1st (4) (10/11 +17%) Blood Destiny |
10/11(+17%) | (4) Blood Destiny 10/11, Useful hurdler. Latest win in hurdle at Fairyhouse in January. Off 8 months. Makes chase debut. Up in trip. Has the scope for chasing. Juvenile hurdling season ended in anti-climax, needs to settle better, useful allowance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/8 +0%) Heart Wood |
11/8(+0%) | (1) Heart Wood 11/8, Promising sort. 11/2, second of 9 in novice chase at this course (20f, soft) 32 days ago, sticking to task. Bold bid expected. Made an encouraging return behind Willie Mullins-trained Grangeclare West at this venue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (12/1 -100%) Spanish Harlem |
12/1(-100%) | (3) Spanish Harlem 12/1, Useful hurdler. 6/1, pulled up in handicap hurdle at Cheltenham Festival (20.2f, good to soft), beaten before 2 out. Off 9 months. Makes chase debut. Plenty to prove now on account of last season's disappointing novice hurdling campaign. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (12/1 -33%) Landrake |
12/1(-33%) | (2) Landrake 12/1, Useful hurdler. 12/1, fifth of 6 in novice chase at Navan (20f, heavy) on debut over fences 25 days ago. Made a couple of errors during a low-key chasing debut in a Navan race won by a stablemate. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HEART WOOD returned from 364 days off when running well in a hot beginners' chase last month. His French form was smart – winning an Auteuil Listed hurdle in March 2022 and while absent for almost a year prior to Naas, he sandwiched two high-class types. He is suited by conditions and is now race-fit. Blood Destiny was Grade 2-placed last April and debuts over fences on reappearance over a distance which could suit. He will be well schooled and receives 8lb but nonetheless cedes experience to the year-older selection. Landrake was a 135-rated hurdler who was well beaten on chase debut while Spanish Harlem, which is rated 131 over hurdles, has plenty to prove in this smart race having been pulled up at Cheltenham.
A strong maiden with all 4 useful over hurdles. Heart Wood had a couple of subsequent winners behind him when second in a novice chase here on his belated return and shades the vote over Blood Destiny.
Blood Destiny may struggle to cope with HEART WOOD who should be better for last month's comeback run.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (25/1 -79%) The Virginian |
25/1(-79%) | (8) The Virginian 25/1, Wasn't seen to best effect when ninth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan (18f, soft, 17/2) 5 months ago, left poorly placed. Makes chase debut. AW Flat winner, mild promise in handicap hurdles, may need chasing experience. |

|F| (14) (28/1 +15%) Tincurra Lad |
28/1(+15%) | (14) Tincurra Lad 28/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. Tailed off in handicap hurdle (40/1) at Punchestown (20.8f, soft) 4 weeks ago. Switches from hurdles to chase. Back down in trip. Winning hurdler, has fallen in two of his three chase starts, seems a risky proposition. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (4) (22/1 -10%) Derridae |
22/1(-10%) | (4) Derridae 22/1, Fair winner at 16f over hurdles. Showed little when ninth of 15 in beginners chase at Tramore (21.4f, soft, 28/1) on chasing debut 16 days ago. Back down in trip. Makes handicap chase debut. Was in good shape over hurdles at around this time last season, vulnerable on recent form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (15) (10/1 -82%) Kilashee |
10/1(-82%) | (15) Kilashee 10/1, Unreliable individual. Thirty runs since last win in 2021. 12/1, wasted no time getting back to form when second of 7 in handicap chase at Clonmel (17.9f, heavy) 7 days ago, no match for winner. Can go well again. Beaten 7l in a novice handicap chase last week, definite chance in this grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

