened his account at Kilbeggan last month and isn't taken lightly, with Phoenix Cowboy also in the mix.

A repeat of her Listowel run will make MEDIA NARANJA very hard to beat here despite giving weight all round

15:40 Doncaster Stakes (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Hosaamm justified his place in the market when scoring by a head over 1m2f at Newbury and now takes a further step up in trip, but he could find it tough to concede his 7lb penalty to THE KING'S GENERAL. John & Thady Gosden's three-year-old finished a fair fourth over 1m2f at Nottingham and could improve plenty for that effort up now in distance. The son of Dubawi can get his head in front for the first time, while 110,000gns purchase Mr Nugget warrants a market check on his debut.

HOSAAMM has plenty about him physically and confirmed the promise showed on debut when successful on return at Newbury (10f) 4 weeks ago. Very much the type to go on improving, he earns the vote to follow up now tackling this longer trip. Oxford Comma looked better the further she went when making a winning return at Newbury in May and she's a big threat. Inner Peace and The King's General are just a couple of others to note in an interesting race.

Promising filly OXFORD COMMA is first choice, ahead of The King's General whose reappearance form has substance.

15:45 Thirsk Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Ripple Effect arrives on the back of two creditable efforts in defeat and she's likely to be in the mix with a similar bid. However, she could prove to be vulnerable, with GHOST RUN topping the bill. There was plenty of encouragement to be taken from her fifth-placed debut at Goodwood last month and that experience should enable a more polished performance. Ripon runner-up Beronia is also sure to prove popular.

GHOST RUN caught the eye on debut when fifth in what is traditionally a decent maiden at Goodwood 3 weeks ago so could be the answer. Alice Fairfax and Beronia also showed something to work on first time up, while Shining Pearl is a newcomer to note.

Shining Pearl is a newcomer of note but Final Angel and GHOST RUN can leave their debut runs well behind them.

15:51 Gowran Park Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

With Amy Jo Hayes able to claim her 7lb here, PINK SOCKS is fancied to confirm course form with Engines On from 13 days ago. The in-form 7lb claimer got a good tune from the Vadamos mare when scoring over C&D, beating her rival by three-parts of a length. She gave 10lb away to Engines On and when the claims are taken into account, she concedes 4lb this time. Kodiac Prince has been knocking on the door and could go well under top weight.

PINK SOCKS looked better than ever when scoring over C&D on return and there was something to spare, so he's fancied to confirm placings with Engines On, who should also go well.

The admirable KODIAC PRINCE beat Pink Socks in a division of this 12 months ago and he returns in good order.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

NEW CHARTER failed to fire in the Woodcote at Epsom a couple of weeks ago, but Richard Hannon's filly had shown plenty of promise on her debut at Newmarket and can be given another chance here. Her stablemate An Outlaw's Grace is a noteworthy newcomer having cost 80,000 pounds and he is a half-brother to the Listed-placed Thanks Monica. Aysgarth should not be discounted, while similar comments apply to El Madar.

Things didn't go to plan for NEW CHARTER when favourite for the Woodcote at Epsom so she is well worth another chance to confirm debut promise in what looks a much weaker affair. Aysgarth looks sure to improve on her Ascot debut and can follow the selection home.

Richard Hannon holds a strong hand with New Charter and AN OUTLAW'S GRACE. The latter is preferred, with Sean Levey on board.

16:05 Downpatrick Maiden Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Placed on handicap debut at Naas, RED GLORY went down by only a neck on good-ish ground at Tipperary last month and he may be able to go one better from a 3lb higher mark. Only A Dollar appreciated dropping back in trip when winning a 2m mares' maiden at Clonmel and was raised 7lb for that, while Rauzan got off the mark over half a mile further at Tramore and is also 7lb higher.

RED GLORY has improved with each start over hurdles, edged out only late in the day on the back of an 8-week break at Tipperary 32 days ago and, with further progress likely, he looks to hold sound claims of going one place better. Ossie's Lodge (fourth on the Flat at Fairyhouse on Friday) is shaping up well and he's a threat if lining up here. Seasett can do best of the remainder.

