14:00 Worcester Handicap Chase (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A runner-up at Bangor last time, LIMETREE BOY is taken to go one better with this extra distance expected to bring about some improvement. Arctic Ambition has slid down the handicap and posted a better effort at Cartmel 10 days ago, while Blazing Court placed over C&D on his chasing bow and there should be more to come from him. Chemical Warfare won over hurdles at Market Rasen but is 10lb higher back over the larger obstacles.

CHEMICAL WARFARE is going the right way for his present yard, taking advantage of his lower hurdles mark in good style at Market Rasen, and remains of strong interest back over fences. Limetree Boy should be suited by a return to this trip and can make his presence felt again, while Blazing Court made a positive start over fences when third over C&D last month.

David Pipe's CHEMICAL WARFARE looked set to go close before his late fall over C&D last month, and has won over hurdles since.

14:35 Worcester Handicap Chase (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PILOT SHOW returned to winning ways at Warwick and another bold bid looks likely with a 5lb rise negated by his conditional jockey's allowance. My Gift To You wasn't at his best in a higher grade last time but was running well before that and he can get involved, while Langley Hundred is another to consider based on a couple of good efforts at Newton Abbot last month. Jessie Lightfoot makes most appeal of the rest.

Cases can be made for several, but it could be worth taking a chance on JUDGE EARLE, who has shown little so far this season but is now 2 lb lower than when winning at this course last summer. Pilot Show finally added to his chasing debut success at Warwick just under 6 weeks ago so he can provide most resistance to the selection, with My Gift To You and Langley Hundred another couple fancied to be in the mix.

The pick is JESSIE LIGHTFOOT (nap), who did well for her new stable this spring and held her own in a higher-grade C&D race last time.

15:10 Worcester Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Willie Mullins sends FINE MARGIN over from Ireland and he will likely prove to be the one to beat. The seven-year-old won a maiden hurdle in good style at Fontwell in May and can defy a penalty. Bob Bob Ricard has been winning over fences of late and may give the selection something to think about if translating that improved form back to the smaller obstacles, while Sheer Joy has placed in an Irish point-to-point and debuts under Rules having joined Alastair Ralph's yard.

FINE MARGIN got off the mark in straightforward fashion at Fontwell last time and he's the one to beat as he makes only his fifth start for Willie Mullins. The biggest threat could be Bob Bob Ricard, who returns to hurdling having won both starts over fences this season, with Sheer Joy the pick of the remainder.

Bob Bob Ricard needs respecting but FINE MARGIN should take a bit of beating under his penalty.

15:45 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The wet summer has ensured there has been enough juice underfoot for BETHPAGE to register a hat-trick of good-ground victories over a variety of trips. The mare's admirable versatility on that score earns her the vote, despite a 9lb rise for the latest of those comfortable successes. Lallygag had the race at his mercy when he ran out at Newton Abbot last time and is noted with first-time cheekpieces added. Uggy Uggy Uggy is also noteworthy returned to a longer trip.

MR FREEDOM is just 1 lb higher than his last winning mark and looked better than ever on the Flat recently, so he's worth taking a chance on. The four-timer-seeking Bethpage is an obvious threat and Lallygag should be on the premises.

A wide-open handicap with Bethpage feared most but UGGY UGGY UGGY remains with potential off this mark back up in trip.

16:20 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Mattie Ross jumped well en route to winning over this distance at Market Rasen last month and appeals despite a 6lb higher mark. While the runner-up in that race, Moro Rock, has a reasonable chance of reversing the form. However, slender preference is for FAHA BELLE, whose two recent second-placed finishes read well in the context of this race. Off just 2lb higher than the most recent of those occasions, she can finally go one better. Astroman and Valentine Getaway also warrant consideration.

FAHA BELLE gets the nod on the back of a pair of runner-up efforts this season. James Owen has booked Harry Cobden for Grove Road who could be a big threat if building on his stable debut fourth. Recent Market Rasen 1-2 Mattie Ross and Moro Rock also make the shortlist.

The suggestion is GROVE ROAD, who seemed to have turned a corner when a close fourth on his recent stable debut.

16:50 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Chatty Chich has proved a different proposition since switching to handicap company and she successfully completed a double at Fakenham last time, but this requires more off 5lb higher. With that in mind, the vote goes to ASCENSION DAY, who finished just under four lengths clear of the third when runner-up over 2m here last month. The step back up in trip looks a good move. The seven-year-old can get his career up and running, while last-time-out winner Mactavish is another to watch out for.

While dropping back in trip may not be entirely ideal for CHATTY CHICH, she may well get away with it on this galloping track, with her recent successes at around 3m gained on sharper courses. She is certainly progressive and a 5 lb rise for her latest victory looks manageable. Ascension Day is second choice, while A Tickatickatiming, Emanate, recent C&D winner Mactavish and Robber's Bridge all appealing as live each-way candidates.

After going close over 2m in his first two handicaps, ASCENSION DAY can make his breakthrough over today's longer trip.

17:25 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RYDER'S ROCK caught the eye when she got up for third over an extended 2m at Stratford on her latest outing and she goes off an unchanged mark. Joe Tizzard's mare sports first-time cheekpieces, which could eke out the improvement required to score. The main danger is Quick Of The Night, who produced a much better effort to finish third over track and trip last time, while Aviewofthestars is another to note.

It will be worth noting if VITANI is strong in the market, having dropped 4 lb in the weights since her latest start, which was in a Grade 3 Cheltenham handicap. She could be seen in an altogether different light now dropped in class on what will be just her third start for the Skelton yard. Karannelle has also edged down the weights and is one of several dangers, along with Pump It Up and Dreaming Diamond.

The most interesting one is VITANI, who will find this race much easier than the two valuable handicaps she contested in the spring.
