1st (6) (12/1 +0%) Nancy P |
12/1(+0%) | (6) Nancy P 12/1, Modest form. Fourth of 5 in handicap (7/1) at Yarmouth (11.5f, good to soft) 14 days ago. Beaten about 8l in her two handicaps (1m2f/1m3f) and has an unconvincing profile. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (11/2 -57%) Miss Dubai |
11/2(-57%) | (9) Miss Dubai 11/2, 20/1, very good second of 10 in C&D handicap 25 days ago, suited by increase in trip. Enters calculations. Had a wide trip before staying on for second on her first attempt at this trip here month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (6/1 -118%) Publicity |
6/1(-118%) | (7) Publicity 6/1, C&D winner in April. 10/3 and blinkered first time, creditable fifth of 10 in C&D handicap 25 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Cheekpieces back on. Ought to be thereabouts under De Sousa. Has improved for 1m4f; might be a bit quirky and De Sousa is back on board. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (80/1 -300%) Inbetweenus |
80/1(-300%) | (2) Inbetweenus 80/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 16/1 and cheekpieces on first time, sixth of 9 in handicap at Kempton (7f) in January. Off 145 days. Significantly up in trip with cheekpieces swapped for a first-time hood. Quiet handicap debut over 7f; not a certain stayer now hooded over a longer distance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (66/1 -560%) Eccentric |
66/1(-560%) | (5) Eccentric 66/1, Winner at Southwell (1m) in March. 17/2, ninth of 11 in handicap at Nottingham (1¼m, good) 20 days ago. Had threatened before coming good over 1m at Southwell but disappointing since then. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (25/1 -1011%) Godsend |
25/1(-1011%) | (4) Godsend 25/1, No show in 4 outings over 1m towards the end of 2023 but could prove a different proposition now handicapping over further. Market confidence would look significant. This son of Nathaniel smacks of a likely improver now handicapping over further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (80/1 -789%) Remarkable Flight |
80/1(-789%) | (3) Remarkable Flight 80/1, Came good in 1¼m Brighton handicap in May. 16/1, bit below form third of 8 in handicap at Chepstow (1¼m, good) 10 days ago. Up in trip. Narrow Brighton winner but then beaten 12l at Chepstow; unraced beyond 1m2f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (350/1 -3789%) Ardara Rose |
350/1(-3789%) | (8) Ardara Rose 350/1, Modest form. 16/1, creditable sixth of 10 in handicap at Windsor (11.5f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Still early days. Churchill filly who went handicapping off a low mark at Windsor but was only sixth of ten. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Last month's Brighton winner Remarkable Flight is upped in distance, while Publicity scored here in April but finished behind runner-up Miss Dubai over track and trip on his latest start. The latter was narrowly beaten on that occasion and can figure again, but a chance is taken on ARDARA ROSE. Richard Hannon's filly posted an improved effort at Windsor on her handicap debut and should go close with plenty of scope for further progress.
A chance is taken on Sir Mark Prescott handicap newcomer GODSEND, with confidence increased should the betting vibes be strong. Miss Dubai is respected on the back of a near miss over C&D last time, while Publicity has a solid record in AW handicaps, including a C&D win, so also has to enter the reckoning.
Sir Mark Prescott's GODSEND is raised in trip for his handicap debut and he has three entries later this week.

6th (8) (100/1 -1900%) Queen Dinah |
100/1(-1900%) | (8) Queen Dinah 100/1, Foaled February 22. Washington DC filly. Sister to 2-y-o 7f winner Venture Capital. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 7f Fox Trotter. 11/2, second of 10 in maiden at Redcar (6f, good) on debut 21 days ago. Likely to improve. Promising second on her Redcar debut and is a big player if she can build on that. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Kiss Me My Love posted another creditable effort in defeat when runner-up over 5f here towards the end of last month and she must enter calculations now upped in distance. However, the Craig Lidster-trained WE'VE GOT THIS makes slightly more appeal having finished second from an uncompromising position on her debut at Redcar three weeks ago. Any market support for newcomers Queen Dinah or Bright Lily would be interesting.
WE'VE GOT THIS has probably got this after a promising second on debut at Redcar 3 weeks ago. Kiss Me My Love is a player on form also, and Queen Dinah is the most interesting newcomer.
Preference is for KISS ME MY LOVE who has finished a clear second in both her runs including behind a useful prospect here 11 days ago.

