1st (6) (8/1 +27%) Prime Art |
8/1(+27%) | (6) Prime Art 8/1, Twice-raced filly. Fourth of 16 in maiden at this course (7f, good to soft, 17/2) 18 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Comes from a good family but it may be in handicaps/over further we see the best of her. Beaten 7l and 8l in maidens at the Curragh and here; needs to find improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (4/1 -33%) Emerald Banner |
4/1(-33%) | (4) Emerald Banner 4/1, Promising type. 5/1, stepped up on debut form when second of 8 in maiden at Navan (5f, good to soft) 14 days ago, keeping on. Open to further improvement and this step back up in trip rates a plus. Sound claims. Second over 5f at Navan to a smart type; looks a leading player back up to this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (1.25/1 +38%) Sweetest |
1.25/1(+38%) | (10) Sweetest 1.25/1, Promising type. Second of 11 in maiden at this C&D (good, 4/5) 18 days ago, leading inside final 1f and headed close home. Big Player. Was 1.75l ahead of Vivienda over C&D last time but it could be closer betwen them today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (12) (4/1 -20%) Vivienda |
4/1(-20%) | (12) Vivienda 4/1, Once-raced filly. 11/2, third of 11 in maiden at this C&D (good) on debut 18 days ago, keeping on when short of room inside final 1f. Looks sure to build on that initial effort and she's one to note. Not far behind today's rival Sweetest over C&D on debut; should have improved and go close. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (33/1 -65%) Four Blondes |
33/1(-65%) | (5) Four Blondes 33/1, Twice-raced filly. 16/1, ninth of 16 in maiden at this course (7f, good to soft) 18 days ago, pushed along over 2f out and making no impression. Debut effort contained promise however, and likely she can do better still. Promise on debut at the Curragh, though beaten 10l; didn't improve upon that over 7f here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

28/1(+60%) | (13) Zarra Ellis 28/1, Foaled April 2. 55,000 gns foal, Eqtidaar filly. Closely related to 6f winner Catwalk Model and half-sister to several winners, including smart 5f winner Fashion Queen. Dam sprint maiden. By a first-season sire who has got some winners; check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (16/1 -14%) Ringabella |
16/1(-14%) | (7) Ringabella 16/1, Foaled April 30. Acclamation filly. Closely related to high-class 7f-9f winner Waikuku and half-sister to 3 winners, including smart 1¼m winner Waipiro. Dam lightly raced. By a leading sire and comes from a strong damline; worth a market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (50/1 -52%) Blue Soul |
50/1(-52%) | (2) Blue Soul 50/1, Foaled May 2. Blue Point filly. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner (stayed 7f) out of useful winner up to 1¾m (2-y-o 7f winner) Right Key. Betting should provide a useful guide ahead of debut. By an exciting first-season sire and could go well but seems stable second-string. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (8.5/1 +6%) Do Si Do |
8.5/1(+6%) | (3) Do Si Do 8.5/1, Foaled April 24. 120,000 gns 2-y-o, Kodiac filly. Half-sister to 7f/1m winner Kimnkate. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner. Makes appeal on paper and she's another worth noting if the market spoke in her favour on racecourse bow. By a leading sire of 2yos and from a yard that does very well with breeze-up horses. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (100/1 -100%) Rosato |
100/1(-100%) | (8) Rosato 100/1, Foaled March 24. €8,000 foal, Raven's Pass filly. Dam unraced out of winning half-sister to dam of very smart 1m (including Hong Kong Mile) winner Admire Mars. Cost 8,000euros as a foal; finished 4th in a Dundalk barrier trial; could run well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (125/1 -25%) Avanti Avana |
125/1(-25%) | (1) Avanti Avana 125/1, Twice-raced filly. 80/1, eighth of 11 in maiden at this C&D (good) 18 days ago, not knocked about. That was an effort not devoid of encouragement but nurseries likely to be more her bag. Showed no improvement from Dundalk debut when beaten 8l over C&D last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (11) (200/1 -33%) Victor's Choice |
200/1(-33%) | (11) Victor's Choice 200/1, Twice-raced filly. 150/1, last of 6 in minor event at Roscommon (7.2f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Hard to make a case for. Huge improvement needed on the form of her two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (9) (28/1 +58%) Spicy Water |
28/1(+58%) | (9) Spicy Water 28/1, Thrice-raced filly. 12/1, ninth of 16 in maiden at Cork (6f, good) 48 days ago, weakening over 1f out. Cheekpieces reached for now but handicaps likely to be more her bag. Best of three runs came over 7f at Limerick on second start (hung left); cheekpieces now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
While Sweetest is sure to prove all the rage, it might be worth taking her on. Returned an odds-on chance on her two starts to date, she had to settle for minor honours on both occasions. For a selection, EMERALD BANNER gets the nod. A sister to Group 1 winner Millisle, she improved from start one to two, going down by just three-parts-of-a-length on her latest outing at Navan. Vivienda ran a fine race to finish third on debut over the course and distance last month and with that experience under her belt, it'll come as no surprise if she manages to go a few places better now. Ringabella is perhaps the most interesting of the five newcomers in the line-up. She holds an entry in the Cheveley Park Stakes and is a half-sister to Waikuku and Waipiro, with the former a three-time winner at the highest level in Hong Kong.
SWEETEST again failed to justify cramped odds in a C&D maiden 18 days ago, yet that shouldn't detract from what was another promising effort from Aidan O'Brien's filly and, with further progress on the cards, she can make it third time lucky. Emerald Banner, back up in trip, and Vivienda, who was a place behind the selection on her debut, head up the dangers.
Having gone close against what looks a smart colt over 5f at Navan last time, EMERALD BANNER can go one better today.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (7/1 +13%) Laugier Night |
7/1(+13%) | (2) Laugier Night 7/1, Foaled March 28. €160,000 yearling, Night of Thunder colt. Half-brother to useful 2-y-o 6f-1m winner La Pelosa and 2-y-o 5f winner Melayu Kingdom. Dam unraced. Likely type on paper but a while since yard last had a winning 2-y-o newcomer. A 160,000euros yearling is by a quality sire and yard remains in good form; market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (5/1 -100%) Mr Saturday |
5/1(-100%) | (5) Mr Saturday 5/1, Lightly-raced gelding. 4/1, fifth of 8 in nursery at Navan (5.8f, good to soft) 14 days ago. Sets the standard and big run expected. Beaten 5l in a Navan nursery last time and will have to improve on that back to a maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (28/1 -12%) Valentino Express |
28/1(-12%) | (7) Valentino Express 28/1, Tongue strap on, 6¾ lengths sixth of 11 to Mctenett in C&D maiden (25/1) on debut 18 days ago, slowly away. Should improve but has plenty to find. Ran with promise over C&D on recent debut after being slowly away; should improve plenty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