The one to beat is OSSIE'S LODGE who has come back in good form in the spring and has a race like this in him

16:10 Doncaster Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Society Lion made every yard of the running to be victorious by just under two lengths in a class 5 event at Yarmouth last time, but this requires more off a 5lb higher rating and ABRUZZO MIA could be the way to go. The seven-year-old flew home late to reach the frame here on his latest outing and he can capitalise on his unchanged mark. Ardbraccan and City Of York are just two others to consider.

GREAT MAX shaped well on his first start for David O'Meara when an unlucky-in-running sixth at Newmarket last month and can build on it here to gain an overdue success. Handily-weighted Speriamo heads the list of dangers, although Abruzzo Mia, Al Marmar and Ardbraccan are others who bring very solid credentials to this very competitive handicap.

David O'Meara's new recruit GREAT MAX is taken to build on his eyecatching Newmarket sixth. Al Marmar is feared most.

16:15 Thirsk Handicap (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having landed the spoils in taking fashion at both Redcar and Carlisle last month, PABORUS has a bright future ahead of him. Ed Bethell's gelding enters handicaps off what looks to be a workable mark and a hat-trick could be on the horizon. The biggest threat may emerge from fellow last-time-out winner Diligent Resdev, who surprised at big odds when leading in the dying strides at York last month. Cargin Bhui and Piz Nair also have the form to feature.

BURDETT improved to score impressively in a big field at York last time and is worth a chance to follow up at the possible expense of Paborus, who is improving rapidly and makes plenty of appeal on handicap debut. Cargin Bhui and Piz Nair are in good order and expected to be on the premises, too.

The in form PABORUS looks well treated and is taken to complete a hat-trick on his handicap debut.

16:21 Gowran Park Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SINBAD MY DAD should appreciate the slight drop in trip here having only weakened late on over 1m2f in a stronger race last time. The Seamus Fahey-trained gelding had previously run well on his reappearance when fourth at Killarney. Despite having to concede weight to all but one rival, he looks up to the task. Tachos reverts to racing against her own age group having shaped well when third at Leopardstown against her elders. Adam Caffrey looks a very significant booking here for trainer Dermot Weld. Artful Approach undoubtedly has the ability to win a race of this nature when everything falls right.

PUTURHANDSTOGETHER is unexposed and caught the eye in no uncertain terms when a staying-on third at this course on handicap debut. Up in trip, there could be a chunk of improvement in him, so he's preferred to Sinbad My Dad, who shaped well at Fairyhouse recently. Tachos and La Juliana are others to consider in what appeals as a strong race for the grade.

This will be the first time beyond 1m for ARTFUL APPROACH and he may stay effectively enough to cope with these rivals

16:30 Salisbury Stakes (Class 2) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

EJAABIYAH confirmed the promise that she displayed on debut when filling second place in a 1m2f Listed race at Newbury last month and the daughter of Frankel is hard to oppose on the back of that performance. Catch The Light took a step forward when a close third at Bath on her return to action and she edges out Song Of Appin to be best of the rest.

EJAABIYAH holds an entry in the Irish Oaks and rates as a standout contender back in a novice after her fine second in listed company last time. Catch The Light pulled clear of the remainder when a close third at Bath next time and should pose the biggest threat, with Fight For You perhaps open to the most significant improvement having not been seen to best effect on debut.

It's hard to get away from EJAABIYAH, who is back in calmer waters after her creditable second in a Listed race last month.

16:35 Downpatrick Handicap Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Paul Flynn-trained RIGHTFOLKSPLEASE can recover losses here having been a beaten favourite at Roscommon earlier in the week. Runner-up on that occasion, the six-year-old filled the same position on his penultimate start at Wexford and having done little wrong in either run, he can register a first career success. La Hacienda looks absolutely thrown in off a hurdles mark of 89, given that she is rated 1lb higher on the Flat. However, having failed to beat a single rival in two outings on the level since returning from a break, the Matthew Smith-trained mare has questions to answer. Another Bonnie holds claims if fit enough on her first start since last June.