1st (7) (10/1 -100%) Raintown |
10/1(-100%) | (7) Raintown 10/1, Returned to winning ways at this C&D in January. Has run creditably on his last 3 starts, fifth of 10 in handicap at Newbury (12f, good, 20/1) 24 days ago. Can give his running back on all-weather. Three of his four career wins have been here, the latest at this trip off this very mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (3/1 +0%) Appier |
3/1(+0%) | (4) Appier 3/1, Did well under circumstances when winning 8-runner handicap (16/5) at this C&D (AW) 9 days ago by nose from Way of Life, giving away several lengths at the start. Respected despite his habit of starting slowly. Did well to beat Way Of Life here last week after losing many lengths at the start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (350/1 -6900%) Sonnerie Power |
350/1(-6900%) | (6) Sonnerie Power 350/1, C&D winner. Not seen to best effect when seventh of 9 in handicap at Doncaster (11.9f, good, 40/1) 10 days ago, left poorly placed in a steadily-run race. Has dropped below his last winning mark, but will need things to drop right. 0-7 since leaving Roger Varian but was close up in April on final AW start (1m3f). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (300/1 -4515%) Isle Of Sark |
300/1(-4515%) | (5) Isle Of Sark 300/1, Hasn't won since his debut but has been proving consistent this year, 3¼ lengths fourth of 8 to Appier in handicap (4/1) at this C&D (AW) 9 days ago. Could be thereabouts once more. Couldn't raise his game here 9 days ago to trouble the principals Appier and Way Of Life. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (350/1 -6264%) Composite |
350/1(-6264%) | (2) Composite 350/1, Looked a useful prospect when winning at Kempton in January. Well below form when seventh of 8 in handicap at Newmarket (12f, good, 5/1) 24 days ago, but no surprise to see him bounce back returned to all-weather. Dual AW winner; latest Newmarket effort was too bad to be true. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (200/1 -4900%) Way Of Life |
200/1(-4900%) | (1) Way Of Life 200/1, C&D winner. It's been a while since his last success, but quickly bounced back to form when nose second of 8 to Appier in handicap (5/1) at this C&D (AW) 9 days ago. That was his fifth placed effort of the year and he's a major player. Nosed out by Appier here last week but he did get the run of things. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (100/1 -733%) No Surrender |
100/1(-733%) | (3) No Surrender 100/1, Winner at Leicester last year. However, has finished well held both starts this season, seventh of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (12.4f, 33/1) 29 days ago. Blinkers now reached for. Form figures of 312 last season but this campaign has been poor; now in blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (450/1 -1945%) Pour Me A Drink |
450/1(-1945%) | (8) Pour Me A Drink 450/1, Had a lengthy absence prior to his 2023 return and little impact since, fifth of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (12.2f, 20/1) in February. Others preferred after 3 months off (has had a wind op). Potentially on a good mark and returns from wind surgery, but risky enough. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
APPIER has a bad habit of missing the break. He did so again over track and trip last time but still managed to run down Way Of Life in the closing stages to notch up his fifth win on the all-weather. Sean Woods' charge looks worth sticking with given he also had Isle Of Sark back in fourth. Composite struggled in better company than this at Newmarket last month but much better is expected back on this surface, having scored at Kempton at the start of the year.
WAY OF LIFE wasted no time leaving behind a rare below-par effort when only narrowly denied at this C&D 9 days ago, so he is taken to get his head back in front after his number of placed efforts since last summer. He can reverse the narrow margin with Appier from last time, with Composite completing the shortlist back on all-weather.
All things considered, APPIER did well to collect here nine days ago and he should confirm those placings with Way Of Life.

Hard-puller who tries sprinting for the first time. Tailed off at Doncaster last twice and he's untried at sprint trips; plenty to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (3) (22/1 -175%) B Associates |
22/1(-175%) | (3) B Associates 22/1, C&D winner. 40/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at Musselburgh (7.1f, good) 9 days ago. Dropped to a handy mark and this is a drop in class but need to see more spark before seriously considering him. On reduced mark but he's lost his way and needs a major revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (9/2 -64%) Belsito |
9/2(-64%) | (1) Belsito 9/2, Novice winner final 2-y-o start. Drew a black last year but down in the weights and much more like it when ½-length third of 10 to Warminster in handicap at Ayr (6f, good to firm) 19 days ago. Shortlist material. Went close off reduced mark behind Warminster at Ayr last month; key player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (5/4 +64%) Rainbow Rain |
5/4(+64%) | (7) Rainbow Rain 5/4, C&D winner. Creditable third of 10 in handicap at Thirsk (5f, good to firm, 11/2) 3 days ago. Visor back on. Not taken lightly. Went close off this mark at Thirsk on Friday and he's respected back up in trip. |

4th (11) (100/1 -100%) Grand Style |
100/1(-100%) | (11) Grand Style 100/1, Has shown precious little in Britain, 100/1 when ninth of 11 in handicap at Catterick (7f, soft) 18 days ago. Ten-race maiden who has struggled in her six runs in Britain; no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (33/1 -267%) Thaki |
33/1(-267%) | (5) Thaki 33/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. Seventh of 8 in handicap (11/1) at Ayr (6f, good) 42 days ago, looking temperamental in the process. Last win was off 6lb higher at Ayr but he was beaten 9l there last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (100/1 -2122%) Warminster |
100/1(-2122%) | (8) Warminster 100/1, Latest win at Ayr in May. 9/2, respectable third of 8 in handicap at Wetherby (5.5f, good to firm) 7 days ago. In-form 4yo who is well drawn to attack and he should make another bold bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (50/1 -213%) Polam Lane |
50/1(-213%) | (9) Polam Lane 50/1, C&D winner. Eleventh of 14 in handicap at Redcar (6f, soft, 16/1) 13 days ago. Lot to prove atr present. Missed last year and he's struggled in both runs this season; questions to answer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (100/1 -1011%) Ignac Lamar |
100/1(-1011%) | (4) Ignac Lamar 100/1, Latest win at Southwell in February. 9/1, fourth of 7 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) 36 days ago, slowly away. Others more persuasive given propensity to miss the break. Triple AW winner but he's 0-10 on turf and was well held at Hamilton last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (100/1 -900%) See My Baby Jive |
100/1(-900%) | (10) See My Baby Jive 100/1, Respectable sixth of 11 in handicap (14/1) at Hamilton (6f, good) 24 days ago, left with lot to do. Blinkers back on. On dangerous mark but she needs to step and ideally wants rain to arrive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (100/1 -614%) Sidney's Son |
100/1(-614%) | (2) Sidney's Son 100/1, C&D winner. 14/1, last of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 42 days ago. Down in trip returned to turf. Won C&D novice last summer but he's struggled back in handicaps since; down the list. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Although unable to follow up his victory at Ayr in late May when third at Wetherby 12 days later, WARMINSTER was far from disgraced on that occasion. Katie Scott's gelding will appreciate this return to 6f and compensation could await. The biggest threat is likely to emerge from Rainbow Rain, who posted a close-up third at Thirsk recently, while an improved bid from three-time course winner B Associates wouldn't surprise on his return to this venue off a declining mark.
Having dropped in the weights, BELSITO produced his best effort for some time when third at Ayr 3 weeks ago, likely to have finished even closer with a clear run. From the same mark, he makes plenty of appeal, with Rainbow Rain and Warminster (winner of that aforementioned Ayr race) a couple of potential threats.
Most of these have something to prove but BELSITO went close at Ayr last time and he gets the vote ahead of Rainbow Rain.