66/1(+34%) | (3) Livin It Up 66/1, €45,000 yearling, Showcasing gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 9.5f winner Hayyan and 6f winner Pokhara. Tenth of 13 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, good to soft, 100/1) on debut 26 days ago. Lots more needed. Beaten 14l at the Curragh when a big price on debut; needs to find loads of improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (28/1 -56%) Tsunami Speed |
28/1(-56%) | (6) Tsunami Speed 28/1, Foaled March 10. 42,000 gns foal, €105,000 yearling, U S Navy Flag colt. Half-brother to 6f-1m winner Mostallim and useful 9.5f winner Technique. Dam 1½m winner. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (50/1 +0%) Amerigo Vespucci |
50/1(+0%) | (1) Amerigo Vespucci 50/1, Twice-raced colt. 50/1, eighth of 15 in maiden at the Curragh (6f, good) 33 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Little appeal. Regressed from first to second start and looks more one for handicaps. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Out of American Grade 3 winner Hostess, MILITARY won't have to be a star to take this on debut. Bought for 375,000 guineas as a yearling, the Siyouni colt holds a whole host of big race entries. The 84-rated Mr Saturday is the obvious danger. He filled the runner-up spot on his first two starts, but has been disappointing since. Ger Lyons looks to have found a nice opportunity for the Blue Point gelding and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to make the breakthrough. Darren Bunyan has his horses in fine form of late and his Valentino Express warrants respect after finishing a solid sixth on debut over the course and distance. Laugier Night is a half-brother to La Pelosa, a winner at the highest level in America, and the Noel Meade-trained colt is another for the shortlist.
MILITARY makes plenty of appeal on paper starting out for Aidan O'Brien and boasts some tasty entries, so it would be no surprise to see him make a winning start in a pretty thin maiden. Mr Saturday sets the standard and is the clear danger.
The expensively-bought Ballydoyle colt MILITARY is by the same sire as current stars Paddington and Tahiyra, so could well win on debut

