1st (11) (11/4 +31%) Top Cloud |
11/4(+31%) | (11) Top Cloud 11/4, Successful in a point bumper and whilst he didn't offer a great deal in handful of hurdle starts for Chris Grant last winter, he remains sufficiently lightly raced to suggest he may yet do better. Had wind op ahead of return/yard debut and the market should guide. Tongue tied. Struggled on handicap debut but is with a new stable now and remains unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (33/1 -136%) Good News |
33/1(-136%) | (1) Good News 33/1, Had a fine 2022 over hurdles, gaining fifth success at Kempton (24.5f) in November. Form tailed off thereafter, well held fifth of 6 in handicap at Fontwell (25.7f) when last seen in May but given a chance the assessor ahead of this return to action. Getting long in the tooth now and was out of form when last seen in the spring. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (6/1 +8%) Sir Rock |
6/1(+8%) | (4) Sir Rock 6/1, Irish point winner who readily surpassed previous exploits under Rules when making all over hurdles at Fontwell (21.7f) in May. Veered left start and took no part on return at that venue 3 days ago however, and that has to be a concern here. Good claims if judged on Fontwell win in May but refused to race there on Friday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/2 +42%) Dynamic Kate |
7/2(+42%) | (3) Dynamic Kate 7/2, Back to best following a wind op when running out a cosy winner at Worcester (23f) in August and similar form in defeat both starts since, creditable fifth back at that track/trip 3 weeks ago. Should give another good account for all she's yet to defy a mark this high. Worcester winner this summer; player if race is run to suit her usual patient tactics. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (13/2 -44%) Maroochi |
13/2(-44%) | (9) Maroochi 13/2, Deservedly shed maiden tag when dead heating at Newton Abbot (21.5f) last summer and comfortably best effort since when good third of 11 in handicap at Worcester (23f) in August and she's not out of things with a repeat. Ran well when last in action but has a modest strike-rate and others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (14/1 -17%) Barrowmount |
14/1(-17%) | (10) Barrowmount 14/1, C&D maiden winner who has fallen a long way in the weights in handicaps, not disgraced when fourth at Plumpton (25f) in May. Absent subsequently and the betting may prove a useful guide here. Arrested decline and made the frame twice in the spring; back from break today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (8/1 -100%) Cawthorne Lad |
8/1(-100%) | (2) Cawthorne Lad 8/1, Fair hurdler who has slipped to a career-low mark and matched yard debut form when third at Worcester 920f) 6 weeks ago. Not out of things stepping back up in trip. Stayed on for third off this mark over 2m4f in August; shortlised. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (12/1 +33%) Karakoram |
12/1(+33%) | (5) Karakoram 12/1, Seemed well suited by the step up to 3m when resuming winning ways at Taunton in March. Not in same form either start thereafter during the spring but he's a likely candidate to bounce back returning from a break. Won twice last season but ended campaign on a low note and resumes on fairly tough mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (14/1 +36%) Genuflex |
14/1(+36%) | (7) Genuflex 14/1, Fair hurdler at his best but well below best over hurdles during second half of last year. Fairly low-key return in 2 spins on Flat in recent weeks but that will have done his fitness no harm. Not seen over hurdles since two heavy defeats last autumn; recent Flat form uninspiring. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (12/1 +45%) Malina Ocarina |
12/1(+45%) | (8) Malina Ocarina 12/1, Landed a gamble in good style at Southwell (20.4f) in May but mixed bag has followed, pulled up in mares' handicap at Bangor (19.5f) 7 weeks ago. Has slipped back down to last winning mark if the break has perked her up. Won in good style off 2lb lower in the spring but is not one to rely upon. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
MAROOCHI took a step in the right direction when third at Worcester in August and the mare has been found a suitable opportunity to gain a second career victory. Sir Rock refused to race when sent off favourite at Fontwell on Friday, but he would be capable of a decent showing if consenting to jump off with his rivals. Barrowmount and Dynamic Kate appeal most of the remainder.
