1st (2) (16/1 -113%) Miss Tempo |
16/1(-113%) | (2) Miss Tempo 16/1, Fairly useful winner at 3m over hurdles. 8/1, sixth of 8 in novice chase at Tramore (22f, good to soft) 84 days ago. Stable in good form and she could yet get back on track returning from a break. Stays much further than this, trainer may have a better chance with Ballybrack Wood. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (5/2 +17%) Ballybrack Wood |
5/2(+17%) | (9) Ballybrack Wood 5/2, Promising individual. Career best when winning 10-runner novice chase (3/1) at Tramore (20.4f, good to soft) on debut over fences 31 days ago. Big shout now handicapping in this sphere from what could prove a lenient opening mark. Already looking like a better chaser than hurdler having won a beginners' event at Tramore. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (13/2 +35%) Sea Road Fill |
13/2(+35%) | (8) Sea Road Fill 13/2, Remains a maiden after 17 NH runs. 150/1, finished well held in face of stiff task when seventh of 9 in Gr 3 chase at Cork (20f, good) 7 days ago. Switch to handicaps in his favour and showed enough in maidens previously to think he can make his mark. Ran in a Grade 3 last Sunday, fair chance in this company based on previous Cork second. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (7/1 +30%) Digby |
7/1(+30%) | (1) Digby 7/1, Fairly useful hurdler and similar form over fences, respectable return from 5 months off when third of 5 in minor event chase at Sligo (21.1f, good) 39 days ago. Switch to handicaps in his favour and rider takes off a handy 7 lb. Respected. Ran well in good company last season, Sligo third was reassuring after a couple of flops. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (6/1 -20%) Winding River |
6/1(-20%) | (3) Winding River 6/1, Won 8-runner handicap chase at Clonmel (20.7f, good to soft, 9/2) 17 days ago, asserting run-in that despite a far-from-fluent round of jumping. This looks a tougher ask and he needs to keep the errors at bay. Downpatrick specialist, broadened his horizons with recent Clonmel win, now 5lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (22/1 +12%) Jacksons Gold |
22/1(+12%) | (6) Jacksons Gold 22/1, Twenty one runs since last win in 2021. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, sixteenth of 18 in handicap hurdle at Gowran (20.2f, good to soft, 25/1) 37 days ago, struggling from 5 out and tailed off. Switches from hurdles to chase. Flattered by second behind the smart Pinkerton in April, handicap form raises concerns. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (9/2 +10%) Andys Flame |
9/2(+10%) | (4) Andys Flame 9/2, 28/1, very good fifth of 11 in handicap chase at Cheltenham (19.8f, good) 15 days ago, keeping on when hampered 2f out. Respected faced with this less demanding assignment. Stayed on to some effect when fifth behind fellow Irish raider Lisnamult Lad at Cheltenham. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (7/1 +13%) Gustavo Goodway |
7/1(+13%) | (10) Gustavo Goodway 7/1, Third of 14 in handicap chase at Gowran (18f, good to firm, 22/1) on debut over fences 36 days ago, going in snatches and needing early reminders. Return to this longer trip may well help. Made a bright start chasing when third in a weaker handicap than this at Gowran, 3lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (22/1 -57%) Metersandmasks |
22/1(-57%) | (5) Metersandmasks 22/1, Fairly useful hurdler. Shaped as though retaining his ability back from a lengthy absence in pair of chase starts, sixth of 9 in novice chase at Galway (18.2f, good to soft) 15 days ago. Interesting if the market spoke in his favour now handicapping in this sphere. Beat Hewick in a handicap hurdle in 2022, two recent runs should have advanced his fitness. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (20/1 -67%) Faux Fur |
20/1(-67%) | (7) Faux Fur 20/1, Fair chaser. Below form when seventh of 8 to Winding River in handicap chase (14/1) at Clonmel (20.7f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Needs to get back on track. Not progressing, hard to fancy after a poor run in a Clonmel handicap won by Winding River. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BALLYBRACK WOOD failed to score in six outings over hurdles but looks to have a brighter future over fences after making a successful start over this trip at Tramore last month. The selection was prominent throughout when justifying favouritism in that beginners event and may now have most to fear from another with a similar profile in Gustavo Goodway. The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding races from 3lb out of the handicap proper but also made an encouraging start over fences when third to Finnians Row in a 2m2f Gowran handicap and the form of that race has received a number of boosts since. Winding River bids to follow up a recent Clonmel win while Andys Flame and Sea Road Fill are others to note.
Boasting a low-mileage profile over hurdles, BALLYBRACK WOOD found improvement to make a winning chase debut at Tramore 31 days ago and with further progress in the offing now handicapping, he makes plenty of appeal in his follow-up bid. Andys Flame and Digby are others to consider, along with Winding River.
Second at Cork on his penultimate start, SEA ROAD FILL gets the vote to score on his handicap debut

