14:00 Hereford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THERAPIST looked to be coming into contention holding every chance when falling two out at Doncaster on her latest start and Nicky Henderson's charge may be able to gain compensation on this occasion. Irish raider Emotivo can give her most to think about, while Spiced Rum may improve for the application of a hood. A winner twice on the Flat in Ireland, Ma Belle Artiste is one to note for market support on her first outing for new connections.

THERAPIST was a fairly useful Flat winner in the summer and was shaping up well on just her second hurdles run for Nicky Henderson when taking a late fall at Doncaster so gets the verdict. Irish challenger Emotivo has the form to play a big part and rates the main danger, with hurdling debutantes Absolute Queen and Hawk Jet also worthy of consideration.

The pick is ILLUCIDATE, who showed signs of promise on hurdle debut and is back in a tongue-tie, in which she won on the Flat in France

14:30 Hereford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Apart from a mishap in Grade 2 company at Cheltenham, ILLICO DE COTTE has had a consistent start to his career and he must hold every chance on the back of a narrow defeat at Wincanton last month. The extra yardage should suit and he can uphold form with Howaya Now (fourth) from that contest, as well as seeing off Sedgefield runner-up Golden De Coeur.

Only a handful of these make serious appeal and it's ILLICO DE COTTE who gets the nod to come out on top having hit the crossbar in a couple of similar events this winter. Golden de Coeur, who should have won but for a late mistake at Sedgefield last month, looks the most obvious danger, with Howaya Now and Law of Supply taken to battle out third spot.

Point winner ILLICO DE COTTE has finished second on two of his three hurdle starts and is taken to get off the mark under rules.

15:00 Hereford Handicap Chase (Class 5) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SEYMOUR PROMISE bounced back to form with a highly creditable runner-up effort at Wincanton and the eight-year-old still looks well treated off 3lb lower than his hurdles mark. He can get off the mark at the 20th time of asking, with improving Leicester winner Natty Night a big danger, as well as Time For A Pint, who was a convincing scorer at Catterick on his penultimate start.

TIME FOR A PINT got no further than the first on his latest outing at Southwell 12 days ago yet he'd previously looked one to keep on side at this level when scoring with a bit to spare at Catterick and he earns the vote provided his jumping holds up this time. Pebbly New Moon shaped much better than the bare result on yard/chase debut at Uttoxeter in December and better can be expected. Chris Cool back over fences and Natty Night complete the shortlist.

There ought to be further improvement to come from TIME FOR A PINT, who won with a fair bit of authority at Catterick last month.

15:30 Hereford Handicap Chase (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Supasunrise was over six lengths clear of the third in this grade over 2m4f last time and he has a solid chance off 3lb higher. However, preference is for AMALFI SKYLINE, who took a nice step forward from his sixth at Ludlow on his return to score over C&D last month. That performance stands out as the best recent form on offer and he could be the one to beat off 6lb higher. Mozzaro warrants a market check on his return from a long absence.

AMALFI SKYLINE did well to get up from an unpromising position over C&D last time and he's capable of better still, so he gets the marginal vote over Divine Inspiration, who remains with potential as a chaser. Supasunrise is another to consider.

Unexposed 5yo AMALFI SKYLINE (nap) beat a next-time-out winner when scoring over C&D last month and he can defy today's 6lb higher mark.

16:00 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LADY BALKO may have failed to justify favouritism on her latest outing but she ran with huge credit to only be denied by just under two lengths into second. David Pipe's mare seems to be improving steadily and she looks the one to be on. Kimberley Eve, who struck on her penultimate start at Ludlow, will need to put her most recent underwhelming effort at Exeter behind her, but she could well do so off a 1lb lower rating. Of the remainder, Another Day Out appeals most in first-time cheekpieces.

LADY BALKO has upped her game since sent handicapping and, with further progress possible at this trip, she gets the nod to open her account under Rules. Emma Hamilton has finished well held on all her 3 outings over hurdles but could prove a different proposition on handicap debut based on her bumper exploits. Veteran Just Go For It is likely to give another good account and may prove best of the rest.

David Pipe's LADY BALKO would probably have won last time had she jumped better and yet she was still well clear of the rest.

16:32 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The unexposed LET'S GO JOE looked very much a work in progress when finishing a close-up fourth over an extended 2m3f at Catterick most recently and, off what looks to be a workable opening mark, he can come home in front for his in-form stable. Zestful Hope warrants respect on the back of an admirable second-placed finish over an extended 2m4f at Huntingdon in January, while better can be expected from Don Occhetti on his first start in a handicap.

All 3 of ZESTFUL HOPE's victories have come at this course and, having bounced back to form when runner-up at Huntingdon last month, he could be ready to return to winning ways from a handy mark. Galahad Threepwood looked unsuited by conditions on his latest outing so is worth another chance, with Iron d'Ex completing the shortlist.

Triple course winner ZESTFUL HOPE turned things around with a good run three weeks ago and now returns to his happy hunting ground.

17:07 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THANK YOU MA'AM bumped into a useful rival when finishing second over 1m7f at Wincanton earlier this month and, stepping up in trip on his handicap debut, he gets the tentative vote to show his rivals the way home. Fourofakind may prove to be the main danger after a creditable second over 1m7f last month, while dual-purpose performer Millford Sound has some form over hurdles in Ireland that would see him hit the frame on his stable debut.

A couple of handicap newcomers make this an interesting heat, with THANK YOU MA'AM perhaps most appealing going back up in trip after a trio of very solid runs in novice company. Fourofakind made fairly heavy weather of things when runner-up at Wincanton last month but remains low mileage for a fine yard, whilst Fresh Speculation is another who looks intriguing stepped up in trip for his handicap bow.

Handicap debutant IRIS DES ISSARDS struggled on heavy ground last time but is of significant interest if judged on his previous run.
