The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The market will provide vital clues to the relative merits of the many newcomers and FAIRY GODMOTHER is an obvious candidate from Ballydoyle. The Night Of Thunder filly cost 425,000gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to a Listed-placed juvenile winner. Moyglare Stud Farm have two interesting contenders in Sparkling Sea, by Starspangledbanner out of a winning Dark Angel mare, and Zharova (by Kingman), who cost 140,000gns as a yearling and is a half-sister to two speedy winners. Alumni Lia, Cold Hearted and Red Veil are others to consider, while Cradle Of Love was a promising third on debut at Dundalk.
This maiden has been won by some good fillies in the past. ZHAROVA is one of several likely-looking types and she will be very appealing indeed if the market vibes are upbeat. Aidan O'Brien has saddled three of the last five winners of this race and his representative Fairy Godmother is also of strong interest. The clear pick of the few with experience is Cradle of Love and she merits respect, while Cold Hearted and Sparkling Sea are two more noteworthy debutantes to consider.
A chance is taken on ZHAROVA to make a winning debut for a yard that has started the season in cracking style, She is bred to be speedy

6/1(+57%) | (14) Tai Tam Bay 6/1, 6/1, fourth of 5 in nursery at Leopardstown (7.1f, heavy). Off 6 months. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Fairly consistent in defeat last year at around this trip; 3lb wrong so has it to do. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (15/2 +6%) Velvet Skies |
15/2(+6%) | (9) Velvet Skies 15/2, Creditable second of 14 in handicap (7/1) at Dundalk (6f) 24 days ago, no match for winner. Not taken lightly. Recent AW form puts him in the mix; ground okay too. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (12) (14/1 +0%) Barley Cove |
14/1(+0%) | (12) Barley Cove 14/1, Eighth of 11 in nursery at Galway (7f, heavy, 11/1). Off 6 months. Looks competitive on form. Navan form with Glamorously gives him a definite shout off light weight. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (20/1 -67%) Elinor Dashwood |
20/1(-67%) | (4) Elinor Dashwood 20/1, Lightly-raced winner. Last of 6 in nursery (7/1) at Ayr (7.2f, good to soft), unsuited by step up in trip. Off 7 months. First run for yard after leaving Kevin Ryan. Others have achieved more. A 45,000gns buy from Kevin Ryan's; high enough mark for Irish debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (28/1 -180%) Glamorously |
28/1(-180%) | (2) Glamorously 28/1, C&D winner. Latest win here in October. Eleventh of 12 in handicap at this course (7f, heavy, 33/1) 36 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. 7f on heavy ground too severe a test here last month; 6f and better ground to suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (15/8 +37%) Goal Exceeded |
15/8(+37%) | (1) Goal Exceeded 15/8, Lightly-raced winner. C&D winner. One win from 3 runs last year. 4/1, respectable fourth of 11 in handicap at Cork (5f, heavy) 30 days ago, keeping on well. Has to be taken seriously. Drop to 5f didn't really work out on seasonal/handicap debut; return to 6f to suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (9/2 -29%) Heavenly Being |
9/2(-29%) | (5) Heavenly Being 9/2, Winner at Navan in October. 11/4, creditable third of 9 in minor event at the Curragh (5f, heavy) 9 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Something to find on form. Recent Curragh third a solid run; visor won't need to bring much improvement to feature. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (5/1 +17%) Clarita |
5/1(+17%) | (3) Clarita 5/1, 9/4, career best when winning 14-runner maiden at Dundalk (7f), driven out. Off 136 days and she merits respect up 5 lb. Dundalk winner in December when last seen; ground coming in her favour. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (18/1 -13%) Au Lait |
18/1(-13%) | (13) Au Lait 18/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Visored for 1st time, good third of 6 in maiden at this C&D (heavy, 7/2). Off 6 months. Makes handicap debut and more needed. Didn't progress in three starts last year; not an obvious player here on quicker ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (33/1 -230%) Lively Set |
33/1(-230%) | (8) Lively Set 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Tenth of 11 in maiden (9/2) at Gowran (8.3f, heavy), ridden too aggressively. Off 6 months. Back down in trip. First run for yard after leaving W. McCreery. Makes handicap debut. Initial 2yo promise with Willie McCreery not fulfilled; bit to prove on yard debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (100/1 -203%) Gentileschi |
100/1(-203%) | (6) Gentileschi 100/1, Last of 12 in handicap at this course (7f, heavy, 125/1) 36 days ago. Best to look elsewhere. Ex French-trained; nothing so far for current yard, best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (100/1 -400%) She's Smart |
100/1(-400%) | (7) She's Smart 100/1, Lightly-raced maiden. First run since leaving David Evans when tenth of 13 in maiden at Dundalk (6f, 20/1) 17 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Needs to raise her game. Modest enough yard debut at Dundalk recently, will need to come on a lot to feature. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
GOAL EXCEEDED beat the progressive Take Me To Church in a maiden on soft ground over C&D last autumn and the form of his reappearance when finishing well over the minimum trip at Cork has also been working out well since. Jessica Harrington has a strong hand, with riding arrangements suggesting Heavenly Being, a close-up third at the Curragh recently, is preferred to Glamorously, whose two wins last year included the Birdcatcher at this venue. Branding showed some promise on soft ground here last year, while Dundalk winner Clarita and Lively Set, with Dylan Browne McMonagle booked on her handicap debut, are others to consider.
GOAL EXCEEDED landed a C&D maiden on the third of this three starts at 2 yrs and shaped well when fourth on his handicap debut over 5f at Cork last month. He is entitled to come on for that run and makes plenty of appeal off the same mark back at 6f. Next on the list is Velvet Skies, who has found just one too good on each of his two starts on the all-weather this season. Clarita, off the mark at Dundalk when last seen in December, is best of the rest.

