The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
In The Trenches is the standout name here, but is difficult to fancy with any great confidence. Placed on his last six starts and well beaten into second at Downpatrick on Monday, he is tried in cheekpieces for the first time now and they may have the desired effect. For a selection, it might be worth taking a chance on POLLY POPPINS. Out of likeable six-time winner Dyrick Daybreak, she ran a fine race to finish fifth on debut over the course and distance earlier this month. Entitled to come on plenty from that experience, the Pour Moi bay could get a lot closer now. Fourth and fifth at Tramore recently, South Of Killerig and Scotcantou both look to have solid claims, while point-to-point winner To The Wire and Tom Gibney's Hutton Glen are other leading hopes.
IN THE TRENCHES is yet to get his head in front but continues to do little wrong, bumping into a useful prospect at Downpatrick on Monday, and he has to be the call now fitted with cheekpieces. South of Killerig is feared most ahead of Struck by Churchil.
Placed on his last six starts, including when well beaten at Downpatrick on Monday, IN THE TRENCHES is given another chance

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
No less than four of these have already won at Wexford this summer, with JOHNNY CLARKE registering his C&D success last month. On what was just his third try in handicap company, the progressive Liam Burke-trained seven-year-old showed a likable attitude and is open to further improvement. Carrying a 7lb winner's penalty after his success at Downpatrick on Monday, Mr Sundancer will be fancied to follow up, with Paddy Hanlon again on board. Successful here in May, it'll come as no surprise if Toon Town manages to go in again, while the same can be said for Kate Ill Know. Out of the prolific Jennies Jewel, Tommies Call is an interesting handicap debutant in the the line-up, while Inthenickoftime and Onebrightbluerose are others for the shortlist.
MR SUNDANCER took a marked step forward to score readily at Downpatrick 4 days ago and is worth a chance to defy a penalty despite the quick turnaround. Fellow last-time-out winners Johnny Clarke and Toon Town are dangers in a good race for the grade.
Take your pick from several C&D winners and JOHNNY CLARKE, successful here last month, gets the nod ahead of Toon Town

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
If getting a run, first reserve Chutzpal will be hard to beat carrying a 7lb winner's penalty. A facile winner when justifying strong market confidence at Bellewstown on Wednesday, he is set for a hefty hike in the ratings. For a selection, it might be worth taking a chance on DUKE SILVER. A beaten favourite on debut at Fairyhouse in February, he ran his best race to date when fifth at Roscommon earlier this month. A half-brother to smart stable companion San Salvador, the Order Of St George four-year-old starts off in handicap company now and could prove to be well treated off a mark of 95. Bayou Belle, Fox Leicester, Dream Once More and Inchiquin Maid have all been placed at Bettyville this summer, with the latter beaten by just half a length on her latest start. Returning from a lengthy absence, Mr MacPhisto is another capable of making his presence felt.
Lots with chances but Joseph O'Brien's DUKE SILVER appeals as a likely improver now stepping into handicap company so edges the vote. Bayou Belle could emerge as the main danger on the back of her good recent second here, although Dream Once More and Mr Macphisto can also have a say. Get Down To It completes the shortlist.
We won't stray beyond the obvious here and BAYOU BELLE, narrowly beaten over C&D on her last two starts, is taken to gain a deserved win

9th (8) (9/2 +0%) Cruisin Susan |
9/2(+0%) | (8) Cruisin Susan 9/2, Course winner who bids for a hat-trick after recent successes at Wexford and Tramore (20.4f, good). Scored cosily on latter occasion so she merits serious consideration despite taking a 6 lb rise. Local mare on a roll after 3m win here and 2m4f success at Tramore; stays in same grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (1) (6/1 -71%) Bobbi Gin Tree |
6/1(-71%) | (1) Bobbi Gin Tree 6/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable fourth of 12 in handicap hurdle at this course (16.7f, good to soft, 11/2) 21 days ago. Can give a good account. Second in Sligo maiden and fourth here on handicap debut; now steps up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

22/1(-83%) | (3) Sammy Smart 22/1, 8/1, tenth of 14 in handicap hurdle at this C&D (good to soft) 21 days ago. Others more persuasive. Good run over 2m6f at Limerick in May but dismal C&D effort earlier this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (16) (16/1 -33%) Jeronimo De L'ouch |
16/1(-33%) | (16) Jeronimo De L'ouch 16/1, Eleventh of 15 in novice chase at Tramore (21.8f, good to soft, 40/1) on debut over fences 91 days ago. Switches from chase to hurdles. RESERVE. Only 15-2 when pulled on handicap debut after being placed in a maiden; reserve. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
CRUISIN SUSAN is in the form of her life at present and might be able to complete the hat-trick for local connections. Successful on her most recent visit to the venue earlier this month, she followed up at Tramore less than a week later. Regular pilot John Berry again takes the ride on the Walk In The Park bay and he claims a valuable 7lb. Iridescent is also trained nearby and returning from nearly a year out, it'll be interesting to see how he fares. Successful three times last season, he'll be bidding to exploit a much lower mark over flights. A runner-up on recent starts and stepping up in trip now, it'll come as no surprise if The Striker Dylan manages to make the breakthrough. Top-weight Bobbi Gin Tree and course winner Junot are others to consider.
CRUISIN SUSAN arrives at the top of her game and a 6 lb rise for her stylish Tramore victory might not prove sufficient to prevent her from completing a quick hat-trick. The Striker Dylan is feared most on the back of his good Cork second, although the unexposed Bobbi Gin Tree and handily-weighted Intersky Sunset also need considering.
The hat-trick seeker Cruisin Susan is feared but bTHE STRIKER DYLAN\p has done little wrong lately and stepping up in trip should suit

