8/15(+62%) | (1) Green Triangle 8/15, Twice-raced colt. 4/1, third of 13 in minor event at Leopardstown (7.2f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Stable having good spell. Bold bid expected. Two solid runs, including one over C&D, has plenty to bring to the table. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (11) (4/1 -45%) J'adore Chris |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (18/1 -100%) Boyne Valley |
18/1(-100%) | (10) Boyne Valley 18/1, Thrice-raced filly. Third of 12 in maiden at this course (7.4f, good, 25/1) 43 days ago. Respected. Tough task to reverse recent placings here with Green Triangle but solid place claims. |

150/1(-200%) | (9) Wish This 150/1, Once-raced gelding. Last of 11 in maiden at Navan (5f, good to soft, 200/1) on debut 56 days ago, slowly away. Significantly up in trip. 200/1 when last on debut at Navan (5f), albeit not disgraced either, all to do. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

66/1(-100%) | (12) Moonhall Lass 66/1, Once-raced filly. Twelfth of 21 in maiden at the Curragh (6f, good, 50/1) on debut 39 days ago, missing break. Up in trip. Missed the break on debut but in fairness stuck to her task quite well, still opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (8/1 +60%) Thebelmontgangster |

Dam lightly-raced half-sister to useful 1m-1½m winner Aktau out of useful winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner) Rare Ransom. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (13) (200/1 -203%) Onomatapeoi |
200/1(-203%) | (13) Onomatapeoi 200/1, Once-raced filly. Unpromising start when tenth of 13 in maiden (125/1) at Cork (5f, good to soft) on debut 42 days ago, never involved. Up in trip. Had plenty more in front than behind on debut at Cork, makes little appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (66/1 -371%) Tomarlo |
66/1(-371%) | (2) Tomarlo 66/1, Twice-raced colt. Tenth of 11 in maiden (16/1) at Listowel (6.3f, good) 30 days ago. Bred to have plenty of toe and slight step up in trip here far from looks in his favour. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (40/1 -264%) Your Call |
40/1(-264%) | (3) Your Call 40/1, 66/1, tenth of 11 in maiden at Navan (5.8f, good to soft) on debut 66 days ago. Gelded after. Up in trip. Rank outsider when never involved over 6f on debut, gelded in the interim, risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (5) (10/1 -11%) Let It Linger |
10/1(-11%) | (5) Let It Linger 10/1, Foaled January 17. 30,000 gns yearling, Dark Angel filly. Dam, French 11.2f winner, half-sister to smart 2-y-o 1m winner (stayed 1½m) Yaseer out of useful 1m winner (stayed 1¼m) Tadris. Sixth of 7 to Va Va Vroom in barrier trial at Naas in May. Newcomer from a shrewd source that have won this with a handy sort in the past, noteworthy. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
GREEN TRIANGLE could make it third-time lucky from a decent draw. He has posted two placed efforts over a similar trip at this track and in a valuable auction series race at Leopardstown. Paddy Twomey's juveniles are often primed to perform on debut, so Churchill filly J'adore Chris is respected. Tomarlo has the best draw in stall one and James Ryan takes 5lb off his back. He can improve on his third start for David Marnane. The 74-rated Boyne Valley, newcomer Let It Linger and Runninsonofagun (a place behind Green Triangle in fourth at Leopardstown) are others that could get in the mix.
GREEN TRIANGLE has made a good start with placed efforts at Roscommon and Leopardstown and can open his account. J'Adore Chris is an interesting newcomer, while Boyne Valley is also in with a shout.
Third time lucky looks likely for GREEN TRIANGLE. He has already beaten Runninsonofagun and Boyne Valley and can do so again