RIGHTFOLKSPLEASE didn't entirely convince with his finishing effort but his latest second at Roscommon 6 days ago highlighted he's well up to defying this sort of mark and he could be the way to go. Handicap debutante Reel Her In, La Hacienda and Across The Ocean are others to consider, with the returning Another Bonnie also worth a second look on handicap bow.

Plenty will give Rightfolksplease another chance but stablemate LUCKY POLICY has hinted at ability and makes appeal at bigger odds

16:40 Doncaster Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

EAGLE LANDED was just denied by a head at Leicester when making his first start for the John Jenkins stable. The son of Charm Spirit is only 3lb higher and, with Silvestre De Sousa booked, he ought to go close. The main threat might be Forgotten Treasure, who has her first attempt at this trip after hitting the line well to finish third over 6f at Lingfield. Of the remainder, Lumenbourg makes the most appeal on his handicap debut.

In a race where few arrive with compelling claims EAGLE LANDED is given a chance to build on his good opening effort for the John Jenkins yard at Leicester. Profiteer showed he can be competitive from his mark last time and rates a threat now stepping up to 7f for the first time. Alice's Impact failed to make an impact on her Redcar handicap debut but the fact she went off favourite suggests she's thought capable of better by the Quinn stable.

With rain forecast the pick is EAGLE LANDED, who ran a big race in defeat on heavy ground on his recent stable debut.

16:45 Thirsk Handicap (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The Iain Jardine-trained Catherine Chroi has already racked up six victories in 2024 and she warrants respect having displayed a willing attitude to triumph at Hamilton on her most recent outing. However, the returning MEZZO SOPRANO capped off last year's campaign with a cosy victory at Kempton and a 6lb rise is unlikely to prove to be the ceiling of her ability. The Exceed And Excel filly could take all the beating, while Mereside Diva and Fiver Friday are unlikely to go down without a fight either.

MEZZO SOPRANO rewarded the patient approach of connections in spades during the second half of 2023, winning all 3 starts, and this well-bred filly rather stands out on profile ahead of this reappearance. Mereside Diva is more exposed but seems sure to give it a good go, as should the thriving Catherine Chroi.

Unbeaten MEZZO SOPRANO is taken to show further progress and make a successful reappearance. Mereside Diva is second choice.

16:51 Gowran Park Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SIEGE OF TROY can get off the mark at the second time of asking having only just lost out at Naas on her racecourse debut last month. The Johnny Murtagh-trained filly looked to need every yard of the mile trip on that occasion, so stepping up almost two furlongs should be in her favour. With a rating of 86, Jessica Harrington's Betula sets a fair standard to aim at. Runner-up at Down Royal last time, the daughter of Lope De Vega is stepped up significantly in trip now. Abbey Actress improved considerably on a moderate debut effort when staying on nicely to finish fifth at the Curragh on her latest start. It would be no surprise to see further progression here.

SIEGE OF TROY produced a really promising first effort when second at Naas 4 weeks ago and she's fancied to win this en route to better things. Abbey Actress left her debut run well behind when an eye-catching fifth in a decent maiden at the Curragh and is next best ahead of Betula.

A Pretty Polly entry may be highly optimistic but SIEGE OF TROY would have won in another stride or two at Naas.

17:00 Salisbury Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

On The Cards failed to justify favouritism when he finished third in this grade at Brighton last time, but he sports first-time cheekpieces now which could eke out more. However, the vote goes to CHIPS AND RICE, who hit the crossbar at Lingfield last month and goes off an unchanged mark. James Fanshawe's five-year-old is well treated and can go one place better, while God Of Fire warrants a market check.

CROESO CYMRAEG is now into the veteran stage but he clearly retains plenty of ability judged on his latest midfield effort over further at Windsor 4 weeks ago. Back at the scene of each of his last 2 victories, he's been afforded a chance by the assessor and could be worth chancing in an open affair. Photon and Expert Witness are others to consider.

