|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (2/1 +43%) Sam Magee |
2/1(+43%) | (7) Sam Magee 2/1, Fair maiden hurdler. Twenty first of 25 in handicap at Punchestown (19.8f, good to soft, 40/1) 135 days ago, finding less than looked likely. The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Not a strong contest and GINO DRUMMER BOY can get his head in front. He looked set to be placed again at Ballinrobe last time until a bad blunder at the last flight. Previously he had chased home The Folkes Tiara at Downpatrick and a repeat of that run should be enough to collect now. Sam Magee has an official mark of 114 and has to be respected despite running poorly on his last couple of outings in the spring. On the pick of his form he'd be the one to beat and the Jet Away gelding may appreciate a drop in class now. The Shantou King ran well when chasing home Largy Ray in a bumper here a fortnight ago and may get involved for prize-money again back over hurdles.
ZOLPHARINE has shown progressive form in bumpers, so he makes plenty of appeal now going hurdling in an ordinary-looking contest. Sam Magee sets the standard on the pick of his from and is sure to play a leading role if a first-time tongue strap has a positive effect, while Gino Drummer Boy is another to consider.
ZOLPHARINE produced his best effort yet when 2nd in a Tramore bumper last month and the 3rd has already come out and boosted the form

1st (5) (2.75/1 +66%) Tom McGreevy |
2.75/1(+66%) | (5) Tom McGreevy 2.75/1, Unreliable individual. Good second of 11 in handicap hurdle (16/1) at Tramore (16f, good) 22 days ago, flattered by proximity. Big chance if turning up here in similar form. Hard to predict but latest at Tramore more like it; probably better sitting off the pace. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5.5/1 +39%) Cerberus |
5.5/1(+39%) | (4) Cerberus 5.5/1, Twenty runs since last win in 2019. Respectable fifth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Tipperary (20f, good to soft, 14/1) 64 days ago. Should remain competitive. If they come back from the front he could pick up the pieces; probably better at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (2.5/1 +17%) Effernock Fizz |
2.5/1(+17%) | (1) Effernock Fizz 2.5/1, Confirmed return to form when second of 6 in novice chase (11/4) at Wexford (19.6f, soft) last week. Respected back over hurdles. Mixes codes and rarely disappoints; 5-25 hurdling, she could be hard to catch. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (7/1 +72%) Bonarc |
7/1(+72%) | (8) Bonarc 7/1, C&D winner. 9/1, creditable fourth of 8 in novice chase at Tramore (15.5f, good) 22 days ago. Switches from chase to hurdles. C&D winner long struggling and makes no appeal back hurdling; can jump left. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (14/1 -100%) As Tears Go By |
14/1(-100%) | (2) As Tears Go By 14/1, 2 wins from 3 runs this season, latest in a near-useful event at Wexford in May. Had his winning run ended in tame fashion at Ballinrobe in July, but he's only a 5-y-o so there's every chance this youngster could get back on the up. Not sure what happened latest but had won three hurdle races in previous five outings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (8/1 +43%) Flidais |
8/1(+43%) | (6) Flidais 8/1, Landed a maiden here in June but that remains a standout effort. Mare an utter revelation here in maiden in June, only to prove a flop since including here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (7/1 +36%) Kojin |
7/1(+36%) | (7) Kojin 7/1, Fairly useful performer on the Flat who has been well held in 3 juvenile events over hurdles, though may do better now handicapping. Scored on the level in September; poor since; three hurdle starts; risky. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
EFFERNOCK FIZZ is set to make her 20th start of the year here but the admirable mare has been in fine form recently and can grab another deserved victory. She has been runner-up on her last couple of outings over fences, chasing home a couple of decent sorts in Visionarian and Joyeux Machin. This looks a bit easier off a slightly lower mark over timber. Previous course winner The Big Chap returns from a short break and looks a danger. He benefitted for dropping back to this trip when winning at Sligo in July. As Tears Go By ran too bad to be true at Ballinrobe when last seen in late July and if she can get back to the form which saw her win her previous two races she'd be a big player.
THE BIG CHAP wasted little time getting back on the up when scoring at Sligo in July and a 7 lb rise may not be enough to prevent the follow up. Tom McGreevy isn't the most reliable of customers but would have a big chance if backing up his latest run at Tramore, while youngster As Tears Go By shouldn't be written off.
It is hard to have a strong opinion on this but the hardy EFFERNOCK FIZZ should give her backers a good run