13/2(-8%) | (4) Delta Legend 13/2, C&D winner. 6/1, below-par sixth of 9 in handicap at Kempton (8f) 110 days ago on his final run for Jane Chapple-Hyam. Needs to bounce back for his new handler. C&D winner but makes stable debut after 110 days off and likely best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (2/1 -33%) Swatch |
2/1(-33%) | (2) Swatch 2/1, Latest win at Bath in April. 9/4, good third of 9 in handicap at Beverley (7.4f, good) 35 days ago. This course winner has to be taken seriously off an unchanged mark (form been franked). Won his maiden at this track and returns after two solid efforts on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (150/1 -838%) The Colorist |
150/1(-838%) | (7) The Colorist 150/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Ninth of 12 in minor event (200/1) at Kempton (8f) 103 days ago. More is needed on his handicap debut. Comfortably held in his three qualifying races and goes handicapping with much to prove. |

10th (6) (28/1 -250%) Rabinal |
28/1(-250%) | (6) Rabinal 28/1, Course winner. Latest win here in March. 18/1, seventh of 9 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good) 20 days ago. Dangerous if scaling a revival. Dual course winner but uncompetitive in his last four starts (twice here). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
SWATCH arrives in good form having scored at Bath before finishing third at Beverley. He'd have finish closer to the first two home with a clear run, and the runner-up has subsequently franked the form. Delta Legend also won on his penultimate start when successful over track and trip, and can figure for his new trainer, while Another Thought drops in class and may well finish closer as a consequence.
SWATCH signalled he's ready to strike again when a good recent Beverley third (form been franked) so gets the verdict in a competitive handicap. In-form pair We'renotreallyhere (second choice) and Purple Poppy appeal as most likely to trouble Alice Haynes' C&D scorer, while Luanera is another weighted to have a say if back on song.
The one with the least to prove is SWATCH who has been on the ball of late on turf and he won his maiden at this track

11/8(+59%) | (4) Minstrel Knight 11/8, Progressed again when second of 10 in handicap at Pontefract (10f, good to soft, 4/1) 17 days ago, despite having not been ideally placed. Could be ready to get off the mark as he goes further up in trip. Finished well when runner-up at Pontefract and he looks interesting at this new trip. |

2nd (5) (4/1 +0%) Warmonger |
4/1(+0%) | (5) Warmonger 4/1, After 6 months off (gelded), wasn't able to improve as expected when fourth of 5 in handicap at Salisbury (12f, heavy, 7/4) 25 days ago. Failed to land the odds (4/5) when second of 3 in handicap at Redcar (10f, soft) 39 days ago, but no surprise to see him bounce back with cheekpieces on 1st time. Won at Newcastle in March and runner-up in both runs since; respected with headgear added. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
It will be interesting to see if Warmonger's supporters return after an inauspicious start to life in handicaps when a well-beaten fourth on soft ground at Salisbury last month. The Camelot gelding may prove a different proposition on this sounder surface and he cannot be written off. However, MINSTREL KNIGHT rates a more solid proposition having finished second at Pontefract last time out and a similar performance may prove sufficient, while the returning Mister Daydream shouldn't be far away if resuming in the same form.
MINSTREL KNIGHT has shown improved form sent handicapping on his last 2 starts, despite having been caught further back than ideal when second at Pontefract 17 days ago, so he is taken to go one better this time around. The main danger could be Chiefman, who is worth another chance with cheekpieces applied, ahead of Warmonger.
This looks a bit trappy but recent Pontefract runner-up MINSTREL KNIGHT gets the vote ahead of Chiefman and Warmonger.

1st (6) (5/2 +88%) Beautiful Crown |
5/2(+88%) | (6) Beautiful Crown 5/2, Course winner. Twenty-one runs since last win in 2021. 28/1, last of 12 in handicap at this C&D (AW) when last seen 8 months ago. First run for yard after leaving Brett Johnson. Strike-rate of 2-32 and on a losing run of 21; slow starts have become an unwanted habit. |

2nd (1) (9/2 +10%) Landlordtothestars |
9/2(+10%) | (1) Landlordtothestars 9/2, Won twice over the winter but no longer looks progressive, tailed-off ninth of 13 in handicap (12/1) at Newbury (8f, good) 24 days ago. Is a reliable conveyance on all-weather so can bounce back. Two AW wins at around 1m during the winter and ran okay afterwards in defeat. |

3rd (7) (33/1 -371%) Roscioli |
33/1(-371%) | (7) Roscioli 33/1, Latest win at Chelmsford City in February. Shaped better than the distance beaten suggested when tenth of 14 in handicap at Windsor (10f, heavy, 17/2) 5 weeks ago. Cheekpieces reapplied and drops back in trip. Off the same mark as for his AW success in February so there's a big run in him. |

4th (9) (7/1 -17%) Hul Ah Bah Loo |
7/1(-17%) | (9) Hul Ah Bah Loo 7/1, C&D winner. Wasn't seen to best effect having a rare outing on turf when seventh of 14 in handicap (13/2) at Brighton (7f, good to soft) 32 days ago. Will benefit from return to 1m+ and isn't one to write off from such a tempting mark. Both wins have come over C&D but he's 2-35 and doesn't return to this track in great form. |

5th (8) (80/1 -400%) Mykonos St John |
80/1(-400%) | (8) Mykonos St John 80/1, C&D winner. Thirty runs since last win in 2022. 12/1, produced a laboured display when fifth of 11 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, soft) 19 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Has work to do. On a losing run and nearer last than first in his last six appearances. |

6th (2) (100/1 -5614%) Roger Henry |
100/1(-5614%) | (2) Roger Henry 100/1, Had cheekpieces on and got back on the up switched to a handicap despite seeming to find the trip barely adequate when winning 10-runner event at Chelmsford (7f) just under 7 weeks ago. Sold from Jamie Osborne 14,500 gns after and he's respected. Signed off for Jamie Osborne with a win and his daughter Saffie keeps the ride here. |

7th (5) (400/1 -5614%) Nasim |
400/1(-5614%) | (5) Nasim 400/1, C&D winner. Seventeen runs since last win in 2023. 22/1, probably remained in form when seventh of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f) 18 days ago. Non-stayer at 1m2f latest; easy to make a case off this mark returned to his best trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (200/1 -2977%) Covert Mission |
200/1(-2977%) | (4) Covert Mission 200/1, C&D winner. Failed to give running back on turf when ninth of 12 in handicap at Bath (8f, good to soft, 7/1) 52 days ago, slowly away. Others look more solid. Has become in and out but likes Lingfield and dangerous to leave out of calculations. |

