13:45 Kempton Conditions Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

LATIN VERSE appeared somewhat of an unlucky loser in his runner-up effort at Sedgefield earlier in the month after jumping badly left at the final obstacle. Milton Harris' juvenile will need to jump better to shed his maiden tag in this sphere, but he should take all the stopping if building on that hurdles bow. Kauto Kawai is worth noting in the market on his UK debut, while Flat recruits Outgun and Soigneux Bell could have a say too.

French-recruit MOJO EGO gets the nod to make a winning start for Harry Derham but there are several with possibilities in an interesting opener. Latin Verse should have a big say if brushing up on his jumping with his Sedgefield experience behind him, while Kundaline's French form suggests she's better than she showed at Ludlow. Soigneux Bell and Outgun are a couple of interesting hurdle newcomers in a race where the betting could prove informative.

Having shown promise and stamina on both Flat starts, hurdling newcomer SOIGNEUX BELL is the selection ahead of Captain Marvellous.

LTO Selection:

14:20 Kempton Handicap Chase (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NOTNOWLINDA was far from disgraced when finding only another unexposed chaser too good on her chasing bow at Warwick last month and Dan Skelton's mare is fancied to defy a 2lb nudge in the ratings. Rakhine State is the only other rival with experience over the larger obstacles and the veteran shouldn't be far away after posting a respectable third over hurdles at Perth in September, with Kotmask and Fame And Fun making most appeal of those making their debuts in this sphere.

Dan Skelton's NOTNOWLINDA shaped well on her first go over fences when runner-up at Warwick (form been franked) and can put that experience to good use to fend off chasing-newcomers Arclight and Fame And Fun who are both in excellent hands and bring potential to this sphere. Rakhine State and Spago are two others who need considering in an intriguing novice chase.

The most obvious answer is NOTNOWLINDA, who made a very solid start to her chasing career when second at Warwick last month.

LTO Selection:

14:55 Kempton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Presenting Nelly completed the second leg of a quick-fire double at Newton Abbot in late-September, but the six-year-old will require another career-best performance to complete a hat-trick judged on the ratings. DESTROYTHEEVIDENCE appeared a bit too keen when runner-up over an extended 3m at Southwell earlier this month and he could regain the winning thread now dropping in distance to 2m5f, with first-time cheekpieces an added bonus. The returning Much Too Dear is seen as the largest threat in receipt of 7lb from the selection and completes the shortlist.

BEACHCOMBER should be all the sharper with last month's hurdle debut under his belt and can make the most of the weight he receives from the previous winners in this line-up. It would be no surprise were the main threat to come from Emma Lavelle Irish point recruit Monks Meadow, particularly if the betting vibes are strong.

Chepstow bumper winner BEACHCOMBER made a very encouraging start to his hurdling career three weeks ago and should build on that run.

Front-running veteran who excels at this track; no surprise if he makes a bold bid.
LTO Selection:

15:30 Kempton Handicap Chase (Class 3) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Mercian Prince deserves a mention having won this race for the last two years, but he is 12 now and was not at his best when pulled up last time out at Bangor. He could still go well but JAY JAY REILLY is readily preferred. A three-time course winner, twice over fences and once over hurdles, he was last seen finishing second to the aforementioned Mercian Prince over C&D in May, despite pulling too hard, and looks set for a profitable season. Thelasthighking is lightly raced and may be the one to follow the suggestion home at these weights for the in-form Twiston-Davies yard.

Plenty to consider with the vote going to CORRIGEEN ROCK, who is probably the one open to the most improvement still. Jay Jay Reilly and Thelasthighking head the dangers.

The suggestion is C&D winner JAY JAY REILLY (nap), who responded well to the addition of cheekpieces towards the end of last season.

LTO Selection:

16:05 Kempton Conditions Hurdle (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

It takes a good horse to win this with The New One taking it three times and SCEAU ROYAL looks to match that feat after successes in 2021 and 2022. Alan King's 11-year-old has an excellent record fresh with wins first time out in six of the last seven seasons, and although time has to catch up with him eventually, it may not be just yet. Rubaud is an improving youngster who could have more to offer, while First Street also has to be of interest returning from a wind operation.

FIRST STREET made a successful reappearance last season and, while his form tailed off towards the end of the campaign, he's likely to be back to his best after 6 months off. He takes marginal preference over Sceau Royal, with the progressive Too Friendly also considered.

Popular veteran SCEAU ROYAL has won the last two editions of this race pretty comfortably and may be too good for Rubaud.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A determined winner over C&D on his most recent start in April, PASVOLSKY has won fresh in the past and this looks like an ideal opportunity to get his season off to a perfect start. Runner-up on his last two outings, Island Run must be of interest on his chase debut, while the capable Riskintheground was unlucky when brought down early on at Warwick earlier in the month.

ROCKY LAKE has shaped with encouragement a couple of times over fences and he might be able to put it all together on reappearance. Riskintheground is an obvious danger and Island Run is a notable chasing debutant.

He's not one to rely upon heavily but PASVOLSKY ended last season with a good performance over C&D and remains unexposed over 3m.

(7) Milldam 5/1, Fairly useful hurdler who opened his account on the back of a breathing operation/9 weeks off in 2m maiden at Huntingdon in March. Does need to bounce back from a couple of disappointing efforts since, though, on his reappearance.
Last four starts have been a win and three heavy defeats; new trip holds possibilities.

(8) Presenting Pete 9/1, Looked on the up when bagging 2m4f handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter in August but he turned in a rare poor effort when pulled up at Warwick (21f) 27 days ago. Sort to bounce back.
Uttoxeter win in August; pulled up latest start; ground softer than good may be a problem.

(5) Breaking Waves 10/1, Untrustworthy individual for Harry Whittington who signed off last term with a below-form third at Ludlow (21.2f, soft) 10 months ago. Others appeal more.
Not so good twice last December but it's possible he will return refreshed; new yard.

(9) Blue Shark 9/1, Highly progressive last season and, while his latest run was a tame effort, there's a good chance he can get back on the up after 4 months off, so not dismissed.
6-9 strike-rate since switched to handicap hurdles; may be able to resume his improvement.
LTO Selection:

17:15 Kempton Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DECORATED hasn't run much in the past year or so, but the impression he has made when scoring on his last two starts has been very strong. The five-year-old remains unexposed and open to more improvement as he looks to see off the likes of Wincanton winner Oscars Moonshine and Awaythelad, who steps up in trip on his handicap debut. Shallow River and Whatsupwithyou have the form to get involved as well.

A case can be made for plenty of these but the most persuasive one is for DECORATED who ended last term with back-to-back victories and can carry on where he left off on his seasonal return after undergoing breathing surgery. Milton Harris' new recruit Shallow River is feared most on the back of a good recent Newton Abbot second, although the likes of Oscars Moonshine, Whatsupwithyou and Sami Bear all need factoring in too.

Plenty hold possibilities but DECORATED may well bring the most potential and can win from Blue Shark and Oscars Moonshine.