1st (1) (4/1 -45%) Granville Street |
4/1(-45%) | (1) Granville Street 4/1, Fairly useful form on Flat, stays 1½m, shaped as if retaining all ability last time. Respected newcomer to hurdling. Won on Flat at Galway festival but not sure to stay this sort of trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (11/1 -22%) Iriskana |
11/1(-22%) | (10) Iriskana 11/1, Hinted at ability in bumpers and made an encouraging hurdling debut when runner-up in a Tramore maiden in August. The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MINELLA DIAMOND is entitled to have improved a bit from the experience of his hurdling debut at Cork and may step forward here. The Beat Hollow gelding was no match for Baltic Bird that day but plugged on to finish second and this looks like a winnable opportunity now. Ideal Du Tabert didn't look totally at home on the track when third here on his last visit but he has to be respected. He has half a length to find with Rocket Spirit, who stayed on well to finish second to Killeemore Lad then. Paul Fahey's charge failed to back up that run a few weeks later when a moderate third over slightly shorter here.
IDEAL DU TABERT sets a solid standard, so he's fancied to get off the mark on his first start for a new yard. Minella Diamond seems likely to improve on last month's second at Cork, while Granville Street is an interesting newcomer to hurdling having shown fairly useful form on the Flat. Iriskana and Rocket Spirit can also figure if casting aside disappointing efforts.
MINELLA DIAMOND followed a bumper win with a solid enough second on hurdle debut last month and he is entitled to build on that here

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (20/1 -25%) Toor Moment |
20/1(-25%) | (5) Toor Moment 20/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2021. Bit below form ninth of 18 in handicap hurdle at Cork (18.7f, good to soft, 25/1) 32 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Long losing run; ran okay at Tipperary in May but struggled twice since; stamina to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (28/1 -100%) Native Song |
28/1(-100%) | (8) Native Song 28/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Eighth of 17 in novice hurdle at Cork (17f, good to soft, 50/1) 32 days ago. The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SECOND SUBALTERN was the subject of a major gamble on his last visit here in early June and may be worth following on his return. He could only finish fifth to Wrecking Ball Paul then but this looks like a weaker race now. It's also looks significant that the seven-year-old takes a big step up in trip now and a hood is fitted for the first time. Tango Theatre was moving into contention when brought down at Wexford last month. The Shirocco mare had been knocking on the door with a couple of placed efforts previously and looks like a leading player now. Cathys Quest ran a solid race when fourth at Killarney last time and off the same mark she could be place material.
TANGO THEATRE has been in excellent form lately and was still going well when brought down at Wexford last time, so she's worth a chance to belatedly open her account. Cathys Quest looks a danger and Native Song would warrant consideration if the market vibes were right.
TANGO THEATRE (nap) has been running well in defeat, including when brought down latest and she's more consistent than most of these

1st (9) (5.5/1 +39%) Stellar Symphony |

No forlorn hope from career-low mark with that under her belt. Went close in points and not disgraced on yard debut latest; may come on for that. |

2nd (7) (6.5/1 +0%) Doyen For A Drink |
6.5/1(+0%) | (7) Doyen For A Drink 6.5/1, Much improved when fourth of 12 on handicap debut at Wexford (17f) in May and best excused subsequent run (badly hampered and eased) when twenty second of 25 at Punchestown a month later. Absent since but she's easily one of the least exposed and remains the type to do better. Good run when beaten 5l on h'cap debut; too bad to be true latest and new trip may suit. |