9th (3) (350/1 -2400%) Violets Star |
350/1(-2400%) | (3) Violets Star 350/1, Again finished well held when last of 5 in handicap (10/1) at this course (6f, AW) 39 days ago, no extra approaching final 1f. First run for yard after leaving Adam West. Won a weak maiden last year but has offered precious little in three handicaps (5f/6f). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
There was plenty to like about ROGER HENRY's opening victory at Chelmsford in April and he's taken to supplement that success now under the tutelage of Gay Kelleway. A 2lb higher rating looks on the lenient side for the four-year-old and he may get the better of chief rival Nasim. The Galileo Gold gelding will appreciate this return to class 6 company and he isn't taken lightly, while five-time all-weather scorer Covert Mission is likely to fare better reverting to this surface.
A few in with a squeak but ROGER HENRY made the perfect start to life in handicaps at Chelmsford in April, and with this step back up in trip sure to suit, Gay Kelleway's new recruit can follow up at the expense of Hul Ah Bah Loo, who was a dual C&D winner last year and isn't one to write off from such a tempting mark. Landlordtothestars can occupy third spot.
It might pay to chance LANDLORDTOTHESTARS who has been fairly reliable in 1m AW handicaps this year.

100/1(-300%) | (7) Realise The Dream 100/1, Once-raced maiden. 33/1, eighth of 12 in maiden at Doncaster (6.5f, good to firm) on debut 9 days ago. May come on for that experience. Ran green after a slow start and was always in rear at Doncaster last Saturday. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
EXPENSIVE ROSE displayed plenty of promise when filling second place on her debut at Pontefract last month and the daughter of Australia could be hard to beat with the benefit of that experience. Li Ban took a step forward when a close fourth on her second start and she could go well once again, while Alla Stella has to be noted on her debut being closely related to the Group 2 winner Shine So Bright.
EXPENSIVE ROSE arrives on the back of a positive start when runner-up at Pontefract and she can put that experience to good use as she bids to open her account. Alla Stella and Modern Utopia both make plenty of appeal on pedigree, so they can give the selection plenty to think about if sufficiently clued up.
This can go to EXPENSIVE ROSE (nap), who sets the standard on her second at Pontefract and is open to progress over this longer trip.

There was enough encouragement to be taken from EARLY RELEASE's debut fifth at Doncaster last month to suggest that a race of this nature could be within his compass. That experience should stand the gelded son of Sergei Prokofiev in good stead and a breakthrough victory could be on the horizon. The biggest threat may emerge from fellow downgraded rival Ellomate, who will appreciate a return to the all-weather, while any market support for newcomer Twilight Ballet must be noted.
EARLY RELEASE offered something to work on when fifth on debut at Doncaster last month, and with improvement on the cards, he can get off the mark at the second time of asking. Twilight Ballet is a newcomer who ticks plenty of boxes on paper, so he may emerge as the main danger, with Ellomate taken to edge out debutante Nala Star for the bronze medal.
Cable Rate and Ellomate are respected but EARLY RELEASE showed enough at Doncaster to edge the vote.

100/1(-300%) | (11) Storm Master 100/1, Not seen since finishing last of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton in May 2023. Can only be watched from 3 lb out of the weights. Has plenty to prove after 405 days off and he's out of the weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
JKR COBBLER made a winning return over C&D late last month and the third from that contest has won subsequently. With that in mind, Iain Jardine's gelding merits the utmost respect off just a 2lb higher mark here. The consistent Wreck It Ryley is likely to be in the mix once again, while Concert Boy and Showtime Mahomes are others to note.
The way in which JKR COBBLER travelled for a long way when scoring on his recent C&D reappearance suggests he can cope with another 2 lb nudge from the handicapper and enhance his good strike-rate in the last 12 months. Wreck It Ryley has held his form well this year and can place again, while Showtime Mahomes could also have a say having dipped to a mark in the 60s for the first time in his career.
Top of the list is WRECK IT RYLEY, who has done well for a new yard this season. Recent C&D winner Jkr Cobbler is feared most.

The tentative selection is DUE TO HENRY, who didn't do himself any favours when slowly away on debut at Chepstow but kept on well for fifth late in the piece. With the promise of more to come, the son of Due Diligence is preferred to Toromoro, and Bella Taslina, who has strong claims on her debut second at Newbury in April.
Having shaped promisingly on debut, BELLA TASLINA wasn't seen to best effect when fourth at Kempton last month, so she could be ready to get off the mark this time around. Zariela isn't one to be written off based on the pick of last season's form, while Due To Henry could take a step forward from his debut effort.
Marginal preference is for BELLA TASLINA, for all that her best piece of form hasn't worked out too well.

Should improve. Surprise winner of a Ballinrobe maiden hurdle on debut; entitled to improve for that. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LE COQ HARDI appreciated better ground when getting off the mark on his second start over hurdles at Down Royal on the first day of the new season. The Youmzain gelding had been off over five months so is entitled to come again for that run and his staying-on third in a point-to-point suggests that stepping up half a mile in trip should play to his strengths. Golden Temple was a facile winner of a Downpatrick handicap last month in reapplied headgear. He has been penalised accordingly but ground conditions will suit. Point winner Going Live has been handed a stiff-looking mark after making a winning debut under Rules at Downpatrick but his prospects are enhanced by Carl Millar's valuable claim.
GOING LIVE has work to on the bare form of his novice win at Downpatrick but this 6-figure point recruit is open to lots of progress over this of trip. He therefore gets the nod in favour of Le Coq Hardi and Golden Temple.
Going Live and LE COQ HARDI are the most interesting. The latter might have more scope for improvement stepping up from 2m.