Behomebyhalfpast |
(1) (100/1 +0%)100/1(+0%) | (1) Behomebyhalfpast 100/1, Lightly-raced filly. 250/1, thirteenth of 15 in maiden at Limerick (7f, good) 10 days ago. Readily passed over. Moderate form so far in maidens, bred to want further; easily passed over. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (13) (9/4 -63%) Serious Notions |
9/4(-63%) | (13) Serious Notions 9/4, Fairly useful maiden. 2/1, might have needed run after 6 months off when below form sixth of 15 in maiden at Gowran (8f, good) 15 days ago. Pick of her 2-y-o form gives her sound claims if she can build on that here. Listed third at 2 but disappointing since; questions to answer but remains one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (8/1 -140%) Castanets |
8/1(-140%) | (3) Castanets 8/1, Gleneagles filly. Sister to 1½m winner Diamond And Gold, closely related to 9f winner Longing and smart 8.3f-1½m winner Astronomer and half-sister to winner by Dutch Art. Warrant a second look on debut. Related to some decent types; market best guide on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (5/2 +17%) Kailasa |
5/2(+17%) | (10) Kailasa 5/2, Thrice-raced filly. 7/4, couldn't quite match previous form despite again making the frame when third of 12 in maiden at Down Royal (7f, good) 32 days ago, no extra final 1f. Still, she rates one of the likelier types in this field. Solid form at this trip, seems sure to be thereabouts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (14/1 +30%) Go Girl Go |
14/1(+30%) | (9) Go Girl Go 14/1, Fair filly. Remains a maiden after 7 Flat runs. Respectable tenth of 16 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good, 25/1) 16 days ago, slowly away. Disappointing since Dundalk second last December; hard to see her making the frame. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (20/1 -67%) Sirene Success |
20/1(-67%) | (14) Sirene Success 20/1, Twice-raced filly. Ninth of 14 in maiden (80/1) at Leopardstown (7.2f, good to soft) 19 days ago. Should improve. Has shown a bit of ability in two runs so far but looks more one for handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (40/1 -233%) Clever Impulse |
40/1(-233%) | (4) Clever Impulse 40/1, Thrice-raced filly. Tongue strap on for 1st time, twelfth of 15 in maiden at Gowran (8f, good, 16/1) 15 days ago. Stable in good form and that first start for 7 months may well have brought her on. Needs to improve on maiden form shown so far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (12/1 -60%) Blue Poppy |
12/1(-60%) | (2) Blue Poppy 12/1, Blue Point filly who was given a considerate reappearance after 12 months off when ninth of 15 in maiden at Fairyhouse (6.1f, good to soft, 11/1) 33 days ago. Up in trip now but handicaps could well see her in a better light. Struggled in two 6f maidens so far, this trip should suit so potential improver. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (15) (40/1 -21%) Sweet Verona |
40/1(-21%) | (15) Sweet Verona 40/1, Make Believe filly. Ninth of 15 in maiden at Gowran (8f, good, 22/1) on debut 15 days ago, in rear and plugging on. Probably one for later on. Some debut promise behind a couple of these at Gowran; sure to improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (40/1 +0%) Fairy Wings |
40/1(+0%) | (8) Fairy Wings 40/1, Offered much more than first time up when seventh of 15 in maiden (200/1) at Gowran (8f, good) 15 days ago, keeping on from off the pace without landing a blow. Another likely type for handicaps. Last month's Gowran run was a definite step forward but more needed here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (150/1 -127%) Keave |
150/1(-127%) | (11) Keave 150/1, Mondialiste filly. Half-sister to 1¼m winner No Such Luck. 50/1, tenth of 15 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good) on debut 25 days ago. Cheekpieces on for 1st time. Likely longer-term project on that evidence. Beaten a long way on last month's Fairyhouse debut; cheekpieces tried but best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (250/1 -150%) Coruscate |
250/1(-150%) | (5) Coruscate 250/1, Ol' Man River filly. Showed only greenness when last of 13 in maiden at Limerick (8f, good to firm) on debut 20 days ago, very slowly away. Can only be watched. Behind throughout after slow start on recent Limerick debut when a 200-1 shot. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (6/1 +40%) Dakota Girl |
6/1(+40%) | (6) Dakota Girl 6/1, Sioux Nation filly. Showed more than on debut when sixth of 11 in maiden at Naas (8f, good, 10/1) 52 days ago, forced to switch over 1f out and keeping on. That unlikely to prove her limit for very good stable. Naas run was a step up on her debut effort; needs to improve again but possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (12) (250/1 -279%) Second Princess |
250/1(-279%) | (12) Second Princess 250/1, Twice-raced filly. 200/1, ninth of 12 in maiden at Dundalk (10.7f) 88 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Significantly down in trip. Two moderate AW runs, easily dismissed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (7) (250/1 -279%) Eccellente |
250/1(-279%) | (7) Eccellente 250/1, Once-raced filly. Seventeenth of 18 in maiden (125/1) at the Curragh (6.3f, good to firm) on debut 27 days ago, always behind. Always behind on recent Curragh debut; can only be watched for now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Ger Lyons saddled three winners over Irish Derby weekend at the Curragh and SERIOUS NOTIONS could be another for him. She had some notable placed form during her juvenile campaign and is entitled to come on from her sixth on seasonal reappearance at Gowran Park. Dermot Weld's Blue Poppy was due to run in an Oaks trial at Naas, but was found to be in season. She is highly likely to improve upon unplaced runs at Listowel and Fairyhouse. Kailasa is rated 8lb inferior to Serious Notions, however, she hasn't been beaten overly far in all three appearances to date. She could have fared better with the draw, though. Castanets is a newcomer to monitor in the market.
SERIOUS NOTIONS has become expensive to follow but it's possible she'll strip fitter for her reappearance run 15 days ago and the pick of her 2-y-o form gives her sound claims in a maiden lacking depth. She earns the vote ahead of Kailasa and Joseph O'Brien's newcomer Castanets.
Serious Notions hasn't delivered on her juvenile promise and KAILASA looks a more solid option on recent form at this trip