11/1(+21%) | (15) Mooney Boy 11/1, 20/1, showed more than previously when eighth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Tramore (20.5f, good) 22 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time. Step back in right direction latest but bit to prove at 3m; blinkers on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (18/1 -13%) Suile Ban |
18/1(-13%) | (4) Suile Ban 18/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Tenth of 16 in novice hurdle at Roscommon (19.8f, good to soft, 80/1) 31 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Denis Hogan. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Should progress. Only very minor promise in trio of maiden hurdles so far; no chances taken with his mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) (8.5/1 -31%) Black Barrel |
8.5/1(-31%) | (12) Black Barrel 8.5/1, Good fourth of 13 in handicap hurdle (40/1) at Sligo (25.4f, good to soft) 16 days ago, keeping on well to be nearest at the finish. No forlorn hope if building on that now. 0-13; came on from low-key return when 4th last month; unexposed at 3m; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (14/1 +50%) Crimson Chief |
14/1(+50%) | (1) Crimson Chief 14/1, Veteran who scored over fences here last summer before following up over hurdles at Galway (22.5f). However, in nothing like the same form all 3 starts since, eleventh of 14 in handicap hurdle at Wexford (3m) back in May. Absent since. Won back-to-back at this time last year but has lost his way this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (9/1 +18%) Highland Sting |
9/1(+18%) | (5) Highland Sting 9/1, Tongue strap on for 1st time, respectable fourth of 13 in handicap chase (20/1) at this course (25f, soft) 14 days ago, left poorly placed. Switches from chase to hurdles. 0-21 and struggling of late incl' over fences here latest; returns to hurdle but tough ask. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (6/1 +40%) Man Of The House |
6/1(+40%) | (8) Man Of The House 6/1, Sixth of 9 in handicap hurdle (15/2) at Perth (20.2f, good) 76 days ago, held when untidy 2 out. Previous C&D fifth did offer much encouragement at least and it would be interesting if the market spoke in his favour here. Not a bad run when 5th over C&D but not as good at Perth since; return to 3m+ may help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (20/1 +50%) Ballycastle Girl |
20/1(+50%) | (10) Ballycastle Girl 20/1, Course winner. Sixteen runs since last win in 2020. 80/1, tenth of 13 in handicap hurdle at Sligo (25.4f, good to soft) 16 days ago, going in snatches and beaten some way out. Hard to warm to. Tailed off over C&D in July and no better at Sligo since; on long losing run. |

|PU| (13) (18/1 +18%) Cottage Artist |
18/1(+18%) | (13) Cottage Artist 18/1, Unreliable type. 25/1, creditable eighth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Killarney (20.2f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Back up in trip. Modest form so far and her better efforts have come over shorter trips; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (18/1 +45%) Skol |
18/1(+45%) | (2) Skol 18/1, 50/1, eleventh of 17 in handicap hurdle at Down Royal (24f, good to soft) 7 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Cheekpieces on 1st time. 0-12 under Rules and was tailed off at Down Royal last week; first-time cheekpieces. |

|PU| (18) (20/1 +20%) Kiss My Lucky Egg |
20/1(+20%) | (18) Kiss My Lucky Egg 20/1, Fair winner at 17f in bumpers. First run since leaving Peter McCreery when twelfth of 13 in novice hurdle at Sligo (17.4f, good to soft, 20/1) 16 days ago. Something to prove upped markedly in trip for handicap debut. Reserve 2. 3rd here in July but tailed off on yard debut since; stamina a worry; reserve. |

|PU| (17) (33/1 +0%) Iguis |
33/1(+0%) | (17) Iguis 33/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Twelfth of 14 in novice hurdle at Wexford (20.7f, good to soft, 300/1) 63 days ago. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Reserve 1. Showed nothing in a point and similar story under rules; reserve. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
FRAZEL EXPRESS has been in decent form recently at the age of 11 and the Yeats mare may be able to add another win to her CV. She ran a solid race when fourth here over two-miles-three a fortnight ago and this step up in trip again should suit. Moyvilla Lass stayed on to finish fourth at Sligo on her most recent outing and is another who may benefit from going over three miles now. Black Barrel outran his odds when fourth over even further than this at Sligo last time. He looks like another one for the shortlist in a moderate enough affair.
Having showed more than previously at Wexford in May, DOYEN FOR A DRINK was best excused the run when down the field at Punchestown a month later. Less exposed than most and remaining with potential, she could be worth siding with to come out on top following 3 months off. Market support behind Man of The House would look interesting and he's feared, with Black Barrel and Moyvilla Lass others fancied to be in the mix.
There has been some promise in the recent runs of FRAZEL EXPRESS and she should relish a step back up in trip here

