14:00 Tipperary Maiden 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TENNESSEE STUD made a pleasing debut over an extended mile at the Galway Festival when staying on for third behind Puppet Master and Starry Desert, who both had the benefit of previous experience, with You Are Mine about 10 lengths back in fifth. The son of Wootton Bassett from the family of Rock Of Gibraltar should progress from that outing and probably has most to fear from Shackleton, who also made a bright start when staying on into second behind the impressive Hill Road at Leopardstown. Ballydoyle are also represented by County Mayo, who is out of a half-sister to Arc winner Danedream, while Trubshaw is another newcomer to note.

SHACKLETON probably bumped into a good one on debut at Leopardstown and can go one better. Tennessee Stud also made an encouraging start when third at Galway and is the obvious threat.

There was plenty to like about SHACKLETON'S first run at Leopardstown and he should improve plenty for that debut effort

14:30 Tipperary Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CERCENE caught the eye on debut over a similar trip at Gowran Park last month and, given normal improvement, may prove difficult to beat. The daughter of Australia was patiently ridden but finished with great effect to be placed behind An Chorr Dubh, with Ranting And Raven over six lengths behind. Dignam has been placed on both outings and was prominent throughout when going close at Gowran last time, while No Return has also shown promise in three starts and could be suited by this step up in trip. Whywhywhy Delilah was far from disgraced when making her debut on testing ground at Galway, while Billy Lee is a notable booking on newcomer Temperance.

CERCENE shaped well on her debut when a running-on third in a big-field Gowran maiden and this daughter of Australia seems sure to build on it over this slightly longer trip so gets the verdict. Tamam Desert also has better days ahead of her and is next on the list, with Joseph O'Brien's Dignam another with the form to play a part. Johnny Murtagh's School of Athens appeals as the pick of the newcomers and completes the shortlist.

15:00 Tipperary Stakes 8f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Ross O'Sullivan holds a strong hand here and perhaps WARRIOR BRAVE can regain the winning thread. The six-year-old gelding won three times last year and was also placed in this corresponding race, and comes here on the back of a solid second to Power Under Me over 7f at Naas. Stablemate Follow Me won twice at the Curragh earlier this season and could bounce back after a disappointing run at Royal Ascot, while Self Belief won the Group 3 Meld Stakes over 1m1f on soft ground at Leopardstown last year and now drops back in trip having failed to reach that level of form since. Star Galaxy won a Punchestown handicap off a mark of 81 last autumn and has been generally consistent in Listed company since.

WARRIOR BRAVE showed his well-being when a good second at Naas last time out so is fancied to go one better here. Self Belief could give him most to do if back to his best, with Follow Me and Star Galaxy also in the mix if on song.

Ross O'Sullivan's WARRIOR BRAVE (nap) could be the one to be on. He got close to a solid yardstick at Naas and he acts on fast ground.

15:30 Tipperary Group 3 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SUPER SOX is a promising filly and has the physique to continue improving. A half-sister to a Group-placed sprinter, she has progressed with racing and while she has 6lb to find with Matilda Picotte on ratings, hasn't reached her peak yet and is suited by today's conditions. Matilda Picotte, who finished third in the 2023 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, is already a Group 2 winner and was second in this race last year. She finished fifth at Riyadh in February, then disappointed at the Curragh in May, but showed better form when well held in a Deauville Group 1 last month. Thornbrook holds Wendla on July form at Leopardstown.

SUPER SOX is still low mileage and found significant improvement when scoring at Cork last month. She is fancied to make her first start in group company a winning one. Matilda Picotte and Mammas Girl are feared most.

There should be even better to come from SUPER SOX following a recent Listed win at Cork on her first run since a maiden success in May

16:00 Tipperary Listed 5f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TWILIGHT JET has a little to find on adjusted ratings but won last year's renewal of this race and blinkers are reapplied today, having finished narrowly behind Ano Syra last month. The selection has failed in his seven most recent starts but did finish second at Listed level in May and blinkers might help return him to his best. He is also unbeaten in two C&D runs. Another track-and-trip winner, She's Quality is the top adjusted-rated runner and runs in first-time blinkers. A dual scorer this summer, she won here in July but was well held in last month's Deauville run. Eight-time winner Go Athletico returns from a mid-summer break and while he's smart on his day, he would prefer slower ground.

LITTLE QUEENIE is thriving and added to an excellent Dundalk record when landing a handicap there recently, so she's fancied to gain a breakthrough success in listed company here. She's Quality and Ano Syra are closely matched with the selection on form and should give her plenty to think about.

A hopeful vote goes to the newly-blinkered SHE'S QUALITY who has to reverse Curragh Group 2 form with Jakajaro and Ano Syra

16:30 Tipperary Handicap 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DANCING STEVE was placed over 1m2f earlier in the summer and was nearest at the finish when making the frame over this trip at Cork last time. The Highland Reel gelding has prospects of making the breakthrough if finding a little improvement on that last run and is back against his own age group here. Formerly with Andrew Balding, Simple Endeavour was runner-up on her second start for Jessica Harrington at Naas in early July. The Dubawi filly made the running then and now drops back a furlong. Bizarre Dreams made a promising handicap debut when fourth at Gowran in June but hasn't yet built on that, while Sobriety Blue ran well on soft ground when fifth at the Galway Festival.

Preference is for SIMPLE ENDEAVOUR, who was having just her second start for new connections when runner-up at Naas last time and still has relatively few miles on the clock. Bizarre Dreams and Dancing Steve can also make their presence felt.

Expensive yearling purchase SIMPLE ENDEAVOUR can step up a place following a promising second at Naas in July

17:00 Tipperary Handicap 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FINSCEAL ANNIE had four of these rivals behind when landing a handicap over an extended 7f here earlier in the month. The runner-up has boosted that form since and Ciaran Murphy's filly, previously second over a mile at Killarney, may be able to follow up if proving as effective over this trip. With Annie Luck came from well back when third to the selection here last time and, with this longer trip likely to suit her, there may not be much between the pair on this occasion. Martinelli has made the first four in all bar one of his six starts in handicaps and is another going up in distance, while Small Bucks shaped well against older rivals at Cork.

Based on LITTLE LADY LUCY's background/pedigree, she should be better than an opening mark of 61, so a chance is taken on her in an open-looking contest. With Annie Luck is a danger and another solid performance is expected from Finsceal Annie

Kevin Prendergast has sent out a couple of winners in recent weeks and has a strong contender here in WITH ANNIE LUCK

17:30 Tipperary Handicap 12f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LADY CHRISTA is well suited by this trip and won emphatically at Fairyhouse in June. After a blip next time, she was a creditable second in a competitive Galway Festival contest a month ago. Billy Lee's mount likes to race prominently and may be able to get a second win on the board. Unterberg won over this trip at Dundalk during the winter and was narrowly foiled over 1m1f at Cork last time. He has won off this mark before and stepping back up in trip should suit. Progressive over hurdles this summer until being well held on her most recent start, Steps In The Sand is a dual AW winner with some fair Flat form on turf as well.

UNTERBERG confirmed himself as least as good on turf as he is polytrack when just denied at Cork last time and shades the vote over Rhythm And Tyne, who's been well held over hurdles of late but has won this last 2 starts in this sphere. Lady Christa is another to consider.

Slight preference is for BLACK SOUL off a career low mark. Two of his better efforts have come over C&D and Blackmore has been booked.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