Serotonin |
(17) (40/1 -21%)40/1(-21%) | (17) Serotonin 40/1, First run since leaving Alan Richardson/off 11 months when twelfth of 14 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good, 22/1) 15 days ago, in rear and never dangerous. This ought to reveal more. Reserve 2. Plenty to find with some of these on recent Gowran comeback run; reserve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Bellick |
(18) (40/1 -21%)40/1(-21%) | (18) Bellick 40/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. 40/1, tenth of 14 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good) 15 days ago. Reserve 3. On a long losing run and remains opposable from 8lb out of handicap; reserve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (14) (20/1 -43%) Scarlet Dancer |
20/1(-43%) | (14) Scarlet Dancer 20/1, Temperamental sort. One win from 39 Flat runs. Second of 14 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good, 50/1) 15 days ago, leading briefly 2f out and keeping on. Possibilities if putting it all together again. Recent Gowran second whose mark is unchanged so has to be considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (5/1 -25%) Golden Days |
5/1(-25%) | (9) Golden Days 5/1, Respectable seventh of 16 in handicap (16/1) at Limerick (7f, good to firm) 20 days ago, denied a run over 1f out and noted finishing with running left. One to bear in mind. Eyecatcher under inexperienced 10lb claimer at Limerick so has to be on the shortlist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (15) (11/2 +31%) Leviosa |
11/2(+31%) | (15) Leviosa 11/2, One win from 25 Flat runs. 9/1, turned in best effort of the season when second of 12 in handicap at Limerick (8f, good) 10 days ago. One to consider for all her strike rate is an underwhelming one. Fine effort from out of the handicap at Limerick 10 days ago; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (14/1 -100%) Mark's One |
14/1(-100%) | (8) Mark's One 14/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Creditable fourth of 11 in handicap (16/1) at Limerick (8f, good to firm) 20 days ago, better placed than most. Remains early days and he may have more to offer. Didn't quite stay 1m latest; drop in trip could suit and potential for more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (12) (12/1 +52%) Rebecca's Girl |
12/1(+52%) | (12) Rebecca's Girl 12/1, Tongue strap on for 1st time, tenth of 17 in handicap (8/1) at Fairyhouse (6f, good) 18 days ago, left poorly placed. Back up in trip. Placed in C&D maiden last year and runs this term have been at 6f; could improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (13) (11/2 +54%) Trueba |
11/2(+54%) | (13) Trueba 11/2, 14/1, respectable third of 16 in handicap at Limerick (7f, good to firm) 20 days ago, running on. Worth a second look now he's back in the groove. Encouraging run at Limerick last month; down to a competitive mark so one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (20/1 +39%) Asisaid |
20/1(+39%) | (2) Asisaid 20/1, Thirteenth of 19 in handicap (9/1) at the Curragh (7f, soft). Off 8 months. Won on reappearance last season so fresh could be the time to catch him. Somewhat belated seasonal debut but don't rule out given his record fresh. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (8/1 -60%) Kinda Tiny |
8/1(-60%) | (7) Kinda Tiny 8/1, 9/1, creditable sixth of 13 in handicap at Listowel (8f, good) 30 days ago, staying on to be nearest at the finish. Others more persuasive. Listowel run encouraging; any rain would help her chances. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (28/1 -27%) Kool One |
28/1(-27%) | (10) Kool One 28/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 14 in maiden at Gowran (9.4f, good to soft, 125/1) 29 days ago, fading. Will hold more chance now handicapping back down in trip. Unexposed 3yo entering handicaps but opposable off this mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (33/1 -230%) Kami |
33/1(-230%) | (4) Kami 33/1, 33/1, twelfth of 14 in handicap at Sligo (5.7f, good to soft) 58 days ago. More needed if she's to figure stepping back up in trip. Sligo winner on soft ground last August but two runs this term poor; upped in trip here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (8/1 -100%) Pascalia |
8/1(-100%) | (5) Pascalia 8/1, Winner at Dundalk in February. Blinkered for 1st time, eighteenth of 22 in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good to soft, 11/2) 19 days ago, losing place 2f out. Claims of bouncing back and that rates distinctly possible with blinkers quickly discarded. Below-par on latest from wide draw; earlier form entitles her to respect though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (1) (12/1 -167%) Lauroline |
12/1(-167%) | (1) Lauroline 12/1, Consistent performer who ran respectably when fifth of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (7.2f, good to soft) 19 days ago, leading again briefly 2f out and weakening. Remains a maiden but not discounted in a wide-open affair. Below best latest under forcing tactics; tongue tie left off and poor draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (11) (100/1 -355%) Livin It Up |
100/1(-355%) | (11) Livin It Up 100/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 50/1, last of 20 in maiden at the Curragh (5.9f, heavy). Off 8 months. Back up in trip. Blinkers on 1st time. Makes handicap debut. Shaped okay on second of three maiden runs last year; blinkered on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (6) (20/1 -122%) Hale Bopp |
20/1(-122%) | (6) Hale Bopp 20/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2023. Respectable tenth of 22 in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good to soft, 22/1) 19 days ago. Others make greater appeal. Good AW form last winter but both turf runs this season leave him with something to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (3) (33/1 -83%) Field Of Honour |
33/1(-83%) | (3) Field Of Honour 33/1, 100/1, fourteenth of 15 in handicap at Naas (5.9f, soft). Off 11 months/back up in trip but only sustained market support behind him would make him of interest on debut for new stable. 1m winner in Britain but form for Denis Hogan poor; hard to make a case for. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The last time PASCALIA encountered 7f she obliged in Dundalk which gives her prospects here. She has been placed over further since and although she disappointed in Leopardstown, that may have been down to the first-time blinkers which are now discarded. Trueba was a solid third in Limerick and isn't on a bad mark with Wesley Joyce's 5lb claim factored in. Scarlet Dancer is a long-standing maiden in Ireland, but performed well in second in a quickly-run race at Gowran Park. Colin Keane is an eye-catching booking for Kami, while Leviosa and Mark's One are far from out of contention. Reserve Baalbec Beauty would have claims if getting a run.
GOLDEN DAYS shaped better than the bare result when midfield in a big-field Limerick handicap 3 weeks ago, denied a run over 1f out and noted finishing with running left. That marked her down as one to be interested in and she looks a live player. Trueba, Pascalia and Lauroline are others to consider in a competitive affair.
Preference is for LEVIOSA, a fine second at Limerick recently and who went close over C&D this time last year

