13:05 Nottingham Maiden (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There has been no stopping Ralph Beckett of late and El Matador, a half-brother to eight winners, is sure to be a force on his racecourse bow. However, it is the Frankel colt OPPORTUNITY who gets the verdict. The 475,000gns purchase looks the part and his pedigree suggests forecast conditions will be no issue. Love Beach finished fourth over C&D on his debut three weeks ago and is likely to be wiser this time around.

OPPORTUNITY is bred in the purple and gets the nod to make a winning debut before market clues. El Matador is another debutant to note hailing from the thriving Beckett stable, while Love Beach was getting the hangs of things late on his debut over C&D 3 weeks ago and is likely to improve.

This looks ripe for a newcomer and the pick may be EL MATADOR for Ralph Beckett, whose 2yos have been going so strongly.

13:35 Nottingham Handicap (Class 4) 8f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The form of ASTEVERDI's recent Goodwood third has worked out well and Alice Haynes' three-year-old can go in from an unchanged rating. Shaladar makes significant appeal back on the grass, having failed to ever truly be involved over a mile at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago. Let's Dream has few miles on the clock and he should not be overlooked.

DASHING ROGER hasn't been firing but goes well in these conditions and came good around the same time last year, so he's worth a chance to capitalise on a mark that has slipped. Asteverdi and Shaladar should both give their running, so they're obvious dangers.

Asteverdi should run well but preference is for another 3yo in LET'S DREAM, who should be of renewed interest after his break.

14:08 Nottingham Listed (Class 1) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Grey's Monument got up late to score in a similar contest over 7f at Redcar earlier in the month. The return to further will undoubtedly aid his cause but, while another bold bid looks assured, SPARKS FLY is preferred. David Loughnane's charge exploited an ease in grade to win at Saint-Cloud recently and with conditions to suit, she can follow up in receipt of 5lb from the former. Al Mubhir and Qirat are far from out of this either.

Ralph Beckett looks to hold the key to this listed race, with GREYS MONUMNENT taken to land a third win at this level at the expense of stablemate Qirat. Sparks Fly is another who knows what it takes to win in listed company and should also have a say on ground which suits her so well.

It's pretty tight among four of the older horses but slight preference is for the 4yo fillies SPARKS FLY and Miss Cantik.

14:38 Nottingham Stakes (Class 4) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FIREBLADE is a progressive gelding based on his neck defeat over 1m4f at Ascot a few weeks ago. Closing on the winner all the way to the line that day, this extra test of stamina will likely suit the son of Frankel and he's also proven on soft ground. The selection's stablemate Faifa has more to prove on the likely going, but Mr Hampstead looks a bigger threat back at this level, having struggled in both the Derby and the Queen's Vase since filling third in a maiden at Chester in May.

FIREBLADE bettered his debut form when runner-up at Ascot and, with further progress on the cards, he's fancied to get the better of stablemate Faifa, who has achieved a bit more to this point. Volakes is also of interest with improvement expected.

Cracksman's brother FIREBLADE looked tailormade for this test last time out and it's the once-raced Volakes who is feared most.

15:08 Nottingham Handicap (Class 3) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The nine-year-old MAKANAH may not be the force of old, but still looks capable of winning off his current rating having gone close on testing going at Leicester last time. Another bold bid is anticipated from Julie Camacho's sprinter, while Blind Beggar has to enter calculations after finishing runner-up over course and distance last time. Changeofmind has been keeping better company since placing at Hamilton in August and could also go well.

MAKANAH has been in good form and handled tough conditions well once again when second at Leicester last time, so he's marginally preferred to Blind Beggar. Fantasy Master has a solid course record, so he's worthy of consideration, too.

A 0-95 in name only and veteran MAKANAH (nap) may hold a class advantage over the field. His latest Leicester second was a fine effort.

15:38 Nottingham Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COLLUSION produced a career-best effort on his return to action when hitting the crossbar over 6f at Yarmouth eight days ago and he competes off the same mark. James Tate's three-year-old could have plenty more to offer on only his second handicap start and looks the one to beat. Smooth Silesie has occupied the runner-up berth on the all-weather the last twice and provided she can transfer that form to turf, she could have a say. Wrestling Revenue completes the shortlist.

COLLUSION left his qualifying form trailing in his wake when runner-up on handicap debut at Yarmouth a week ago and from the same mark, he's hard to get away from. Smooth Silesie has been kept busy this season but regularly gives her running, with Albegone another to consider.

The vote goes to the unexposed 3yo COLLUSION, who found improvement when going close on his handicap debut at Yarmouth last week.

16:08 Nottingham Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ISLE OF WOLVES may have been worth more than the winning margin suggests at Redcar on his latest outing. Harriet Bethell's eight-year-old only has a 3lb higher mark to contend with and he could be the one to beat. Dogged hasn't been far away the last twice and is in the mix again, for minor honours at least. Conditions will suit Contrast and Serena Brotherton is an interesting booking.

ISLE OF WOLVES seems well suited by very testing ground so shades the vote over penalised-winner French Martini, who's significantly down in trip. Dogged looks best of the others.

Several have claims but the vote goes to the resurgent ISLE OF WOLVES, who has won under Hannah Dring in two of his last three runs.