1st (4) (10/1 -67%) Laugh A Minute |
10/1(-67%) | (4) Laugh A Minute 10/1, Creditable third of 12 in handicap (7/1) at the Curragh (5f, heavy) 8 days ago, never nearer. One to consider for the Ado McGuinness yard. Finishing well over 5f of late, every chance again upped in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/2 +38%) Stag Night |
5/2(+38%) | (2) Stag Night 5/2, C&D winner. 5/1, career best when winning 11-runner handicap at Cork (5f, heavy) 30 days ago. Should go well again under Billy Lee. Recent Cork winner handles this better ground; 4lb rise okay so one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (12/1 -85%) Apache Outlaw |
12/1(-85%) | (3) Apache Outlaw 12/1, Latest win at Dundalk in March. Respectable seventh of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW, 15/2) 31 days ago. In good form on AW recently, contender if transferring it to turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

17/2(-21%) | (5) Jon Riggens 17/2, Creditable 4¾ lengths second of 10 to Stag Night in handicap at this C&D (soft, 5/1). Off 6 months. Big turnaround in weights with Stag Night on C&D second in October but lacks a recent run. |

11/2(+54%) | (10) Tough Talk 11/2, 20/1, creditable fifth of 21 in handicap at the Curragh (6f, heavy) 9 days ago. Trainer going well. Should go well again. Signs of temperament on recent comeback; on a fair mark though and ground to suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