50/1(-52%) | (2) Monzoon 50/1, Thirteenth of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (7.2f, good to soft, 28/1) 19 days ago. Easy to look elsewhere. Just 1-27 on turf and both runs this term don't inspire confidence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (40/1 -100%) Lisabetta |
40/1(-100%) | (8) Lisabetta 40/1, Seventeenth of 19 in handicap at Naas (8f, soft, 50/1) 64 days ago so has work to do. No show on Naas return in April; remains on a high enough mark. |

6th (6) (10/1 -11%) Manhattan Dandy |
10/1(-11%) | (6) Manhattan Dandy 10/1, C&D winner. Latest win at Leopardstown in April. Ninth of 14 in handicap (13/2) at Gowran (8f, good to soft) 29 days ago. Can make presence felt if back on song. Latest disappointing but definite claims on earlier form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (13) (5/1 +44%) Swiss Army Officer |
5/1(+44%) | (13) Swiss Army Officer 5/1, C&D winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2023. Creditable third of 14 in handicap (12/1) at Tipperary (7.1f, soft) 34 days ago. In the mix. C&D winner last year back to form latest so entitled to respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (15/2 -36%) Alex Belardo |
15/2(-36%) | (9) Alex Belardo 15/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Good second of 11 in handicap at Fairyhouse (6.1f, good to soft, 18/1) 33 days ago, taking time to get going. Can give a good account stepped up in trip. Fairyhouse second should appreciate this longer trip and same mark so definite chance. |