1st (7) (3.33/1 +39%) Typical Thomas |
3.33/1(+39%) | (7) Typical Thomas 3.33/1, Fairly useful hurdler. Eleven runs since last win in 2022. 33/1, second of 8 in novice chase at Downpatrick (19.2f, good) 11 days ago, that despite not jumping well. Claims with a repeat for all he's no sure thing to back that up. Could not quite match winner but gave a fine account at Downpatrick from out of the blue. |

2nd (1) (8/1 +50%) Construct |
8/1(+50%) | (1) Construct 8/1, One-time fairly useful hurdler. Fair on Flat nowadays, eighth of 10 in handicap at Roscommon (11.7f, good) in June. Absent since and others make greater appeal now sent chasing. Flat-bred five-time winner, 2-9 hurdling and form good enough to warrant a second look. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (14/1 -56%) Western Comandor |
14/1(-56%) | (8) Western Comandor 14/1, Fair winner at 17f over hurdles. 11/1, fifth of 9 in novice chase at Ballinrobe (23f, good to soft) 11 days ago, mistake 3 out and late headway. Handicaps may be more his bag in this sphere. Bitterly disappointing since maiden hurdle win in March and remains best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (2.25/1 +25%) Dutch Schultz |
2.25/1(+25%) | (2) Dutch Schultz 2.25/1, Fairly useful hurdler. 1 win from 2 runs this season. 9/4, career best when winning 11-runner novice hurdle at Wexford (16.7f, soft) 28 days ago, going clear. Makes chase debut and he's one to consider. Not winning out of turn in Wexford maiden hurdle last time but rarely ran bad race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (9) (2.5/1 +55%) Natural Look |
2.5/1(+55%) | (9) Natural Look 2.5/1, Fairly useful winner at 20f over hurdles. 3/1, solid start in this sphere when third of 9 in novice chase at Tramore (21.7f, soft) 19 days ago. May well do better. Rarely runs bad race; 3s, not helped by rider's saddle slipping at Tramore (chase debut). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (6) (6.5/1 -86%) Nottodaybobo |
6.5/1(-86%) | (6) Nottodaybobo 6.5/1, Fair in bumpers and similar form over hurdles, best effort yet when landing 2m maiden here 2 weeks ago. Remains low mileage and likely he can do better again now tackling larger obstacles. Series of solid runs before responding well to tongue tie in taking ordinary maiden here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (50/1 -25%) Cosmic Blizzard |
50/1(-25%) | (10) Cosmic Blizzard 50/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 25/1, bit below form fifth of 11 in novice hurdle at Ballinrobe (22.8f, good) 25 days ago, not knocked about. Makes chase debut. Modest pointer/hurdler; handicap prospect.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
NOTTODAYBOBO benefitted from the fitting of first-time tongue-tie when getting off the mark over hurdles here last month and connections have decided not to hang around over the smaller obstacles. From a good jumping family, the Flemensfirth gelding might be able to make a winning debut over fences. Smart Flat stayer Dutch Schultz gained his first win over hurdles at Wexford last month and it will be interesting to see how Gavin Cromwell's six-year-old takes to jumping fences. Natural Look has shown progressive form in handicap hurdles over the last 12 months and was second here in July. Her chase debut third at Tramore was creditable given that her rider was inconvenienced by a slipping saddle.
NOTTODAYBOBO stepped up on his previous hurdles exploits when opening his account in maiden company here 2 weeks ago and, with potential for better still now tackling larger obstacles, he shades the vote to come out on top for his powerful stable. Fellow recent hurdles scorer Dutch Schultz and Natural Look are others to consider. Typical Thomas is another not out of things with a repeat of his latest Downpatrick second.
OTTODAYBOBO\p might be more of a chasing prospect than Dutch Schultz and how the market assesses them will be intriguing