16/1(+0%) | (11) Collective Power 16/1, Three wins from 17 runs last year. Latest win at Dundalk in February. Creditable length third of 10 to Apache Outlaw in handicap at Dundalk (6f, 5/1) 38 days ago, slowly away. Touched off over C&D last summer and good recent AW form; claims. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (14/1 -40%) Mickey The Steel |
14/1(-40%) | (9) Mickey The Steel 14/1, Latest win at the Curragh in November. Respectable seventh of 12 in handicap at the Curragh (5f, heavy, 10/1) 8 days ago. Enters calculations. Fair bit to find on recent form although handicapper relenting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (12/1 -167%) Twilight Jet |
12/1(-167%) | (1) Twilight Jet 12/1, C&D winner. 6½ lengths last of 12 to Dun Na Sead in Mercury Stakes (12/1) at Dundalk (5f). Off 6 months. Makes handicap debut. Needs to bounce back. Group winner runs well fresh and begins this season off a much reduced mark so respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (14) (11/1 +21%) Dagoda |
11/1(+21%) | (14) Dagoda 11/1, Creditable fourth of 21 in handicap at the Curragh (6f, heavy, 25/1) 9 days ago, nearest finish. Recent Curragh eyecatcher; interesting contender, better ground no problem. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (40/1 -60%) Something Nice |
40/1(-60%) | (8) Something Nice 40/1, Eleventh of 12 in handicap (33/1) at the Curragh (5f, heavy) on reappearance 8 days ago. Tame recent comeback run concerning and trip on the short side. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (40/1 -60%) Verhoyen |
40/1(-60%) | (12) Verhoyen 40/1, 50/1, tenth of 12 in handicap at the Curragh (5f, heavy) 8 days ago. 9yo yet to hit form this season and remains opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (18/1 +10%) Volatile Analyst |
18/1(+10%) | (13) Volatile Analyst 18/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. 2/1, last of 7 in handicap at Dundalk (7f) 89 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Went close on AW over the winter; bit to find on C&D run in October, last turf outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (6) (28/1 -40%) Physique |
28/1(-40%) | (6) Physique 28/1, 4/1, below form fifth of 11 in handicap at Goodwood (7f, heavy), faring best of those held up. Off 9 months. First run for yard after leaving Paul & Oliver Cole. 28,000gns buy out of the Coles' yard; wouldn't want it much softer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Stag Night beat JON RIGGENS by nearly five lengths on testing ground over C&D last autumn and has continued to progress this term, showing good speed to score over the minimum trip at Cork last month. However, the pair now renew rivalry on 18lb different terms and Eddie Lynam's three-time winner can reverse the placings. Apache Outlaw won twice at Dundalk over the winter and lost his chance at the start in Lingfield on Good Friday, while stablemate Laugh A Minute comes here off two solid placed efforts at the Curragh. Twilight Jet has won twice at Group 3 level, including the Lacken Stakes at this venue, and has been given a chance by the handicapper this year.
MICKEY THE STEEL has dipped below the mark he defied at the Curragh last autumn and might be worth chancing after taking a step back in the right direction back at the Curragh recently. Stag Night rates an obvious danger on the back of his Cork success at the end of March. Tough Talk and Laugh A Minute also make the shortlist.
An open-looking handicap in which a bit of value may be had in DAGODA, who caught the eye on her recent seasonal return at the Curragh

28/1(-133%) | (5) Coachello 28/1, Smart gelding. Latest win at Newcastle in December. Tenth of 14 in handicap (18/1) at Newcastle (6f) 31 days ago. Third to Moss Tucker in this 12 months ago. Useful sort was below form last time but goes well on easy ground and considered. |

6th (4) (33/1 -136%) Big Gossey |
33/1(-136%) | (4) Big Gossey 33/1, Useful gelding. Latest win at the Curragh in November. 4¼ lengths fourth of 6 to Yosemite Valley in Gladness Stakes at the Curragh (7f, heavy, 20/1) 8 days ago, running on. Back down in trip. First run for yard after leaving Michaal O'Callaghan. Betting perhaps the best guide to expectations after such a long lay-off. Group-placed as a 2yo in Europe; not as effective in USA last year; has a bit to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (100/1 -100%) Amazon Lady |
100/1(-100%) | (9) Amazon Lady 100/1, Fairly useful filly. 14¾ lengths seventh of 9 to Easy in listed race (25/1) at Cork (6f, heavy) 30 days ago. Cheekpieces on for 1st time. Uphill task. Useful filly has run well at this level before but has plenty to find to score. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (80/1 -60%) Gabriella's Spirit |
80/1(-60%) | (10) Gabriella's Spirit 80/1, Useful mare. Well-beaten last of 14 to Aussie Girl in listed race at the Curragh (6f, soft, 28/1). Off 6 months. Moss Tucker surely the stable first string. Three-time winner has been placed in this grade but this is a strong listed race. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
OCEAN QUEST got last season off to an impressive start, beating Aesop's Fables by six lengths in the Committed Stakes on heavy ground at Navan, and the Jessica Harrington-trained filly again put up a smart performance in the Group 3 Ballyogan Stakes here in August. Her form tailed off towards the end of last term, but hopefully she bounces back with the yard in good form. Go Athletico won three times with cut in the ground last year and the form of his win in the Group 3 Renaissance Stakes at the Curragh, with Big Gossey in second and both Aesop's Fables and Ocean Quest well behind in third and fourth, reads well. Moss Tucker gives away weight to all, but won this last year and went on to land the Group 1 Flying Five at the Curragh.
AESOP'S FABLES can make the most of the 5 lb he receives from Moss Tucker and prevent Ken Condon's charge landing this for a second year running. Jessie Harrington's Ocean Quest won at listed level on her 2023 reappearance and looks best of the remainder.
OCEAN QUEST(nap) isn't far behind the best of these, she goes particularly well fresh and at this track, so can take their measure