9th (15) (11/1 -57%) Tall Story |
11/1(-57%) | (15) Tall Story 11/1, Creditable fifth of 15 in handicap at Gowran (8f, good, 8/1) 16 days ago, slowly away. Remains a maiden after 36 Flat runs however. 36-race maiden hasn't been running badly off basement mark but remains opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (12/1 -33%) Purring Along |
12/1(-33%) | (12) Purring Along 12/1, 8/1, fair fifth of 14 in handicap at Gowran (8f, good to soft) 29 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time. Plenty to find on form. Not disgraced both starts this term but more needed and new headgear combination tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (40/1 -150%) Bobby K |
40/1(-150%) | (1) Bobby K 40/1, Below form ninth of 19 in handicap at Naas (8f, soft, 28/1) 64 days ago. Merits consideration if shrugging off latest effort. Comeback run in April just okay, top-weight opposable. |

12th (3) (33/1 +0%) Randall Poets Lass |
33/1(+0%) | (3) Randall Poets Lass 33/1, 18/1, twelfth of 15 in handicap at Gowran (8f, good) 16 days ago, slowly away. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Chance if rediscovering old form. Struggled so far in handicaps, cheekpieces now tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (7) (7/1 +13%) Sneddy Eddie |
7/1(+13%) | (7) Sneddy Eddie 7/1, 5/1, creditable fourth of 15 in handicap at this course (7.4f, good) 43 days ago. Needs considering. Beaten favourite over C&D in May; can't rule out though with Whelan back on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (14) (25/1 +24%) Above It All |
25/1(+24%) | (14) Above It All 25/1, Unreliable sort. Twenty one runs since last win in 2022. Twelfth of 14 in handicap at Dundalk (8f, 9/1). Off 9 months. First run for yard after leaving John McConnell. Mostly disappointing for John McConnell and debuts for new yard here; 2lb wrong. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ALEX BELARDO is less exposed than most and showed up well in second over a shorter trip at Fairyhouse. He didn't enjoy the clearest route, but it was a promising second foray into handicap company. The veteran Swiss Army Officer has to enter calculations. He held every chance approaching the final furlong in Tipperary before being beaten just under a length into third and remains on the same lowly mark of 49. Manhattan Dandy put in a below-par effort at Gowran Park, but was in the money on his last three visits to this track. Sneddy Eddie and Saffredi will have their supporters, while reserve Fastman would have decent claims if getting in.
Gavin Cromwell's SAFFREDI wasn't seen to anything like best effect when fourth at Down Royal last time and can prove his current mark to be a lenient one by opening his account here. Fairyhouse runner-up Alex Belardo should proved suited by this step up in distance so rates the main danger, although Swiss Army Officer, Sneddy Eddie and Gosford also enter calculations.
Plenty with chances with preference for the 3yo ALEX BELARDO who could be open to more improvement than most now upped in trip

1st (5) (6/1 -20%) Sumptuary Law |
6/1(-20%) | (5) Sumptuary Law 6/1, Lightly-raced winner. 11/1, career best when winning 13-runner handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good to soft) 19 days ago by ½ length from Alabama Calling, always holding on. 8 lb rise looks a tad harsh. 8lb rise for Leopardstown win will test her mettle but a filly going places at present. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (5/1 +29%) Gibbs Island |
5/1(+29%) | (6) Gibbs Island 5/1, 9/1, fourth of 7 in handicap at Down Royal (12.8f, good) 10 days ago. Enters the reckoning based on solid placed efforts behind Old Faithful (winner again since) at Naas and Navan prior to that. Not disgraced in Ulster Derby latest, big runs in defeat on two previous starts, respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (7/2 -40%) Leinster |
7/2(-40%) | (3) Leinster 7/2, Twice-raced winner. Won 14-runner maiden at Down Royal (10f, good, 5/4) 32 days ago, well on top finish. Improvement needed but there should certainly be better to come from this colt now that he makes the switch to handicap company. Still green when winning his maiden with plenty to spare, plenty left to come, feared. |