1st (10) (1/2 +31%) Spasiba |
1/2(+31%) | (10) Spasiba 1/2, Useful Flat winner. Ninth of 30 in handicap at the Curragh (16.8f, good to soft, 14/1) 42 days ago. Promising on hurdles debut for previous trainer. Obvious claims. Promising on only hurdles start for Sam Curling, fair form in valuable 2024 Flat handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (12) (40/1 +20%) Beauforts Storm |
40/1(+20%) | (12) Beauforts Storm 40/1, Poor hurdler. Fair winner at 17f in bumpers. Below form seventh of 14 in novice hurdle at Galway (16.4f, good to soft, 22/1) 15 days ago, having hopeless task from position. Bumper winner, more likely as a handicap prospect judged on her first three hurdle starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (13) (100/1 -100%) Fairyland Opera |
100/1(-100%) | (13) Fairyland Opera 100/1, Twice-raced maiden. 6/1, twelfth of 14 in novice hurdle at Tipperary (16.5f, good to soft) 6 months ago. Tongue strap on for 1st time. Initial outing at this venue showed promise; poor run on second attempt, tongue-tie on now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (9/2 +0%) Musta Lovea Lovea |
9/2(+0%) | (5) Musta Lovea Lovea 9/2, Fairly useful hurdler. Remains a maiden after 12 hurdle runs. 3/1, third of 21 in novice hurdle at this course (19f, heavy) 8 months ago. Hood back on. Form of last run has a good look to it and he can go well on return. Placed four times over hurdles, useful form but may continue to find one or two too good. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (40/1 +60%) Plunkett Street |
40/1(+60%) | (6) Plunkett Street 40/1, Modest winner at 10f on flat. Fourth of 20 in handicap at the Curragh (10f, soft, 7/1) 19 days ago. Makes hurdles debut. Suspect he'll be outclassed. Minor handicap winner on the Flat at Navan in September, lacks hurdling experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (22/1 +0%) Lehaunstown |
22/1(+0%) | (4) Lehaunstown 22/1, Promising individual. Eleventh of 24 in novice hurdle (40/1) at Fairyhouse (16f, soft) 11 months ago, not knocked about. Should have more to offer this term. Will need to jump considerably better than on his only outing last season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (20/1 +0%) Solsbury Hill |
20/1(+0%) | (9) Solsbury Hill 20/1, Twice-raced maiden. 12/1, first run since leaving Gearoid O'Loughlin when eighth of 20 in bumper at Punchestown (16.8f, good) 155 days ago, not seeing race out. Makes hurdles debut. First of his Punchestown bumper runs was better than the second, may need experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (150/1 +25%) Royal Noble |
150/1(+25%) | (8) Royal Noble 150/1, 200/1, first run since leaving Thomas Coyle when seventh of 10 in novice hurdle at Punchestown (16.3f, good) on hurdles bow 25 days ago. Moderate form in points/bumpers, posed no threat at Punchestown on hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (7/2 +36%) Jersey Des Brosses |
7/2(+36%) | (3) Jersey Des Brosses 7/2, Twice-raced maiden. 11/5, unseated rider in bumper at Bellewstown (17f, good to soft) 6 months ago, not done with having initially been a little outpaced at the top of the straight. Of interest now hurdling. Engaged 2.12 Gowran Saturday. Expensive purchase after point-to-point second, placed in a bumper. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (250/1 -150%) Isthereonemoreinme |
250/1(-150%) | (2) Isthereonemoreinme 250/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 100/1, seventh of 8 in novice hurdle at Punchestown (20f, good) 26 days ago. Jumping issues have been evident, nothing to suggest he can play a featuring role. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (300/1 -50%) Rinnaseer King |
300/1(-50%) | (7) Rinnaseer King 300/1, 150/1, pulled up in novice hurdle at Listowel (22f, good) 49 days ago, tailed off when pulled up after 3 out. Hooded for 1st time, cheekpieces on for 1st time. Has struggled in all four appearances, safe to leave out of calculations. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SPASIBA is a useful stayer on the Flat and has shaped well in three outings for current connections this year including when third behind stablemate Sirius in the valuable amateur riders' handicap at the Galway Festival. The selection also filled the runner-up spot on his only hurdle start in a Limerick maiden last Christmas for Sam Curling. Musta Lovea Lovea has plenty of previous experience over hurdles and was placed three times here last season including when third to Slade Steel in this corresponding race. The race sponsor Oliver McKiernan is also represented by Syracus Du Houx, who was second in a Punchestown maiden this spring.
Usually an informative maiden and SPASIBA is strongly fancied to strike for Willie Mullins. He's been running well on the level for his new yard and made an encouraging debut in this sphere for his previous trainer at Christmas. Oliver McKiernan's pair Musta Lovea Lovea and Syracus du Houx look the dangers.
This is a good opportunity for 88-rated Flat performer SPASIBA to get off the mark on his second start over hurdles.

