The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LITTLEFOOT makes his hurdling debut and is a good ride for 5lb-claimer Liam McKenna. He caught the eye in bumpers and has taken the runner-up berth three times in that code. He represents a shrewd stable and should be well prepared for hurdling. Ideal De Ciergues gave best in third on the run-in at Killarney, but the feeling is that there is a maiden hurdle in him particularly when you look at the good maiden hurdles he ran in before. Manisanda can play a part. She drops back in trip and get a tongue-strap. My Gaffer and Champagne Mahler are others to consider.
MY GAFFER impressed with the way he went through the race before his stamina began to tell at Punchestown last month, so he's very much of interest now dropping back in trip. Ideal de Ciergues and Littlefoot rate the main threats.
The choice is MY GAFFER, a bumper winner over this trip who ran with great credit in a good novice hurdle at Punchestown last month

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SPACE TOURIST looks a likely sort for Willie Mullins. Since switching to Mullins, this six-year-old mare won a Tramore bumper and finished a somewhat remote third in a bumper at Cork. That run can be viewed in a better light, though, as the winner has since won a Grade 2 novice hurdle. When she won in Tramore, Mullins commented that he hoped she would win over hurdles. Glendars Mahler won't be lacking in stamina having kept on in third over an extended 2m7f when last seen at Thurles in November. Sligo bumper winner Cash The Cheque has been placed twice over flights. She didn't perform in Tipperary and tries a new trip now. Miss Madeline outran her 125/1 odds when fourth in Tramore and could build upon that.
There's every reason to think SPACE TOURIST can improve on just her second start over hurdles having landed a bumper for Willie Mullins last summer, so she's a straightforward choice to come out on top. Cash The Cheque was a shade underwhelming at Tipperary last time but can provide the main threat if returning to the pick of her form up in trip. Glendars Mahler may prove best of the rest.
Maybe this is the chance for CASH THE CHEQUE to make up for some unlucky bumper defeats. The step up in trip on good ground should suit

2nd (1) (6/1 -20%) Dragon's Pass |
6/1(-20%) | (1) Dragon's Pass 6/1, Ran up to her best to grab a share of the spoils after 10 months off at Fairyhouse in January and just as good last 2 outings, finishing as well as any when fifth of 18 at Naas (16.3f) 57 days ago. |PU| (5) (8/1 -23%) Sixty Seconds |
8/1(-23%) | (5) Sixty Seconds 8/1, Made a lot more impact when third of 14 in handicap hurdle at Clonmel (19.1f, soft, 14/1) 15 days ago. May do better still. Stayed on well to take third in a Clonmel handicap hurdle two weeks ago on handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
REFLECTIONIST was in dominant form when powering seven lengths clear to score over a similar trip at Punchestown on Tuesday. He runs under a 7lb penalty and remains in the same 80-95 grade. Being by Sea The Stars, he should enjoy this ground. Lilian Bland is running very consistently this year and has been placed in all three runs in handicap hurdles. Connections now decide to claim 7lb off her back and she is weighted to go close. Sixty Seconds showed improvement in third at Clonmel, but that was on soft ground. He is due to step on much better ground here. He does have a fifth place in a Listowel bumper run on good to yielding ground in the book, though.
REFLECTIONIST built on the promise of his stable debut when scoring in comfortable fashion at Punchestown 3 days ago and he looks up to defying a penalty with further improvement on the cards. Dragon's Pass and Lilian Bland are a pair of credible rivals, though.
He may be only 2lb well in with his mandatory penalty, but it is hard to overlook Tuesday's Punchestown winner REFLECTIONIST

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Denis O'Regan rode a patient race on CORKBEG at Wexford and the pair get the opportunity to follow up on that success. That was a shorter trip that the six-year-old gelding won over last weekend, but he has winning form over a similar distance to this. Roman Parish showed marked improvement to chase home the winner in Clonmel. If he is as effective on this better ground, he will have a fair chance. Roccorionach was gambled on in Killarney before finishing fourth. That was her first run for this stable and it wouldn't be a surprise to see her improve upon that on this drop in trip. Toon Town finished second in a slowly run handicap hurdle over 2m at this track in March. That was a big step forward and there could be more in the tank.
Lots with chances but BAL KAUTO made an eye-catching start for Declan Queally when a running-on sixth at Tramore and can capitalise on a handy-looking mark now. Toon Town is feared most on the back of his good recent second here, while Wexford-scorer Corkbeg can also have a say along with the unexposed Millies Dream.
The vote goes to TOON TOWN (nap) after a good second over 2m here last time, with the longer trip in his favour on this ground

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
RATHNALEEN KAL beat a subsequent winner on slower ground at Clonmel and has to be respected off 6lb higher. Trendy Lady could have a say on handicap debut for Henry de Bromhead. The last time she raced over flights she was a beaten favourite in fourth at Downpatrick, but all three horses that finished in front of her have won since. Trendy Lady has run well off a break before. I Don't Get It is highly likely to adopt his customary front-running tactics. They have served him well as he has won two of this last three races and was runner-up in the other one. Trendy Lady's stablemate, Atimetodream, has one notable third place at Cork in the formbook. There is surely more to come from her on handicap debut. Deep Pockets is not without hope up in trip.
RATHNALEEN KAL took her form up a notch when scoring at Clonmel recently and looks weighted to go in again despite taking a 6 lb rise in the weights. Atimetodream looks open to progress now going into handicaps and rates the chief threat, although Farceur de Sivola is another handicap debutant who can have a say along with the resurgent I Don't Get It.
Eoin McCarthy has a strong hand here with Clonmel winner RATHNALEEN KAL and Deep Pockets, the former just preferred

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Reserve Arctic Ambition would have a serious chance if getting a run. His last two starts came over fences including when winning at Kilbeggan in April. He would be competing off a hurdle mark 27lb lower than his chase mark. Furthermore, Danny Gilligan would take 7lb off his back. There was definite promise in SHEEPHAVEN FLYER's handicap debut at Downpatrick. The Milan gelding stayed on well for third and a reproduction of that run should have him heavily involved. Just Hannah has shown snippets of form on better ground while Saint Bernadette posted a trio of third places in hurdle races last autumn.
Lots of these arrive with a question mark against them so SHEEPHAVEN FLYER looks the way to go nudged up only 1 lb for his very good Downpatrick third. In-form pair Tilloughna and Who's Houdini appeal as the pick of the remainder and can chase home Henry de Bromhead's low-mileage 5-y-o in that order.
Putting in good late work to take third at Downpatrick, SHEEPHAVEN FLYER remains relatively unexposed and gets the vote

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ONE FOR LUCY wouldn't be winning out of turn after a run of three consecutive runner-up finishes in bumpers. She enjoys better ground and that is what she should encounter on her seasonal reappearance. Willie Mullins takes the wraps off French-bred Ivana and she is an obvious danger in the hands of Patrick Mullins. Gordon Elliott's The Grey Dove was pipped by a head when last seen in Downpatrick. That race was over a year ago, though. Jessica Harrington's Jekiki is another newcomer to note. It is unlikely that third-reserve Littlebiggie will get a run, but she was very good in winning a Stradbally point-to-point by seven lengths.
The Willie Mullins-trained IVANA gets the nod to make a winning debut, with confidence in her chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Reappearing pair One For Lucy and The Grey Dove have some fair form and might give her most to do.
Such is the strength of the yard's bumper team, IVANA could be up to make a winning debut, chiefly at the expense of One For Lucy
Ths is the racecard key.
