13:00 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 19f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Despite being a beaten favourite the last twice, SOLAR SYSTEM showed more than enough on his comeback at Chepstow to suggest he can return to winning ways sooner rather than later. The use of Callum Pritchard further enhances his credentials and he gets a confident vote ahead of Baskerville, who has gone close on both handicap appearances. Cloud Dancer has to enter calculations too.

JILAIJONE's losing run is mounting up but there was no shame in being readily brushed aside by the thriving Double Power at Fontwell on his most recent outing, especially with that one extending his winning sequence in a competitive Cheltenham handicap last week, so David Pipe's 5-y-o is well worth another chance from an easing mark. Solar System and Baskerville head up the opposition in an interesting affair.

Solar System is greatly respected but BASKERVILLE ran well at Hereford last month and can overcome a 5lb rise.

13:35 Warwick Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MA SHANTOU was well fancied for the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree where something was clearly amiss as the five-year-old ended up finishing last. He was no match for an impressive winner at Wincanton on his hurdling bow, but the third and fourth have come out and won since, giving the form a boost, and the step up in trip appears likely to yield improvement. Barlovento won on hurdles debut at Carlisle but has to shoulder a penalty and will need to be sharper in the jumping department, while point-to-point winner Rubber Ball is respected on his hurdling bow.

BARLOVENTO added to his bumper success when getting up in the nick of time to make a winning hurdles debut at Carlisle and he's fancied to defy a penalty at the chief expense of useful bumper performer Ma Shantou, who could improve markedly with hurdling experience now under his belt. Rubber Ball made a promising enough start in a Cheltenham bumper last month and should have a future over jumps.

Ma Shantou and Barlovento are of interest but winning pointer RUBBER BALL can leave last month's bumper debut behind him.

14:10 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 3) 16f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

HELNWEIN landed a valuable prize at Sandown on the final day of last season when getting the better of subsequent Greatwood runner-up Be Aware and the six-year-old may well have more to offer tackling the larger obstacles. Booster Bob made a winning start over fences at Ffos Las and has already beaten the selection over hurdles in a Listed contest at Sandown. The application of cheekpieces might help Moveit Like Minnie and it is easy to see why Telepathique will have her supporters.

TELEPATHIQUE took to chasing really well when scoring with plenty in hand at Fakenham 3 weeks so tops the shortlist despite a 13 lb rise. Booster Bob also arrives on the back of an impressive chase debut success, while Moveit Like Minnie is another who is clearly capable.

Booster Bob has an obvious chance but MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE will go well if completing the course in first-time cheekpieces.

14:45 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Pearly Island only found one too good over this trip at Huntingdon when last seen in April and he returns off the same mark today, but the vote goes to THE FLIER BEGLEY. Gary Hanmer's charge has really found his stride of late, winning over C&D before following up at Carlisle, and a further 5lb hike might not prevent him completing a hat-trick. Ballycamus disappointed on his reappearance last month, but he cannot be ruled out for an in-form yard.

With Jack Hogan in the saddle, THE FLIER BEGLEY has proved strong at the finish when winning his last 2 starts, successful over C&D on the first occasion, and he can go on to land the hat-trick in his current form. Ballycamus could be the main danger.

Ballycamus is not passed over lightly but THE FLIER BEGLEY may still have a bit further to go before he's weighted out of things.

15:20 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Copernic Du Mazet looked the most likely winner before coming to grief two from home at Bangor last month and, if none the worse for that tumble, he should mount a stern challenge. That said, there are plenty of reasons to be hopeful about the chances of PADDY IN THE CADDY. He travelled strongly into contention on his seasonal return/chasing debut recently, before weakening approaching two out. A drop in distance ought to suit on that evidence and, on his second start following wind surgery, he may step forward. Abaya Du Mathan heads the remainder.

COPERNIC DU MAZET took a big step forward on his fencing bow at Bangor and looked the probable winner when coming down 2 out so is fancied to make amends here. Dan Skelton's chasing newcomer Pillar Rock could emerge as the chief threat with C&D winner Abaya Du Mathan also well in the mix. The returning Ostrava Du Berlais could have a say too if breathing surgery has a reviving effect.

The chance is taken that COPERNIC DU MAZET can shrug off a late fall at Bangor as he'd jumped really well on his chase debut up to then.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

IKARAK struggled in a warm heat at Cheltenham in January before failing to fire in an equally as competitive event at Newbury the following month, but he might be the answer. Now in the care of Olly Murphy, the six-year-old will undoubtedly appreciate an ease in grade and he has gone well when fresh before. Butler's Brief, up 4lb having won at Bangor last month, is an obvious candidate, while Drop Flight kept on well over 2m4f at Carlisle latest and may fare better now upped in trip.

It's taken Dan Skelton a little time to find the key to DROP FLIGHT but his Carlisle effort at the start of the month was a lot more like it and back up in trip, he now looks ready to cash in on a good mark. Chris Cool has his jumping issues but is very dangerous if keeping the mistakes down, with Butler's Brief likely to be on the premises, too.

Ikarak makes some appeal for his new yard but DROP FLIGHT (nap) looked ready for a bigger effort at Carlisle recently.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