1st (3) (2/1 +56%) Pinot Gris |
2/1(+56%) | (3) Pinot Gris 2/1, Fairly useful winner at 13f on Flat. Winner in hurdle at Bellewstown in April and good second at Listowel in September. Can do better in this code. Second in the Lartigue Handicap at Listowel gives him a good chance against these rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (8/1 +33%) Palamon |
8/1(+33%) | (2) Palamon 8/1, Fairly useful hurdler. 14/1, bit below form eighth of 13 in handicap at Gowran (11.8f, heavy) 20 days ago. Good third in C&D juvenile hurdle in January but work to do. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Cork maiden winner, has had two runs on the Flat since poor run over hurdles at Galway. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 +11%) Wonleg |
4/1(+11%) | (4) Wonleg 4/1, 15/2, won 16-runner novice hurdle at Roscommon (15.6f, soft) 41 days ago, settling into a good rhythm behind the leading trio and picking them off one by one in the closing stages. This is a different scenario but he clearly has more to offer. Good shout. Roscommon maiden winner on hurdling debut, relative lack of experience could be an issue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (5/4 -87%) Zariygann |
5/4(-87%) | (1) Zariygann 5/4, 6/1, won 5-runner novice hurdle at Listowel (16f, soft) 46 days ago. No surprise that this half-brother to high-class hurdler Zanahiyr is doing better in this sphere and good chance in his bid to make it 3-3. Listowel win was franked when the runner-up won a four-runner Grade 3 contest at Tipperary. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
PINOT GRIS was the pick of these on the Flat and also has plenty of experience over hurdles. The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding added to two Flat wins when landing a Bellewstown maiden hurdle this spring and beat all bar Eagles Reign in the valuable Lartigue Hurdle at the Listowel Festival. Zariygann has taken well to hurdles easily winning a Roscommon maiden and the half-brother to Zanahiyr followed up in good style at Listowel. Wonleg also won a maiden at Roscommon on his debut under Rules and has plenty of scope for improvement.
WONLEG impressed when taking a big-field Roscommon novice 6 weeks ago, and while this small-field affair presents a different test, he could be up to it given the improvement he probably has in the works. Zariygann won't go down fighting as he bids to make it 3-3 in this sphere.
An ordinary sort on the Flat, ZARIYGANN has prospects of keeping his unbeaten hurdles record intact with his Listowel win boosted