Merits consideration. On reduced mark and he looks worth a try at this new trip; not ruled out in cheekpieces. |

WE STILL BELIEVE arrives here on the back of two seconds at Hamilton last month and this moderate event appears to be an ideal opportunity for the six-year-old to go one better. Hostelry also hit the crossbar on her most recent outing and has to be of interest off the same mark. Highwaygrey edges out Hougoumont to be best of the rest.
A tight-knit handicap in which Ruth Carr's C&D winner HOSTELRY edges the vote on the back of his good recent Pontefract second. Handily-weighted Highwaygrey heads the list of dangers, although a solid case can also be made for Hougoumont, We Still Believe and Can't Stop Now in a very open contest.
This is a tight call between HOSTELRY and We Still Believe. The vote goes to Ruth Carr's mare.

Won on stable debut in March but has a point to prove after two below-par runs last month. |

150/1(-2043%) | (5) Freetodream 150/1, Made it back-to-back wins when scoring at Chelmsford City in April, but run of good form halted when eighth of 10 in handicap at Newmarket (7f, good, 13/2) 24 days ago. Bounce back called for with blinkers applied. Didn't fire last time but was in good form beforehand; further progress remains possible. |

7th (7) (400/1 -3233%) Top Of The Class |
400/1(-3233%) | (7) Top Of The Class 400/1, After 6 weeks off, backed up her previous effort when third of 11 in handicap (8/1) at Southwell (7.1f) in January. However, more required after another break as she looks for her first victory. Placed on last two AW starts but has fitness to prove, and her turf record is unconvincing. |

Has something to prove at present. Down the field on both starts for new stable this year; has much more to prove than some. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
This can go the way of AMATHUS, who struck in this contest last year off 2lb lower and warmed up for his defence with a highly creditable runner-up effort over track and trip recently. Local Music has been in fine form of late over further and may be suited by the drop in trip, while Embarked arrives on the back of arguably a career-best effort when second at Newmarket last month. Bell Shot and Top Of The Class are capable of being in the shake-up as well.
Successful on all-weather here in March, BELL SHOT went off harder than ideal at Yarmouth on his latest outing, so he is well worth another chance as he drops back down in grade. He can see off the challenge of Embarked, who bumped into a thriving sort at Newmarket last time, with Dion Baker also considered.
James Fanshawe's EMBARKED (nap) lost out only to a progressive filly at Newmarket on his latest outing and can go one better.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Successful around a similar circuit at Ballinrobe on chasing debut, MAGNOR GLORY may be best equipped for this test of speed. Terence O'Brien's useful handicap hurdler was returning from 10 months off when victorious at the Mayo venue and ground conditions should be ideal for the eight-year-old. Horantzau D'airy is rated just a couple of pounds inferior to the selection over hurdles and had Je T'ai Porte back in third when winning on chase debut at Leopardstown. The ground was again testing when he followed up over 2m4f at Clonmel but he has form on a sound surface. Dreal Deal was beaten in a Cartmel handicap last time but had impressed over this trip at Wexford on his previous start.
HORANTZAU D'AIRY arrives on the back of a career-best Clonmel victory so looks the way to go here. Ballinrobe winner Magnor Glory should ensure Willie Mullins' 7-y-o doesn't have things all his own way though while both Dreal Deal and Je T'Ai Porte must enter calculations too.
Winner of his first two races over fences, HORANTZAU D'AIRY will be hard to beat if handling this ground effectively

18/1(-414%) | (4) Betweenthesticks 18/1, Seventeen runs since last win in 2022. Respectable second of 10 in handicap at Ripon (5f, good to firm, 11/4) 5 days ago. Visor back on. Merits consideration from his handy mark. Ran big race in defeat at Ripon on Wednesday and gets another chance off the same mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Inspired Knowhow failed to figure off this mark at Nottingham last time, having caught RECON MISSION in the final strides over C&D before that. The latter reopposes on better terms on this occasion, and Tony Carroll's charge can exact his revenge. Ripon runner-up Betweenthesticks is creeping closer to ending a barren spell, while On Edge has a shout back at this lower level.
SAFARI DREAM was disappointing at Goodwood last time but that was a much deeper handicap than this, and with cheekpieces off, he's fancied to bounce back in style. Betweenthesticks and On Edge head the opposition.
The opener can go to BETWEENTHESTICKS, who makes a quick reappearance after a good effort at Ripon on Wednesday.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Gordon Elliott can win yet another National, with HURRICANE GEORGIE fancied to defy top-weight under the excellent Carl Millar. Successful at Limerick on her most recent start, the former Midlands National winner can race off her lowest mark in two years, once taking her jockeys 7lb claim into account. A proven stayer, who enjoys going right-handed, the mare has plenty in her favour. Gold Bullion is a lightly-raced chaser who is open to further progression over fences this season and his trainer Henry De Bromhead has been amongst the winners of late. Hascoeur Clermont shaped better when fifth at Killarney last time, so also has to be respected for Gavin Cromwell.
This looks wide open but SPHAGNUM rates the pick of the weights on his promising Limerick return so edges the vote. Goodnightngodbless is feared most on the back of his Down Royal victory with Wa Wa also firmly in the mix now back in this sphere. Hurrican Georgie, Gold Bullion and Hascoeur Clermont complete the shortlist.
Lightly-raced, GOLD BULLION can take this if making a step forward from his fine Punchestown handicap debut after a break.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
POUTING has good form in the book having missed out by only a short-head over the minimum trip here on her debut. The Blue Point filly is taken to go one better over this extra furlong. Patsy Snugfit is another to consider having ran into all sorts of trouble at Newmarket last time, while Adrestia was a 420,000-pound purchase at the breeze-ups in April, and makes most appeal of the newcomers.
Having cost plenty at the breeze-ups, POUTING found only one too good in a 5f maiden here a month ago and, sure to build on that, she looks the way to go. Patsy Snugfit was a lot better than the result at Newmarket and retains potential, with Waking Dream perhaps the pick of a good-looking bunch of newcomers.
Patsy Snugfit still has significant potential, but POUTING went very close over 5f here last month and gets the vote.

