14:00 Redcar Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

REX CARVER wasn't an expensive purchase when bought for 14,000gns as a foal and the three-parts brother to Staxton, a very useful performer for Tim Easterby who made a winning debut as a juvenile, may well be the type who knows his job on debut. Dolce Vitta has the advantage of a run under her belt when third at Ascot earlier in the month, while Star Allure and Marry The Night are others capable of being in the mix.

DOLCE VITTA made a bright start behind a promising filly at Ascot and could be hard to beat with improvement likely over this longer trip. Newcomers Black Tide and Rex Carver are feared.

This can go to DOLCE VITTA, who showed promise behind an impressive odds-on winner at Ascot and sets the standard on that form.

14:30 Redcar Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Archie Watson landed a division of this contest 12 months ago and may well do the same with newcomer SEA OF DIAMONDS. She is bred to be precocious, being out of a French juvenile winner, and the yard have shown that they are more than capable of readying one for their debut. Wipeout is one for the shortlist with her half-brother, Chief Mankato, a winner on his racecourse bow last season, while Magic Micky is also considered.

Not a strong-looking maiden and newcomers could come to the fore, SEA OF DIAMONDS, We've Got This and Wipeout all appealing fillies on paper.

Preference is for SEA OF DIAMONDS, who is out of 6f 2yo winner and represents a yard that won a division of this race last year.

15:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

James Fanshawe's string have begun to hit full stride over the past 10 days and the Newmarket handler saddles an interesting runner in the shape of MILLITERRIES. All of her juvenile runs suggested she would benefit from stepping up to a mile and an opening mark of 70 is unlikely to hold her back. Sovereign Queen was no match for an easy winner on her return at Newcastle, but she is expected to have more to offer in handicap company. Summit and Purple Martini appeal most of the remainder.

Having dropped below her last winning mark, PURPLE MARTINI chased home a next-time-out scorer at Musselburgh 3 weeks ago and now looks ready to go one place better. 3-y-os Summit and Milliterries head the opposition.

This looks tricky but the vote goes to MILLITERRIES who showed clear promise as 2yo and is open to more progress on her handicap debut.

15:30 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Michael Dods has landed two of the previous three renewals of this contest and with that in mind, a chance can be taken on CUBAN STORM. The Havana Grey gelding has been too keen to do himself justice over 6f of late, so it might be that he shows his true colours now dropped to the minimum trip. Pinpoint, a winner at Ayr from a 4lb lower mark three weeks ago, makes obvious appeal, while others to note include Dandy Fitz, Showboated and Whogoesthere.

PINPOINT was suited by a strongly-run race when getting back to winning ways at Ayr last time and, with a decent pace forecast in this contest, he can follow up off what remains a workable mark. Dandy Fitz showed improved form on his latest outing and could still have more to offer in first-time headgear, with Whogoesthere also in the mix.

There are more races to be won with Pinpoint but DANDY FITZ showed his first sign of ability last time and is a likely improver.

16:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PISANELLO was a shade unfortunate not to have finished closer, having been denied a clear run in the Thirsk Hunt Cup last time out. He's been competing at higher levels of late, too, and a drop into class 4 company, the scene of his latest success, could pay dividends. Arctic Mountain has few miles on the clock and he might be able to take a step forward on his second start following wind surgery. Dawn Of Liberation lurks on a dangerous mark and should not be underestimated, while Elim, who returns from over a year off the track in search of her hat-trick, is also noted.

The returning ELIM looked a useful handicapper in the making last spring and gets the nod, with confidence in her chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Arctic Mountain is another lightly raced sort who could have his best days to come and is feared most ahead of Shaladar, a creditable second on his Beverley reappearance.

The vote goes to RON O who is 2-3 over C&D, with both wins coming on good to firm ground.

16:30 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A tricky puzzle to solve with the tentative vote going to ODETTE'S BEAU. The son of Churchill made little impact across his three qualifying runs but he is bred to be better than a mark of 52, and today's handicap bow looks a more suitable assignment. Teddy Brown finished a creditable fourth over the mile at Kempton last month and must be considered eased 1lb in the ratings. Socialise heads the remainder.

HOWARD'S CHOICE improved and was unlucky not to finish closer when fifth at Ripon 10 days ago and, in a thin race, he's worth a chance to get off the mark. Teddy Brown also arrives on the back of a solid performance and Socialise is a definite player.

The vote goes to HOWARD'S CHOICE, who didn't get much luck when a close fifth at Ripon and is a big player if he can build on that.

17:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Mayo County has reached the frame on each of her last two outings on the all-weather and she now makes her first start on turf, so it would be no surprise to see her get involved. However, preference is for GEORGIE WOOSTER, who has failed to fire in all three starts to date, but his prices have justified those efforts. Tim Easterby's three-year-old could be seen in a different light on his handicap bow and he gets the vote, while Viridian is another to note in first-time blinkers.

GEORGIE WOOSTER is bred to be useful and he's appealing now pitched into a handicap having caught the eye on his latest start over this C&D. Mayo County is second choice ahead of Tantomile, while Ribble River and Georgie Wooster's stablemate Kode Secret also have each-way claims.

Plenty have possibilities but MAYO COUNTY gets the vote ahead of Georgie Wooster and Ribble River.

17:30 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THE CRAFTY MOLE had Believitanducan (third) four lengths behind in this grade at Wetherby last time and he remains unexposed over this trip. David O'Meara's three-year-old is likely to have plenty more to offer and he can confirm that form, despite being 5lb worse off with his reopposing rival this time around. Little Venice takes a big step up in distance off a 1lb lower mark than her most recent third at Beverley and she is another to watch out for.

THE CRAFTY MOLE relished the step up in trip when getting off the mark at Wetherby just under 3 weeks ago and he's taken to confirm his superiority over Believitanducan, who made much more impact than previously on handicap debut when 4¼ lengths back in third. Rubio de Oro needs to leave a shocking effort at Wolverhampton earlier in the month behind, but he rounds off the shortlist switched to turf for the first time.

Most of these have plenty to prove but THE CRAFTY MOLE (nap) won over 1m6f last time and is open to more progress at staying trips.
