(2) Ancient Wisdom 2/1, €2,000,000 yearling who made an impressive winning debut at Haydock (7f) before following up in workmanlike style on the July Course (7f, good) 15 days later. Seemed beaten on merit when third in Ascot listed event on most recent outing but that form is proving strong and will be suited by 1m.
Relinquished his unbeaten record at Ascot but in a Listed race that's worked out a dream.

(4) Chief Little Rock 7/2, Confirmed debut promise when getting up close home in 1m maiden at Leopardstown in August. Built on that when second in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh (1m) 3 weeks ago and should progress further.
Doesn't do much in a hurry but he was second in a Group 2 at the Curragh last time.

(1) Ambiente Friendly 16/1, Gleneagles colt who made a successful debut (hooded) in 8-runner maiden at Leicester (7f, good) 19 days ago, well on top finish. That form looks nothing out of the ordinary, but it was still a highly encouraging start for a stable that rarely gets first-time-out winners.
This looks a big ask after winning at Leicester just 19 days ago.

(5) Orne 25/1, Acclamation colt who knew his job when making a winning start in a 7f Kempton novice 22 days ago. The proximity of the fourth, who'd shown little previously, raises some questions about the solidity of that form, but he's open to improvement nonetheless.
This represents a huge rise in class from winning a novice on the AW.

(6) Per Contra 8/1, Overcame inexperience to make a winning debut at Chepstow (7.1f) before completing a simple task under a penalty at Ffos Las (7.4f). Still far from the finished article and sure to go on to better things.
Two straightforward wins at minor tracks; has considerably more on his plate here.

(3) Arabic Legend 2/1, Dubawi colt who overcame inexperience to make a winning debut in a 7f novice on the July Course. Took a big step forward despite still looking rough around the edges when second to another promising sort in a listed event at Salisbury and seems sure to progress further.
Put in his place in a Salisbury Listed last time but is entitled to improve plenty more.

(7) Starliner 40/1, Didn't need to improve on his previous placed efforts to get off the mark in 5-runner maiden at Listowel (7.1f, soft) 25 days ago, digging deep. This requires more.
Placed in three maidens (7f/1m) before making the breakthrough from the front at Listowel.

ANCIENT WISDOM was unfortunate to bump into two high-class rivals, including the subsequent Group 1 winner Rosallion, when filling third place in a Listed event over 7f at Ascot in July. The son of Dubawi is sure to relish this step up in trip and he looks to be the one to beat. However, Chief Little Rock is capable of giving the selection plenty to think about following his second in the Beresford at the Curragh last month. Arabic Legend will need to improve on his second at Salisbury last time but he cannot be discounted, while Per Contra and Orne are also noted.

An interesting renewal of this Group 3. ARABIC LEGEND finished with more to give behind a similarly promising rival in a listed event at Salisbury back in August and left the impression that was merely scratching the surface with regards his potential, so he's very much of interest now upped further in grade. Ancient Wisdom seemed beaten on merit at Ascot last time, but that form couldn't have worked out much better and, with the step up to 1m sure to suit, he's feared most.

From a yard that has done so well in this race and with his Ascot third such strong form, ANCIENT WISDOM has plenty going for him.