A leap of faith is required in supporting TOP CLOUD yet he remains sufficiently unexposed to think he can improve in handicaps and, making his debut for a yard amongst the winners, he could just be worth chancing without the benefit of market clues. Cawthorne Lad and Dynamic Kate are others to consider, whilst Sir Rock has the ability to play a part, provided he consents to set off this time.
The pick is CAWTHORNE LAD, who was placed off today's mark over 2m4f last time and ought to be suited by today's longer trip.

1st (2) (15/8 +16%) Kartoon And Co |
15/8(+16%) | (2) Kartoon And Co 15/8, Half-brother to French chaser Hurry Up (2¼m-21f winner, by Nom de D'La), out of a half-sister to fairly useful hurdle winner/useful chaser (winner around 2m) Made In Montot. Tongue tied on debut and a likely type on paper. Out of a French chase winner; represents a top stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (8/1 -33%) Billytherealbigred |
8/1(-33%) | (1) Billytherealbigred 8/1, From the family of useful chaser (stays 3¼m) Storm Control. Starts out with yard among the winners. Out of a half-sister to two useful jumpers; makes appeal on paper. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/8 +39%) Summer Night City |
11/8(+39%) | (3) Summer Night City 11/8, Brother to 4 winners, including fair hurdler Lady Reset and bumper winner Luckinthecity. Wears hood. Yard in top form (had 2 first-time-out hurdles winners in the last fortnight). Lots to like. Out of a fairly useful Flat-racer who has produced four winners (one over hurdles). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (4/1 -78%) Lecce Lady |
4/1(-78%) | (4) Lecce Lady 4/1, Half-sister to bumper winner Audacity (by Pivotal). Dam 11.5f/1½m winner who stayed 1¾m. Hooded for debut and she's an interesting newcomer. Half-sister to a Listed bumper winner; nice pedigree; hooded on debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
KARTOON AND CO represents top connections and the son of Balko, who is related to several winners in France, gets the vote to make a successful start. Ben Brookhouse has his string in fine fettle and his Summer Night City commands plenty of respect, even though he sports a hood on debut. Similar comments apply to Lecce Lady, whose half-brother was a Listed bumper winner as a juvenile.
Four likeable 3-y-os for hurdling on paper and the betting may help sort them out, with SUMMER NIGHT CITY chanced for a red-hot yard that sent out a winning juvenile hurdler at Plumpton recently.
Guesswork is needed to pick the winner from this field of four newcomers but Dan Skelton's KARTOON AND CO might be the answer.

1st (10) (3.5/1 +68%) Shetland Tony |
3.5/1(+68%) | (10) Shetland Tony 3.5/1, Fair maiden hurdler for Gordon Elliott. Returns from 11 months off now but new yard is going well so he can't be discounted. Disappointed on handicap debut for Gordon Elliott last year but showed promise beforehand. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (11) (4/1 -14%) Shinji |
4/1(-14%) | (11) Shinji 4/1, Proved a class apart in Fakenham bumper for Roger Varian (subsequently sold £60,000) in November. Good third in listed bumper at Newbury after but well held in a hood in Aintree Grade 2 bumper in April. Very much one to consider now going hurdling. Placed in Listed Newbury bumper in February and a good hurdling prospect this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (3.5/1 -75%) Schmilsson |
3.5/1(-75%) | (9) Schmilsson 3.5/1, Fairly useful 10f winner on Flat in 2022. Gelded and bought from Andrew Balding 40,000 gns so he's an interesting hurdling debutant despite his long absence for a yard among the winners. Useful Flat-racer for Andrew Balding; makes stable/hurdle debut after 389-day absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (18/1 +28%) Footloose Man |
