Charlie Hills' charge gets the vote ahead of Wolverhampton runner-up Ikkari and With Respect, who ran with credit when fourth over C&D last time out. Handicap debutant Profit Given is another to note.

RICH RHYTHM made up plenty of ground having blown the start over 6f at Chepstow 3 weeks ago and there was enough promise in that effort to recommend him this time back over 7f. There's plenty of depth to this, though, with Ibn Aldar and Calonne a couple of potential threats.

The impression left by IBN ALDAR last time suggests there will be more to come from him now back up in trip and he gets the vote.

A promising third on her debut at Goodwood when keeping on well, HELLFIRE BAY must hold every chance for her in-form connections as she makes the switch to the all-weather. Oops wasn't beaten far either at Newmarket and she must enter calculations, along with Whoop Whoop. A half-sister to recent London Gold Cup second Bold Act, Dazzling Star is an intriguing newcomer for strong connections, while the same can be said of the Siyouni filly Kinako Mochi.

A bunch to be positive about with HELLFIRE BAY expected to take a leap forward having displayed plenty of ability amidst obvious greenness starting out at Goodwood 11 days ago. Dazzling Star and Kinako Mochi are well-bred newcomers for powerful connections so demand respect, particularly if the market vibes are positive.

An interesting race in which the Gosdens' HELLFIRE BAY gets the vote ahead of Oops and Godolphin's newcomer Dazzling Star.

A tentative vote goes to MERLIN THE WIZARD, who ran well on his debut over C&D last December before being slightly unlucky when short of room at Newmarket last month. With improvement expected, he can get the better of Chelmsford winner Mindthegap and Magic Memories, who was an eye-catcher when staying on from off the pace at Windsor on his racecourse bow. Akkadian Thunder and Botanical look to be the pick of the newcomers.

MERLIN THE WIZARD confirmed debut promise here when fifth in a strong Newmarket novice on his return and shades the vote over penalised-winner Mindthegap, who beat 3 subsequent winners by a wide margin at Chelmsford in November. Magic Memories offered something to work on at Windsor and looks best of the others.

It might be worth sticking with MINDTHEGAP, who won by 4l at Chelmsford in November and is open to more progress on his return.

Orchid Bloom sets the form standard and she confirmed her well-being when second at Chester on her seasonal return recently. That said, she may struggle to give 2lb to NEW BUSINESS, who has contested two very competitive races this year and he may benefit from this drop in trip. Battista and Extrication boast smart pedigrees and rate the pick of the newcomers.

ORCHID BLOOM matched the form of her debut success as a 2-y-o when runner-up on return at Chester 11 days ago, and with further progress in the offing she gets the nod to build on that and make it 2 wins from 3 starts. New Business has a bigger effort in him and is feared most back down in class from a handy draw. Battista is a newcomer to note.

Several interesting newcomers in this line-up but ORCHID BLOOM is taken to defy her penalty.

In a wide-open event marginal preference is for LUNATICK, who put in a career best when second at Windsor on his return a month ago. If finding further improvement, the son of Sea The Moon could be hard to beat on his handicap debut off a mark of 83. Diamond Vega struggled in Listed company on her final start as a juvenile but she should not be underestimated at this level. New Endeavour is another with strong form claims, while Ertebat and Alpha Crucis complete the shortlist.

ERTEBAT pulled clear of the rest when second to a similarly progressive type at Newmarket 3 weeks ago and remains of plenty of interest stepping up to 7f. Lunatick and New Endeavour head the dangers after making eye-catching reappearances at Windsor and York respectively.

This looks wide open but Hughie Morrison's handicap newcomer LUNATICK gets the vote ahead of Animate and Ertebat.

PREPENSE readily accounted for some decent rivals in a 7f Newmarket maiden in April and the daughter of Kingman is hard to oppose off an opening mark of 85. The unbeaten Marksman Queen is an obvious threat to the selection and may improve for the application of a first-time hood. Rainbow Sky should be noted now returning to the all-weather, while similar comments apply to Maid In Kentucky and Mayfair Gold.

MARKSMAN QUEEN is 2 from 2 and open to more progress on her first go in handicaps, so she's preferred to Prepense, who opened her account at Newmarket last time and is bred to do much better. Maid In Kentucky is another one to consider.

The vote goes to PREPENSE, who won a Newmarket maiden in April and is open to more progress at this new trip on her handicap debut.

STAY WELL offered something to work with when eighth on his reappearance at York last month and he makes plenty of appeal now returned to the C&D of his last triumph. Educator returned to form with a third-placed finish at Doncaster on Friday and is another to be interested in if proving as effective on this all-weather debut. Tashi also hit the frame last time at Epsom and completes the shortlist.

Plenty arrive with claims and it could pay to side with STAY WELL. He ought to have come on for his reappearance run and, boasting a progressive profile on all weather, he can confirm his present mark a workable one. Moving Light is very lightly raced for a 6-y-o but it's interesting connections have kept the faith and he's worth a look back from a break. Savvy Knight back on polytrack and Neandra are others to consider.

An open race in which vote goes to EDUCATOR, who was a good third when stepped back up to 1m4f at Doncaster last week.

The progressive KALAMITY KITTY recorded a career-best performance when completing a hat-trick at Nottingham last May and a 5lb rise may not prevent a five-timer if resuming in the same heart. Havaila is only 1lb higher for his runner-up effort at Goodwood last month and shouldn't be far away if running to a similar level on this polytrack debut. Last-time-out winner Spit Spot arrives in good form and could find further improvement now stepped up to 2m.

SPIT SPOT opened her account at the second attempt for her current stable at Chelmsford recently and, up in trip, she's worth a chance to follow up with more progress on the cards. Havaila ran well at Goodwood a month ago, so he looks the main threat ahead of Wholeofthemoon.

Kalamity Kitty remains of interest despite the absence but SPIT SPOT (nap) is taken to continue her progress in staying events.