1st (6) (1/4 +83%) Lieutenant Mayne |
1/4(+83%) | (6) Lieutenant Mayne 1/4, Third in sole point last February and marked himself down as potentially useful when winning 2 of his 3 starts in bumpers earlier this season. Good prospect now attentions switch to hurdling after 7 months off. Won two bumpers in Britain, form is questionable value but should make a fair hurdler. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (11) (9/1 +64%) Make Sunshine |
9/1(+64%) | (11) Make Sunshine 9/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 14/1, again ran to only a modest level when fourth of 11 in novice hurdle at Wexford (16.4f, heavy) 13 days ago. Low-grade handicaps promise to be more her bag on the back of this. Fourth in a recent maiden hurdle at Wexford, will probably need a handicap mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (50/1 +0%) Dunany Point |
50/1(+0%) | (2) Dunany Point 50/1, Masterofthehorse gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to modest hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stayed 2¾m) Rory's Sister. Failed to complete both starts in points, fell latest (Feb 2024). Failed to complete in two outings in points last season, likely to need experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (25/1 +50%) Mellem |
25/1(+50%) | (8) Mellem 25/1, Twice-raced maiden under NH rules. Tenth of 12 in novice hurdle (33/1) at Wexford (16.5f, heavy) on hurdles bow 14 days ago. Passed over on the back of that. Moderate fifth in a bumper at Listowel, completely tailed off in maiden hurdle at Wexford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (20/1 +50%) Black Fern |
20/1(+50%) | (10) Black Fern 20/1, Soldier of Fortune filly. Dam unraced half-sister to unreliable but useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 25f) Peckhamecho out of 2m-2½m hurdle/chase winner (stayed 2¾m) Nolans Pride). Dam an unraced half-sister to useful bumper/hurdle/chase winner Peckhamecho, best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (100/1 +0%) Niosfearabolt |
100/1(+0%) | (9) Niosfearabolt 100/1, Twice-raced maiden. Hooded for 1st time, sixth of 7 in novice hurdle (125/1) at Clonmel (16.6f, good to soft) 17 days ago. One for the longer term judged on his exploits to date. No apparent chance on the evidence of outings at Listowel and Clonmel. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (11/2 +66%) Another Challenge |
11/2(+66%) | (1) Another Challenge 11/2, €58,000 3-y-o, Order of St George gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to smart hurdler/useful chase winner (stayed 25f) Minella Awards. Worth monitoring in the betting for clues on debut. Unraced dam is a half-sister to winners including the Harry Fry-trained Minella Awards. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (20/1 +20%) Kanpai |
20/1(+20%) | (5) Kanpai 20/1, €35,000 3-y-o, Getaway gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful 17f/19f hurdle winner Champagne Problem and fair hurdler Champagnesocialist, stays 3m. Ninth of 12 in novice hurdle at Kilbeggan (19f, good, 14/1) on NH debut 13 days ago, held up and never dangerous. Likely one for later on. Down the field in a 2m3f maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan in May, unlikely to feature. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LIEUTENANT MAYNE won twice in bumpers on testing ground earlier this year and is an interesting recruit to hurdles. The John McConnell-trained gelding raced prominently on both occasions including when making all on the Midlands National card at Uttoxeter. Masterboy Davis was placed twice in bumpers also on heavy going last season including when just denied at Punchestown by Sounds Victorius who went on to finish fourth at the Cheltenham Festival. Make Sunshine has some jumping experience and was fourth in a Wexford maiden recently, while any market support for Another Challenge would be interesting.
LIEUTENANT MAYNE reached a near useful level in bumpers during the spring and with this increase in trip promising to suit now hurdling, he could well be the way to go in a race essentially lacking a great deal of depth. Masterboy Davis was another who displayed promise in that sphere and, along with ex-pointer Hills of Glory, heads up the dangers.
Dual British bumper winner Lieutenant Mayne may not cope with MASTERBOY DAVIS whose best Irish bumper run is more persuasive

