5/4(+64%) | (1) Cross The Tracks 5/4, Course winner. Latest win here in March. Creditable second of 11 in handicap (12/1) at this C&D 44 days ago. Shortlist material. Good progress the last twice, picked off only late in better C&D race latest; good claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

12/1(-50%) | (8) Wren Officer 12/1, C&D winner. Latest win here in April. Creditable third of 14 in handicap at this C&D (7/1) 9 days ago. Not taken lightly. Two Class 6 wins over C&D this year; solid 3rd latest; up in weights/class; vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/2 -35%) Mr Wonderful |
9/2(-35%) | (2) Mr Wonderful 9/2, Thrice-raced maiden. Seventh of 8 in maiden at Sandown (5f, good to soft, 9/2). Off 9 months. First run for yard after leaving Richard Hannon. Makes handicap debut. Looks well treated on his Newbury third last summer; gelded prior to stable/h'cap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (8/1 +0%) Bulmer Bank |
8/1(+0%) | (9) Bulmer Bank 8/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 10/3, seventh of 10 in nursery at this C&D. Off 6 months. Hood on 1st time. Others more persuasive. Prominent in the market for two nursery runs in the autumn; unexposed; hooded for return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (18/1 -80%) Swordplay |
18/1(-80%) | (4) Swordplay 18/1, 8/1, seventh of 8 in nursery at Pontefract (6f, good to soft). Off 7 months. Makes tapeta debut. Must improve. Hamilton win as a 2yo but not obviously ahead of her mark now switched to AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (20/1 -67%) She's A Gambler |
20/1(-67%) | (5) She's A Gambler 20/1, 2 from 2 as a juvenile but only sixth of 8 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f, 22/1) on return 14 days ago. 2-2 on turf as a 2yo; 22-1 and well beaten on last month's h'cap debut; still early days. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (18/1 -13%) Infinity Blue |
18/1(-13%) | (7) Infinity Blue 18/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 12/1, sixth of 9 in nursery at Windsor (6f, good to soft). Off 6 months. Makes tapeta debut. First run for yard after leaving Andrew Balding. Didn't progress for A Balding as a 2yo; sold 37,000gns and gelded; needs a personal best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (8/1 +33%) Tierney |
8/1(+33%) | (3) Tierney 8/1, Bit below form fifth of 10 in nursery at Nottingham (6.1f, heavy, 8/1). Off 7 months. 6f nursery winner last summer but didn't kick on afterwards; vulnerable to improvers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (12/1 -71%) Oakland Princess |
12/1(-71%) | (10) Oakland Princess 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Good sixth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (9/2) 9 days ago. Engaged 14.55 Nottingham Saturday. Had no luck on her recent handicap debut (C&D); open to further progress. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
BUZZ BOX, who dead-heated over course and distance in January, is appealing back at this trip after another good effort over the minimum distance here last time out and should have more to give from just 3lb higher. Allotted a favourable draw, the selection can sit handy as events unfold and he may prove too progressive for the likes of fellow course winners Wren Officer and Cross The Tracks.
CROSS THE TRACKS was an excellent second in class 2 over C&D 6 weeks ago and can resume winning ways back down in class. In-form Wren Officer is next best ahead of the progressive Buzz Box.
Oakland Princess is better than she showed here last time but MR WONDERFUL is preferred on this stable and handicap debut.

Dam once-raced sister to very smart winner up to 7f Garswood. Well-related newcomer but has a fair standard to aim at & perhaps one for the longer term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (9) (10/3 +49%) Storm Star |
10/3(+49%) | (9) Storm Star 10/3, Night of Thunder colt. Dam winner up to 7f (Sceptre Stakes and 2-y-o 6f winner). Interesting newcomer. Dam a Stewards' Cup and Group 3 winner; starts out at a realistic level; one to consider. |