4th (11) (11/1 +8%) It'sonlyjustbegun |
11/1(+8%) | (11) It'sonlyjustbegun 11/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Second of 11 in maiden (12/1) at this course (10.3f, good) 43 days ago. Will need to raise her game now handicapping but she's unexposed and in good hands. Shaped well in a maiden here on third start, interesting now on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (11/2 +45%) Slurricane |
11/2(+45%) | (8) Slurricane 11/2, Lightly-raced winner. Career best when winning 10-runner handicap (5/1) at Killarney (8.1f, soft) 49 days ago, always holding on. Up in trip and worth a second look, despite going up 7 lb. 7lb rise for a narrow Killarney win; entitled to improve again and won't be far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (6/1 -71%) Masoun |
6/1(-71%) | (10) Masoun 6/1, Good second of 9 in handicap at Cork (8f, good, 9/2) 18 days ago, nearest finish. The winner followed up at the Curragh recently and, with this step back up in trip a plus, he's high on the shortlist. Sneaking up the handicap without coming up trumps, but in good heart, back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (14/1 -56%) Alabama Calling |
14/1(-56%) | (9) Alabama Calling 14/1, 11/1, very good ½-length second of 13 to Sumptuary Law in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good to soft) 19 days ago. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Chased home Sumptuary Law (gave 7lb) at Leopardstown, consistent and should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (18/1 -80%) Western City |
18/1(-80%) | (7) Western City 18/1, One win from 2 runs this year. 1/4, 2 lengths third of 5 to Gesture in handicap at Dundalk (10.7f), unable to sustain effort. Off 130 days and likely to find one or two too good. 1/4f to give the winner Gesture 8lb when third at Dundalk, nice turn at the weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (28/1 -155%) Sli Na Ghealai |
28/1(-155%) | (4) Sli Na Ghealai 28/1, 25/1, 22½ lengths seventh of 10 to Brilliant in Park Express Stakes at the Curragh (8f, heavy). Off 106 days and up in trip. Needs a couple of these to falter. Maiden and nursery winner at the back end of 2yo campaign, big ask latest, has her chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (25/1 -25%) Gesture |
25/1(-25%) | (1) Gesture 25/1, Two wins from 4 runs this year. Latest win at Dundalk in April. 14½ lengths last of 5 to Portland in listed race (25/1) at Leopardstown (12f, good) 26 days ago. Looks vulnerable under top-weight. Struggled in Listed class latest (1m4f); drop in grade and trip a help, sporting chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (25/1 -25%) Ameilya |
25/1(-25%) | (2) Ameilya 25/1, Thrice-raced winner. 8¼ lengths last of 7 to Wendla in Cornelscourt Stakes (33/1) at Leopardstown (8f, good to firm) 51 days ago. Up in trip for this handicap debut and appears to be on a stiff opening mark. 1m Maiden winner found it all too much in Group 3 company latest, first time beyond a mile. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LEINSTER was a ready winner over an extended 1m2f at Down Royal and appeals on handicap debut. He holds a Group 2 entry later this month which shows the regard he is held in. Sumptuary Law is going the right way after victories in Dundalk and Leopardstown, and has to be respected up in trip. Sli Na Ghealai found a Group 3 too hot in the Curragh but, prior to that, enjoyed clear-cut victories at Down Royal and Leopardstown. She is another up in trip. Gesture is well versed over a similar trip on the Polytrack at Dundalk, but giving weight away to this field isn't going to be easy. Alabama Calling is another to consider.
The form of MASOUN's Cork second 18 days ago has been well-advertised since by the progressive winner since and, with this step back up in trip a good move, he is taken to go one better here. Gibbs Island's latest effort wasn't one of his better ones but he is pretty consistent and should give another good account, while unexposed pair Leinster and It'sonlyjustbegun are interesting. Slurricane is also on the shortlist,
A chance is taken on LEINSTER adding to his Dundalk maiden win. He left a good impression that day and can hopefully build on it here

1st (9) (16/1 -14%) Out On Friday |
16/1(-14%) | (9) Out On Friday 16/1, Eleventh of 14 in handicap at Limerick (12.5f, good, 4/1) 10 days ago, doing too much too soon. Has fallen to a workable mark. Appeared to be finding his feet again when fourth at Fairyhouse but poor since at Limerick. |