20/1(+20%) | (16) Barbaha Queen 20/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. Eleventh of 14 in handicap hurdle (18/1) at Limerick (16f, heavy) 23 days ago. Switches from hurdles to chase. Placed in two of her three handicap chase attempts, has to rebound from a poor hurdles run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (3) (50/1 -567%) Filon D'oudairies |
50/1(-567%) | (3) Filon D'oudairies 50/1, 16/1, fared no better for the fitting of cheekpieces when tenth of 14 in handicap chase at Thurles (18.4f, soft) 3 weeks ago. In good form in the final few months of last year, nothing like the same this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (10) (80/1 -300%) Natural Ability |
80/1(-300%) | (10) Natural Ability 80/1, Offered little after 6 months off when seventh of 8 in novice chase at Punchestown (15.6f, soft, 125/1) 4 weeks ago. Makes handicap chase debut. Trainer should never be underestimated but little to recommend on what he has shown so far. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MONEY HEIST was absent for 394 days prior to an encouraging run last month and looks far better than his 97 rating. His initial point-to-point form was good and having won at Galway in October 2022, disappointed three days later before missing 13 months. Wearing cheekpieces and dropping in distance isn't ideal but reverting to fences on testing going will suit. Kilashee ran well behind a nicely-in winner at Clonmel last week but has yet to win in 12 chases. Prince Of Air ran well on chase debut at Thurles last month and likes this distance. Triple point-to-point winner Kates Hill makes her handicap chase debut and while she has top weight, has distance form on heavy ground. Pana To Milan ran well enough at Tramore while Cullenwaine disappointed at Thurles. Natural Ability debuts in handicaps and is best watched for now.
Cases can be made for several, but MONEY HEIST shaped as if retaining all his ability after 13 months off when fourth over hurdles at Cork last month, and with that outing sure to have blow away any cobwebs, Gavin Cromwell's 6-y-o gets the nod to open his account in this sphere fitted with first-time headgear. Kilashee, Mahlers Cove and Knocknagappagh are just a handul of possible dangers.
With normal improvement from a comeback run over hurdles at Cork, MONEY HEIST could prove a cut above these rivals.