The Paul Flynn-trained RIGHTFOLKSPLEASE should be hard to beat having just been denied in a similar grade at Wexford last month. With the third horse going on to win subsequently, that form has a strong look to it. A lightly-raced son of Policy Maker, the seven-year-old holds leading claims. Glas Acres also ran very well at Wexford on his most recent start, when finishing well to take fourth late on. Collateral form gives him something to find with the selection but he could have scope for improvement after just six starts. Chosen Shant has been a consistent sort in these races of late, so the eight-year-old mare must also hold every chance for trainer Ciaran Murphy.
RIGHTFOLKSPLEASE signalled he's ready to go in for the first time when a very good recent Wexford second and gets a confident vote with that form working out well. In-form maiden Chosen Shant is next on the list ahead of Wexford fourth Glas Acres. Imadpour and Baltinglass Hill both command plenty of respect too.
The rematch of a recent Wexford contest may provide the key to this. RIGHTFOLKSPLEASE is tipped to confirm form with Chosen Shant

100/1(-733%) | (4) Show Me Show Me 100/1, 9/4, below form fifth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (5f). Off 7 months. Returns on a fair mark and is worth monitoring in the betting with cheekpieces refitted. Last four wins in the month of August; best watched on seasonal debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
DANDY DINMONT bounced back to form when a head second over 5f at Beverley last month and the five-year-old merits plenty of respect off just a 1lb higher mark here. Emperor Caradoc has also been knocking on the door of late and could prove to be the main danger, although Honour Your Dreams and Indian Sounds should not be discounted.
INDIAN SOUNDS looked right back in top form when a strong-finishing third at Thirsk last time and he's already scored here in the past, so he makes plenty of appeal provided that the pace is sound. Dandy Dinmont and Emperor Caradoc also arrive in good order and should be on the premises.
Paul Midgley has a great record in this race. Last year's winner INDIAN SOUNDS is first choice ahead of stablemate Emperor Caradoc.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
DAARKOM ended last year with a victory over 7f at Newcastle and this extra furlong shouldn't be a problem for William Haggas' colt. Savvy Exchange is also penalised after landing a three-runner affair on soft ground at Pontefract, but Midair is preferred dropping back down in distance having failed to get a clear run in a handicap at Ascot last time. Pipes And Drums is a likely improver for powerful connections.
It's fair to say MIDAIR has been expensive to follow but he was better than the result in handicap company at Ascot last time and is selected to get it right this time, There is depth to this, though, with previous-winners Daarkom and Savvy Exchange demanding respect, with T'Challa also of interest.
Midair should go well again but DAARKOM looked promising when last seen and he can defy a 7lb penalty.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Provided that he jumps more fluently than on his recent hurdling debut, the Paul Nolan-trained TYSON can get off the mark. Having his first ever run of any description, the Lord Of England gelding overcame some novicey mistakes to finish a commendable fifth of 14. With the benefit of that experience, he could be an altogether different proposition now. Halla Paroiste has shaped with promise in mid-division on both runs over flights to date. Although there is the obvious possibility that he will do better in handicaps, this doesn't look a particularly strong race for the grade. Similar comments apply to the Bill Durkan-trained Lope De Light.
TYSON gets the nod to build on a mildly encouraging debut at Cork in March and strike for the Paul Nolan team. Dakota Chief's fair Flat ability marks him down as one who could be up to making his presence felt in a race like this. Galileo Springs and Spread Your Wings are newcomers to note in the betting in a race where those with experience don't set the bar that high.
Having made a promising enough debut in a Cork maiden hurdle behind a stablemate, TYSON can improve enough take this weak maiden.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ARDEUR caught the eye when finishing fourth on her debut in a competitive event at York a couple of weeks ago and the daughter of Kameko could be hard to beat with that run now under her belt. That said, Lady Luzon has a similar profile and should not be underestimated, while any market support for Misty Sky would have to be noted.
ARDEUR made a pleasing start in what's likely to prove a hot race at York so, in these calmer waters, she's well fancied to open her account provided Misty Sky doesn't prove to be above average on debut. Lady Luzon is open to improvement but has plenty to find with the selection.
The form choice is ARDEUR, ahead of Lady Luzon.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Runner-up on his last two starts over shorter at Wolverhampton, APPROVAL sets the standard on those efforts and stepping up in trip may eke out the improvement needed to break the maiden. The well-bred Lord Of Love caught the eye when keeping on late for fourth over 1m at Newmarket and he is preferred to stablemate Enrico Caruso, who has a 7lb penalty to overcome for a comfortable success at Chelmsford last October. Others to note include Alandalusi, At Vimeiro and Niigata.
LORD OF LOVE left his previous form trailing in his wake when a keeping-on fourth at Newmarket 3 weeks ago, and with the promise of more to come over this trip, he could be the answer to an intriguing novice. St Pancras and Approval are perhaps the chief threats unless there's market support for Alandalusi on debut.
This looks a warm race but LORD OF LOVE should relish stepping up to 1m2f and he can get off the mark at the fourth attempt.

Punchestown runner-up STEPS IN THE SAND can go one better here for trainer Cian Collins. A dual winner on the all-weather on the Flat, the five-year-old showed her first worthwhile form on a grass surface when keeping on strongly for minor honours at the County Kildare venue last time. Dropping in grade here, the mare should have every chance. Listowel fourth Tipp For Mac has run well on both occasions since returning from a break and he is a horse that is best suited to decent underfoot conditions. No Big Deal ran his best race to date when seventh over hurdles at Naas in April and while failed to back that up in a subsequent run on the Flat, he could be worth another chance now.
NO BIG DEAL was a bit of an eyecatcher on his latest hurdle start and gets the nod, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Recent Punchestown second Steps In The Sand is next on the list ahead of Tipp For Mac and So Easy Way.
Twice successful on AW, STEPS IN THE SAND(nap) has a good chance of a first hurdles success following a good run at Punchestown

125/1(-213%) | (6) Ginistrelli 125/1, Untrustworthy individual. Visored for 1st time, seventh of 8 in handicap hurdle (11/1) at Stratford (18.7f, good). Off 9 months. First run for yard after leaving Milton Harris. Tongue strap back on. Similar profile to Cabrakan; the betting should be helpful. |