2nd (2) (11/2 -65%) Slieve Binnian |
11/2(-65%) | (2) Slieve Binnian 11/2, 16/1, tenth of 12 in handicap at the Curragh (10f, good) 38 days ago. Something to find on form. Progressive on home soil last season, probably needed return and could give them a scare. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/1 -75%) Annexation |
7/1(-75%) | (4) Annexation 7/1, 1 win from 2 runs this year. Latest win at Gowran in April. Fifth of 16 in handicap (15/2) at Gowran (9.4f, good to soft) 29 days ago, unsuited by way race developed. Can make his presence felt. Not quite on it latest but won well previously, ground should suit and has to be feared. |

4th (6) (10/3 +33%) Bear Profit |
10/3(+33%) | (6) Bear Profit 10/3, Improved on recent efforts to win 15-runner handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good to firm, 11/2) 12 days ago, suited by way race developed. Stepping back in the right direction. Stylish win under today's rider at Leopardstown, will be well fancied to defy his penalty. |

8/1(+60%) | (11) Blackberry Jack 8/1, 20/1 and blinkered for 1st time, ninth of 14 in handicap at Limerick (12.5f, good) 10 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. No forlorn hope. Struggling to shed maiden tag and latest efforts far from suggest that will change here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (5/1 -25%) Theophilos |
5/1(-25%) | (3) Theophilos 5/1, 7/2, seventh of 10 in handicap at Leopardstown (12.8f, good) 26 days ago. Others more persuasive. Far from a winning machine but narrow course defeat on penultimate start is noteworthy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (12/1 -60%) Spy |
12/1(-60%) | (8) Spy 12/1, Has proved temperamental but comes here in good nick, fourth of 10 in handicap at Ballinrobe (9.7f, good) 8 days ago when left poorly placed. Weighted to go close. Can be a bit tricky at the start but decent on both previous visits here and not ruled out. |

8th (10) (10/1 +0%) Kodiac Prince |
10/1(+0%) | (10) Kodiac Prince 10/1, Thirteen runs since last win in 2023. 11/4, tenth of 15 in handicap at Gowran (8f, good) 16 days ago. Back up in trip. Enters calculations if shrugging off latest effort. Disappointing fav' at Gowran on the back of solid efforts, good form around here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (66/1 -164%) First Snow Moon |
66/1(-164%) | (1) First Snow Moon 66/1, First run since leaving S. Wattel when last of 8 in handicap (18/1) at Gowran (8f, heavy) on IRE debut 54 days ago. Up in trip. Hood on 1st time. Must improve. Weak in the market when down the field on Irish/stable debut at Gowran Park, hood added. |

33/1(-230%) | (7) Emeric 33/1, 10/3, last of 11 in claimer at Limerick (11.5f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Others appeal more. In good order in late winter at Dundalk but has far from fired the last twice back on turf. |

11th (12) (12/1 +0%) Golden Ash |
12/1(+0%) | (12) Golden Ash 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Very good third of 18 in handicap (22/1) at Galway (11.8f, heavy), slowly away. Off 8 months but can't be ruled out. Good effort on handicap debut when last seen 246-days ago, plenty more to come. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SLIEVE BINNIAN was unplaced in a much higher grade at the Curragh in May, but was beaten less than five lengths and the form of that race is working out very well. He enjoys an extended 1m2f and looks set for a big run. There is surely more to come from First Snow Moon on her second start in Ireland as she has some smart French form to her name. Bear Profit is markedly up in class, but his victory in Leopardstown can be upgraded as he had to overcome several issues throughout the race. Theophilos and Annexation are others chasing prize money.
Lots with chances but Charles Byrnes' SPY has slipped to an attractive mark and could prove the answer with the likely strong pace sure to see him in a good light. Leopardstown scorer Bear Profit heads the list of dangers, although a solid case can also be made for the likes of Out On Friday, Annexation and Loingseoir in this very open handicap.
Bear Profit will be hard to contain on recent evidence but GOLDEN ASH caught the eye when last seen out and is preferred

1st (7) (4/1 +56%) La Isla Mujeres |
4/1(+56%) | (7) La Isla Mujeres 4/1, Lope De Vega filly who scored twice for Ralph Beckett at up to 11f last season. Off 8 months, not seen to best effect on debut for new yard when 5¼ lengths fifth of 9 to Candleford in listed race at the Curragh (12f, good) 38 days ago. Possible she could step forward again. Dual winner for Ralph Beckett probably needed it on stable debut, but a bit to find. |

