14:00 Salisbury Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Blewburton, a comfortable winner at Leicester on his racecourse debut, merits respect under a penalty, while Cayman Tai appeals as a leading candidate following a couple of second-placed efforts. However, PIT BOSS shaped with promise on his first start over 5f at Yarmouth, keeping on well towards the finish. With that experience under his belt and upped to 6f, the son of Ardad could strike. Market support for the Roger Varian-trained Style King would make him of definite interest as well.

CAYMAN TAI stepped up on his promising debut when just denied at Windsor last week and can go one better at the main expense of penalised-winner Blewburton and likely newcomer Style King.

Preference is for CAYMAN TAI who has finished runner-up in both starts, including behind a potentially nice sort at Windsor last week.

14:32 Salisbury Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There was plenty to like about Arabian Sun's Goodwood debut, where he found only an experienced rival too strong having been short of room and shuffled back early on in the contest. Clive Cox's charge looks set to go well, but it is STRATUSNINE that shades preference. The Far Above colt caught the eye when staying on powerfully from off the pace on his debut at York last month and could prove hard to beat. Others to note include Yala and Canvas.

STRATUSNINE could hardly have been more of an eyecatcher when thundering home having been held back by greenness initially when runner-up in a York novice over this trip 17 days ago. He can build on the abundant promise displayed then and go one place better. Arabian Sun and Yala head up the dangers, ahead of Cairdeas.

The choice is STRATUSNINE who went into plenty of notebooks when flashing home to go down by a neck on his York debut.

15:02 Salisbury Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

REVENUE was able to take advantage of a sliding handicap mark when winning at Bath last time out, so a subsequent 5lb rise might not stop the son of Profitable from completing a double. Liege hasn't been able to find any immediate progress having been switched to handicaps in March, but he's not without a chance on his turf debut. Match Anthem, who finished a creditable second at Chelmsford last month, makes obvious appeal now sent handicapping.

MATCH ANTHEM matched the pick of his previous form when runner-up at Chelmsford (5f) 3 weeks ago and earns the vote to come out on top now handicapping back up in trip. Bath scorer Revenue is a live threat, whilst it would come as no surprise to see a better showing from Hot Front with blinkers refitted/back up at 6f and she also makes each-way appeal.

This can go to REVENUE (nap) who looks the safest option having returned to winning form at Bath 18 days ago. He can defy a 5lb rise.

15:37 Salisbury Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Thunderous Love returned a 25/1 winner on soft going here last month, with the favourite MISS STORMY NIGHT back in fourth. The latter had finished much closer when third at Bath before that, and Clive Cox's filly gets another chance back on a faster surface. The handicap-debutant Little Miss Magic is worth keeping an eye on with William Buick doing the steering.

Having shaped well when third on handicap debut at Bath, MISS STORMY NIGHT may have found the rain-softened ground against her when finishing fourth behind Thunderous Love over C&D 26 days ago. With forecast conditions set to be more to her liking here she could be worth chancing to come out on top having eased in the weights. Little Miss Magic and Melisende are others to consider.

Preference is for MELISENDE who ran well when second on her Yarmouth return and had excuses for her latest Kempton effort.

16:07 Salisbury Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

RAVISHING BEAUTY has shown promise on both previous starts and the return to this trip should suit Harry Charlton's filly. Both Amsterdam and Happy Chandler return to action with a shout on last year's form, while Roger Varian has trained two of the previous three winners of this, so Harmoniser is a newcomer to note. Perennial and Jodhpur Blue are other debutants to keep an eye on.

Market support for one of the newcomers would need to be viewed positively but RAVISHING BEAUTY readily surpassed the form she showed on her only start as a 2-y-o when an encouraging fifth on return at Bath 4 weeks ago and gets the narrow vote with further progress anticipated. Jodhpur Blue is a debutant to note, with Ed Walker's pair Amsterdam and Perennial others to monitor.

The vote goes to AMSTERDAM, whose 2yo effort has received several boosts. Ravishing Beauty is second choice.

16:37 Salisbury Maiden (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

STEEL TIGER has chased home two smart rivals in his short career to date and the son of Almanzor can go one better here. Liam Swagger was a place behind the selection last time, having finished ahead of Eben Zaabeel at Chester before that, while Crown Of India went close when third over a shorter trip here in May. Leicester Square showed some promise at Nottingham on his debut and is another to consider.

There was little to choose between STEEL TIGER and Liam Swagger when placed behind a smart prospect at Yarmouth 2 weeks ago and both should go well again in what looks an open maiden. Crown of India and Pagan Sun head the dangers.

The percentage call goes to CROWN OF INDIA, ahead of Pagan Sun in a competitive-looking maiden.

17:07 Salisbury Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This can go the way of PRATIGYA, who scored from a subsequent winner when getting off the mark over shorter at Wolverhampton last month. The step up in trip could eke out further improvement on her handicap bow, and the daughter of Decorated Knight is preferred to the recent Nottingham scorer Elladonna, as well as Quietness, who is of interest following a determined success at Windsor. Alhattan and Ciara Pearl have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.

XIOMARA was beaten fair and square by Elladonna at Nottingham three weeks ago but that was a highly promising handicap debut nonetheless, particularly given that she still looked rough around the edges. David Menuisier's representative is armed with a 4 lb pull and, moreover, she arguably possesses greater scope for improvement than that rival. Others with potential include Alhattan, who did well under the circumstances at Newmarket last time, and Quietness and Pratigya.

The vote goes to ALHATTAN who gives the impression there is a bigger performance in her.

17:42 Salisbury Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Turned out again relatively quickly after a determined success at Lingfield, REGAL ENVOY could have more to come off a 2lb higher mark, and with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle. Crimson Angel was second at the same venue last month and can give him the most to think about, along with Strike, who has had a short break since narrowly scoring at Windsor in April.

REGAL ENVOY returned to form when narrowly prevailing at Lingfield recently and he is taken to strike again having been nudged up just 2 lb. The 5-y-o has winning course form, plus the booking of Oisin Murphy adds to his appeal. Fellow last-time-out scorer Strike has to be feared, while Cooperation shaped pretty well on return at Newmarket and he is dangerous to discount. Crimson Angel will also be a threat if able to translate her all-weather form to turf.

The most solid option is REGAL ENVOY. Second choice is Crimson Angel.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