3rd (4) (7/1 -75%) Eleanor Cross |
7/1(-75%) | (4) Eleanor Cross 7/1, Respectable eighth of 16 in handicap (8/1) at Lingfield (12f, AW) 73 days ago. Claims if she can build on that. Largely consistent maiden; possibilities back on turf (unexposed in this sphere). |

100/1(-3900%) | (1) Charging Thunder 100/1, C&D winner. Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. Creditable third of 12 in handicap (9/1) at Newcastle (12.4f) 29 days ago, possibly helped by way race developed. Might not find the run of this race ideal. 2-2 at this venue, including a success off this mark in this race two years ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Most of these have questions to answer right now, but not ESMERAY after her success over 1m2f at Lingfield a month ago. The step back up in trip should not be a problem for Ralph Beckett's filly and a 2lb rise may not be enough to stop her in this company. Eleanor Cross failed to fire last time but is a player based on her previous efforts, while Charging Thunder completes the shortlist.
ESMERAY showed a good attitude to score at Lingfield a month ago and she has the scope for better still, so there's every chance she'll follow up at the possible expense of Charging Thunder who ran with credit at Newcastle last time. Eleanor Cross isn't fully exposed and is another one to consider.
Back at Pontefract, CHARGING THUNDER (nap) could well regain the winning thread. La Pulga is second choice.

12/1(-20%) | (5) Navello 12/1, Successful on AW in March. Second of 14 at Newmarket under William Buick next time and claims if a lesser effort here since can be forgiven. Buick returns to the saddle. On a good mark and should be staying on late if they go hard; each-way shout. |

2nd (1) (9/1 -64%) Squealer |
9/1(-64%) | (1) Squealer 9/1, Placed in Bahrain over the winter. Respectable eighth of 17 in handicap at York (5f, good, 33/1) on British return 25 days ago, never nearer. Respected for a Yorkshire stable no stranger to success here. York run last month can be upgraded; this is weaker but he's drawn out wide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (40/1 -82%) Thunder Moor |
40/1(-82%) | (2) Thunder Moor 40/1, Won twice in Bahrain in February but below par in 2 outings back in Britain, finishing fourth of 5 over C&D latterly. Struggled in two runs back in Britain after successful Bahrain campaign; opposable. |

5th (8) (7/2 +0%) Rocking Ends |
7/2(+0%) | (8) Rocking Ends 7/2, First run since leaving Brett Johnson when winning 11-runner C&D handicap (good to firm, 5/2) 21 days ago. Merits consideration. Well backed when making a winning stable debut over C&D three weeks ago; contender up 2lb. |

6th (7) (22/1 -22%) Good Earth |
22/1(-22%) | (7) Good Earth 22/1, Down the field on all 3 outings this year but he wasn't beaten that far at York last time and is starting to look well treated again. A dangerous one to discount. Improved performer last season; not fired yet in 2024 but down the weights & yard in form. |

7th (9) (200/1 -614%) Dusky Lord |
200/1(-614%) | (9) Dusky Lord 200/1, Ninth of 10 in handicap at this course (6f, good to firm, 33/1) on reappearance 28 days ago. Needs to have come on a lot. Should be well treated but he's been disappointing since joining Stuart Williams; risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (80/1 -1678%) Isle Of Lismore |
80/1(-1678%) | (3) Isle Of Lismore 80/1, C&D winner. Latest win at Ascot in May. 4/1, creditable second of 7 in handicap at Newmarket (5f, good to firm) 22 days ago. Should go well. Comes here in good form and he's ideally drawn; another bold bid on the cards. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (33/1 -843%) Antiphon |
33/1(-843%) | (10) Antiphon 33/1, C&D winner in April. Creditable fourth of 14 in Epsom Dash (5f, good to soft) 9 days ago. Others more persuasive. Good record at the track and ran well from 9lb wrong in the Dash; obvious chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (125/1 -1150%) Mountain Peak |
125/1(-1150%) | (4) Mountain Peak 125/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. 10/1, below form sixth of 12 in handicap at Epsom (5f, good) on reappearance 48 days ago. Entitled to be sharper now. On lowly mark and shaped well on his reappearance in April; could take a good step forward. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
A highly consistent sort this year, having not been outside the first three in four starts, ISLE OF LISMORE gets the vote on the rise in grade as he returns to a C&D where he has won before. Something of a revelation on his first start for a new yard last month, Rocking Ends may have more to come off a 2lb higher mark, while Antiphon arrives on the back of a highly-creditable effort in the Dash at Epsom. Navello and Squealer have the form to be involved at the finish as well.
ROCKING ENDS has only been nudged up 2 lb for his C&D success 3 weeks ago and it may not prevent him making it 2-2 for new trainer Tom Clover. Squealer was a bit of an eyecatcher at York last month and is second choice ahead of Isle of Lismore and Navello.
Rocking Ends and Isle Of Lismore are respected but ANTIPHON can confirm there was no fluke about his latest Epsom fourth.

20/1(-82%) | (5) All In Montmartre 20/1, 33/1, seventh of 8 in novice hurdle at Galway (20.7f, good to soft). Off 10 months. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Lightly raced maiden winner has not run since last August, others make more appeal. |

80/1(-400%) | (3) Champagne Platinum 80/1, Latest win in hurdle at Gowran in January. Seventh of 11 in handicap hurdle (28/1) at Cork (24.3f, heavy) 81 days ago. Others make more appeal. Heavy-ground winner at Gowran during the winter, going may be a bit lively for him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (80/1 -300%) Pipers Meadow |
80/1(-300%) | (10) Pipers Meadow 80/1, 16/1, fifth of 6 in minor event hurdle at Cork (20f, good to soft). Off 23 months. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Ran only twice in 2022, missed last year, long absence to overcome, best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (14/1 -27%) Uhtred |
14/1(-27%) | (4) Uhtred 14/1, Won 15-runner handicap hurdle at Killarney (20.2f, good to soft, 28/1) 28 days ago. One to consider. Back to form when springing a 28-1 surprise at Killarney last month, 6lb higher now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Five-time winner UNION PARK won his previous hurdle race and is nonetheless rated 13lb lower in this sphere than over fences. Ideally suited by this distance and good ground, he was brought down on his latest outing but had previously run well over fences in January and while 9lb higher than when winning over hurdles in November, today's rider claims 3lb and he is a reliable type. Kiltealy Park won easily at Wexford last month and while she is open to further progression, is 10lb higher and tackles a tougher race. Four-year-old Open To Question is already a dual hurdle winner but steps up to this distance for the first time and also meets open horses for the first time.
KILTEALY PARK improved markedly for a switch to handicaps when readily scoring at Wexford last month and a 10-lb rise might not be enough to stop her going in again. There are several in-form dangers, the most notable being Open To Question and Ring O Roses.
Runner-up in the final of the Adare Manor Series at the Punchestown festival, WEST AWAY may go one place better for the same rider

