|PU| (2) (1/2 +40%) Implicit |
1/2(+40%) | (2) Implicit 1/2, Lightly-raced winner over hurdles. Two wins from 4 runs last season. Latest win in hurdle at Fairyhouse in April. Useful chase prospect. The choice of Paul Townend on chasing debut so has to command maximum respect. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Willie Mullins has landed the last four renewals of this race. His IMPLICIT is a forward-going sort and the undulations in Tramore could suit her. She is fairly fresh ahead of her chasing debut having unseated at the first in a Listed mares' novices' hurdle at the Punchestown Festival. Prior to that, she shed her maiden tag in Clonmel and followed up in a novice handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse. Mullins also saddles Iris Emery, a winner over flights in Fairyhouse who has to be respected. Miss Agusta appears to be the pick of Gordon Elliott's pair, while Idol isn't one to rule out of contention.
IMPLICIT has gone the right way over hurdles this year and can make a successful start to her career over the larger obstacles, most likely at the expense of fellow chase newcomer Miss Agusta.
With Paul Townend on IMPLICIT in preference to her stablemate Iris Emery, the first-named has to be the selection.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LISTENHERETOMEJACK has posted placed efforts over C&D and in a higher grade at Killarney, which gives him solid claims. Drying ground will be to his advantage. Conversely, Pana To Milan would welcome plenty of cut in the ground. She was successful in a higher class, over a similar trip, at Thurles in February. One at the other end of the weights who could show up well is Ocodango Boy. This former point-to-point winner was noted running on for fourth in his first handicap chase at Downpatrick. Three By Two, who is more known for her exploits in banks races, and Greenway Machine look to have better chances than most of the remainder.
LISTENHERETOMEJACK followed a creditable third over C&D in April with an even better second at Killarney last month and gets a narrow vote ahead of La Touche Cup runner-up Three By Two. Pana To Milan completes the shortlist.
Having caught the eye when staying on late from the rear at Downpatrick last time, OCODANGO BOY could make the breakthrough today.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
NINTH TITAN is an intriguing runner for Willie Mullins. This son of Wootton Bassett won several times on the Flat in France and finished unplaced in the French Derby of 2021. His jumping debut didn't go to plan in Galway last summer, but he was affected by kickback in that race. The fact that he returns after almost 10 months off indicates that connections think there are races to be won with him in this discipline. Elusive Prince has a third place in a big field at Fairyhouse in March to his name and should be a factor, while Trade Master can improve upon a couple of sixth places at Naas and Ballinrobe.
NINTH TITAN failed to meet expectations when tenth on his Galway hurdling debut but had some useful winning form to his name in France so is fancied to bounce back in style here. Elusive Prince rates the form pick and can ensure Willie Mullins' 6-y-o doesn't have things all his own way. Walmix and Trade Master appeal as the pick of the remainder for place purposes.
It can probably pay to give another chance to smart Flat sort NINTH TITAN on comeback

|PU| (7) (10/1 -186%) Across The Ocean |
10/1(-186%) | (7) Across The Ocean 10/1, 14/1, very good fourth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Clonmel (19f, soft) 16 days ago. Entitled to be sharper with that run under his belt and worth considering with further improvement anticipated. A decent comeback at Clonmel last time and can go close if improving from that. |

|PU| (8) (20/1 -25%) Knocknacree |
20/1(-25%) | (8) Knocknacree 20/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Tongue strap on for 1st time, pulled up in handicap hurdle at Navan (16f, heavy, 33/1), tailed off when pulled up after 3 out. Off 6 months. Some ability for Gordon Elliott; poor on testing ground for this yard; this ground helps. |

|PU| (11) (22/1 -120%) Pinky |
22/1(-120%) | (11) Pinky 22/1, 12/1, last of 6 in handicap hurdle debut at Navan (15.7f, heavy) 70 days ago, doing too much too soon. However, it remains early days and she's not one to write off for very shrewd stable. Well beaten on handicap debut in testing ground but should fare better today. |

It is a long time between drinks for CONTRAPPOSTO, but his sliding mark sees him just get into this basement grade and he can take full advantage. His third place in Tipperary was a better effort and this is lesser company. This sharp track could easily help Tingarran Express double her win total. Since delivering at Clonmel in April, she has finished runner-up three times in a row. Her consistency is a bonus among horses who struggle to put a string of decent results together. Trishknowsbest kept on for third in an opportunity handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe, so has to enter calculations.
TINGARRAN EXPRESS has held her form particularly well following her breakthrough success at Clonmel in April, runner-up at Wexford 3 days ago, and she looks sure to go well again in this groove. Across The Ocean remains open to improvement and can build on his comeback run at Clonmel 16 days ago. Must Be Dreaming and Trishknowsbest are others in the mix. Pinky is another worth keeping an eye on.
ACROSS THE OCEAN could be the answer with improvement to come from his Clonmel return for an in-form yard.

