13:15 Lingfield Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FIRST OFFICER was on target under Sorin Moldoveanu at Windsor last month and, given that he remains well treated off 4lb higher, another bold showing looks assured in this handicap. Roxanne was too keen to do herself justice at Doncaster a fortnight ago but she's potentially well handicapped if learning to settle better in her races, while Esmeray can chase the pair home.

ESMERAY was notably strong in the betting when third in a Pontefract 0-100 but ultimately shaped as if the outing was needed a shade more than the market expected. Ralph Beckett's filly can step forward dropped in grade with race fitness now on her side, though recent Windsor winner First Officer and Party Island, who scored on the AW track last time, also merit plenty of respect.

Having resumed this season where he left off last term, FIRST OFFICER (nap) can score again under Sorin Moldoveanu.

13:50 Lingfield Handicap (Class 2) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Aimeric rounded off last season with a comfortable Beverley success and he could be up to defying a subsequent 6lb hike in the ratings, but IF NOT NOW could offer some value. A bloodless winner on his handicap debut in May of last year, he was far from disgraced when fifth in the German Derby next time. Soft ground was his undoing at Doncaster in September, but the son of Iffraaj can get back on track. True Legend heads the remainder.

AIMERIC got back on the up when winning in taking fashion at Beverley when last seen and Roger Varian's gelding appeals as the type to make his mark felt in top-level handicaps this season, so this looks a good opportunity for him to make a winning return. Flash Bardot has a prolific recent record on slower ground and is hard to discount, whilst True Legend is also considered on his return after a progressive 3-y-o campaign.

The most likely principals look to be AIMERIC and True Legend, including as they both hit the ground running last term.

14:25 Lingfield Listed (Class 1) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

DANIELLE didn't have to come out of second gear when landing the spoils at Wetherby 13 days ago and she can further strengthen her Oaks claims by repelling the likely challenge of Treasure, who won over an extended mile at Nottingham when last seen. Stablemate You Got To Me should also benefit from a step up in trip having failed to make an impact in Listed company at Newmarket in November. Rubies Are Red should not be underestimated either.

DANIELLE is bred in the purple and looked a fine prospect when scoring by a wide-margin at Wetherby last time, so should be able to take this step up in grade in her stride. Molten Rock remains with potential after a satisfactory return at Longchamp, with the twice-placed Rubies Are Red also considered for the powerful Coolmore operation.

If any of these have produced a display that smacks of star quality it was surely DANIELLE when she scored with such ease at Wetherby.

15:00 Lingfield Listed (Class 1) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

DEFIANCE made a pleasing seasonal reappearance when staying on to finish second over 1m2f at Epsom last month and, over this extra yardage, he gets the vote to continue Roger Varian's recent good form. The Euphrates looked like a colt who was still learning his trade when shedding his maiden tag over an extended mile at Gowran Park last October and, after finishing second in a Leopardstown Group 3 last month, he commands respect for a trainer who has tasted success in four of the last 11 renewals. Imperial Sovereign is noted too.

This is rarely the strongest of Derby trials, but Aidan O'Brien's ILLINOIS is taken to double his tally having shaped as if better for the run when third in a Leopardstown Group 3 last month. He can get the better of Defiance, who took another step forward after 7 months off when runner-up in a listed event at Epsom recently, while The Euphrates, who finished a place ahead of the selection on return, should have more to offer, too.

Aidan O'Brien runs two but MEYDAAN and Defiance, two from the British stables, make more appeal.

15:35 Lingfield Group 3 (Class 1) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

It is hard to look past REMARQUEE, who posted some very creditable efforts behind top Group 1 performers on more than one occasion last season, and she can return to winning ways en route to some stiffer assignments later in the year. Great Generation arrives on the back of an admirable fourth over 7f at Deauville last month, form which is working out well, and she can give the selection the most to think about. Cell Sa Beela also makes some appeal.

Judged on how she acquitted herself in a handful of Group 1s last year, REMARQUEE is strongly fancied to notch a third career success providing she's fully tuned up on reappearance. The obvious danger looks to be Great Generation, who made the frame for the second time in pattern company last month and is open to further improvement. Stenton Glider will need to settle better, but she can edge out Cell Sa Beela for third.

Last year's Coronation second Remarquee is respected but the 3yo GREAT GENERATION looks a very interesting alternative.

16:10 Lingfield Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Inner Temple has to be of interest following two victories earlier in the year, although a 5lb rise for the most recent of those wins will make life tougher for him. With that in mind, preference is for MADAME DE SEVIGNE, who has been progressive in novice/maiden company and she should be capable of making her mark at this level. The shortlist is completed by Never Fear and Sky Warrior.

The hat-trick beckons for INNER TEMPLE, who took his form up another notch stepping into handicap company for the first time at Southwell in March and provided he takes to turf, he can get the better of Madame de Sevigne, who found only a trio from top yards too strong on her handicap debut at Ascot 10 days ago. Sonmarg rounds off the shortlist stepping back up in trip.

The form of INNER TEMPLE's handicap debut win has some substance, and he's taken to complete a hat-trick.

16:45 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The unexposed QUERCINE was not disgraced when third on her handicap debut at Nottingham three weeks ago and she should not be underestimated at this level. The likes of Gogo Yubari and Miss Anya have strong form claims if they can transfer their recent all-weather form to the turf, while similar comments apply to Via Blanca. Others to note in a wide-open event are Fidelius and Wrestling Revenue.

An open-looking sprint in which plenty of these have met before, FIDELIUS selected to come out on top and prove the weight of support that came for Robert Cowell's charge at Wolverhampton recently wasn't misplaced. Gogo Yubari made it 4 wins from her last 5 starts on that same card 10 days ago, so she rates as an obvious danger, with Via Blanca and Scoops Ahoy another couple worth keeping an eye on, also.

The suggestion in an open race is QUERCINE who ran creditably on her handicap debut at Nottingham and still has untapped potential.