16/5(-28%) | (3) Jungle Land 16/5, €180,000 yearling, Kodiac gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart 6f/7f winner Fresh and 5.7f/6f winner Temple Bruer. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner. 11/8, second of 5 in maiden at Ayr (6f, good) on debut 10 days ago. Should improve. Didn't justify market confidence on debut ten days ago but shaped well amidst inexperience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (13/2 +0%) Nazionale |
13/2(+0%) | (7) Nazionale 13/2, €90,000 yearling, Ten Sovereigns colt. Half-brother to very smart 9f-10.5f winner Via Sistina, from the family of Kingsgate Native. 10/1, showed plenty of ability despite looking very green early when third in 7f Kempton novice. Only fifth faced with very different conditions at Doncaster since. Promising debut; better than the result at Doncaster last time too; interesting down to 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (4/1 -20%) Treasure Time |
4/1(-20%) | (10) Treasure Time 4/1, Better for debut when close second of 8 in novice event at Kempton (7f, 15/2), keeping on well. Third has since boosted form so he's a player. Off 7 months. Gelded after debut and shaped much better when 2nd at Kempton (7f) in October; unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (7/2 +53%) Naepoint |
7/2(+53%) | (6) Naepoint 7/2, €28,000 yearling, 50,000 gns 2-y-o, Blue Point colt. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart 6f winner Lightning Moon. Promise amidst greenness on Wolverhampton debut 202 days ago; can do much better this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (100/1 -52%) Port And Starburd |
100/1(-52%) | (11) Port And Starburd 100/1, Twice-raced filly. Sixth of 7 in novice event at Hamilton (5f, good to soft, 33/1) 7 days ago. Modest form in two 5f runs 370 days apart; handicaps more suitable after this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (25/1 -25%) Novation |
25/1(-25%) | (8) Novation 25/1, Lightly-raced gelding. Sixth of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW, 5/2). Off 129 days. Makes tapeta debut. Sold from George Boughey 3,500 gns in February. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Promise over 5f at two; beaten fav on h'cap debut in January; vulnerable on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (16/1 -167%) Moon Man |
16/1(-167%) | (5) Moon Man 16/1, Thrice-raced gelding. 9/4, third of 5 in maiden at Ayr (6f, good) 10 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. 2 promising 6f runs at Southwell before lesser turf run (behind Jungle Land); headgear now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (125/1 -25%) Fiona's Ridge |
125/1(-25%) | (1) Fiona's Ridge 125/1, Kodiac gelding. Closely related to useful 6f-1m winner Honiara and 11.5f-2m winner Summer Eve. Dam 5f-6f winner. Bred to be useful but he looks best watched on this belated debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
This appears to be another good piece of placement by William Haggas as the twice-raced TREASURE TIME bids to gain a first career success. The selection filled the runner-up spot in a Kempton novice when last seen and, given the third has since advertised that form with a win and now sits on a mark of 85, the son of Time Test could be a cut above the opposition. Jungle Land looked promising at Ayr 10 days ago and goes on the shortlist along with potential improver, Midnight's Dream.
JUNGLE LAND couldn't justify favouritism at Ayr on debut but he still showed plenty to finish a clear second and is fancied to go one better. Naepoint caught the eye when third at Wolverhampton in October and is a potential threat along with well-bred newcomer Storm Star.
A few potential big improvers are on show and NAZIONALE is tentatively preferred to Treasure Time and Jungle Land.