Point-to-point winner PALLAS ATHENE looks the percentage call, especially now that she is stepped up in trip. The Gordon Elliott-trained mare has been running consistently in maidens all year but appears to lack the gears when the race develops in earnest. Faced with an additional two furlongs now, she may just grind it out from the front. Granpa Ger ran better than his final placing suggests when fifth at Punchestown last month. The six-year-old was making ground from the rear when getting the second-last hurdle all wrong. To his credit, the Tony Mullins-trained gelding stayed on well after the last. Mystic Sage looks a mare who could improve further now faced with more of a stamina test.
PALLAS ATHENE has been rather frustrating so far but, if she can find her best form, she should have enough to take advantage of what appears an excellent opportunity to belatedly open her account. Malton Groove is the main danger on form and there might be more to come from Mystic Stage
From a good Bowe-bred family of hurdlers, WOLFHILL took a nice step forward in a better maiden at Punchestown and can get off the mark

Having run well in a better race at Killarney last month, MERCURY MISSION can strike here for trainer Michael O'Connor. The five-year-old stayed on well enough when finishing fifth, to suggest that he would be worth trying over this longer trip. Downtherefordancin was unable to build on a promising Naas second when only fourth at Cork. However, that was still a fair run in the circumstances so the Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding has to be given serious consideration. Penny Jar, one place behind Downtherefordancin in Cork, should again be competitive. The eight-year-old ran really well on the Flat on his only previous visit to this track.
Course-winner EARLY ARRIVAL signalled he's ready to go in again when runner-up in a big-field Clonmel handicap last time so looks the way to go. Gavin Cromwell's top-weight Downtherefordancin heads the list of dangers on the back of his good Cork fourth with in-form duo Penny Jar and Mercury Mission also firmly in the picture.
A course winner here last year, EARLY ARRIVAL has run two belters in big-field contests since returning to action and gets the nod

16/1(+36%) | (1) Broomfield Gale 16/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. Unseated rider in novice hurdle at Cork (19.2f, good, 66/1) 21 days ago, might have been placed. Switches from hurdles to bumpers. Not dismissed. Well held in both bumpers; probably flattered when beaten 10l in maiden hurdle here. |

4th (5) (7/4 -17%) Ocean Brew |
7/4(-17%) | (5) Ocean Brew 7/4, Once-raced maiden. Second of 9 in bumper (7/1) at Cork (16f, heavy) on NH debut 61 days ago. Should build on that and will take all the beating. Point winner was second in Cork bumper and that form has worked out reasonably well. |

28/1(-40%) | (9) Sea Of Doubt 28/1, Once-raced maiden. 80/1, eighth of 17 in bumper at Cork (16.3f, good) on NH debut 21 days ago. Beaten 20l when mid-division in Cork bumper; needs a good chunk of improvement. |

16/1(+20%) | (3) Lady Nightingale 16/1, €3,500 3-y-o, Pillar Coral mare. Dam (h106), bumper/21f hurdle winner, half-sister to bumper winner/useful hurdler (2m/17f winner) Knight In Purple. Out of bumper/2m5f hurdle winner; fair run in first point but poor since, off six months. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
GLANNAGAULLITEHOUS catches the eye here on her racecourse debut. Jonathan Sweeney landed a gamble with a similar type last month when jockey Adam Ryan was also in the saddle. A half-sister to a smart bumper mare who Sweeney also trained, the five-year-old should be monitored closely in the market. Gordon Elliott's Ocean Brew probably ran into a decent prospect when runner-up on her racecourse debut at Cork recently. A winning point-to-pointer, the daughter of Westerner is likely to be ridden quite positively in order to make this a stamina test. Twice-placed Shannon Bank has plenty of experience at this stage so should be involved for trainer Seamus Fahey.
OCEAN BREW made a positive start at Cork a couple of months ago and there's scope for improvement, so she's an obvious one to side with. Shannon Bank is the danger on form and Reel Orange might step up on her debut.
From a yard in form and with an appealing pedigree, GLANNAGAULLITEHOUS is chosen to make a winning debut

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