18/1(+28%) | (6) Footloose Man 18/1, Modest maiden hurdler who wasn't disgraced when fifth of 11 in novice hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, soft) 20 days ago. Tongue strap on for 1st time with more needed if he's to get off the mark. Has shown some ability but low-grade handicaps are probably on the agenda after this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (5/1 +38%) Kenzai Warrior |
5/1(+38%) | (4) Kenzai Warrior 5/1, Fairly useful winner on Flat. Good second in 2m Worcester novice in June but only ninth in handicap there 48 days ago. Needs to bounce back. Useful Flat-racer but nothing special over hurdles, and has mixed record in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (22/1 -83%) Captain Attridge |
22/1(-83%) | (1) Captain Attridge 22/1, Fair maiden on the Flat (stays 1¼m) who looks a work-in-progress over hurdles, third of 10 in novice hurdle at Ludlow (15.8f, good) in May. Should progress further on his return. Improved with experience over hurdles in the spring and probably still has more to offer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (200/1 -100%) Mountain Bay |
200/1(-100%) | (8) Mountain Bay 200/1, Has offered little in bumpers at Fontwell and Plumpton this winter. Off 6 months ahead of his hurdles debut with lots to prove. Well beaten in both bumpers last season and can only be watched on today's hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (125/1 -279%) Blackacre |
125/1(-279%) | (5) Blackacre 125/1, Back in trip when only ninth of 11 in novice hurdle at Newton Abbot (16.8f, soft) 7 days ago. Sort to do better once qualified for handicaps. Placed in a bumper in April but soundly beaten on both hurdling starts for new stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (10/1 -67%) Global Esteem |
10/1(-67%) | (3) Global Esteem 10/1, Fairly useful 1m handicapper on Flat for John Gallagher, ninth in 1m Ascot handicap last month. Much respected on his hurdles/yard debut. Fairly useful Flat-racer at up to 1m, with 5-42 strike-rate; makes stable/hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (200/1 -506%) Jormungandr |
200/1(-506%) | (7) Jormungandr 200/1, Nathaniel gelding who showed a bit when fifth on Southwell bumper debut but he beat only one on his hurdles debut at Fontwell last time. Lots more is required. Tailed off after racing too freely on hurdling debut a Fontwell (2m1f) in August. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (9/2 +36%) Dixie Flyer |
9/2(+36%) | (2) Dixie Flyer 9/2, Fair ex-Irish hurdler. Came in a below-par eighth of 11 in handicap at Tramore (16f, good) on his final run for Henry De Bromhead.but holds leading form claims if back on song for his new yard here. 0-9 over hurdles in Ireland but showed some fair form; big player on today's stable debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
SHINJI was placed in a Listed bumper at Newbury on his second start before finding the Grade 2 event at Aintree too hot to handle. Connections have acquired the services of Brian Hughes in the saddle and the four-year-old has been found a fine starting point for his hurdling career. Schmilsson had looked promising on the level before his form tailed off, but a change of code might rekindle the enthusiasm. Kenzai Warrior and Shetland Tony are others capable of being in the mix.
The market should reveal plenty here but Olly Murphy has his string in excellent nick so his SCHMILSSON, a fairly useful Flat winner for Andrew Balding, is taken to defy a long absence and go in at the first time of asking in this sphere. Shinji brings fairly useful bumper form to the table and is greatly respected on his hurdles bow, while the ex-Irish pair Dixie Flyer and Shetland Tony have the form to play a part too if at their best on their respective debuts for new handlers.
Preference is for Sean Curran's new recruit DIXIE FLYER, in the hope he can replicate his fair Irish form. Shinji is feared most.