1st (1) (13/8 +71%) Sea Legend |
13/8(+71%) | (1) Sea Legend 13/8, Low-mileage 4-y-o who ran respectably when third of 6 in minor event at Naas (10f, good) on final start for J. A. Stack when last seen 12 months ago. Gelded ahead of return/yard debut and he'll be of interest if the market speaks in his favour now handicapping. Hooded 1st time. Makes stable debut after a year off; has shown considerable promise in light Irish career. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (9/1 -38%) Jean Baptiste |
9/1(-38%) | (2) Jean Baptiste 9/1, Seventeen runs since last win in 2022. 25/1, very good second of 14 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good) 13 days ago, headed final 1f and keeping on. That was his first start for 7 months and no surprise to see him give another good account. On a long losing run but good second at Ayr on reappearance and also effective here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (16/1 -60%) Percy Willis |
16/1(-60%) | (8) Percy Willis 16/1, Course winner. Latest win here in March. Fifth of 7 in handicap at Southwell (14.1f, 6/1) 14 days ago. Back down in trip. His wins have come over further but he likes it here and might not be far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (18/1 -80%) Molinari |
18/1(-80%) | (10) Molinari 18/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. Bit below form seventh of 14 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good, 14/1) 13 days ago, not knocked about. Should be sharper given that was his first start for 7 months. Continues to drop down the weights but this 7yo has a regressive profile. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (15/2 +53%) Bohemian Breeze |
15/2(+53%) | (6) Bohemian Breeze 15/2, Latest win at Wolverhampton in November. 14/1, bit below form seventh of 13 in handicap at Musselburgh (12.5f, good to soft) 21 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Has dropped below his last winning mark but he needs to raise his game. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (22/1 -120%) Sense Of Worth |
22/1(-120%) | (9) Sense Of Worth 22/1, 12/1, seventh of 12 in handicap at Thirsk (8f, heavy) 33 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Return to AW rates a likely plus and no surprise to see a better showing. In good form on Tapeta (including C&D) before last month's turf flop; can be in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (4/1 -20%) My Little Queens |
4/1(-20%) | (7) My Little Queens 4/1, 6/4, career best when winning 8-runner handicap at Hamilton (11.1f, good to soft) 7 days ago, leading on bridle 2f out and drawing clear. Definite claims under a penalty if arriving here in same form. Smooth win at Hamilton last Sunday and effective over C&D; key player under 5lb penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (15/2 +6%) Fearless Bay |
15/2(+6%) | (4) Fearless Bay 15/2, C&D winner who confirmed he retains plenty of ability on the back of 18 months off when seventh of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f, 25/1) 17 days ago, eased late having been snatched up final 1f. Possible he can build on that now. Good AW strike-rate (including C&D win); could build upon recent positive comeback run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (16/1 -14%) Roll It In Glitter |
16/1(-14%) | (3) Roll It In Glitter 16/1, Successful on 2 of his 3 starts as a 3-y-o but looked rusty and never figured on the back of 9 months off when twelfth of 14 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good, 5/1) 13 days ago. This should reveal more. 2-3 during truncated campaign last season; disappointing on return but not written off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (25/1 -651%) Abbey Gardens |
25/1(-651%) | (5) Abbey Gardens 25/1, Built on debut promise when winning 8-runner novice here (1m) in November and not disgraced under a penalty when third at Southwell (7f) later that month. Changed hands for 22,000 gns in December and type new yard do well with in handicaps. Market should guide. Lightly raced 1m course novice winner; has potential now up in trip on h'cap/stable debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Sea Legend posted some respectable form during his time in Ireland and has to be of interest with a hood applied on stable debut for the James Fanshawe yard. Abbey Gardens has also switched yards since she was last seen and is worth a betting check for a shrewd operation. However, there are some wily characters in opposition this time, with none appealing more for a bit of value than SENSE OF WORTH, who shades preference returning to the all-weather.
MY LITTLE QUEENS capitalised on her reduced mark and justified good support in the process when readily landing an 8-runner Hamilton handicap 7 days ago and she could well be worth siding with to follow up under a penalty. Sea Legend is an interesting runner on yard/handicap debut following an absence, with Abbey Gardens and Jean Baptiste others worth a look.
Having bolted up at Hamilton last Sunday, MY LITTLE QUEENS is taken to defy a 5lb penalty. She has run well over this C&D in the past.

