(6) Onlyamatteroftime 8/11, Bumper winner for N. Madden but hasn't been the most straightforward over hurdles. However, he produced his best effort for his current yard when runner-up in handicap at Ballinrobe (22.4f) last month. Holds leading claims back in maiden company.
By no means straightforward but he brings strong form credentials back into a maiden.

(3) G A Henty 4/1, Lightly-raced 7-y-o who shaped well on first run since leaving Tom George when second in a maiden at Market Rasen (20.6f) in January. Possibly unsuited by conditions in handicaps both starts since, so he's worth another chance back on less testing ground.

Fair third over C&D last month but looks vulnerable here from a win perspective.

14:08 Warwick Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ONLYAMATTEROFTIME could quite justify even-money when filling the runner-up spot over an extended 2m6f in a Ballinrobe handicap last month and the drop in trip looks a good move. Willie Mullins' eight-year-old sets the standard with a rating of 115 and he is difficult to oppose back in maiden company. G A Henty could only manage fifth in a class 3 handicap at Huntingdon but needs to be respected against this level of opposition. Espoir Des Forges is another to consider after his third over C&D.

ONLYAMATTEROFTIME ran his most encouraging race since joining Willie Mullins when second in a Ballinrobe handicap last time and he could be ready to go one better for his leading yard. G A Henty has possibly found the ground softer than ideal on his last 2 starts so is feared most back on a sounder surface, ahead of Espoir des Forges.

The Mullins raider ONLYAMATTEROFTIME isn't one for the faint-hearted given his quirks but the ability is there to win a maiden.

14:38 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CITY ROLLER finished more than two lengths clear of the third over an extended 2m2f at Stratford earlier in the month and is only 2lb higher. The six-year-old may appreciate this drop in distance and he can go one better, with his main threat possibly Come To Pass, who was a fair fourth at Hereford and more can be expected under Brian Hughes off 2lb lower. Of the remainder, No More Bolero makes the most appeal on his handicap debut over hurdles.

A wind operation and a sounder surface are a couple of reasons why pretty useful German Flat performer NO MORE BOLERO might step up on his previous hurdle efforts now handicapping for the first time. Recent Stratford runner-up City Roller should get involved again, while Symbolic Spirit disappointed when favourite at Huntingdon last time but is the sort who could click for Dan Skelton before too long.

There could be a good run in NO MORE BOLERO, who has had wind surgery ahead of his handicap debut and he was useful on the Flat.

15:08 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 5) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

STEAL MY SUNSHINE maintained a wide trip when finishing fifth over hurdles here recently, but he is worth another try over the bigger obstacles. The seven-year-old has Harry Skelton back on board and is comparatively well treated. The main threat might be Hold Your Fort, who makes just his second start for the Debra Hamer yard, and the first-time hood could eke out improvement for him to get closer. Phil De Pail is another to note.

An open-looking staying contest and it could be worth chancing C&D winner HEAD ON, who had a few jumping issues last season but the assessor has given him a serious chance. Coconut Twist got off the mark in points at the fourth attempt in January so he can provide most resistance making his chase debut, with Steal My Sunshine and Phil de Pail taken to fight out third.

An open handicap. GETUPEARLY made a fairly encouraging start over fences here last month after getting behind early.

15:38 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A 2lb rise for last month's Stratford victory looks more than workable for FINEST VIEW. Alan King's mare appears to have been found a suitable opportunity to follow up and she could make light work of this small-field affair. She's A Saint was a useful performer during the 2022/2023 season, although the seven-year-old must prove her well-being on this return from a 445-day absence. With that in mind, recent Hexham fourth Tedley may give the selection most to think about.

It took FINEST VIEW just 2 runs upon rejoining Alan King to resume winning ways at Stratford a month ago and a 2 lb rise won't prevent a very bold follow-up bid. The interesting rival is She's A Saint, who returns from over a year off but is in top hands and the assessor may have taken a chance with her opening mark.

Any of the quartet could quite easily win but TEDLEY is perhaps the safest option and James Turner's claim is very much welcomed.

16:08 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having finished a respectable second on his chase bow at Hexham earlier this month, HOME FREE looks more than capable of capitalising at this level. Dan Skelton's charge can put the experience to good use, and a 3lb higher rating shouldn't prove a barrier to success. His stablemate God's Own Getaway may be the biggest danger, arriving on the back of a narrow defeat over C&D. Le Cameleon also makes some appeal now dropping in class and trip.

None of these can be ruled out but GOD'S OWN GETAWAY has taken well to fences and with the form of his recent C&D second working out well he edges the vote. Stablemate Home Free has also made an encouraging chasing start and is feared most, atlhough Hardy Boy and Le Cameleon command plenty of respect too in a competitive handicap.

Dan Skelton has a strong hand and Harry has presumably plumped for HOME FREE ahead of God's Own Getaway.

(1) Fair Frontieres 8/1, More miss than hit this year and doesn't look the force of old. Mark has become more appealing, however, and latest third at Kempton was much more like it. Worth considering.
No excuses under a positive ride at Kempton (2m5f) recently when beaten about 10l.

(5) Ted's Friend 16/1, Fairly useful hurdler at best but hasn't performed back from a long absence in two outings this spring. Others are more appealing.
On a good mark but it's difficult to get a grip on where he is right now.

(6) Art Approval 18/1, Fairly useful form over hurdles and fences for Fergal O'Brien and has showed that some ability remains recently. Cheekpieces back on and he's edging down the weights.
Not the horse he was but treated accordingly and could have some say.

(8) Throne Hall 20/1, Useful sort at his best on Flat and fairly useful hurdler. Return to this sphere at Hereford recently contained no promise, however, so it's best to look elsewhere.
Pulled up back hurdling at Hereford and hasn't become the easiest to predict.

(4) Mourzouk 22/1, Much improved when racking up a hat-trick in April/May 2022 but back from a long absence with a couple of tame displays last season. Has had another 5 months off and it's hard to know how much ability he retains.
Needs good ground and could stage a revival should conditions remain favourable.

(10) Jac Jumper 28/1, Fairly useful form over hurdles and fences in France but yet to offer much for current yard.
First completion in Britain at Uttoxeter latest but was still only 6th in a field of eight.

16:40 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There is a strong suspicion that we haven't seen the best of Kintail and he merits consideration now encountering some quicker ground on his return from a break. However, THANKYOURLUCKYSTAR rates a more solid proposition having finished a good second at Bangor last month. The Alastair Ralph-trained eight-year-old may defy a 2lb higher rating and secure a first win of the year. Call Me Tara and Fair Frontieres are also worth a closer look.

KINTAIL is unexposed and two from two from this track, so he's worth a chance to put an underwhelming handicap debut behind him after a break. Thankyourluckystar looks resurgent and should pose a major threat from a lenient mark, while Fair Frontieres is an obvious player if able to build on his latest effort.

The interesting one is KINTAIL (nap) who contested a strong race on his handicap debut and he's open to progress at this longer trip.
