The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LUCKINTHECITY is a useful bumper performer and gets the vote to make a winning start over hurdles. The selection scored on debut at the Listowel Festival last year and returned after a break when third behind The Passing Wife at Galway earlier this month. Garnacho showed some promise in two bumper starts and was prominent throughout when switched to hurdles at Roscommon filling the runner-up spot behind the impressive Zariygann. Glyde Ranger and International Lady both have plenty of experience on the Flat and now switch to hurdles, while Finnicky Filly and Boston Beach may prove best of the remainder.
LUCKINTHECITY has achieved a fairly useful level in bumpers and may not need to replicate that form to make a winning start over hurdles in a weak race. Garnacho and Ballinvasas Best have both shown a bit of promise and could be the pair to fill the places.
A maiden which may not take much winning and likely a good opportunity for hurdles newcomer LUCKINTHECITY

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

7/1(+30%) | (6) Karacole 7/1, Ran close to her best back in a maiden when second of 14 at this course (19f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Should remain competitive if turning up here in similar form. C&D maiden second 13 days ago; gets the weight allowances but still faces stiff task. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

25/1(-108%) | (5) Hardy Diamond 25/1, Made a successful debut over hurdles over C&D in July. However, went the wrong way under more testing conditions at Sligo. Return to better ground to suit but plenty to prove at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (4) (28/1 -27%) Charming Star |
28/1(-27%) | (4) Charming Star 28/1, Fairly useful on Flat (below form of late) and confirmed hurdling debut promise when winning a juvenile maiden at Navan in March. However, proved to be a disappointment at Downpatrick in July. Below par under both codes of late; looks to have a bit to do here. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Riding arrangements suggest TOUNSIVATOR is preferred of Willie Mullins' two runners and the dual-purpose gelding can gain compensation after a very narrow defeat in a valuable handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival. The French import won a 25-runner Naas maiden hurdle earlier this year and was just headed on the line by Volantis at Ballybrit. Stablemate Ninth Titan easily made all in a Tramore maiden but may find this a bit sharp having stayed on well last time when runner-up to Donnie Devito in a 2m4f Galway novice. Al Gasparo impressed when making all in a Killarney maiden, but the point-to-point winner was soundly beaten last time at Galway.
TOUNSIVATOR sets the standard judged on his excellent second in a Galway handicap 3 weeks ago, so he has to be considered the one to beat, especially with the timefigure supporting his performance. Ninth Titan, a stablemate of the selection, is going the right way as a hurdler and rates the main threat ahead of Al Gasparo, who appeals as the type to bounce back quickly.
Likely a good pace here which could set this up nicely for TOUNSIVATOR, whose Galway handicap second sets a decent standard

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Le Grand Vert, KADYS DIRHA and Ballydangan filled the first three places over this trip at Roscommon earlier this month and it may pay to concentrate on that piece of form. The winner was having his first start for current connections and could progress further, but Kadys Dirha gets the nod having come from well off the pace. Joe's Turn won both point-to-point starts for Richie Rath and has joined Mark McNiff following a promising third over 2m4f here on his chase debut under Rules. Singing Banjo has enjoyed his finest hours over the banks at Punchestown and the veteran comes here after landing the La Touche for the second time this year.
Dual-point winner JOE'S TURN made a decent start to his chase career when third here last month and gets the vote on his first start for an in-form yard. Le Grand Vert was a cosy winner starting out for this yard at Roscommon and is the obvious threat, though Kadys Dirha and Ballydangan are weighted to finish a bit closer.
One that could be ahead of the game is LE GRAND VERT (nap), who can confirm Roscommon form with Kadys Dirha and Ballydangan

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
THE SHORT GO made a successful switch to fences over three miles at Clonmel last autumn and after reappearing over hurdles, again advertised his chance on just his second chase start when third to Railway Hurricane over probably an inadequate 2m3f at Wexford last month. Menindee's five wins include a handicap chase over a similar trip here last summer and the David Christie-trained mare reverts to fences after a couple of recent hurdle outings. Macgiloney's 11 career victories include a bumper and 3m1f hurdle at this venue and he was also second to the odds-on Run For Oscar here last time.
THE SHORT GO is enjoying a productive season and arrives on the back of a solid effort at Wexford, so he's fancied to get back to winning ways up in trip. Invictus Machin is a danger if strong in the betting and Paidi's Passion should give another good account.
The selection though is THE SHORT GO, still very unexposed over fences but won over 3m at Clonmel and will appreciate this trip

Dam (h101), maiden hurdler (stayed 2½m), half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (winner around 2m) Beatabout The Bush. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

100/1(-203%) | (8) Sunrise Quest 100/1, €5,000 3-y-o, Quest For Peace gelding. Dam fair maiden on Flat (stayed 1½m). Not an obvious sort on paper. Cheaply bought 5yo an unlikely type to make a winning debut. |