18/1(-125%) | (7) Purple Sky 18/1, Promising sort. Fifth of 7 in maiden (22/1) at Leopardstown (10f, heavy) on debut 19 days ago. Should progress. Showed some ability on debut and should have improved from that, so could run well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) (7/2 -27%) Tranquillitatis |
7/2(-27%) | (12) Tranquillitatis 7/2, Kingman filly. Half-sister to smart winner up to 10.7f Piz Badile and useful 6f winner Yosemite Valley. One to note. Well-bred; respected on debut for an in-form yard, especially if strong in the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (100/1 -525%) Chick Flick |
100/1(-525%) | (2) Chick Flick 100/1, Thrice-raced filly. Tenth of 11 in maiden at Dundalk (10.7f, 20/1) 16 days ago. Best of three maiden runs came over 1m at this track; way below that form at Dundalk since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (80/1 -21%) Billie Frechette |
80/1(-21%) | (1) Billie Frechette 80/1, Twice-raced filly. 100/1, ninth of 11 in maiden at Dundalk (10.7f) 16 days ago, not knocked about. Well held in two maidens and handicaps will be more realistic after today.. |

9th (8) (15/2 +46%) Realt Na Ri |
15/2(+46%) | (8) Realt Na Ri 15/2, Kingman filly. Sister to very smart 1m winner Fox Chairman and half-sister to numerous winners, including very smart 1m-10.4f winner Foxes Tales. Dam unraced. Top-class pedigree and worth keeping an eye on but stable jockey prefers Improvista. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (28/1 -40%) Sing A New Song |
28/1(-40%) | (9) Sing A New Song 28/1, Teofilo filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 7f winner Feminista and 9.4f winner Dawn Session. Dam maiden (stayed 7f). Second runner for yard and could be capable of getting involved on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (80/1 +20%) Time Out |
80/1(+20%) | (11) Time Out 80/1, Time Test filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including winner up to 1¾m Billy No Mates and 11.2f winner Fond Farewell. Not a bad pedigree but best watched for future reference. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) (150/1 -50%) Glowing Bird |
150/1(-50%) | (4) Glowing Bird 150/1, Once-raced filly. 50/1, ninth of 12 in maiden at the Curragh (10f, heavy) on debut 9 days ago. Beaten a long way on debut and enormous improvement is required. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
TRANQUILLITATIS' two half-siblings were black-type performers for her trainer, including the smart Piz Badile, and she is out of a Listed-winning half-sister to Oaks winner Light Shift. Unraced as a juvenile, she now at least debuts at a good time of year and could be capable. Fleetingly flopped on debut here last month but is likely to prove better than that. She was probably unsuited by heavy ground then and while she also travelled lazily, first-time blinkers are applied and she has an excellent pedigree. Hasna showed nice ability when finishing second to an experienced winner at Dundalk in February and while she faces a tougher task, should improve. Chick Flick finished ahead of Fleetingly last month but was well held since, while Improvista (who runs in a first-time tongue-tie) and Purple Sky were both well held on debut.
HASNA showed plenty to work on when runner-up in a Dundalk maiden and is bound to improve for this longer trip (from the family of connections' Derby winner Harzand). Fleetingly failed to meet expectations on debut here 5 weeks ago but she's worth another chance on better ground, while Kingman filly Tranquillitatis is a newcomer to note.
The beautifully-bred TRANQUILLITATIS is chosen to make a winning debut for a yard that has started the season in flying form.

