A consistent performer, the horses who defeated him in a heavy-ground 7f Galway maiden last month have won afterwards, while the winner of his Naas race similarly scored subsequently and his recent Champions Festival-placing reads well. Nobler, drawn wide in 14, ran promisingly on Galway debut where he finished his race quite well. He looks sure to improve and should be suited by a mile, but that Galway race wasn't overly strong and he now steps up meeting the selection. J M's Joy was a Navan eye-catcher last month and again has place claims, under a light weight.

A repeat of the form RIGHT AND TRUE has shown on his last 2 outings might be good enough here. Nobler rates an obvious danger after his promising debut third at Galway last month. Fivefortwo showed definite ability when sixth in a big field at Leopardstown on his debut and looks best of the rest.

Four-year-old DROP THE DIP is already a dual course-and-distance winner and her rating has recently fallen to a manageable level. Ground-versatile, she has failed to place this year but ran satisfactorily twice at the Galway Festival. While well held at that venue recently, she is 2lb lower today, has a nice draw and should compete. Three-year-old Dancing Steve seemed to benefit from dropping in distance recently and while 4lb higher than when winning at Tipperary, his same jockey was unable to utilise his 3lb claim then, and the third-placed horse has subsequently won. Nibras Rainbow defeated Shoot To Kill to score at Killarney and while he is 4lb higher and was beaten subsequently at Roscommon, today's rider claims 7lb.

Last year's winner DROP THE DIP is back on a good mark and might prove the answer to this race again. Nibras Rainbow arrives in form and is second choice ahead of recent Tipperary winner Dancing Steve and Wrist Art, who chased home the selection in this last year.

Wayne Hassett won twice on WRIST ART last term and Tim Doyle's 7yo, second in this year ago, seems to be running into a bit of form

With the form of his recent Curragh third having worked out exceptionally well, the Noel Meade-trained YOUNG CHURCHILL can open his account at the fifth time of asking. The winner of that aforementioned contest went on to land a premier handicap on Champions Weekend, while the second won her maiden next time out. Despite taking on a couple of unexposed potential improvers here, the gelding has crucial experience which should stand to him. Trapalanda ran a huge race on debut when runner-up at the Curragh in June. He subsequently backed up that performance when occupying a similar position at Roscommon. Strolling sets the standard off a mark of 82 but on collateral form she has something to find with Young Churchill.

It could be a case of third time lucky for TRAPALANDA, who has shown plenty of ability in finishing runner-up in maidens at the Curragh and Roscommon. Strolling will be a big threat if she puts her best foot forward, while Timurshah is third choice. Il Sovrano should pick up a race in due course and If You Let Me can be expected to leave last week's belated Flat debut form well behind in time.

A winner in France earlier in her career, the daughter of Sea The Moon has run well in higher grades than this throughout the summer months. Although somewhat disappointing at Clonmel last time, she is given the benefit of the doubt as she was forced to make the running in a small field. Redwood Queen, a six-time winner over hurdles including at this track, rates a live threat. Charles Byrnes saddled the runner-up in this race last year and in the shape of the seven-year-old, he looks to have a well handicapped mare. The Truant has been done no favours from a wide draw but is entitled to be competitive on his most recent form.

DUTY BOUND was success over fences last time and is appealing back in this sphere off an attractive mark. If Bold Approach puts his best foot forward he will be a big threat, while Red Secret should be in the thick of things once again. Desert Friend could have a part to play, too, and six-time hurdles winner Redwood Queen is interesting on her handicap bow in this sphere.