1st (5) (11/2 +21%) Martalmix'jac |
11/2(+21%) | (5) Martalmix'jac 11/2, Patchy record without victory over jumps. Tongue tie now added to cheekpieces and he's down another 5 lb in the weights (second in the novice handicap hurdle on this card last year off 91). Stayed on to snatch third here in June but two lesser efforts have followed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/2 -30%) Famoso |
13/2(-30%) | (4) Famoso 13/2, Finally opened his account (at the 17th time of asking under Rules) in 17f handicap chase here in August (rallied well). Not so good at Warwick since but this is easier and he could go well if staying. Course winner over 2m1f in August and didn't run badly at Warwick last month; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/2 -65%) Time To Bite |
11/2(-65%) | (3) Time To Bite 11/2, 0-22 in all codes over jumps, though running well (including over C&D) when last seen. Worth chancing in a thin race first time back after a year off. Second in this race a year ago; big player if ready to roll after 359-day layoff. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (11/4 +50%) Ideallko |
11/4(+50%) | (7) Ideallko 11/4, Poor maiden hurdler who hasn't been disgraced in handicaps in that sphere the last twice. Makes chase debut down in trip on return and not dismissed. Started off in handicap hurdles with two encouraging runs in the spring; chase debut today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (12/1 -118%) Bari Breeze |
12/1(-118%) | (2) Bari Breeze 12/1, Bumper winner with a mixed record over hurdles and has shown very little over fences (never going/jumping well pretty early on at Worcester 4 weeks ago). Cheekpieces tried. Yard hitting their straps again. Second off 6lb higher over hurdles in August but ran poorly in chase last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (11/4 +31%) Testflight |
11/4(+31%) | (6) Testflight 11/4, Poor maiden hurdler, well backed and went as if still in good form but failed to get home at Newton Abbot (26.5f) 7 weeks ago. Drops markedly in trip for chase debut. Ran well to a point in 3m2f hurdle here in July but soundly beaten over that trip since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (12/1 -9%) Claras Soldier |
12/1(-9%) | (1) Claras Soldier 12/1, Down the field in bumpers/over hurdles when completing last term. May do better chasing at a low level this season and returns in a thin contest. One to note. Unplaced all five hurdling starts; improvement needed on this seasonal/chase debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Famoso was a bit disappointing at Warwick when attempting to supplement his determined win over 2m1f here. He could bounce back but a chance is taken on the fitness of TIME TO BITE, who has achieved a spot on the podium on all four starts since joining Chris Honour. Cheekpieces could help Bari Breeze put a Worcester no-show behind him, with Testflight and Claras Soldier worth a look on their first crack at the bigger obstacles.
A low-grade event that can see TIME TO BITE make a successful return. He was second in this last year and has shown more than enough to take a race like this with a decent round of jumping. Famoso is a winner already over these fences and could figure back here if he stays. An improved showing from Bari Breeze fitted with cheekpieces for his in-form yard wouldn't be a total surprise.
After running well in a big-field handicap hurdle in May, IDEALLKO is taken to make a winning chase debut.

1st (1) (13/8 +19%) Myristica |
13/8(+19%) | (1) Myristica 13/8, Fairly useful Flat performer who has taken very well to hurdles this summer, completing a maiden/novice hat-trick. Has shaped well in defeat in handicap company on her last 2 outings and should give another good account. No match for winner when second at Warwick last month but evidently still in good form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (7/4 +22%) Hourless |
7/4(+22%) | (6) Hourless 7/4, Modest Flat winner who made a successful start over hurdles at Hexham in June. Good second under a penalty at Newton Abbot in July and has run with credit in defeat on the Flat since. Very interesting now handicapping for the first time in this sphere. Nothing special on the Flat but has made promising start to hurdling career. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (10/1 -33%) Lipa K |
10/1(-33%) | (2) Lipa K 10/1, Doubled up at Warwick and Ludlow in the spring (both 2m) but his run of good form came to a halt when last of 5 at Fakenham at the beginning of June. Given a break since. Won two 2m handicaps in the spring; back from break today; further progress possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (33/1 +0%) Gms Prince |
33/1(+0%) | (3) Gms Prince 33/1, Fair form over hurdles in autumn 2021 but absent since finishing a well-held fourth of 5 at Bangor in spring 2022. Watching brief has to be the percentage call. Has had wind surgery. Made promising start to hurdling career in 2021 but absent since April 2022. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (15/2 -25%) Jack Sprat |
15/2(-25%) | (4) Jack Sprat 15/2, Out of a winning hurdler and showed some promise when placed in a pair of 2m maiden hurdles in the spring. Appeals as a potential improver now handicapping on his return to action. Kept on quite strongly for second in Wincanton maiden in April; handicap debut today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (8/1 +33%) Whenitrainsitpours |
8/1(+33%) | (7) Whenitrainsitpours 8/1, Still looking for a first success and well held in handicaps of late. Mark has come down as a result but he needs a 115-day break to help spark a revival. Beaten 40l+ in two handcaps in the spring and is now 0-8 over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (18/1 -140%) Bizzy Moon |
18/1(-140%) | (5) Bizzy Moon 18/1, Half-sister to connections useful hurdler Molly Ollys Wishes. Well held in sole bumper but made a successful start to her hurdle career at Market Rasen in April. Well-held third of 4 under a penalty 5 weeks later but retains potential for top yard now handicapping after 5 months off. Won modest mares' maiden in April; makes handicap debut after five-month break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Myristica was well placed to record a hat-trick in novice company and has held his own off this mark since going handicapping. He has to give so much weight to HOURLESS, though, and Alan King's juvenile has taken well to jumping, winning at Hexham before finding only a subsequent dual winner too strong at Newton Abbot. He has performed with credit on the level since. Jack Sprat has got a handy initial rating that he could capitalise on, with similar sentiments applying to Bizzy Moon.