9/4(+44%) | (4) Marty The Party 9/4, Thrice-raced maiden. 7/4, second of 15 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, heavy) 42 days ago, clear of rest. Makes handicap debut. Clear Curragh second; potential remains and opening mark looks quite attractive. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (13/2 -44%) Cardinal Zin |
13/2(-44%) | (8) Cardinal Zin 13/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Excellent second of 9 on handicap bow at Gowran (8f, soft, 4/1) on return 5 days ago, edged out dying strides. Obvious claims off same mark. Just denied over this trip at Gowran last week; major chance off same mark. |

4th (6) (18/1 -29%) Gibbs Island |
18/1(-29%) | (6) Gibbs Island 18/1, Lightly-raced winner. Seventh of 10 in handicap at Leopardstown (10f, heavy, 14/1) 22 days ago. Didn't seem to stay 1m2f latest; suited by drop in trip but bit to find. |

12/1(+0%) | (5) Starliner 12/1, Creditable sixth of 14 in nursery (5/1) at Dundalk (7f). Off 6 months. Didn't build on Listowel maiden win; bit to prove now on return. |

6th (1) (5/2 +9%) Air Commander |
5/2(+9%) | (1) Air Commander 5/2, Thrice-raced winner. Won 14-runner maiden at Dundalk (7f, 4/7) 24 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Open to improvement. Dundalk winner likely more to offer upped in trip for handicap debut. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (10/1 +29%) Going Remote |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (28/1 -100%) Port Louis |
28/1(-100%) | (7) Port Louis 28/1, Lightly-raced winner. 9/2 and tongue strap on for 1st time, fourth of 6 in minor event at Roscommon (7.2f, good to soft). Off 7 months. Makes handicap debut off a fair mark on pick of form. Ended last term on an underwhelming note; others preferred on return. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SNELLEN's rating of 92 almost seems too good to be true, having won the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last June. She was green on debut, and again drifted left when scoring at Ascot, and while disappointing in the Debutante Stakes in August, ran a solid race at Group 3 level last October. That form is strong as the winner subsequently finished fourth at Group 1 level, the runner-up finished second in a recent Guineas trial, while both the third and fifth each won recent Group races. Air Commander is race-fit and battled well to win at Dundalk recently. He, too, should better his rating but might struggle to beat the selection. The race-fit Marty The Party should also compete from his initial handicap rating of 85 and easy ground would suit, while Cardinal Zin is proven in handicaps. Spanish Flame beat recent Cork winner Bremen at Tipperary last July, but disappointed subsequently and has been gelded.
CARDINAL ZIN showed much improved form on handicap debut when just edged out at Gowran on his comeback on Wednesday and has obvious claims off the same mark if this doesn't come too soon. Air Commander rates a useful prospect and looks the main threat ahead of Port Louis.
MARTY THE PARTY looks just the type to thrive as a 3yo and begins the season on quite an attractive mark

1st (11) (33/1 +0%) Calamint |
33/1(+0%) | (11) Calamint 33/1, Below form eighth of 14 in handicap (80/1) at Dundalk (1m) in September, never better than midfield. Absent since but interesting what the market makes of her now starting out for new stable. Down to a career-low mark on first start for new yard so not one to entirely rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (9/1 +44%) Stormy Jenn |
9/1(+44%) | (1) Stormy Jenn 9/1, Winless last term but bounced back to best when third in 19-runner handicap at the Curragh (10f, heavy) in October. Absent since finishing well held at Dundalk (10.7f) a month later and she's often needed a run to bring her on. Ideally would prefer further but Colin Keane booking can't be ignored on seasonal return. |