1st (7) (11/2 +0%) The Busy Fool |
11/2(+0%) | (7) The Busy Fool 11/2, Lightly-raced winner under NH rules. Career best when winning 9-runner handicap hurdle (11/5) at Tipperary (16f, good to soft) 6 months ago. Back up in trip and in the picture. Stays this trip and the lack of a recent run should not be an issue; could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (6/1 +33%) Park Of Kings |
6/1(+33%) | (6) Park Of Kings 6/1, Latest win in hurdle at Gowran in October. Tenth of 11 in handicap hurdle (7/2) at Punchestown (20f, good) 25 days ago so needs to get back on track. Good claims on his best form but would not appear to the owner's first choice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (10/3 +79%) Sir Allen |
10/3(+79%) | (8) Sir Allen 10/3, Respectable ninth of 19 in handicap at the Curragh (14f, good to soft, 5/1) 24 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Can give a good account. Flat winner back over hurdles here and has the handicap experience to be competitive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (4/1 +27%) Win Some Lose Some |
4/1(+27%) | (5) Win Some Lose Some 4/1, 3 wins from 5 runs this season. 10/3, career best when winning 11-runner handicap hurdle at Clonmel (19.5f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Not taken lightly. Up 8lb for Clonmel but has a nice weight and continues on the upgrade; leading contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (11/1 -100%) Gaoth Chuil |
11/1(-100%) | (3) Gaoth Chuil 11/1, 28/1, seventh of 13 in maiden at the Curragh (12f, soft) on flat debut 19 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Needs a couple of these to falter. Ran okay in a 1m4f Flat maiden at the Curragh last month and is one for the shortlist here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (18/1 -29%) First Dare |
18/1(-29%) | (9) First Dare 18/1, 1 win from 3 runs this season. 5/2, sixth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (16.3f, good) 25 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Up in trip. Hood back on. Possibilities. Disappointing in a mares handicap at Punchestown last time off this mark; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (9/1 -64%) Happy Jacky |
9/1(-64%) | (1) Happy Jacky 9/1, Is enjoying an excellent season and posted a fine second of 11 in handicap hurdle at Gowran (24f, good) 36 days ago. Big shout. Drop back in trip is not a problem and the stable continues in fine form; should go close. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (18/1 -100%) Espanito Bello |
18/1(-100%) | (2) Espanito Bello 18/1, C&D winner. 14¾ lengths fifth of 7 to French Dynamite in Grade 3 chase (20/1) at Punchestown (23.2f, good) 25 days ago. Switches from chase to hurdles. Has work to do. 9lb higher than when winning last year and has struggled for form since; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (15/2 +46%) Missus Beeton |
15/2(+46%) | (11) Missus Beeton 15/2, Good second of 11 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (20f, good, 5/1) 25 days ago. Not ruled out. Touched off at Punchestown last month; good 7lb claimer up and looks capable of a big run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (50/1 -257%) Shanroe |
50/1(-257%) | (4) Shanroe 50/1, 25/1, tenth of 11 in handicap at Chester (15.9f, soft) 57 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Up in trip. Useful hurdler so he's no forlorn hope. Ran okay when trying a repeat win a 1m6f Listed at Chester in August; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (16/1 +0%) Natural Look |
16/1(+0%) | (10) Natural Look 16/1, Latest win in hurdle at Clonmel in May. 5/1, pulled up in handicap chase at Limerick (19.2f, good to soft) 21 days ago. Handily weighted if back on song here. Never travelled in a Limerick handicap chase last month; each-way chance on her best form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
There looks a bit more to come from the five-year-old WIN SOME LOSE SOME. The Champs Elysees gelding found more late on to get up at Clonmel last time and was a cosy enough winner at the line. He was hit with an 8lb hike for that but going a bit further and a stiff uphill finish here should suit. The admirable veteran Happy Jacky heads the weights and should be a big player. The Milan gelding got collared late on at Gowran Park last time and is 3lb higher now. The Busy Fool was a winner last time but that came back in April. He could be a contender if ready to roll on his return.
Plenty are in with a shout. HAPPY JACKY arrives on the back of an excellent Gowran second so edges the vote at the chief expense of The Busy Fool who is also weighted to have a say on his seasonal return. Win Some Lose Some, Natural Look and First Dare are others to consider in this very open contest.
Preference is for bottom-weight MISSUS BEETON, a progressive mare that went desperately close at Punchestown last month

