LTO Selection:

14:00 Newmarket Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CHEEKY BLIMEY wasn't beaten far into fourth at Leicester on debut and it wouldn't take a great deal of improvement for him to get his head in front here. Marco Botti's colt is likely to know more for the experience and this looks like a good opportunity to shed his maiden tag. Skilled Master and Empire Of Light appear to be the biggest dangers after also running with promise first time out.

CHEEKY BLIMEY showed ability when fourth of 15 at Leicester on debut and is the clear pick on form in what looks a weak novice for the track. George Scott has saddled 3 winning 2-y-o newcomers this season so Cracksman-gelding Octet may emerge as the biggest threat.

Empire Of Light is open to improvement on his second start but CHEEKY BLIMEY sets the standard after his fourth of 15 at Leicester.

LTO Selection:

14:35 Newmarket Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Dashing Panther belied long odds when scoring over this distance at Newbury, but he may be vulnerable after a 5lb rise for such a narrow success so the nod goes to REINA DEL MAR. Ed Walker's top-weight has been given a chance by the handicapper having been dropped 3lb following her fifth at Windsor last month and she can take full advantage. Ayr runner-up Whatacracker should also be thereabouts.

Cases can be made for a few of these, but preference is for REINA DEL MAR, who has seemingly been building up her fitness after a long absence and Ed Walker's 5-y-o can double her tally down to a career-low mark. Whatacracker ran well but was no match for a thriving rival at Ayr earlier this month and he may have to settle for silver again, while Allo Al Khawaneej and Damascus Steel can battle out minor honours.

The 3yo WHATACRACKER promises to be suited by 1m4f and he earns the vote ahead of handicap newcomer Allo Al Khawaneej.

(3) Fox Master 6/1, Made a successful debut at Newcastle in January. Placed in 6f handicaps on turf on his last 2 starts and his lightly-raced profile provides hope for better still.
Went close at Leicester latest and this lightly raced sort is open to further improvement.
LTO Selection:

15:10 Newmarket Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CROW'S NEST arrives here seeking a hat-trick after victories at Hamilton and, most recently, at Bath over 5f and this looks like a decent opportunity to continue his winning sequence. George Boughey's charge makes his handicap bow and this opening mark of 82 appears workable. Fox Master should also be thereabouts after just being denied off this rating at Leicester last month, while Lingfield runner-up Fierce heads the remainder.

If PREMIERE BEAUTY comes on for last month's Haydock reappearance run she might be the way to go. Fierce will be a threat if in the same form as when second at Lingfield last week, while the William Buick-ridden Crow's Nest will likely be popular on the back of two novice wins this month.

The unexposed filly PREMIERE BEAUTY reappeared with a promising third at Haydock and is preferred to Fox Master

Has shown considerable promise on both starts and she's firmly in calculations.
LTO Selection:

15:45 Newmarket Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Spring Dawn has shown plenty of promise in both career starts on the Rowley Mile, occupying the runner-up berth twice, and she must be of interest if transferring that form to the July Course, but SATIRICAL is taken to get the better of her. The daughter of Kingman didn't really stay a mile at Newbury on her reappearance and is worth another chance dropping back to 7f. Glistened is out of Group 3 winner Spangled and warrants a market check on her racecourse bow.

Preference is for CROWNING, who made an encouraging return at Yarmouth earlier this month and remains open to improvement. Spring Dawn and Satirical look the likeliest dangers.

Having been denied a clear run when third at Yarmouth a fortnight ago, CROWNING is the pick ahead of Godolphin's Spring Dawn.

Right back on track when third in Britannia at Royal Ascot a week ago and should land this if the race doesn't come too soon.
Fine third at Royal Ascot last week and he'll be tough to beat if reproducing that form.
LTO Selection:

16:20 Newmarket Handicap (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

URBAN SPRAWL was able to outrun odds of 50/1 to finish third in the Britannia at Royal Ascot last week and there is likely more to come from Charlie Johnston's colt off the same mark. The drop from a mile shouldn't bother him, especially given he scored over this trip at Goodwood, albeit off 5lb lower, last month. Chola Empire has been consistent this year and is feared most, while the class-dropping Final Watch completes the shortlist.

URBAN SPRAWL has been getting better this season and, having finished third in the Britannia off this mark last week, he should be well up to resuming winning ways if the race doesn't come too soon. Chola Empire is feared most ahead of Mitrosonfire.

The 3yo URBAN SPRAWL was a fine third in the Britannia at Royal Ascot last week and could be tough to beat today off the same mark.

LTO Selection:

16:55 Newmarket Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

WILD SIDE has improved significantly this season, completing a hat-trick at Redcar last week, and George Boughey's filly is taken to extend her sequence, despite a 6lb penalty. Man Of Eden has been a beaten favourite on his last couple of starts, but the application of first-time blinkers is likely to aid his cause. Others worth considering are Gulmarg and Shigar.

WILD SIDE has been thriving this year, completing her hat-trick in good style at Redcar last week, and she can score again in her current form. Man of Eden has shaped well at Goodwood on his last 3 starts and could be the biggest threat with blinkers now applied, while Hafeet Alain is capable of getting involved as he drops in grade.

The progressive 3yo WILD SIDE (nap) made it 2-2 in handicaps with a ready win at Redcar and can defy a penalty to land the hat-trick.

(3) At The Double 12/1, Won 3 times last season but essentially looked thoroughly unwilling when last of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (16.3f, good to firm) 28 days ago and has plenty to prove now after such an abject display.
Three handicap wins last summer; tailed off on final run last term & same story on return.

(5) Wannabe Brave 12/1, Appealed as a very interesting staying handicapper after winning at Kempton in November but hasn't quite kicked on as expected, just a respectable effort when fourth of 8 in handicap (5/1) at Doncaster (14.5f, good to firm) 26 days ago. Now below last winning mark but others are preferred.
Lightly raced on turf but best efforts thus far have been on AW.

(7) Three Dragons 8/1, Winner at Wolverhampton in November before running a creditable third of 9 having a rare turf outing at Beverley (12.1f, good to firm) 29 days ago. Hasn't stood much racing in recent seasons but he's unexposed at this trip and merits respect.
Returned from break with close third at Beverley and he's one to be interested in.

(1) Byron Hill 7.5/1, Has slipped in the weights and ran better than for a while dropped into this grade when second of 4 in handicap at Pontefract (17.1f, good to firm) 17 days ago. Cheekpieces replaced by blinkers and has the benefit of Buick on board, so looks to hold solid place claims again.
Big step back in the right direction at Pontefract and he's a possible contender.

(4) Social City 7.5/1, Ended a long losing run with a first turf success at Lingfield (16.3f, good to firm) 19 days ago. Can be competitive again from a 3 lb higher mark.
Won at Lingfield last time and has gone up just 3lb; can give another good account.

17:30 Newmarket Handicap (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CAPONE has improved with each run this season and arrives following a comfortable success at Chester. The son of Nathaniel was given a 5lb rise for that display and it would be no surprise to see him make it back-to-back victories. Social City returned to turf with a victory at Lingfield earlier in the month and commands respect, along with Byron Hill, who may improve for the application of first-time blinkers.

CAPONE has built a thoroughly positive profile since returning from another lengthy absence and a 5 lb rise in the weights shouldn't be enough to stop him following up his recent Chester success. Three Dragons remains unexposed as a stayer and is most feared ahead of last-time-out Lingfield winner Social City and last year's victor Dereham.

Having won in good style at Chester recently, CAPONE can defy a 5lb rise and follow up. Last year's winner Dereham is feared most.