Fenway Park |
(6) (6/1 -71%)6/1(-71%) | (6) Fenway Park 6/1, Promising individual. 13/2, third of 18 in novice hurdle at Cork (16f, soft) on hurdles bow 39 days ago. Should progress. Form of his Cork third has been advertised by runner-up Jigoro, slight edge over Glen Kiln. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Will Wilde |
(11) (7/2 +68%)7/2(+68%) | (11) Will Wilde 7/2, Twice-raced winner in bumpers. 1 win from 1 run this season. Fairly useful winner at 18f in bumpers. Won 9-runner bumper at Sligo (18f, soft, 13/2) 48 days ago. Warrants respect on hurdles debut. Made all to beat a Gordon Elliott-trained favourite in a bumper at Sligo, promising sort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Cut The Rope |
(3) (9/2 -13%)9/2(-13%) | (3) Cut The Rope 9/2, Posted promising second on hurdles bow at Limerick in October and was in the process of backing that up (looked booked for second) when falling at the last at Gowran (16f, heavy) 33 days ago. Likely contender. Course bumper winner, second on hurdling debut, fell on latest but should be in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Quai De Bourbon |
(10) (11/10 +45%)11/10(+45%) | (10) Quai De Bourbon 11/10, Promising individual. 13/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, fourth of 10 in juvenile hurdle at Auteuil (17.4f, heavy). Off 13 months. Since joined Willie Mullins and must enter calculations on yard debut. Two French hurdle runs were marred by poor jumping, nonetheless has to command respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
D Art D Art |
(4) (12/1 -140%)12/1(-140%) | (4) D Art D Art 12/1, Twice-raced winner in bumpers. Winner in bumper at Gowran in January. Off 9 months. Makes hurdles debut. Battled well for bumper win at Gowran in January, out of depth in Grade 1 at Cheltenham. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Elusive Prince |
(5) (18/1 -125%)18/1(-125%) | (5) Elusive Prince 18/1, Promising sort. 13/2, fourth of 8 in novice hurdle at Punchestown (20.8f, soft) on NH debut 28 days ago. Stable in good form. Should improve. Point winner, soundly beaten in fourth on hurdling debut at Punchestown, should do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Glen Kiln |
(7) (20/1 -150%)20/1(-150%) | (7) Glen Kiln 20/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. Creditable second of 14 in novice hurdle (7/2) at Limerick (19f, heavy) 23 days ago. Respected. Clear of the remainder when second at Limerick last time but this is a stronger race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Grooveykindoflove |
(14) (40/1 -300%)40/1(-300%) | (14) Grooveykindoflove 40/1, €125,000 3-y-o, Muhtathir filly. Trainer’s newcomers command respect. Stable in good form. Trainer also saddles Elusive Prince, a point winner who has had a run over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Ashdale Flyer |
(12) (66/1 +0%)66/1(+0%) | (12) Ashdale Flyer 66/1, Twice-raced maiden. Ninth of 19 in novice hurdle at Navan (16f, heavy, 40/1) 25 days ago. Work to do. Two fair maiden hurdle runs, need to jump better than when finishing in mid-field at Navan. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Not My Problem |
(9) (100/1 -52%)100/1(-52%) | (9) Not My Problem 100/1, €65,000 3-y-o, Blue Bresil gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Back On The Lash and fairly useful hurdler Pinnacle Peak. Likely a longer-term project. Half-brother to winners, dam bumper/hurdle winner, stoutly bred, will probably need this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Bossofthebus |
(1) (125/1 -279%)125/1(-279%) | (1) Bossofthebus 125/1, Once-raced maiden. Sixth of 15 in bumper (50/1) at Killarney (17f, good to soft) on NH debut. Off 7 months. Makes hurdles debut. Not a bad effort at a big price when sixth in a Killarney bumper, faces a stiff task here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
True Testimony |
(16) (125/1 -150%)125/1(-150%) | (16) True Testimony 125/1, Twice-raced maiden. 33/1, ninth of 19 in bumper at this course (16f, soft) 32 days ago. Makes hurdles debut. Second in a Dromahane point, mid-field in two bumpers, likely to need hurdling experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Catchyoulater |
(2) (150/1 -50%)150/1(-50%) | (2) Catchyoulater 150/1, Califet gelding. Dam well held in bumper. Home-bred gelding, dam ran only once, unlikely to be a serious contender first time out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Hawke Eye |
(8) (150/1 -127%)150/1(-127%) | (8) Hawke Eye 150/1, Fair maiden on the Flat, making GB/IRE jumps debut. Thirteenth of 15 in handicap at Killarney (14.1f, good, 25/1). Up against it. 62-rated Flat maiden, Flat pedigree, not an obvious candidate for a first-time hurdle win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Getaway Erin |
(13) (150/1 -127%)150/1(-127%) | (13) Getaway Erin 150/1, €15,000 3-y-o, Getaway filly. Dam unraced sister to high-class hurdler (2m/17f winner) Grandouet and winning hurdler/chaser in France (stayed 3¼m) Beuvron. Third foal out of unraced sister to high-class hurdle winner Grandouet, best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Rebel Cowgirl |
(15) (200/1 -100%)200/1(-100%) | (15) Rebel Cowgirl 200/1, Twice-raced maiden. 250/1, ninth of 19 in novice hurdle at Punchestown (19.4f, soft) 19 days ago. Looks one for handicaps down the line. Two maiden hurdle runs, in rear at Gowran, much better at Punchestown, a lot more needed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
QUAI DE BOURBON jumped right in two French runs as a three-year-old but nonetheless showed form and reappears for top connections. Pulled up having been hampered when racing green on debut, he again jumped right when finishing fourth at Auteuil last November. Going right-handed is concerning but he looks smart and has heavy-ground form. D Art D Art won in testing conditions on January bumper debut and while well held at Cheltenham, should be well suited by this distance as his Gowran win was achieved in the manner of a stayer. Cut The Rope is race-fit but is vulnerable to smart types. October bumper winner Will Wilde debuts over hurdles while Fenway Park is race-fit and has some place claims. Elusive Prince might improve from his Punchestown run while Glen Kiln finished second in a lesser maiden at Limerick. Grooveykindoflove was a 125,000-euro three-year-old and is out of an well-bred unraced dam.
CUT THE ROPE made a good start over hurdles at Limerick was in the process of improving on that when coming down late on at Gowran Park last month. He gets the nod. Willie Mullins new recruit Quai de Bourbon must be respected, particularly if the market speaks in his favour, whilst Fenway Park should also go well.
It could be worth siding with Sligo bumper winner WILL WILDE who should be suited by trip and ground