1st (6) (10/1 +0%) Union Park |
10/1(+0%) | (6) Union Park 10/1, Latest win in chase at Thurles in February. Sixth of 9 in handicap chase at Ballinrobe (17f, good to soft, 13/2) in May, pushed along before 3 out and left behind. Given a break since but work to do from this mark in any case. Was really consistent so worried he was so quiet last thrice; had a little break but risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (2.25/1 +36%) Rotten Row |
2.25/1(+36%) | (4) Rotten Row 2.25/1, Latest win in chase at Tramore in August. Creditable fourth of 10 in handicap chase (7/2) at Tramore (21.7f, soft) 19 days ago. Can give a good account again returned to larger obstacles. Scored hurdling here last summer and impressed at Tramore lately; good chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5/1 -43%) Irish Blaze |
5/1(-43%) | (3) Irish Blaze 5/1, 1 win from 2 runs this season. 13/2, career best when winning 9-runner handicap chase at Downpatrick (17.8f, good) 11 days ago, staying on well to lead close home. Return to further will hold no fears on that evidence and he's worth considering. Can lead but fine ridden patiently and stayed on well to score at Downpatrick latest. |

4th (2) (11/1 -29%) The Dara Man |
11/1(-29%) | (2) The Dara Man 11/1, Unreliable sort. Twelve runs since last win in 2022. 15/2, fifth of 8 in handicap chase at Killarney (17f, soft) 14 days ago. Others arrive with more pressing claims. Hard to know what to expect but chance on front-running second to Pakens Rock here in June. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (22/1 +0%) Nelly's Money |
22/1(+0%) | (8) Nelly's Money 22/1, Sixth of 8 in handicap chase at Killarney (17f, soft, 20/1) 14 days ago, headway between 4 and 3 out but not sustain effort. Others appeal more. Hold-up mare won at Wexford last summer; nothing of note since.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (3.5/1 +30%) Pakens Rock |
3.5/1(+30%) | (1) Pakens Rock 3.5/1, Solid start to present campaign, landing back-to-back course handicaps, latterly over C&D in July. Well below best at Galway subsequently but feasible to think he can bounce back on balance of this season's efforts. Bombed latest; thrived on summer circuit, scoring readily by 0.5l over C&D previous twice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (14/1 +0%) Espion Du Chenet |
14/1(+0%) | (5) Espion Du Chenet 14/1, Sixteen runs since last win in 2022. Faced stiff task when last of 4 in minor event chase (25/1) at Ballinrobe (17f, good to soft) 11 days ago. This more suitable but recent efforts have been underwhelming. Huge chance at his best and latest run no shame (out of his depth); not ruled out, risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (4.5/1 -35%) Top Line Tommy |
4.5/1(-35%) | (7) Top Line Tommy 4.5/1, Finally shed maiden tag at Tramore (21f0 in June and has essentially shaped well since, likely he'd of won (going best) when falling last in race won by Irish Blaze at Downpatrick (17.7f) 11 days ago. Worth considering from 1 lb higher in the hope his jumping holds up. Won at Tramore in June; not bred for chasing and usually good for a blunder or two since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ROTTEN ROW is a course winner over hurdles and got off the mark over fences in a novice contest at Tramore last month. Turned out again under a penalty at the same track three days later, his jumping let him down in the closing stages when finishing fourth in a handicap over a longer trip and dropping back a couple of furlongs may help his cause. Paken's Rock was well held at Galway but won his previous two starts over C&D and has to be respected on his return to this venue. Irish Blaze took full advantage when Top Line Tommy, in front by a couple of lengths at the time, came down at the final fence at Downpatrick. Raised 5lb for that success, Gordon Elliott's charge will be suited by this longer trip. Top Line Tommy, a winner at Tramore earlier in the summer, has to be on the shortlist but will need to brush up his jumping.
TOP LINE TOMMY is hardly prolific, but having opened his account over fences at Tramore in June, he looked set to go in again before falling at the last (race won by re-opposing Irish Blaze) at Downpatrick 11 days ago. He shades the vote in the hope his jumping holds up, with Irish Blaze and Pakens Rock, who has scored twice here already this summer, heading up the dangers.
A trappy race but ROTTEN ROW seems pretty bullet-proof, especially with pace in the race seemingly assured. Pakens Rock is feared