2nd (2) (18/1 +0%) Cristal Clere |
18/1(+0%) | (2) Cristal Clere 18/1, Useful gelding. Course winner. 10/1, creditable second of 7 in minor event at Gowran (9.4f, good) 16 days ago, no match for winner. Back up in trip now and work to do with a few here on these terms. Best win off a mark of 88, falls a few pounds short of what is required here. |

3rd (5) (8/1 -14%) Serious Challenge |

14/1(-56%) | (8) Snowcapped 14/1, Creditable 1¼ lengths third of 8 to Madame Ambassador in listed race (9/1) at Ayr (10f, good to firm) 41 days ago, running on. Worth another crack at this longer trip. Good effort at Ayr and should give them a tough time providing the ground does not ease. |

5th (3) (9/4 +59%) Deakin |
9/4(+59%) | (3) Deakin 9/4, C&D who ended last season on the up and has continued that theme this campaign, splitting a pair of next-time-out winners when runner-up at the Curragh (10f) in May. Creditable seventh of 19 in handicap at Royal Ascot (12f) 11 days ago and he remains one to be positive about. Duke Of Edinburgh 7th, solid run that and entitled to have a good shot at it. |

6th (1) (12/1 -71%) Chally Chute |
12/1(-71%) | (1) Chally Chute 12/1, Useful gelding who shaped as if still in good form when 5½ lengths fourth of 11 to Vischio in listed race (5/2) at the Curragh (12f, heavy) in November, needing stiffer test. Absent since and this run may well bring him on. Fav' when fourth on only previous venture into this class, absent 240 days. |

7th (4) (10/3 -90%) Raise You |
10/3(-90%) | (4) Raise You 10/3, Smart gelding. Off 20 months/hooded for 1st time, shaped as if retaining all his ability when fourth of 10 to White Birch in Alleged Stakes at this course (10f, heavy, 10/1) 73 days ago. One to be interested in returned to listed company. Group 3 fourth on return from a huge absence, classy sort ticks lots of the right boxes. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Joseph O'Brien's RAISE YOU showed he still retains plenty of ability when keeping on for fourth in a Group 3 at the Curragh in April. That was his first run in more than 19 months and it is worth remembering that he was a stayer who beat a former Irish St Leger winner in the Curragh a couple of years ago. Serious Challenge was a notable fourth behind the classy Kyprios in a Group 3 at Leopardstown in March. He doesn't lack stamina and is a major contender. Raise You's stablemate, Deakin, still has scope for improvement, while Chally Chute and Taipan have plenty of ability but have lengthy absences to overcome.
RAISE YOU confirmed he retains all his ability after a lengthy absence and shaped better than the bare result in the process when fourth in Group 3 company in April and he looks a serious player back at listed level. Stablemate Deakin was better than the bare result in a big-field Royal Ascot handicap 11 days ago and he's feared, as is Serious Challenge, who arrives in good form.
Raise You sets the standard but the second run back after a break is always a concern and TAIPAN is given the nod on his return

250/1(-213%) | (2) Casino Loutraki 250/1, Twice-raced colt. Twelfth of 13 in maiden (125/1) at Navan (10f, good to soft). Off 10 months. Up in trip. Tailed off in Curragh/Navan maidens last year. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
There should be a race on the Flat in TELECON. He has won twice over flights and was fourth in a Grade B handicap hurdle at the Punchestown Festival. His fourth in a maiden at Down Royal last month wasn't devoid of ability. Neptunes Staircase hasn't kicked on from three placed performances between October and April. He is back to a trip that he enjoys, though, and has to be respected. This trip is probably short enough for The Mediator, but he is in the hunt for a cheque. Consistent hurdler Cast A Spell switches to the level and is interesting, while Taymura could perform well on her first start since switching to Ken Condon.
ENDLESS PURSUIT didn't show much in a pair of bumpers but she shaped with some promise at Leopardstown on Flat debut so could be the answer in a very ordinary maiden. The Mediator is next best ahead of Neptunes Staircase.
Little strength in depth, NEPTUNES STAIRCASE sets the standard but will want some rain
Ths is the racecard key.