HOURLESS looks feasibly treated now making a quick switch to handicaps in this sphere and can strike for Alan King. Myristica has enjoyed a cracking spell since switching to hurdles and is second choice. Jack Sprat and Bizzy Moon are other potential improvers now moving into handicap company for good stables.
Alan King's 3yo HOURLESS (nap) has made a good start to his hurdling career and could be on a good mark for this handicap debut.

1st (7) (2/1 +33%) Jigginstown King |
2/1(+33%) | (7) Jigginstown King 2/1, Quiet start over fences last season but improved when going close at Fontwell in April before winning twice the following month, latterly back at Fontwell (21.6f, good to firm). 4 lb rise fair enough and will be a threat if ready to roll. Has undergone a wind op. Came good with two chase wins in May; returns in stronger race but may progress again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (3/1 +25%) Minella Buster |
3/1(+25%) | (4) Minella Buster 3/1, Hurdles winner who improved when sent chasing last season, scoring on his return at Kempton (3m, good) prior to making the frame in handicaps at Exeter and Taunton. However, he resumes here with something to prove having performed poorly on his last 2 starts. Well handicapped on last autumn's form but returns from break with a point to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (9/1 +18%) Aviewtosea |
9/1(+18%) | (6) Aviewtosea 9/1, Three chase wins for Fergal O'Brien in 2022 and performed well, despite some sloppy jumping, when second in a 4-runner affair at Worcester (23f, good) in June. Little impact both starts over hurdles for present yard and now tried in more severe headgear on first run following a wind op. Triple chase winner in 2022; not in same form this year; had wind op last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (9/1 -20%) Steel Wave |
9/1(-20%) | (5) Steel Wave 9/1, Has never been one for maximum faith but has hit the target at this course 3 times this year, the latest gained over C&D last month. However, 4 lb rise could leave this veteran vulnerable in what looks a stronger race, for all that he clearly likes it round here. 13yo who has won three times over C&D this season; this race is more competitive, though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (3/1 -9%) Allo Allo |
3/1(-9%) | (3) Allo Allo 3/1, Won 2 of his 3 starts over hurdles (both at Fakenham) last term prior to switching to fences. Successful on second of his two completed starts in this sphere, landing a 9-runner Bangor handicap (20.3f, good to firm) when last seen in April, and it's likely that he has more to offer as a chaser. Signed off with clearcut win at Bangor in April and could still have potential over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (17/2 -31%) Sublime Heights |
17/2(-31%) | (1) Sublime Heights 17/2, Winner of 3 Plumpton handicap chases in cheekpieces/visor at up to to 25.7f last term, the latest off 7 lb lower in February. Made hard work of things when second in a 4-runner race there the following month, though, and blinkers now given another try. Well held both previous starts here. 3-7 during first season over fences, with all the wins gained at Plumpton; back from break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Jigginstown King signed off his first campaign under Rules with a Fakenham/Fontwell double and has undergone wind surgery during his summer break. Sublime Heights is a bit of a Plumpton specialist but still warrants attention, while Steel Wave has an edge in match practice after winning over C&D for the fourth time. ALLO ALLO has the more scope for improvement, though, and after breaking his chasing duck at Bangor in April, Stuart Edmunds' gelding can pick up where he left off.