Preference is for the veteran CROESO CYMRAEG, who runs this track well and has slipped to a good mark after two respectable efforts.

17:05 Downpatrick NH Flat Race 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Despite suffering an odds-on reversal on her racecourse debut, the Willie Mullins-trained SI SE PUEDE looks the one to beat. A full-sister to El Fabiolo, the five-year-old was beaten half a length at Tramore last month. However, with the winner going on to finish second in a winners' race next time, that form may not have been too bad. Gers Gigi has been placed on both starts to date, including behind a subsequent winner at Ballinrobe last time. The Gordon Elliott-trained mare will make the likely favourite work hard at the very least. Tramore third Broomfield Gale should be capable of getting involved for minor honours.

SI SE PUEDE failed to justify very short odds at Tramore on debut but she still shaped well and should make no mistake at the second attempt. Gers Gigi is the obvious danger and Broomfield Gale has solid place claims.

In all likelihood a match and GERS GIGI, who has shown solid form in competitive contests at Ballinrobe, is preferred to Si Se Puede

17:10 Doncaster Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Kurimu had to settle for second when sent off favourite at Brighton, but she is likely to be in the mix with a similar bid. However, it could be worth taking a punt on the returning BORDERLINE BOSS. The Harry Angel gelding makes his handicap bow off what looks a fair mark, having finished third at Catterick in October in a race which has subsequently worked out well. Profit Street makes most appeal of the remainder.

A open-looking sprint in which preference is for SOUL SINGER, who took a step back in the direction when fifth at Thirsk last week and Tim Easterby's charge can open his account back down at a career-low mark. Profit Street has upped his game since being switched to handicaps, so he can give the selection most to think about, with Better and Kurimu another couple fancied to be involved.

With cheekpieces on and back in trip, the feasibly-treated BORDERLINE BOSS is taken to make a winning handicap debut.

17:15 Thirsk Handicap (Class 3) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ALIGN THE STARS (third) and Victory Shout (second) were not disgraced in a tactical race at Hamilton a fortnight ago, but the former was doing his best work in the closing stages and is taken to reverse the form over this slightly longer trip. Dunstan has proven stamina and is also a key player on his debut for Tom Dascombe, while stepping up in distance can also be a source of improvement for Castle In The Sand, who appeals as best of the rest.

TOO BOSSY FOR US continued his theme of race-by-race progress when opening his account at Ascot (10f) 5 weeks ago, the steady gallop probably masking his superiority to a degree. He shades the vote to continue on his upward curve tackling this longer trip. Align The Stars remains the type to do better again and is also of interest, with Extra Beat and Fox Legacy completing the shortlist.

A tough heat but the most unexposed horse here is FOX LEGACY who shaped well on his return. Too Bossy For Us can chase him home.

17:21 Gowran Park Stakes 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

C&D winner TRUSTYOURINSTINCT can make it three wins from four starts on the Flat. Successful on his first two career outings last season, the four-year-old had excuses when disappointing in Group company on his third run. Having progressed further over jumps this term, the Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding should be good enough to see off this opposition. Longbourn suffered a nightmare passage when fifth in a small field at Leopardstown earlier this month. The Ross O'Sullivan-trained eight-year-old can go close here granted better luck in running. Buttermere Ridge, a maiden winner at this track on his only start to date, could be open to plenty of improvement.

TRUSTYOURINSTINCT possesses much the best form on show so rates a confident choice to make a winning return to this sphere on the back of his Tramore hurdling victory. Longbourn is rated next best if, as expected, building on his Leopardstown reappearance fifth, with Narmar and Cristal Clere also in the picture for minor honours.

Last year's winner TRUSTYOURINSTINCT confirmed his recent wellbeing with a comfortable success over hurdles. Terms are favourable.