3rd (19) (13/2 +35%) Naisiun |
13/2(+35%) | (19) Naisiun 13/2, Winner here (7f) in March. Below form tenth of 27 in handicap at the Curragh (6f, heavy, 14/1) 8 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Step back up in trip rates a plus and better showing anticipated. Winner here last month over 7f, drop in trip didn't suit since; up in trip here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (17) (33/1 +0%) Captured |
33/1(+0%) | (17) Captured 33/1, Well-beaten in handful of starts last years but didn't shape too badly on back of 4 months off when fifth of 16 in handicap at Leopardstown (7.1f, heavy) 19 days ago, still plenty to do home turn and making late headway. Return to 1m rates a plus on that evidence. Struggling off basement mark both on AW and on recent turf return; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (16) (7/2 +71%) Atbay |
7/2(+71%) | (16) Atbay 7/2, Blinkered for 1st time, bit below form fourth of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, heavy, 5/1) 19 days ago, going off too hard. Not out of things returned to 1m provided this doesn't come too soon. Okay efforts on all three starts since March return but more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (14) (11/1 -38%) More Profit |
11/1(-38%) | (14) More Profit 11/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Hooded for 1st time, respectable third of 12 in claimer at Dundalk (7f, 9/1). Off 150 days. Makes handicap debut. More needed. Lightly raced 3yo with scope for improvement on handicap debut; market interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (8/1 +43%) Hale Bopp |
8/1(+43%) | (6) Hale Bopp 8/1, C&D winner. Creditable third of 14 in handicap at Dundalk (8f, 16/1) 24 days ago. Cheekpieces back on and not out of things from this sort of mark returned to turf. Generally consistent of late on AW but won't want too much rain back on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (13) (6/1 -33%) So Messi |
6/1(-33%) | (13) So Messi 6/1, Creditable third of 15 in handicap (8/1) at Leopardstown (9f, heavy) 19 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and likely he has as race of this nature in him. Promising recent Leopardstown comeback run; cheekpieces now added to usual tongue tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (18) (13/2 +54%) Epaulawn |
13/2(+54%) | (18) Epaulawn 13/2, First run since leaving M. G. Quinn when fifth of 14 in handicap at Dundalk (12f, 50/1) 80 days ago, unable to sustain effort. That was his first start for 7 months and he's one to keep an eye on. Okay yard debut at Dundalk in February but hard to see him being major player back on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (7/1 -17%) Adhuil |
7/1(-17%) | (12) Adhuil 7/1, Remains a maiden after 16 Flat runs. 12/1, creditable second of 16 in handicap at Gowran (7f, soft) 5 days ago, would have benefited from stronger handling. Not out of things operating from same mark. Last week's Gowran second under today's rider; respected off same mark. |

11th (5) (33/1 -65%) Skontonovski |
33/1(-65%) | (5) Skontonovski 33/1, Fourteenth of 20 in handicap at Leopardstown (8f, heavy, 50/1) 22 days ago, weakening from 2f out. Bounce back not ruled out but a while since he got his head in front on turf. Heavy ground against him on recent turf return, this better ground should suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (15) (28/1 -100%) My Birthday Girl |
28/1(-100%) | (15) My Birthday Girl 28/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 28/1, fifth of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, heavy) 19 days ago, plugging on without posing a threat. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Comeback run at Leopardstown mildly promising but lots more required; cheekpieces tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (10) (33/1 -136%) Wayne R Walker |
33/1(-136%) | (10) Wayne R Walker 33/1, Remains a maiden after 23 Flat runs. Good third of 14 in handicap at Dundalk (7f, 40/1) 17 days ago, ridden over 1f out and keeping on. Each-way possibilities back on turf. A 27-race maiden; recent Dundalk third one of his better efforts but remains opposable. |

14th (9) (125/1 -279%) Xquise |
125/1(-279%) | (9) Xquise 125/1, 100/1, first run since leaving K. Tavares when seventeenth of 20 in handicap at Leopardstown (8f, heavy) on IRE debut 22 days ago. Others make greater appeal. Former French-trained filly; beaten a long way on recent Irish debut at Leopardstown. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (8) (80/1 -142%) Hastily |
80/1(-142%) | (8) Hastily 80/1, 100/1, eighteenth of 19 in handicap at the Curragh (5.9f, heavy). Off 6 months. Significantly back up in trip. Predicted rain a negative and seems best watched on seasonal return. |