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
KING CUAN didn't live up to market expectations when fourth to Nemonte at the Curragh in May when both horses were making their debuts. Given plenty of time to mature by Paddy Twomey, the Tasleet colt bolted up in a maiden on quick ground at Cork last week and can reverse form with his Curragh conqueror. Nemonte, who recorded a second win at Roscommon last month, hasn't been able to land a blow in Group company including at Leopardstown last weekend and may be better suited by an extra furlong. James's Delight made a winning start at Newbury in July and wasn't beaten far when fourth in another novice contest at Windsor. Jakajaro has shown smart form in nurseries and was giving away lumps of weight when fourth to Duplantis at the Curragh last month.
A valuable contest. KING CUAN looked highly promising when effortlessly drawing clear of his rivals in a Cork auction event last week and could take a bit of stopping assuming he can cope with 2 outings in fairly quick succession. The Clive Cox-trained British raider James's Delight is another who is likely capable of better after only 2 starts and is second choice ahead of Jakajaro and Nemonte.
Given a break after being an unlucky loser behind Nemonte on debut, KING CUAN bolted up at Cork recently and will take stopping.

8.5/1(+74%) | (6) Milliethemollie 8.5/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 10/1, fourth of 5 in maiden at Ayr (5.5f, soft) 45 days ago. Hood on 1st time, tongue strap on 1st time. Makes handicap debut. Struggled on soft ground at Ayr last time, previous C&D run was quite encouraging. |

9/1(+64%) | (11) Oak Allye 9/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Sixth of 9 in nursery at Sligo (5.7f, good to soft, 17/2) 36 days ago. Risky proposition at present. First two nursery attempts at Cork and Sligo offer no encouragement, 3lb out of handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (4.5/1 +55%) Si Senior |
4.5/1(+55%) | (3) Si Senior 4.5/1, Lightly-raced winner. Winner at Sligo in August. Seventh of 8 in nursery at Navan (5.8f, good to soft, 10/3) 14 days ago. Ruined her chance at Navan by hanging left, looked useful when winning a maiden at Slgo. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (2.5/1 +17%) Buddy Batt |
2.5/1(+17%) | (1) Buddy Batt 2.5/1, Lightly-raced winner. 11/2, career best when winning 8-runner maiden at Bellewstown (5f, good) 16 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Has to be taken seriously. Beat a shorter-priced stablemate in a maiden at Bellewstown, opening mark looks reasonable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (5.5/1 +0%) Veracidad |
5.5/1(+0%) | (8) Veracidad 5.5/1, Visored for 1st time, creditable third of 8 in nursery (10/1) at Navan (5.8f, good to soft) 14 days ago. Placed in two of her three nursery outings, 3/4l behind Glamorously when third at Navan. |

33/1(+0%) | (9) Go On Go On Uhavit 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 80/1, sixth of 8 in maiden at Navan (5f, good to soft) 14 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Has competed over three different trips, 6f run at Dundalk arguably her best display. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (18/1 -13%) Wrestling Revenue |
18/1(-13%) | (2) Wrestling Revenue 18/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Fifth of 6 in maiden at Cork (6f, good to firm, 25/1) 8 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Two ordinary runs but worth considering on the basis of a good run over 6f at this venue. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BUDDY BATT, from a useful sprinting family, led home a 1-2-4 for the Bunyan stable in a Bellewstown maiden over this trip last month. He goes well for 7lb claimer Dean Curran and can make a successful transition to handicap company. Glamorously ran well in a C&D maiden in July and had Veracidad back in third when runner-up in a nursery over a bit further at Navan. She was no match for the winner who lines up in the preceding sales race but may be suited by the return to the minimum distance. Si Senior didn't give her running last time when well behind Glamorously but if returning to the form of her maiden win at Sligo would be a major player while Milliethemollie ran well over C&D on her second start and may be able to make an impact with headgear fitted for her handicap bow.
BUDDY BATT showed big improvement when off the mark in a Bellewstown maiden and he's taken to follow up off what looks a handy opening mark. Glamorously and Veracidad can place again.
With Dean Curran taking off 7lb BUDDY BATT has good prospects of adding to his Bellewstown maiden win.

10/1(-33%) | (1) Enthralling 10/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Creditable third of 8 in nursery at Killarney (8.1f, good, 9/2) 21 days ago. Stable in good form. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Another bold show likely. Cheekpieces tried now after Killarney third, a bit to find with runner-up Basilah Bear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (7/1 -27%) Guest Star |
7/1(-27%) | (4) Guest Star 7/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 6/1 and blinkered for 1st time, good neck second of 10 to Nika Pika in maiden at Navan (8f, good to soft) 14 days ago, slowly away. Enters calculations. Made little impact over 6f on his nursery debut, second over 1m last time but in a claimer. |