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Having looked somewhat of an unlucky loser when denied a clear run on his second-placed finish at Chester last time out, compensation could be headed in TIGERTEN's direction. Kevin Frost's charge races off the same mark, which could prove pivotal, and he's narrowly preferred over the consistent Easy Equation. The Rajsaman gelding looks to have a race in him off his current rating and another good effort can be expected. Sugarpiehoneybunch and Rory The Cat complete the shortlist.
TIGERTEN reacted well to first-time cheekpieces when a staying-on second in a much better race at Chester last time so, from a goo draw, he's an obvious choice to go one better. Sugarpiehoneybunch also arrives in form and the longer trip should be no issue, so she's regarded as the main threat.
Based on a few different factors, TIGERTEN looks the best option. Easy Equation is second choice.

12th (14) (300/1 -809%) Nina Rapida |
300/1(-809%) | (14) Nina Rapida 300/1, 3½ lengths eighth of 10 to Charles Morin in handicap at Lingfield (9f, good, 80/1) 18 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Not beaten far at Lingfield (1m1f, good) last month but still only managed 8th of 10. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Having opened his account a shade cosily on the switch to turf at Lingfield last time out, another bold bid is forecast from CHARLES MORIN. A 3lb rise for Pat Phelan's gelding looks far from insurmountable and he edges the vote over the unexposed Penalty Shootout. The son of Bungle Inthejungle posted a respectable third on his handicap bow at Nottingham in May, while City Of Delight and Lia Rose are also likely to be involved at the business end.
CITY OF DELIGHT could have more to come now stepping up to 1¼m for the first time and gets the vote. Recent Lingfield scorer Charles Morin, Oisin Murphy's mount Penalty Shootout and Glimpse The Moon, a potential improver in handicaps, are also shortlisted in an open race.
Penalty Shootout isn't yet exposed but stepping up in trip can see CITY OF DELIGHT (nap) shed his maiden tag.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MINELLA HOLLOW looked quite capable when winning a bumper 13 days ago, with the second and fourth-placed horses having both previously been placed. A half-brother to three winners, he was green at Ballinrobe but finished his race well and with improvement likely, might defy top weight. Ballyburn's half-sister Churchfield Sunset was also green when winning well on debut at Cork. She has an excellent pedigree and should also improve with racing. Dramatic License is out of a bumper-winning half-sister to Altior, carries the colours of leading owners and it is also encouraging to see him debut as a four-year-old. Bowensonfire cost 88,000 euros last year and is a half-brother to his trainer's dual winner Rainbow Trail.
CHURCHFIRLED SUNSET looked a good prospect when readily justiifying short odds in a Cork bumper a month ago and she's capable of defying a penalty with more to come. Minella Hollow, another impressive debut winner, looks the main threat, although Bowensonfire appeals as an interesting newcomer for a top yard.
The two most interesting are the debut winners CHURCHFIELD SUNSET and Minella Hollow, with marginal preference for the filly.

Although a dual winner over hurdles, Freddy Robinson has yet to convince with his stamina over this far on the level. Brian Ellison's gelding would likely to play a leading role in the finish if seeing the 1m2f distance out, but VISITANT rates a more solid proposition. The veteran posted a respectable third at Newcastle last month and he certainly won't be lacking in the staying department at the finish. Tiberio Force also warrants a second look in his current form.
Brian Ellison's FREDDY ROBINSON should take a step forward from his promising Nottingham reappearance fourth and can capitalise on a 1 lb lower mark here. C&D winner Masque 0f Anarchy is next on the list ahead of in-form duo Tiberio Force and Tasever.
A chance is taken on TASEVER, who remains a maiden but is unexposed beyond 1m. Bay Dream Believer is second choice.

10th (1) (300/1 -2043%) Carbis Bay |
300/1(-2043%) | (1) Carbis Bay 300/1, First run since leaving Marco Botti when tenth of 13 in C&D handicap (good to firm) 21 days ago. Tongue strap back on. Never featured over C&D on last month's stable debut; down in class but others appeal more. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
NAASMA found only a fellow progressive rival too strong when runner-up at Newbury last month. The daughter of Churchill is 1lb higher in this contest and she ticks plenty of the right boxes now returned to the C&D of her latest victory. D Day Arvalenreeva resumed her good form with a close-up second at Leicester in May and the four-year-old is feared most, ahead of Major Major.
William Buick steps in for the ride on D DAY ARVALENREEVA, who can gain compensation for her near miss on reappearance. Naasma has already tasted C&D success this season and heads the dangers along with Major Major, another with a C&D win to his name, and Mrembo.
There was plenty of encouragement from REBEL ANGEL at Chepstow ten days ago and she can prove too strong for the progressive Naasma.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MILBANKE found the 5f on his reappearance here on the sharp side and this dual 6f winner should travel much sweeter now faced with a stiffer test. A second course victory could be on the cards for Julie Camacho's inmate, possibly at the main expense of Catton Lady. A 1lb drop in the ratings for the three-year-old's latest third over a mile at Redcar looks generous, although she would make more appeal over further. Travis is also noted.
Julie Camacho's C&D scorer MILBANKE teed himself up well for this when fourth here on his return and can build on it to resume winning ways. Catton Lady appeals as the main danger on the back of her good recent Redcar third, although King of Tonga is weighted to have a big say too.
Off a handy mark back at Pontefract, BRAVEHEART BOY could well record a first handicap win. Milbanke is second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.