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Iron Allen |
(5) (9/1 -29%)9/1(-29%) | (5) Iron Allen 9/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. Creditable fifth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Thurles (16.2f, soft, 80/1) 21 days ago, plugging on. Step back up in trip may help here. Better effort in a Thurles handicap last time and is rated 93, so could get involved. |

Jeronimo De L'ouch |
(6) (14/1 +30%)14/1(+30%) | (6) Jeronimo De L'ouch 14/1, Cokoriko gelding. Down the field all 3 starts in bumpers earlier this year. Best of three bumper runs was at Killarney in May but was still beaten 22l; loads to find. |

Claims of hitting the frame in a very ordinary affair. A better effort at Punchestown last time but still beaten 24l; has to find a fair bit more. |

Black Barrel |
(1) (20/1 -67%)20/1(-67%) | (1) Black Barrel 20/1, Modest hurdler. Remains a maiden after 11 hurdle runs. Below form seventh of 15 in handicap hurdle at Galway (24f, heavy, 25/1) 47 days ago. Back down in trip. Was 4th in a 3m Sligo handicap in August but disappointing since and is rated only 81. |

Walk In The Stars |
(10) (40/1 +39%)40/1(+39%) | (10) Walk In The Stars 40/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 200/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time, last of 10 in novice hurdle at Lingfield (19.5f, good to soft). First run for yard after leaving Clare Hobson. Has shown little ability in five starts in the UK and makes no appeal on stable debut. |

Howdoyalikeherhome |
(4) (80/1 -220%)80/1(-220%) | (4) Howdoyalikeherhome 80/1, Thrice-raced maiden under NH rules. Thirteenth of 16 in novice hurdle (80/1) at Thurles (16.5f, good to soft) on hurdles bow 14 days ago, blundering second and always behind. Passed over. Well behind in a Thurles maiden hurdle, even allowing for being hampered; loads to find. |

Silverfort Lady |
(9) (200/1 -300%)200/1(-300%) | (9) Silverfort Lady 200/1, Thrice-raced maiden under NH rules. 150/1, pulled up in novice hurdle at Kilbeggan (18.3f, good to soft) on hurdles bow, pulled up before last. Off 6 months. Well beaten in two bumpers and pulled-up in a maiden hurdle; best to look elsewhere. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HILLSDALE showed promise in a smart maiden last month and is unexposed. A work-in-progress, he shaped quite nicely at Punchestown and while beaten 24 lengths, the winner is high-class, the placed-horses are able and he conceded 15lb to 95-rated Ivy Hall, which finished sixth. Brennus Lescribaa's chances are more apparent having chased home high-class winners at both Down Royal and Punchestown, when beating 15 rivals in each race. By a leading sire and an 82,000-euro three-year-old purchase, he is dependable but might be vulnerable to an improving selection. It is encouraging that connections have returned Finished Article to training as while she has obviously had training issues, might show form this season. Iron Allen won an ordinary point-to-point and has fair hurdles form.
No depth to this maiden but BRENNUS LESCRIBAA has displayed fair form both starts since being switched to this sphere and he looks the way to go. Hillsdale and Iron Allen can do battle for the forecast spot.
This has little strength in depth and BRENNUS LESCRIBAA can win it with just a reproduction of his fourth placed runs lately.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Willie Mullins' Crack The Sky was green on debut at Gowran Park when beaten 10 lengths into second, but should improve for the run. The form of that race hasn't been franked to date, though, so she is swerved for the time being. ONLY BY NIGHT is in good hands and her chance has to be respected as she was last seen winning a Listed mares' bumper at Navan. As a former point-to-point winner, hurdles shouldn't inconvenience her. Gallimh A Run was smart in bumper company in winning at Thurles and this track before finishing sixth in a Grade 2 mares' bumper at Aintree. An absolute plethora of winners have come out of that Liverpool contest, so she is a major player. Magic Dawn bled in that bumper in Aintree and finished out the back. There was merit in her fourth place on hurdle debut at Navan last month, though.
ONLY BY NIGHT and Gaillimh A Run both showed plenty of ability in bumpers with the former taken to make a winning start in this sphere. Crack The Sky and Magic Dawn have made a promising start to their hurdles career and they complete the shortlist.
A dual bumper winner, including in Listed company last time at Navan,ONLY BY NIGHT(nap) also won a point and can take this.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MAIMIE'S MAGIC is entitled to come on from her fifth place in a big field at Navan last month. That was her first outing for almost seven months and she made up ground at the business end. Furthermore, that effort came in a higher grade which gives hope that she can defy the burden of 12st 4lb. Ivane has winning form on testing ground at Galway in October which makes him dangerous in this company even if he hasn't been at his best on his last couple of starts. Man River showed much more form when third over further at Wexford which gives him claims. Banada Bridge, Go Gill Go and Tuckmill are all in with a shout of landing a cheque.
BANADA BRIDGE can race off a 2 lb lower mark than when a good recent fifth at Wexford so is taken to gain an overdue maiden victory in a handicap where plenty arrive with a question mark against them. Junot could emerge as the chief threat on the back of his good Thurles fourth, with Maimie's Magic and Man River also in the mix.
After being a solid third in a Wexford handicap over 2m4f last time, the Flat-bred MAN RIVER should be better suited by this trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Stuart Crawford's POPPY ROSE was an eye-catcher in third at Navan and appeals off 1lb higher. A good run from her stablemate, Maimie's Magic, in the preceding race on the card would be encouraging as she was just behind Poppy Rose in fifth at Navan. Young Fitzy didn't run badly at all in third over this trip in Limerick and is certainly on a mark he can be effective off while Derby De Thaix ran a cracker in third in a qualified riders' maiden hurdle at Sligo. That run confirmed that he can handle soft ground. This trip looks a bit short for Wee Jerry, but he likes to get on with it and it would be dangerous to give him too much rope in first-time cheekpieces. Special Protector was placed in three races on the Flat including on heavy ground in Galway at the end of October. She is of some interest as she tries hurdling again.
YOUNG FITZY is on a career-low mark and turned in his best effort of the season when third at Limerick last time, so he's worth a chance to build on that. The in-form Poppy Rose deserves respect and market support would look significant for handicap debutant Container Madness.
POPPY ROSE doesn't need to improve much on the form of her Navan third on return to get off the mark.