16th (4) (80/1 -900%) Sapristi |
80/1(-900%) | (4) Sapristi 80/1, 4/1, fifth of 8 in handicap at Epsom (12f, good to firm). Off 6 months. Down in trip. First run for yard after leaving Tom Clover. Fairyhouse claiming winner in the past; yard debut and won't want too much rain. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
17th (3) (25/1 -213%) Fleetfootsoldier |
25/1(-213%) | (3) Fleetfootsoldier 25/1, Three wins from 8 runs last year. 14/1, creditable fourth of 12 in claimer at Dundalk (8f) 73 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Kevin Thomas Coleman. Enters calculations. Three-time winner claimed out of Kevin Coleman's at Dundalk in February. |

18th (20) (18/1 -29%) Judicial Reward |
18/1(-29%) | (20) Judicial Reward 18/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Ninth of 11 in maiden (250/1) at Leopardstown (8f, heavy) 22 days ago. Switch to handicaps a plus now but would need to see market confidence behind him to make him of interest. Very lightly raced 3yo a potential improver on handicap debut on better ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
19th (7) (80/1 -300%) Esticky End |
80/1(-300%) | (7) Esticky End 80/1, Unreliable type. Fourth of 11 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f, 20/1). Off 6 months. First run for yard after leaving David & Nicola Barron. Hood back on but he comes with risks attached having refused to race previously. Three-time winner in Britain for the Barron's but below best last year; best watched. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SO MESSI has a dreadful draw in 21, but is race-fit and ran well in a recent handicap. Placed in all three handicaps runs to date, he bumped into an unexposed winner at Leopardstown recently and while 2lb higher and wearing first-time cheekpieces, has form on yielding ground. Adhuil ran well at Gowran on Wednesday and although a 20-race maiden, his rider again claims 10lb and he should get involved. Naisiun won here in March and might be better suited to a mile than when finishing midfield in a recent Curragh handicap over 6f. Badly-drawn (17) Fleetfootsoldier has done most of his racing on the all-weather, but has a good record from three runs on turf and debuts for a new yard. Dual turf winner Hale Bopp has had a busy winter on the all-weather and is holding his form, while Atbay was seven lengths behind the selection (My Birthday Girl was fifth) at Leopardstown.
Following some underwhelming efforts over hurdles, SO MESSI ran up to his best returned to the Flat when third at Leopardstown 3 weeks ago and, still fairly lightly raced in this sphere, he could be up to defying this sort of mark. Fleetfootsoldier, Adhuil and Atbay are others to consider.
Wide open with a tentative selection going to SO MESSI on the back of a good Leopardstown run

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SUMMER SNOW is drawn wide in 20, but won easily on Wednesday and is officially 6lb ahead of the handicapper under her fixed penalty. All her best form, and both her wins, have come over 7f so stepping up to a mile is a concern, but she scored in a first-time tongue-tie at Gowran (Master Garvey finished seventh) and can progress a little further. Numidia returned from a break when running well at Dundalk recently, with his only win, albeit from 30 runs, being at this distance. Ano Manna won twice at Killarney last year before being involved in an identity mix-up at that track in September. She disappointed on her most recent run, but that was almost certainly due to heavy ground and she will be far better suited by drying conditions. Breezy Zoff has been well held recently but reverts back down to this grade and is race-fit. Sound Move ran reasonably well on recent handicap debut, while Lisabetta had some useful form last year.
A big field but it's still hard to ignore the claims of SUMMER SNOW, who made a sparking debut for her new yard at Gowran on Wednesday. Numida and Master Garvey are a couple of potential threats.
SUMMER SNOW is taken to follow up her easy Gowran 7f win five days ago despite carrying a 7lb penalty and drawn wide.
Ths is the racecard key.
