13:52 Navan Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SHIMMY JIMMY showed good improvement on his second start to fill the runner-up spot in Listowel. The form has a decent look to it as the winner then just failed by a head in Naas. Runninsonofagun faced a stiff task in Tipperary, but his opening fourth in Leopardstown was a fair effort and the horse in third has since landed a maiden in Roscommon. Newcomer Admiral Halsey is a half-brother to a 14-time winner no less, while Invincibletomorrow and Sloan are others worth noting on their first starts. Dandy Magic was a satisfactory fourth on debut at Naas last month and can progress with that experience banked.

DANDY MAGIC is a rare juvenile runner for her ultra-shrewd yard but she showed plenty on debut and with improvement likely, she's very much the one to beat. Cheekpieces may help Shimmy Jimmy and he's a threat, along with Adrenaline Rush.

This looks like a good opportunity for SHIMMY JIMMY to step up a place following a second placing at Listowel

14:27 Navan Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BETSEN has attained a rating of 102 without winning, but could rectify that here. His mark shot up when he was headed on the line over C&D in a Listed race in April. That was a very notable performance as he was only rated 85 going into that contest. He should have the necessary speed for this assignment and gets first-time cheekpieces. Emerald Banner has posted no less than four runner-up finishes in sprints and another solid effort is on the cards. Desert Power showed ability in a debut second over 5f at this track and has since come home third at Cork. Mehmar was formerly useful, but has a massive absence to overcome.

The drop back to 5f was against BETSEN last time and judged on his runner-up prior to that, he'll take plenty of stopping down markedly in class. Emerald Banner and Speedwood are the obvious threats.

If reproducing the form of his Listed second over C&D, BETSEN should be too good for these rivals.

15:02 Navan Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LAND LOVER has a sprint victory at Sligo in May in the book and his third place at Fairyhouse last month stands up to scrutiny. That was a higher-grade contest and the horse behind him in fourth came out and delivered in a handicap for fillies rated up to 90. Mark's One hasn't been making an impression at the business end of 7f and 1m races, but is of interest on this drop back to a sprint trip. Posh Maisie ran well for a long way before finishing sixth at Naas and could build on that. Grand Citadel, Rappell and Woohoo (in her first handicap) are all in contention for prize money.

This drop back in trip is an interesting move for GRAND CITADEL, who shaped well when fourth in a 9-runner Cork handicap over a mile last monh. She could be the answer off an appealing mark. Mark's One has returned to form the last twice and he is feared most ahead of Mark's One and Land Lover

Wide open with a tentative vote going to \bPOSH MAISIEp who looked to be getting the hang of things at Naas a week ago

15:37 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BLANC DE NOIR has been far from outclassed in better company and can contend in this handicap. He is only 2lb higher than when winning at the Curragh last summer. Rathbranchurch battled hard to win in Bellewstown and his record in Navan (only once out of the money) brings him right into contention. Kevin Coleman won this race last year and has prospects with Only Spoofing. He showed a welcome return to form when a close third behind Rathbranchurch in Bellewstown. Fair Taxes is up 8lb for winning by a neck off the front in Fairyhouse, but he has only had four runs so there should be more in his locker.

Plenty arrive with claims and it may pay to take a chance on BLANC DE NOIR. Not for the first time this season he shaped better than the bare result when sixth at Limerick 6 days ago and he can confirm his present mark a workable one. Last-time-out winners Rathbranchurch and Fair Taxes are others to consider, with Only Spoofing another to bear in mind having run his best race of the campaign at Bellewstown 9 days ago.

It could pay to side with SUNDAY SOVEREIGN who missed the break at Bellewstown and may reverse form with the winner, third and fourth

16:10 Navan Stakes 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The 101-rated THE EQUATOR is very much advantaged by these weights and this looks a good opportunity for him to double his career total. After he shed his maiden status at Leopardstown in April, he has finished fourth in a Group 3 at the Curragh and fifth in the Group 2 Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot. Sumptuary Law is rattling through the grades having won her last three races to earn her shot at this company. Going Remote displayed a good attitude when winning the Ulster Derby at Down Royal and is going the right way. Inner Success and Naval Force cannot be ruled out.

SUMPTUARY LAW is thriving and is taken to get the 4-timer up with this trip likely to suit her better than The Equator, who is surely more of a stayer. Inner Success could also feature.

A chance is taken on the sole filly in the race SUMPTUARY LAW, who is on a roll and has conditions to suit

16:45 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This trip really seems to suit ORIOLE. She was successful over it in Leicester and Naas for previous connections and made a bright start to life with Natalia Lupini when a close fourth in the Ulster Oaks at Down Royal. Squire Danagher has two Dundalk victories to call upon and is the highest-rated horse in the field. It'sonlyjustbegun was a never nearer fourth in a good handicap at Roscommon and Keithen Kennedy is value for his claim in these apprentice races. Razdan is capable of a big run especially after winning over flights at Downpatrick in April. Blue Soul is up in trip after delivering in Tipperary, while Explorers Way showed his fortitude in Down Royal and could be progressive.

The pick of these could be IT'SONLYJUSTBEGUN, who appears to be going the right way judged on her recent effort at Roscommon and this stiffer track is certainly a plus where she is concerned. Razdan was successful over hurdles last time and will be a threat if able to continue the good work back in this sphere, while Oriole is third choice ahead of Blue Soul.

It could pay to take a chance on ITSONLYJUSTBEGUN (nap) who did well in the circumstances at Roscommon and seems sure to improve

17:20 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The last time DOCTOR GRACE encountered a massive field she finished fourth over C&D and a host of winners have come out of that race. Numidia won by six lengths in this grade at Fairyhouse on his penultimate start. He got a hefty rise for that, but a 7lb claimer has been booked so he is dangerous. Barretstown is likely to be popular after winning in this grade at Cork in May. He races off 5lb higher and has Billy Lee's assistance again. Question Of Class was only beaten half a length into second at Limerick and cheekpieces are deployed. He Knows When put in his best performance to date when third at Leopardstown, while Epaulawn is another that could get a cheque.

DOCTOR GRACE has been shaping up well of late, closing all the way to the line having been caught further back than ideal when runner-up at Leopardstown (9f) 23 days ago. She's one to be interested in stepping back up in trip in the hope she gets the breaks. Her stablemate Limestone Red, low-mileage filly Question of Class and Numidia are others worth considering, with Epaulawn also fancied to be thereabouts.

Perhaps the 3yo QUESTION OF CLASS has more improvement in her than most, coming into the race on the back of a good Limerick run