Iris Emery |
(6) (6/4 +25%)6/4(+25%) | (6) Iris Emery 6/4, Spanish Moon mare. Strong in betting, shaped as if amiss when pulled up in bumper at Gowran (17f, heavy) on debut back in February, weakening under 2f out. Highly likely she can leave that in her wake on return to action. Lost action and pulled up when favourite on debut in February, remains of obvious interest. |

Easy winner of sole start in points (Jan 2023) and he's of obvious interest on bumper debut for powerful stable. Sold for 250,000GBP to remain in the yard after a 12l point win, second has won a bumper. |

(3) (9/1 -50%)9/1(-50%) | (3) Typhoon Flyer 9/1, Tongue strap on, third of 6 in bumper at Listowel (16f, soft, 14/1) on debut 37 days ago. From a cracking NH family and that was a promising start. Fancied to feature. Stepped up on point-to-point form when third of six in a winners' bumper at Listowel. |

Dream Shaper |
(1) (200/1 -100%)200/1(-100%) | (1) Dream Shaper 200/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 300/1, again well held when fifth of 8 in bumper at Galway (16.7f, heavy) 72 days ago. Hard to fancy. The most experienced runner here but nothing to suggest he can play a featuring role. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
WINGMEN could be an exciting recruit to the racetrack. He made 250,000 guineas at the Sales after cruising home by 12 lengths in a testing-ground point-to-point back in January. The horse he beat into second has since landed a bumper in Ballinrobe. Iris Emery lost her action and was pulled up in a bumper at Gowran Park. She went off favourite for that contest, though, so much better can be expected here. Typhoon Flyer attracted support at big prices in Listowel and finished third. That was a fair effort behind the two market leaders, so he isn't out of it.
WINGMEN marked himself down as a very good prospect when running out a 12-length winner of his only start in points and could well be the way to go now starting out in bumpers for his powerful stable. Typhoon Flyer showed plenty when third on debut at Listowel in September and is feared, with Iris Emery likely to leave the form of her debut run behind back from 9 months off.
A likely Elliott-Mullins showdown in which WINGMEN, a point winner in January, may get the better of Irish Emery
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