9th (10) (66/1 -32%) Francoise Ardy |
66/1(-32%) | (10) Francoise Ardy 66/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 16/1, sixth of 8 in nursery at Killarney (8.1f, good) 21 days ago. Has work to do. Remote sixth in a nursery at Killarney last time, well held by runner-up Basilah Bear. |

11th (5) (11/1 -175%) Thia |
11/1(-175%) | (5) Thia 11/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Tongue strap on for 1st time, fifth of 11 in maiden (12/1) at Roscommon (7.2f, good), unable to sustain effort. Off 105 days. Makes handicap debut. Third of five in a maiden at the Curragh in April, gelded since well beaten at Roscommon. |

12th (13) (40/1 +39%) Rogerwaswrong |
40/1(+39%) | (13) Rogerwaswrong 40/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Sixth of 9 in nursery (28/1) at Down Royal (7f, good to firm) 6 days ago, slowly away. Visored for 1st time. Looked in need of further when running over 7f in his first nursery, 4lb out of handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (2) (9/1 -29%) Nika Pika |
9/1(-29%) | (2) Nika Pika 9/1, Career best when winning 10-runner maiden (10/1) at Navan (8f, good to soft) 14 days ago by neck from Guest Star, just holding on. Overcame trouble in running to beat Guest Star in a claimer, may uphold that form now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Most of these are open to plenty of improvement on just their first or second starts in handicap company and a chance is taken with TATUM. Noel Meade's daughter of Postponed will probably be one for middle distances next term and will appreciate stepping up to this stiff mile having kept on steadily into fifth in a Galway festival maiden. In-form Jamie Powell's claim leaves her with a nice light weight. Shane Foley sticks with Navan runner-up Guest Star who renews rivalry with Nika Pika but Jessica Harrington's other runner, Pomeriggio, is also of interest in first-time headgear. She stayed on for third at Roscommon and is stoutly bred on the damside so may improve for this longer distance. Sun Never Sets, also fitted with cheekpieces, is another that looks ready for a mile having finished well over 7f when third in a Curragh nursery.
The return to this trip looks a good thing where SUN NEVER SETS is concerned after she kept on into third behind the progressive Asian Daze at the Curragh recently. The addition of cheekpieces may also help eke out a bit more and she gets the nod ahead of Guest Star, who was just touched off by Nika Pika at Navan a fortnight ago and enjoys a healthy pull at the weights with that rival here. Basilah Bear and Enthralling are others with claims in what looks a competitive nursery.
This looks very open. SUN NEVER SETS gets a hopeful vote to step up after a couple of third placings

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BRIGHT STRIPES ran a cracker in the valuable Ballyhane Stakes here last month and could prove hard to beat now back in maiden company. The Starsspangledbanner colt ran on strongly close home when third to Golden Trick in the E300,000 contest and a repeat of that performance should be enough to collect now. Byzantine Empress has been knocking on the door but has a mark of 68 and it would be disappointing if Bright Stripes couldn't account for her despite giving away half a stone. Ocean Odyssey could be a potential improver in the field. He went to post favourite on his debut at Leopardstown but after running freely early found trouble in running down the straight before finishing fifth to Making Time. He's capable of stepping forward from that.
While several of these are open to improvement, BRIGHT STRIPES nevertheless stands out on the back his fine effort in a valuable 6f sales race here last month. This step up in trip will be in his favour and he will surely prove hard to beat. Take Me To Church and Ocean Odyssey, both of whom shaped well on their respective debuts at Cork and Leopardstown, are feared most in that order of preference, while Special Angel may also build on the promise she showed at Dundalk.
Best of the home team when third in a valuable sales race here last month, BRIGHT STRIPES will be hard to beat in this company

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
All eyes will be on GALLANTLY here with the Frankel colt rumoured to be the horse that Seamie Heffernan was referring to when he said that the best Ballydoyle two-year-old had yet to hit the track. The Frankel colt is the first foal of French Guineas winner Precieuse and holds an entry in next month's Dewhurst. No form to go in this and the market may prove the best guide. Jessica Harrington's newcomer Bluedrum is by Blue Point and she is out of Drumfad Bay, a listed winner for the yard a few years ago. Donnacha O'Brien's charge At Dawn is another nicely bred debutante. She is by the legendary Galileo out of Group 3 winner Coral Beach.
Aidan O'Brien and Jessica Harrington have dominated this newcomers' maiden and GALLANTLY and Bluedrum might be the pair to focus on before market clues. Keeper's Heart is another to note.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained GALLANTLY sticks out here as a colt by Frankel out of a French Guineas winner. He is rumoured to be smart.
Ths is the racecard key.
