The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ELZEM shaped with promise when fourth on his debut at the Curragh a week ago and may be able to step forward now. The Elzaam gelding stayed on to finish fourth then and this step up in trip looks an obvious move. Experience is always a help at this time of the year. Colin Keane chooses All Right By Me from the Ger Lyons-trained duo. The Bungle Inthejungle colt cost 25,000 euro as a foal and is a half-brother to five winners. Jessica Harrington's newcomer Lady O looks another to note in the market. The Australia filly cost 30,000 euro as a yearling and is a half-sister to the Group 2 placed Dark Rose Angel.
ELZEM looks the one to beat after a promising start at the Curragh 7 days ago. Lady O, All Right By Me and I Am Me are all very interesting newcomers who nned keeping an eye on in xthe market.
LADY O makes most appeal, from a family of 2yo winners but also likely to have the stamina for this trip. Her yard remains in fine form

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
PLAY IT AGAIN ZAAM was an easy winner at Gowran Park the other day and it's no surprise to see him out again quickly under a penalty. The Elzaam gelding pulled away to win by a wide margin five days ago and is set for a 13lb hike for that performance. That was on heavy ground and the predicted downpours on race-day should help. Boadicea Belle also comes here in winning form, having scored on the all-weather at Dundalk last month. It will be interesting to see if she can transfer that to turf now. Barnhill Rose, fifth behind the selection five days ago, likes it around here and could get closer now.
PLAY IT AGAIN ZAAM took a long time to get off the mark but he did it in fine style at Gowran on Wednesday and on that evidence, he's well-in under a penalty. Gosford and Boadica Belle are feared most.
A 7l winner on heavy at Gowran last week, PLAY IT AGAIN ZAAM (nap) is due to go up 13lb but races with a 7lb penalty today.

Makes handicap debut and worth noting if the market speaks in her favour as one of only two 3-y-os in the line up. The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
GOLDEN DAYS had some decent placed form at Dundalk over the winter and coming here off a short break she could strike again off this kind of mark. The Canford Cliffs mare is versatile ground-wise, having won on soft at Gowran Park last season. On Our Radar is another with placed form from the all-weather that has to come into calculations. The Elzaam gelding ran well over a mile at Dundalk when last seen in early February and this kind of trip looks ideal. Atbay has posted some solid efforts already on the turf this season and he should be thereabouts again off his basement mark.
A dual winner on turf last summer, GOLDEN DAYS was in good form on AW when last seen during the winter and he could be worth siding with to hit the ground running back from a break in a race lacking depth. On Our Radar, Notforalongtime and Atbay head up the list of threats.
A consistent mare on AW and turf, GOLDEN DAYS is still 3lb above her last winning mark but can be relied upon to run her race.

5th (1) (5/1 -50%) Orandi |
5/1(-50%) | (1) Orandi 5/1, Low-key start for present stable but got back to something near his French form when winning 20-runner handicap at the Curragh (7f, soft, 33/1) 7 days ago. produced to lead entering final 1f and doing it readily. 9th (13) (20/1 -25%) Rio Largo |
20/1(-25%) | (13) Rio Largo 20/1, 12/1, below form tenth of 21 in handicap at the Curragh (7f, heavy) 22 days ago. Latest run not his best but still considered as a dual 7f winner on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (40/1 -60%) Mile End |
40/1(-60%) | (6) Mile End 40/1, Below form eleventh of 21 in handicap at the Curragh (7f, heavy, 33/1) 22 days ago, never better than midfield. Mark has eased a little more but would need to see more before becoming of interest. Well held in two runs for this yard but the latest at the Curragh wasn't devoid of promise. |

20/1(+39%) | (8) True Statesman 20/1, Temperamental sort. 9/2, fourth of 7 in handicap at Kempton (8f). Off 103 days. First run for yard after leaving Charlie Johnston. Needs a couple of these to falter. Both wins for the Johnstons came at two; consistent though; bought for 11,000gns. |

15th (3) (18/1 +10%) Excuzio Joe |
18/1(+10%) | (3) Excuzio Joe 18/1, 20/1, eleventh of 13 in handicap at the Curragh (8f, heavy). Off 6 months. First run for yard after leaving Patrick Magee. Others appeal more. Three-time winner; quiet on last two runs; rain would help matters; stable debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Any rain would be a concern for May Night who ran out a cosy winner at Cork on Friday evening. That was his first success on turf, with his seven previous wins coming on all-weather surfaces, whereas ORANDI appreciates a bit of cut in the ground so the weather looks to be turning in his favour. He sprang a surprise when scoring at the Curragh a week ago but did it in good style and could still have a bit up his sleeve, despite an 8lb rise. Brains ran well when third on his return to the grass at Leopardstown last time and could be place material.
A winner at Chelmsford in March, MAY NIGHT followed up under a similarly positive ride when taking a 12-runner Cork handicap (1m) 3 days ago and he looks a big player turned out quickly in his hat-trick bid. Fellow last-time-out winner Orandi and Rocksbury Lad head the dangers, with Arch Enemy another to consider.
Orandi has an obvious chance but ARCH ENEMY was a closing third to him last week and the selection is better off at the weights.