1st (7) (9/2 -29%) Natzor |
9/2(-29%) | (7) Natzor 9/2, Good second of 7 in handicap (16/5) at Hamilton (8.3f, good to soft) 7 days ago, challenging last ½f and keeping on. Return to this longer trip worth exploring and he's one to consider. Has kept on well when going close over 1m on first two starts for this yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (11/2 +0%) Ludo's Landing |
11/2(+0%) | (8) Ludo's Landing 11/2, Creditable fourth of 10 in handicap (6/1) at Chelmsford City (10f) 17 days ago, running on. Consistency hard to knock on AW this year and he's another in the mix. Has made the frame on all four runs this year; every chance he'll be thereabouts once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (10/1 -100%) Prince Achille |
10/1(-100%) | (10) Prince Achille 10/1, 3-time C&D winner. 2 wins from 3 runs this year. Career best when winning 10-runner handicap at this C&D (3/1) 50 days ago, winning cosily having showed a good turn of foot. Steps up in class now but possibilities again in present groove. Did it a shade cosily when completing C&D double last time and he holds solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (12/1 +0%) Real Terms |
12/1(+0%) | (3) Real Terms 12/1, C&D winner. Latest win at Southwell in March. Sixth of 7 in handicap (9/2) at Thirsk (12f, heavy) 33 days ago, dropping away over 2f out. Needs to bounce back returned to this surface but that is distinctly possible. Won at Southwell in March and excuses the next twice; could come back with a big run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (22/1 -120%) No Recollection |
22/1(-120%) | (9) No Recollection 22/1, 25/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time in this code, second of 4 in handicap at this course (12.4f) 16 days ago, no extra final 100 yds. Needs to build on that now. Second of four here recently when back from break; not guaranteed to back that up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (9/1 +10%) Chantico |
9/1(+10%) | (6) Chantico 9/1, Ran best race yet for present stable when second at Bath (10.2f, heavy) last month. Disappointed when last of 9 at Pontefract (10f) 11 days ago and connections opt for the refitting of a visor now. Flopped just 11 days ago but went close prior to that and is unexposed at today's trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (7/2 +40%) Yeoman |
7/2(+40%) | (2) Yeoman 7/2, Respectable fourth of 11 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW) 38 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Back up in trip. On a handy mark judged on the pick of 3-y-o efforts and is one to bear in mind. Engaged 1.15 Lingfield Saturday. Three wins on Wolverhampton Tapeta last year; could play leading role. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (13/2 -8%) Jack Sparowe |
13/2(-8%) | (5) Jack Sparowe 13/2, Dual winner at up to 11f last term and he ran well returning from 5 months off when fifth of 14 in handicap at Windsor (10f) 4 weeks ago, staying on to be nearest at the finish. Should continue in form. Two wins last year; promising reappearance & could be set for another productive campaign. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (11/1 -10%) Anjo Bonita |
11/1(-10%) | (1) Anjo Bonita 11/1, Made a bright start for this yard last term, winning handicaps at Hamilton/York prior to a good third at first-named venue (8.3f) on final outing in October. Revised mark demands that bit more but she returns to action with her yard amongst the winners. Did very well after joining this yard last summer; could go well on AW/seasonal debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (12/1 +0%) Furzig |
12/1(+0%) | (4) Furzig 12/1, C&D winner. Seventeen runs since last win in 2022. 22/1, respectable fourth of 13 in handicap at Musselburgh (12.5f, good to soft) 21 days ago, not ideally placed. On a reduced mark but on a losing sequence and the drop back in trip isn't an obvious plus. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Natzor has filled the runner-up spot on both starts for the David O'Meara yard and is likely to go well once again off the same mark as his most recent effort at Hamilton. However, he could come out second best to ANJO BONITA, who has been victorious on two of her last three outings and she gets the vote to make a winning return to action. Furzig is another to keep an eye on.
NATZOR cemented the positive start made for David O'Meara when finishing a good second at Hamilton 7 days ago and, worth another crack at this longer trip on that evidence, he shades the vote to come out on top. Ludo's Landing and Jack Sparowe are others to consider, along with the thriving Prince Achille. Yeoman would also need factoring in if taking up this engagement.
The step back up in trip could be just what NATZOR needs to post a first win and he earns the vote, with Prince Achille feared.

1st (3) (5/1 +0%) Chaturanga |
5/1(+0%) | (3) Chaturanga 5/1, Won 6f Redcar maiden and 7f Haydock novice on first 2 starts. Produced a laboured effort when fifth of 13 in handicap (33/1) at Newmarket (8f, good) 26 days ago. Up in trip. Makes tapeta debut. Cheekpieces back on. Others preferred. Fifth of 13 on handicap debut at Newmarket (1m) was step back in right direction; AW debut. |