Easily the most appealing of these is ALLO ALLO, who possesses the potential to develop into a useful chaser judged on what he showed in 3 starts in this sphere last term. The 7-y-o did the job well when opening his account over fences at Bangor in April, for which a 6 lb rise is fair. The hat-trick seeking Jigginstown King is likely to emerge as the main threat given that Sublime Heights, though talented, now looks a shade too high in the weights and hasn't won away from Plumpton under Rules.
There might still be more improvement to come from ALLO ALLO, who ended last season with a convincing win at Bangor.

1st (1) (5/1 -25%) Moon Chime |
5/1(-25%) | (1) Moon Chime 5/1, Trained by Fergal O'Brien when overcoming inexperience to make a winning start to his career at Worcester in May. Should have more to offer and much respected despite his penalty. Created pretty good impression when winning from off the pace at Worcester in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (4/1 +38%) Yalla Habibi |
4/1(+38%) | (9) Yalla Habibi 4/1, This son of Soldier of Fortune was picked up for £42,000 after finishing third in an Irish point in April. Stable has a good bumper record. Respected, particularly if the betting vibes are strong. Cost £42,000 after promising Irish point debut in April; new stable does well in bumpers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (28/1 -460%) Cloughroe |
28/1(-460%) | (2) Cloughroe 28/1, Sans Frontieres gelding who showed ability amidst inexperience when fourth of 8 at Worcester (good to soft) on debut 3 weeks ago. May do better. Made quite promising debut last month but the form isn't anything out of the ordinary. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (5/1 -33%) Wilful |
5/1(-33%) | (8) Wilful 5/1, €105,000 Westerner gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Bold Enough. Likely type on paper. Market informative. Half-brother to useful jumper Bold Enough; bought for 105,000euros as a 3yo; interesting. |

8th (4) (15/2 -88%) Bahio Boum |
15/2(-88%) | (4) Bahio Boum 15/2, 7/2, shaped with encouragement when third of 8 on his Worcester debut 3 weeks ago. Big player here with improvement on the cards. Shaped with significant promise when third on recent debut at Worcester. |

9th (6) (80/1 -142%) Johnnie River |
80/1(-142%) | (6) Johnnie River 80/1, Telescope gelding. Dam 1½m-1¾m winner who stayed 16.5f. His stable is 1-48 in bumpers in the last 5 seasons. Second foal from a Flat winner in Jersey; stable has very modest bumper strike-rate. |

10th (7) (9/1 +25%) Pottersjetamay |
9/1(+25%) | (7) Pottersjetamay 9/1, 11/2, badly in need of experience when sixth of 10 on his Huntingdon debut (soft) in April. Fitted with a tongue strap on his return. May do better. Made just a mildly encouraging debut at Huntingdon in April. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Moon Chime is the obvious starting point after winning at the first time of asking at Worcester in May. He has switched stables since, while Bahio Boum will have given the Skeltons encouragement with his debut third. Pottersjetamay and Cloughroe have also shown enough to warrant an interest, but a chance is still taken on the newcomer WILFUL. Jonjo O'Neill's four-year-old is related to winners and cost 105,000 euros last year.
An interesting bumper to conclude. MOON CHIME ran to quite a useful level when successful on his debut in the spring and might be up to defying a penalty with improvement on the cards. Bahio Boum is respected on the back of a promising first run, while Boy From Brazil, Wilful and Yalla Habibi are bumper newcomers from stables with good records in these events.
Irish point third YALLA HABIBI is selected to enhance Milton Harris' excellent bumper record.
Ths is the racecard key.