Off 6 months but yard in good form and he sets the standard. Impressive maiden winner before a 10l defeat in a Group 3; retains potential. |

2nd (1) (12/1 +14%) Action Plan |
12/1(+14%) | (1) Action Plan 12/1, 22/1, career best when winning 9-runner handicap at Gowran (8f, soft) 19 days ago. Significantly up in trip and needs to improve again. Recent handicap winner who is rated a stone inferior to Naval Force on official ratings. |

3rd (3) (4/1 +11%) Neski Sherelski |
4/1(+11%) | (3) Neski Sherelski 4/1, Last of 5 in minor event (9/2) at Cork (10.2f, good to soft) 17 days ago, slowly away. That wasn't a bad effort in a deeper race than debut win. Debut winner and it was a good race in which he was last of five at Cork. |

4th (7) (6/1 +50%) Window Of Time |
6/1(+50%) | (7) Window Of Time 6/1, Twice-raced filly. Fourth of 14 in maiden at Dundalk (8f, 6/1), never nearer. Off 171 days. Significantly up in trip. Has to step up to trouble the best of these but it's still early days. |

5th (4) (17/2 +39%) Fine Point |
17/2(+39%) | (4) Fine Point 17/2, Thrice-raced gelding. 12/1, eighth of 9 in maiden at Dundalk (10.7f) 48 days ago. Hasn't found any improvement on his debut third at Leopardstown; quiet on AW return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (150/1 -88%) A Daughtersdelight |
150/1(-88%) | (6) A Daughtersdelight 150/1, Lightly-raced filly. Eleventh of 12 in maiden (150/1) at Navan (10f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Well behind Jack Spriggins at Navan and she has others to worry about; no form claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (2/1 -6%) Jack Spriggins |
2/1(-6%) | (5) Jack Spriggins 2/1, Promising type. Fourth of 12 in maiden at Navan (10f, good to soft, 6/5) 16 days ago. Stable in good form. Worthy of consideration with promise of more to come. Ran beneath market expectations when a weakening fourth of 12 in a Navan maiden. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
NAVAL FORCE won a decent maiden in Killarney on his debut last September before finding things a bit tougher in Group 3 company on his second outing at Leopardstown the following month. The handicapper has him on a mark of 93 and this looks like a nice opportunity on his seasonal debut. Similarly Neski Shereiski won on his debut, at Dundalk, before finishing last of five in a decent little conditions race won by Bremen at Cork last month. He's another son of Churchill and looks the danger. Action Plan won a Gowran Park handicap last time and could be the one for the trifecta with the maidens in the field looking up against it.
NAVAL FORCE found Grade 3 company a bit too much at Leopardstown during the autumn but had created a favourable impression when winning on debut prior to that so he could be the way to go on reappearance. Jack Spriggins shaped pleasingly on his return to action and is feared most, ahead of Neski Sherelski.
Naval Force and Neski Sherelski are feared but there's a strong suspicion that JACK SPRIGGINS is better than he's shown so far.

7/2(+0%) | (7) Sixpack 7/2, 6/1, good fourth of 17 in handicap at Gowran (9.4f, heavy) 20 days ago. Up in trip and represents in-form yard. He didn't enjoy the clearest of runs when a keeping-on fourth at Gowran. |

18/1(-100%) | (6) Unterberg 18/1, Latest win at Dundalk in January. 8/1, tenth of 11 in handicap at Dundalk (12f) 52 days ago in what was his hat-trick bid. Best on the AW; something to prove on turf and off this mark. |

11th (10) (33/1 -32%) Wajaaha |
33/1(-32%) | (10) Wajaaha 33/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. Eleventh of 13 in handicap hurdle at Naas (16.5f, soft, 50/1) 27 days ago. Exposed 9yo whose last effort of note was a close third over 1m2f on the AW in November. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A deterioration in the predicted good going is entirely possible with plenty of rain in the forecast. In any case it is likely that SIXPACK will encounter improved underfoot conditions to what he faced in a couple of starts last month. That, allied to a step-up in trip, promises to suit the Sea The Moon gelding well. His rider, Rory Mulligan, is an apprentice we're likely to get increasingly familiar with as the season progresses, and his 2lb allowance here is a help too. Victorious on the level in his time in England, Milteye (tongue-strap added) should be fit from a hurdling campaign and that gives him an edge on some of these opponents. Duke Of Leggagh and Scott Lang are among the others to consider.
A tongue tie has enabled DUKE OF LEGGAGH to get back on track this season and he can gain a deserved success. Scott Lang returns to the Flat on a good mark so has to be feared, with Sixpack a potential improver upped in trip.
Johnny Murtagh's horses are running well and SIXPACK looks dangerous off his reduced mark. His latest effort can be upgraded.

No doubt connections would like to get a Flat win into their consistent bumper mare, ROYAL HOLLOW, and she may be equipped to deal with these rivals. As a successful dual purpose operation, the Slattery team will be well aware as to their representative's ability to cope with the drop down in trip. They obviously feel she has sufficient pace for the task at hand, and indeed going through some of her performances from the past, she could excel at the mile and a half. Unassuming under-performed last time. It would be folly to dismiss her now though, with a tongue-strap re-applied. In the Champion Chase-winning colours of Sally Rowley-Williams, Stariam is another to consider.
STARIAM left her debut form well behind when second in a Clonmel maiden in September and open to further improvement, she looks the way to go on return in a maiden lacking depth. Unassuming is similarly lightly raced and may emerge as the chief threat.
A weak maiden. UNASSUMING was an eyecatcher last season and there were excuses for her reappearance effort.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