2nd (5) (17/2 +6%) Alpen Power |
17/2(+6%) | (5) Alpen Power 17/2, Improved when third Chelmsford City (10f, 9/1) on penultimate outing but below form meeting more testing ground when sixth of 7 in handicap at Doncaster (10.2f, soft, 9/1) 16 days ago. Others make greater appeal. His top two runs were a win and close 3rd on Chelmsford AW; ran poorly on turf latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/4 +31%) Mafnood |
11/4(+31%) | (2) Mafnood 11/4, 6/1, good second of 7 in handicap at Doncaster (10.2f, soft) 16 days ago, running on. Makes tapeta debut. Sound place claims again. Won Haydock novice last August and runner-up in two of his four handicaps since, on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (20/1 -344%) Cloudy Skye |
20/1(-344%) | (6) Cloudy Skye 20/1, Promise when third on first 2 outings and likely unsuited by very testing ground when well-held sixth last time. Remains capable of better now handicapping after 7 months off. This move up from 7.4f looks interesting for her seasonal, handicap and AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (4/1 -20%) Rocket Warrior |
4/1(-20%) | (4) Rocket Warrior 4/1, Won at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in March before following up in 14-runner handicap at Chelmsford City (10f, 15/2) a fortnight later. Up another 5 lb but seems straighforward and should go well again. AW handicap wins at Wolverhampton (9.4f) and Chelmsford (1m2f; 5lb higher today) in March. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (10/3 +17%) Monsieur Melee |
10/3(+17%) | (7) Monsieur Melee 10/3, Lightly-raced maiden. 8/1, creditable fifth of 12 in handicap at Sandown (10f, good to soft) 16 days ago, nearest finish after meeting trouble. Makes tapeta debut. Shortlist material. Staying-on fifth of 12 at Sandown (1m2f, good to soft) 16 days ago; makes AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (10/1 +9%) Curran |
10/1(+9%) | (1) Curran 10/1, Won minor events over C&D and at Pontefract last season. Ran no sort of race in handicap at Doncaster last time, stopping quickly having led until 3f out, so has something to prove now. Chance seemingly depends on whether soft ground was to blame for last two outings. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
MAFNOOD was beaten five lengths into second on his return to action at Doncaster last month and he could take a step forward from that effort. Richard Hannon's gelding remains on the same mark and may find the improvement needed to go one better. The main threat might be the hat-trick seeking Rocket Warrior, who went in by a length at Chelmsford in March and it would be no surprise to see him feature. Of the remainder, Cloudy Skye makes the most appeal on her handicap debut.
MONSIEUR MELEE showed plenty to be positive about at Sandown last time and Jedd O'Keeffe's gelding is fancied to get off the mark at the chief expense of the hat-trick seeking Rocket Warrior. Mafnood can complete the placings.
Rocket Warrior bids for a hat-trick on the AW but there are other intriguing options, including Monsieur Melee and MAFNOOD.

13/8(+54%) | (7) Fairbanks 13/8, 11/2, creditable sixth of 14 in handicap at Thirsk (12f, heavy) 22 days ago. Should remain competitive. Should be sharper after last month's Thirsk return and was progressing fast last summer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (12) (18/1 +0%) Soowaih |
18/1(+0%) | (12) Soowaih 18/1, Course winner. Respectable fifth of 14 in handicap (20/1) at Ayr (10f, good) 13 days ago, nearest finish. Back up in trip. Can make presence felt. 1m winner here for R Varian last October; fair form for new yard but this looks too tough. |

3rd (2) (10/1 +0%) Charging Thunder |
10/1(+0%) | (2) Charging Thunder 10/1, Thirteen runs since last win in 2022. Twelfth of 14 in handicap at Thirsk (12f, heavy, 28/1) 22 days ago. Makes tapeta debut. Has dropped to a good mark and should be much closer to form this time. Dropped down the weights but didn't offer enough encouragement on last month's return. |

80/1(-220%) | (9) Cockalorum 80/1, Sixth of 8 in handicap (28/1) at Ripon (9.8f, heavy) 24 days ago. Up in trip. Others make more appeal. Well beaten on Ripon reappearance and this trip has looked to stretch him in the past. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (7/2 -40%) Aerospace |
7/2(-40%) | (4) Aerospace 7/2, Unexposed for his age and made it two from two for this yard when landing a 7-runner handicap here last month, edging ahead late on. Longer trip shouldn't be a problem and boasts strong claims of completing the hat-trick. 2-2 for new yard after lengthy absence; bred to relish today's longer trip; obvious claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (33/1 -136%) No Surrender |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (20/1 -100%) Legendary Day |
20/1(-100%) | (5) Legendary Day 20/1, C&D winner. Sixth of 8 in handicap at Ripon (12f, heavy, 11/1) 15 days ago, barely adequate test. Stiffer track should play to his strengths. Conditions to suit and on a winning mark; can leave recent reappearance behind him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (12/1 -50%) La Pulga |
12/1(-50%) | (6) La Pulga 12/1, 6/1, won 4-runner handicap at this C&D 16 days ago, responding well. Dangerous if allowed an easy lead having gone up only 3 lb. C&D win last month came in a small field; more required off today's 3lb higher mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (5/1 +55%) God Of Thunder |
5/1(+55%) | (11) God Of Thunder 5/1, Latest win at Lingfield in March. Creditable sixth of 18 in handicap (12/1) at Newbury (10f, good) 22 days ago. Back up in trip. Not ruled out. Two 1m4f AW wins since November; solid turf run latest (1m2f); one of the likelier ones. |