WORLD OF FORTUNES led home the classy Familiar Dreams when she impressively claimed a bumper here last summer. Since down the field in a Listed contest at Cheltenham, the Liam Kenny trained chestnut starts off over flights now and it'll be interesting to see how she fares. Like half the field, Ma Bess is another hurdling debutant in the line-up. Deservedly making the breakthrough on her sixth track start here earlier this month, it'll come as no surprise if she manages to follow up. Workinonadream has some valuable experience over flights to her name and fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, she is likely to go close. Pulled up when easy to back on debut, Cool Park still warrants the utmost respect coming from the Willie Mullins yard, while Rose Boum is another for the shortlist.
The greater emphasis on stamina should suit Philip Rothwell's WORKINONADREAM who can make it third time lucky over hurdles. Course bumper winner World of Fortunes appeals as one who should be up to making her mark in maiden hurdles and is feared most. The Willie Mullins-trained Cool Park needs keeping a close eye on in the betting on her first outing since pulling up in the course bumper won by World of Fortunes.
The fact that MA BESS won a point sways the decision in her favour even though she won a 2m bumper here last time.

SIghts lowered for this chase debut and will be a threat if his jumping passes the test. Smart hurdler ran well in two points so that can help on this chasing debut. |

5/1(+9%) | (5) Monbeg Park 5/1, Useful hurdler. C&D winner. 11/4, fourth of 7 in minor event chase at Galway (22.5f, soft) 26 days ago. Likely to find one or two too good on this occasion. Won over C&D last month but was poor over 2m6f at Galway since; this suits better. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A case can be made for all six runners in this quality contest. Bouncing back to his best when successful over the course and distance earlier this month, it'll come as no surprise if Jazzy Matty manages to follow up. With two JP McManus representatives in the line-up, Mark Walsh has opted to partner Magic Tricks over Common Practice. The former has a rating of 133, while the latter impressed when successful on his debut over fences here last month. Monbeg Park is another with a C&D win to his name, but he flopped at Galway and will need to bounce back if he is feature. However, GORGEOUS TOM gets the nod. Well fancied when disappointing in the Galway Hurdle, the Champs Elysees six-year-old has some valuable point-to-point experience to his name. Starting off over regulation fences now, a bold bid looks likely.
Having impressed on his chase debut here last month, COMMON PRACTICE earns the vote. The 5-y-o looked a natural over fences that day and may well go on to surpass his useful hurdles form in this sphere. Magic Tricks remains open to improvement as a chaser and he is just about second choice ahead of Jazzy Matty and Gorgeous Tom.
COMMON PRACTICE won over 2m here before a fine Flat run. He has a good chance of lasting this trip once the ground doesn't deteriorate.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
OUR BOBBY has a fine record at Wexford and might be able to defy top-weight in this competitive heat. No worse than third when staying upright in five visits to Bettyville, the likeable grey justified favouritism over the course and distance in July. Now up to a career-high mark of 107, he might be able to eke out further improvement at his favourite venue. While likely to prove popular with punters after his easy Tramore win, Lake Chad isn't the most consistent and has an uninspiring record at Wexford. First, second and third respectively here last month, Falcon Park, Farrokh and Prince Of Air all reoppose. The former since failed to land a blow at Tramore, but could bounce back returning to the scene of his sole success. Bite That might be able to make an impact for the in-form Pat Flynn yard, while Malton Groove and Ernie From Nurney are other leading contenders.
OUR BOBBY opened his chase account at the fourth attempt here last month and a 6 lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from repeating the dose. Dual hurdles winner Ernie From Nurney is open to improvement in this sphere and he is second choice, while Farrokh and Killinure Lass are others with appealing claims.
In cracking form lately, OUR BOBBY could be able to back up his C&D win last time off a mark that is the same as his hurdles rating.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Another competitive affair to round off proceedings, with four last-time-out winners in the line-up. Successful at Downpatrick on Monday, Calahill is turned out again quickly under a 7lb winner's penalty, while Walkonthebriteside, who is a half-brother to Champ, will do well to take this on his first try over fences. Trained locally by Denis Murphy, Three By Two was successful over the course and distance last month and looks a leading contender, while fresh from his Tramore triumph, Inchidaly Copper is sure to have plenty of supporters. However, it might be worth taking a chance on GLENMALURE LODGE. She burst a blood vessel when disappointing at Killarney last month, but she is a real stayer and should appreciate this step up in trip. Bearwithmenow and Cafe Del Mar are others for the shortlist.
CALAHILL opened his Rules account in a Downpatrick handicap chase four days ago and looks capable of following up under a penalty, provided that this doesn't come too soon. Next on the list is Walkonthebriteside, who scored over hurdles here earlier this month and will be a threat if taking to fences at the first attempt, a remark which also applies to Cafe del Mar. Recent C&D 1-2 Three By Two and Bearwithmenow also enter calculations.
Having given away a big lead when spying the paddock exit at Kilbeggan last time, ARDAGHS CHOICE could score if keeping focused today.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