17:30 Salisbury Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TARITINO recorded a double in fine style over 1m6f at Bath recently and he is only 7lb higher for that triumph. Joe Tickle's four-year-old should have no issues with his drop back in trip and he could prove very hard to beat. The main danger is Vin Rouge, who hit the frame in this grade over 1m6f here last time and should go well off the same mark, while Wilderness can also get involved on her return to turf.

FIDDLERS GREEN has already enjoyed a very productive season and having given another good account of himself in a better handicap than this at Goodwood last week, is marginally preferred to Taritino, who chases a hat-trick. Of the rest, Vin Rouge should give it another good go.

Most of these are out of sorts but TARITINO (nap) has returned to form since going up in distance. Vin Rouge looks the main danger.

17:40 Doncaster Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SHOWBOATED arrives on the back of two creditable efforts in defeat and compensation could be on the cards. Nigel Tinkler's inmate is only 1lb higher than for his close-up third at Redcar and he shades the verdict over Musical Diva, who didn't enjoy the best of passages when shuffled back through the field at Lingfield and isn't take lightly off a 2lb lower mark. Kohana Girl is also noted.

SHOWBOATED kept on well after meeting trouble when third at Redcar last time and, if it drops right this time, he could be up to opening his account. Musical Diva should feature more prominently than last time dropped in grade and Tees Douge is of interest despite her quirks.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and SHOWBOATED is taken to gain a first success with his latest third having been franked.

17:45 Thirsk Handicap (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

A draw on the stands-side rail can be beneficial for LOOKING FOR LYNDA, who has been threatening to land one of these big-field sprints for a while and a bold showing is expected from the Karl Burke-trained four-year-old. Tees Spirit can also figure strongly if gets a solo on the far side, although Catterick winner Tatterstall is another live-wire when he gets the fractions right. Burning Cash is an each-way contender with first-time cheekpieces added.

An ultra-competitive feature in which the suggestion is TATTERSTALL, who proved better than ever with a dominant display from the front at Catterick last Saturday and a 7 lb rise may not be enough to stop Michael Dods's 4-y-o from going in again. Fair Wind notched his third career success from just a handful of starts at Goodwood last month, so he heads up the dangers, with American Affair, Looking For Lynda and Jer Batt all having plenty going for them, too.

Bergerac should make a bold bid but FAIR WIND (nap) created a big impression at Goodwood and he can go in again.

18:15 Thirsk Handicap (Class 4) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Dark Moon Rising produced a bit of a shock when scoring by just over a length at Hamilton earlier in the month and he has to be taken seriously off 4lb higher. However, preference is for RATHGAR, who hit the frame in a slightly stronger contest than this at Salisbury last time. With David Probert taking over the reins, he could be the one to beat, while Banderas is also noted.

LETSBEFRANK appeals as one who should have more to offer on the back of his convincing Hamilton success and can make light of a 6 lb rise with the step up to 1¾m likely to suit him on breeding. Valley of Flowers made good progress in 2023 and an encouraging reappearance at Nottingham suggests she's set for another productive campaign so she's feared most. Churchella and Marbuzet also make the shortlist.

Although up in grade, LETSBEFRANK won going away last time and could still be well treated, with this step up looking positive.

18:45 Thirsk Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Lettuce Leaf finished five lengths clear of the fourth when she hit the frame at this level on her latest outing at Redcar and she should remain competitive off the same rating. That said, she could come out second best to CUBAN STORM, who had Glory Hyde (second), Pinpoint (third) and Dandy Fitz (fifth) behind when successful at Redcar last month. The son of Havana Grey can confirm that form to record a double, while Willolarupi is another to consider after his third at Catterick.

Tom Tate's low-mileage filly LETTUCE LEAF made a promising return when a sweet-travelling Redcar third and is fancied to build on it here and open her account. Secret Command is feared most on the back of his recent Catterick success, with Redcar-winner Cuban Storm another who commands plenty of respect. In-form trio It's Showtime, Alfa Moonstone and Pinpoint all need factoring into this competitive handicap too.

Fiendish fare but Barnaby could benefit from wind surgery and LETTUCE LEAF looked ahead of her mark at Redcar.