1st (3) (7/2 +0%) Quilixios |
7/2(+0%) | (3) Quilixios 7/2, C&D winner. 18/1, creditable 12 lengths fifth of 10 to Found A Fifty in Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree (15.8f, soft), going off too hard. Off 7 months but can make his presence felt with yard in good form. Fell short at Cheltenham and Aintree; this sort of race might just suit him a bit better. |

2nd (4) (8/11 -18%) Marine Nationale |
8/11(-18%) | (4) Marine Nationale 8/11, High-class hurdler/chaser who lost his unbeaten record when fifth of 6 to Il Etait Temps in Irish Arkle Novices' Chase at Leopardstown (17f, soft). Off 9 months but very much the one to beat. Bids to restore faith here and could hardly be better treated by the race conditions. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (10/3 +26%) Hercule Du Seuil |
10/3(+26%) | (1) Hercule Du Seuil 10/3, Smart chaser. 11/1, 5¾ lengths third of 4 to Il Etait Temps in Barberstown Castle Novices' Chase (Colliers) at Punchestown (16.3f, good to soft). Off 6 months but needs considering. Probably suited by this sort of small field conditions chase but faces a tough enough task. |

4th (2) (22/1 -38%) Lucid Dreams |
22/1(-38%) | (2) Lucid Dreams 22/1, Useful chaser. 12¼ lengths third of 5 to Found A Fifty in Skymas Chase at Down Royal (19.6f, good to soft, 6/1) 8 days ago. More is needed here. The drop back in trip is probably not a worry but would undoubtedly prefer it softer. |

5th (5) (125/1 -25%) Miss Gherkin |
125/1(-25%) | (5) Miss Gherkin 125/1, Fair hurdler/chaser who posted a good second of 7 in novice chase (25/1) at Sligo (17.6f, good) 39 days ago. This is a tough ask though. Good second in a mares chase at Sligo last month but looks out of her depth here. |

This looks like a nice starting point for MARINE NATIONALE, in a race where he gets weight from his main rivals. The French Navy gelding looked to have the world at his feet when running out an easy winner of the Supreme Novices' in March 2023 but he has something to prove now having disappointed when last seen in the Irish Arkle in February. Hercule Du Seuil ran well at Punchestown when third in Grade 1 company and is top rated on 150. Giving 9lb to the selection could be tough, though. Quilixios was only a neck behind Hercule Du Seuil when the pair were fourth and fifth at Aintree and gets 5lb from that rival here, so he's another leading contender.
Barry Connell's high-class MARINE NATIONALE is fancied to make light of his absence and quickly resume winning ways in this Grade 3 chase at the chief expense of C&D winner Quilixios who represents the in-form Henry de Bromhead team. Hercule du Seuil appeals as the pick of the rest for minor honours.
His novice campaign did not go to plan, but top novice hurdler MARINE NATIONALE has the ideal opportunity here to get back on track

