GAVI DI GAVI found the return to 1m to his liking when scoring at Sandown last month and a 4lb rise may not be enough to prevent the Alan King-trained gelding from striking again. Girl Inthe Picture was runner-up at Yarmouth when last seen in June and cannot be discounted at this level. Hellavapace and Typical Man have form that would bring them into calculations too.

GAVI DI GAVI cashed in on his lower turf mark at Sandown last month and he retains plenty of handicapping scope up 4 lb. Anglo Saxson certainly won't lack for assistance from the saddle and he's feared most, ahead of Typical Man.

An open race. ANGLO SAXSON has been doing well at Yarmouth for his current yard but he should be effective elsewhere.

ODONNELL'S ORCHARD was far from disgraced when finishing a more than respectable fourth in the Listed Rose Bowl at Newbury last month and a similar level of performance may prove good enough here. This contest is by no means a weak affair though, with Zabriskie Point likely having more to offer after winning on his debut at Leicester in May, while it's too early to write off Boyfriend.

ODONNELL'S ORCHARD looked an ambitious runner pitched into listed company at Newbury 3 weeks ago but he ran a cracker to finish fourth. Back in class, he looks the answer, for all Leicester-winner Zabriskie Point is open to plenty of progress. Boyfriend is also a threat if able to shrug off a lesser effort last time.

Boyfriend perhaps failed to do himself justice when behind ODONNELL'S ORCHARD at Newbury but the selection has stepped up again.

There was plenty to like about DRAGON LEADER's debut triumph over C&D in June and the son of El Kabeir could be up to defying a 4lb penalty. Nukanan, a half-brother to the precocious Kokachin, is a potential fly in the ointment and any market support would make Roger Varian's colt interesting. Gunfighter offered encouragement when third at Newbury last month and makes most appeal of the remainder.

DRAGON LEADER did well to overcome a pace bias to make a winning debut over C&D 2 months ago and has leading claims, though Gunfighter gets 4 lb from the selection and is highly respected following a promising Newbury debut. Nukanan is a very interesting newcomer.

Drying ground will suit DRAGON LEADER, who looked potentially quite useful when making a winning debut here and he can defy a penalty.

ZOUMOON has the experience edge and she sets a decent standard in this contest. James Ferguson's charge was a good second over 6f at Kempton last time and, if she's able to repeat that effort, the daughter of Zoustar would take the beating here. Star Music is feared most and James Doyle is an eye-catching jockey booking, while All Agleam is another debutant to be taken seriously.

Mostly newcomers, and the market should provide extra clues, but RINNOVATI and Star Music both stand out on paper, with preference for the former, a daughter of Churchill who fetched 6 figures as a yearling. Zoumoon has shown promise both starts and is another to consider.

Kempton runner-up ZOUMOON is tentatively selected in the hope her experience gives her enough of an advantage over the newcomers.

This looks like a good opportunity for RAQIYA to get off the mark at the second time of asking after running with promise when fourth over 6f at Newbury. Owen Burrows' filly was only beaten one and a quarter lengths on that occasion and she appears hard to beat here. Miss Idunn is related to some useful sprinters, so this trip is likely to suit, while So Logical heads the remainder.

RAQIYA is bred to be useful and her debut fourth at Newbury was full of promise. With that in mind, a step forward looks firmly on the cards and she will take some stopping. So Logical and Miss Idunn are a couple of interesting-looking newcomers.

It's difficult to see past RAQIYA after her most promising debut behind respected opposition at Newbury.

JOY CHOI was only beaten a head when third over C&D last time and, raised just 1lb in the ratings, she has a very good chance of getting her head back in front here. Firenze Rosa was a short head in front of the selection on that occasion before going on to score over 6f at Lingfield, but she's on much worse terms with the selection as a result. Atty's Edge completes the shortlist.

JOY CHOI has just the one win to her name but again ran well when third in a C&D handicap 12 days ago, edged out late on. Better off at the weights with the runner-up that day Firenza Rosa (won since), she could be the way to go, with Atty's Edge, who looked an unlucky loser himself at Bath 4 weeks ago, another firmly in the mix.

An open contest in which the hat-trick seeking AZAHARA PALACE gets the vote. She kept on well to score by a length and a quarter over this distance at Chepstow last month and a 3lb raised mark may not be enough to halt her progression. The unexposed Maremma is feared most on her handicap debut, while the four-timer hunting War Chant is just one other with claims.

AZAHARA PALACE followed up her Chepstow maiden victory under another positive ride on handicap debut at that venue 21 days ago, enjoying the run of the race but ultimately winning readily. She could well be up to defying a 3 lb rise in the weights and completing the hat-trick. War Chant comes here in search of the 4-timer and is feared, with Kracking and Maremma just 2 others to consider in a competitive affair.

A chance is taken on SEA SQUARED, who didn't appear to be unfancied when getting stuck in the mud on his handicap debut at Goodwood.

The unexposed ROGUE TORNADO recorded his best run to date when scoring over 1m4f at Pontefract last month. The son of Cracksman kept on well that day and shaped as though he can follow up, despite a stiffer stamina test and a 5lb raised mark. Manxman seems his biggest danger following an emphatic success over 2m at Nottingham most recently, even though he has to shoulder a 6lb penalty for that. Beat The Heat heads the remainder.

No surprise were 3-y-os to dominate this given ROGUE TORNADO and Manxman arrive here firmly on the up. The former promises to relish this step up in trip so is marginally preferred. Of the others, Social City can give it another good shot.