11th (10) (80/1 -142%) El Picador |
80/1(-142%) | (10) El Picador 80/1, First run since leaving Keith Dalgleish when fifth of 7 in handicap (50/1) at Kempton (16f). Off 6 months. Down in trip. Others have achieved more. Rarely sighted since 2022 and he returns from another break with plenty to prove. |

12th (1) (100/1 -525%) Mr Le Philosophe |
100/1(-525%) | (1) Mr Le Philosophe 100/1, 20/1, third of 5 in juvenile hurdle at Kelso (16.2f, soft) 49 days ago, going in snatches. Fairly useful on the Flat. More required back on the level. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
Fairbanks was a shade disappointing when only managing sixth on his return at Thirsk, but he is entitled to improve off a 1lb lower mark and with the booking of Oisin Murphy to aid his cause. However, AEROSPACE looks the way to go. The son of Sea The Stars is unbeaten in two outings for Archie Watson and may have been worth more than the winning margin suggests over 1m2f here last time. The runner-up did the form no harm by running well at Chester during the week and, with the likelihood of more to come up in trip, the five-year-old is the one to be on. Recent C&D winner La Pulga is another to watch out for.
AEROSPACE found marked improvement to double his tally for this stable here last time and there's more progress in him, so he gets the nod in the hat-trick bid. La Pulga is a big danger if able to dictate and his stablemate Artisan Dancer should be on the premises as usual.
Aerospace should relish this longer trip but he may have to give best to the unexposed and progressive 4yo FAIRBANKS.

Cheekpieces back on. Others make more appeal. Course winner; low-key stable debut at Newmarket last month; others look more solid. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
Three-time C&D scorer ZIP lost little in defeat when runner-up in a class 2 event at Haydock recently and compensation could await the veteran on this return to the all-weather. The biggest threat appears to be Eldrickjones, who returned to action with a close-up second at Southwell last month, while fellow in-form rivals Swiss Ace and Longlai aren't easily dismissed, in what looks an open contest.
ELDRICKJONES made a pleasing seasonal return when runner-up at Southwell last month and is fancied to go one better here. Zip has a good course record and arrives after a sound effort last time, so also merits consideration alongside Longlai.
Eldrickjones is solid after a promising return but LONGLAI appeals most after his good second at Chelmsford.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (20/1 -100%) Strike Red |
20/1(-100%) | (5) Strike Red 20/1, C&D winner. 7/1, career best when winning 20-runner handicap at the Curragh (6.3f, soft), driven out. Off 9 months. Deserves respect if he can return in the same form. Conditions to suit & last seen beating big field in Ireland last July; absence the worry. |

Plenty to find on form. Showed 6f was fine in Bahrain this winter; looks on a tough mark back in Britain though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (14) (28/1 -133%) It Just Takes Time |
28/1(-133%) | (14) It Just Takes Time 28/1, Course winner. Creditable second of 16 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, soft, 17/2) 15 days ago. Well treated on last year's best efforts and worth a chance to go one better than that encouraging reappearance. Down in the weights and made a good start to the year at Doncaster; this may be too tough. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
Although KING'S LYNN was unable to capitalise on a declining mark at Goodwood recently, that second-placed effort marked a return to form. Andrew Balding's charge makes plenty of appeal racing off the same rating and a fifth career success could be on the horizon. Last month's Newbury third Bosh won't mind this switch to Tapeta and the five-year-old should give another good account of himself. Misty Grey and Dare To Hope are also worth a closer look.
IT JUST TAKES TIME won twice off higher marks last year and made a most encouraging return when a smooth-travelling second at Doncaster 15 days ago, so he gets the marginal vote to go one better in a wide-open race. The well-treated King's Lynn is a player having returned to form last time and Bosh can't be ignored in his current mood.
Batal Dubai is solid but DARE TO HOPE (nap) looks one to follow and a 4lb rise for his Beverley win underestimates him.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