1st (2) (4/6 +0%) Farren Glory |
4/6(+0%) | (2) Farren Glory 4/6, Grade 1 novice hurdle winner last season. Promising second of 13 in maiden at Wexford (16f, heavy) on debut over fences 13 days ago. Hard to beat with improvement likely. Found Inthepocket too good at Wexford; decent opportunity to get off the mark here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (7/4 +71%) Ho My Lord |
7/4(+71%) | (4) Ho My Lord 7/4, Useful form in maiden chases for Willie Mullins last winter. Has changed stable ahead of reappearance. Might be the main threat to Farren Glory if fully primed after a 9-month break. Not seen since January; debuts for Padraig Roche here and has run well fresh in the past. |

3rd (1) (20/1 +39%) Clonshire River |
20/1(+39%) | (1) Clonshire River 20/1, Fair hurdler. 25/1, sixth of 12 in maiden at Punchestown (16.6f, good) on debut over fences 25 days ago. Soundly beaten on his chasing debut at Punchestown last month and up against it here. |

4th (5) (12/1 +0%) One Last Tango |
12/1(+0%) | (5) One Last Tango 12/1, Fairly useful hurdler. Similar form over fences last twice, finishing fourth of 9 in novice chase at Galway (18.2f, good to soft, 12/1) 15 days ago. Respectable efforts in a pair of beginners chases at Galway; will get a mark after this. |

FARREN GLORY should be hard to beat here on his second outing over fences. The Grade 1-winning hurdler chased home impressive scorer Inthepocket on his chase debut at Wexford 13 days ago and is entitled to improve for that experience. He doesn't face anything of that class now. Ho My Lord makes his first start for Padraig Roche and may be the one to give him most to do. He had some good novice form last season, including chasing home Il Etait Temps at Thurles. Owner JP McManus also has One Last Tango and he could get closer now after a couple of spins over fences.
FARREN GLORY should be very hard to beat on the back of his promising opening effort over fences at Wexford. Ho My Lord had some decent form in similar races last season and might be the one to follow him home on his return for new trainer Padraig Roche.
This looks a decent opprtunity for Grade 1-winning novice hurdler FARREN GLORY after a good first effort at Wexford

28/1(+15%) | (3) Ellens Pride 28/1, Berkshire filly. Half-sister to 5f winner in Italy Little Prince. Dam unraced. Flat pedigree and of interest here on her debut in a race lacking any strength in depth. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

100/1(-203%) | (12) Treenbeg 100/1, Alkaadhem mare. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful chaser (stayed 2½m) Dorset Naga. Stoutly bred newcomer and likely to improve for whatever she does here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (150/1 -275%) Niamhie |
150/1(-275%) | (8) Niamhie 150/1, Getaway filly. Half-sister to hurdler/chaser Ciankyle, stays 2¾m. Home-bred filly from a winning family but best watched here on her debut. |

LAU AND SHAZ looked to bump into a smart sort in Mummy Derry at Punchestown last month and can get her head in front now. The Kayf Tara filly had shaped with promise when seventh on her debut in the Goffs Bumper at the festival meeting in April and can make it third-time lucky. Carrigmoornaspruce was no match for impressive winner Amen Kate on her debut in Listowel but stayed on nicely to finish second and the form looks good with the third horse winning since. Shesakindofmagic showed some promise on her debut last year and could get closer now on her first outing for Anthony McCann.
CARRIGMOORNASPRUCE shaped well when second on her Listowel debut and can build on that promise and go one better now. Gavin Cromwell pair Lau And Shaz and Murphy Place can give her most to do.
Her two runs at Punchestown makes LAU AND SHAZ the standard-setter here and she can collect
Ths is the racecard key.
