16:17 Hexham Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although he is a 21-race maiden over both hurdles and fences, HUIT REFLETS has run some good races in defeat and, after a respectable second-placed finish over 2m4f here at the beginning of the month, dropping back down in trip could be key to finally swing a result his way. Byron Hill rates the chief threat after returning from a lengthy absence with a near miss at Sedgefield 36 days ago, while top-weight Mister Moodles can also go well.

BYRON HILL lost little caste in defeat at Sedgefield last time and this represents a good opportunity for this 7-y-o to open his account in this sphere. Huit Reflets could be the one to follow him home, while Toscan Genius also enters calculations.

Patrick Neville's BYRON HILL went down to a progressive rival at Sedgefield, so is preferred to the topweight Mister Moodles.

16:52 Hexham Handicap Chase (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SHADOWS IN THE SKY was in a buoyant mood when he made all over 2m4f here last month and, given he was well in command from a long way out, dropping back in trip might not be enough to prevent the eight-year-old from following up. Divas Doyen, runner-up to a progressive type over C&D 25 days ago, is feared most, with Jet Patrol and Augharue others to keep an eye on.

It could be worth chancing JET PATROL now that he's switched to fences. Indeed, he was placed twice in points and the drying ground will aid his cause. Shadows In The Sky is next on the list having opened his Rules account here last time, while Breaking The Ice would also be a threat if on-song.

The choice last month's C&D winner SHADOWS IN THE SKY who has his ideal conditions once again.

17:27 Hexham Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The trip might well have been the undoing of NOT NOW TAYTO when he just failed to reel in the winner in a tight finish over 2m4f here a fortnight ago and, given that was his first run back after wind surgery, the relatively quick turnaround suggests another bold showing can be expected now the gelding steps up to 3m for first time under Rules. Others to consider include Ribeye, Castletown and Buto.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and course-winner RIBEYE is taken to resume winning ways on the back of his good recent Market Rasen third. C&D winner Lights Are Green rates next best, although both Not Now Tayto and Macavity need factoring in too.

This looks an opportunity for the unexposed NOT NOW TAYTO (nap) to get off the mark over fences with this longer trip looking positive.

18:00 Hexham Novices Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Shengai Enki has impressively notched a double and warrants plenty of respect chasing down the hat-trick, but this prize could well be going back to Ireland courtesy of IF YOU LET ME. The five-year-old left his bumper form well behind when dotting up on his hurdling debut at Kilbeggan last month and it's worth noting that he is Gavin Cromwell's and Keith Donoghue's only runner/ride on the card. Jumping newcomer Auld Toon Loon adds further spice to the race.

IF YOU LET ME was highly impressive at Kilbeggan on hurdling debut and this race is weaker, so he's well fancied to follow up at the likely expense of Shengai Enki, who arrives on a hat-trick.

This should concern previous winners Shengai Enki and IF YOU LET ME and, in receipt of 4lb from the former the latter is preferred.

(6) Well Educated 14/1, Confirmed previous encouragement when capitalising on a reduced mark at Hexham last month and followed up 5 days later at Kelso. Should go well again but he's 8 lb worse off with Hartur D'Oudairies from their last meeting.
Has won his last two races, the first over C&D (Hartur d'Oudairies 2nd); up 11lb; chance.

18:30 Hexham Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Many will fancy Hartur D'oudairies to turn the tables on WELL EDUCATED, being 8lb better off for a half-length beating, but the latter took another step forward when following up at Kelso and he is fancied to confirm his superiority over the rival en route to completing the hat-trick. Imperial Data has won four of his last five outings and first-time cheekpieces could potentially unlock another gear, while Chilinlikeavillain is worth a market check at least on his first outing since March last year.

HARTUR D'OUDAIRIES was denied by Well Educated here in May but there's more to come from him and his old rival is much worse off at the weights having scored again since, so the first-named gets the nod. Imperial Data should typically put up a solid showing.

The choice is the veteran CAIUS MARCIUS, who has a good record fresh and has his ideal conditions. Well Educated is next best.

19:00 Hexham Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Henry Daly wouldn't be a frequent Hexham visitor, indeed he boasts an impressive course record of three winners from four past runners, so the fact that MINNIEMUM is his sole representative on the card is hugely interesting. Add to that the seven-year-old arrives following a breakthrough success at Bangor and champion jockey Harry Cobden takes over in the plate, she gets a confident vote. Tigga Time represents an in-form Sandy Thomson stable and looks an obvious danger on his handicap debut, while Dillarchie holds each-way claims.

SWALLOWS SONG shaped quite well in a big field at Kelso on his return from a break last month and might prove the answer to this finale. Minniemum is a last-time-out winner and has Harry Cobden doing the steering so expect her to be in the thick of things. The shortlist is completed by Tigga Time who has potential now stepping up in trip for his handicap debut.

With his stable going well TIGGA TIME is taken to get off the mark over hurdles by beating last month's Bangor winner Minniemum.