1st (6) (1.25/1 +38%) Longview Lady |
1.25/1(+38%) | (6) Longview Lady 1.25/1, Promising individual. 6/5, second of 12 in bumper at Killarney (17f, good) on NH debut 50 days ago. Open to improvement and worth a chance to open her account at the second attempt. Debut form worked out really well and has to be respected for champion trainer. |

2nd (9) (6.5/1 +74%) Workinonadream |
6.5/1(+74%) | (9) Workinonadream 6.5/1, Mount Nelson mare. Half-sister to bumper winner Eco Pete and to a winning pointer. Warrants a market check. Good late sire; half-sister to respected yard's bumper winner Eco Pete and a point winner. |

3rd (5) (22/1 +12%) French Milan |
22/1(+12%) | (5) French Milan 22/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. Seventh of 14 in novice hurdle (50/1) at Sligo (20.6f, good to soft) on hurdles bow 16 days ago. Switches from hurdles to bumpers. Mare's peak RPR 89 after four runs (22s or bigger) so will hardly be winning this. |

4th (2) (80/1 +20%) Brave Crogha |
80/1(+20%) | (2) Brave Crogha 80/1, Twice-raced maiden. First run since leaving Thomas Cooper when sixteenth of 18 in novice hurdle (125/1) at Cork (16.9f, good to soft) 56 days ago. Makes bumpers debut. Nothing so far. |

5th (3) (80/1 -21%) Lake Manzaleh |
80/1(-21%) | (3) Lake Manzaleh 80/1, Twice-raced maiden. Seventh of 8 in bumper (25/1) at Tramore (16f, heavy) 21 days ago. Needs to up his game. Not bred to stay and ran accordingly both starts (25s). |

6th (1) (66/1 +34%) Tubberrobe |
66/1(+34%) | (1) Tubberrobe 66/1, Once-raced maiden. 66/1, seventh of 9 in bumper at Killarney (17f, soft) on NH debut 14 days ago. Stable having fine run; 66s, nothing at Killarney, green. |

7th (11) (40/1 +60%) Western Summer |
40/1(+60%) | (11) Western Summer 40/1, Westerner filly. Dam (h93), placed over hurdles (stayed 2½m), 11f winner on Flat. Pulled up both starts in points (latest May 7). Hard to fancy. Pulled up both points; nice pedigree; yard 0-98 last five seasons. |

|U| (4) (0.91/1 +48%) Topgun Simmy |
0.91/1(+48%) | (4) Topgun Simmy 0.91/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 11/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time, third of 14 in bumper at Galway (16.6f, soft) 39 days ago. Sets a solid standard. Seems well-regarded and ran at top tracks this year, every run promising; could make all. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
TOPGUN SIMMY was placed on debut at Naas in February when in the care of Ray Cody and has again run well in both starts for current connections. Runner-up in a valuable sales contest at Fairyhouse over Easter, he wasn't beaten far when third at the Galway festival when tried in a tongue-tie which is now left off. His dam stayed well and he may be suited by this step up in trip. Longview Lady found one too good when a short-priced favourite at Killarney in July and gave the impression that she would appreciate a longer trip. Meet My Loreley was runner-up to a smart type at Thurles last winter and may improve from last month's odds-on defeat at Wexford which was her first start for Barry Connell. Workinonadream and Day's A Dawning are newcomers to note from powerful yards.
LONGVIEW LADY was a warm order in the betting prior to making an encouraging start at Killarney and she could find enough improvement to get the better of the likes of Topgun Simmy and Meet My Loreley, who have both achieved a bit more than the selection. Day's A Dawning is the clear pick of the newcomers.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
