1st (2) (11/10 +33%) Pyffo |
11/10(+33%) | (2) Pyffo 11/10, Bumper winner who benefited from a more positive ride when scoring easily in a Market Rasen novice hurdle (20.6f) in March before an excellent second back in handicap company at Warwick. Proved to be a disappointment when turned over at short odds at Hereford last time but can bounce back. Player on form of Market Rasen win or handicap second next time; wild side evident latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (17/2 -113%) Briefly |
17/2(-113%) | (6) Briefly 17/2, Placed twice from 3 starts in bumpers and ran to a similar level as on hurdling debut when third in 13-runner novice at this course (17.7f, good) last month. Up in trip. Not beaten by the step up to 2m2f when third here latest; even longer trip looks a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (150/1 -500%) Lord Chips |
150/1(-500%) | (4) Lord Chips 150/1, Clovis Du Berlais gelding. Dam multiple point winner. Wears tongue strap. Market for clues. Dam and granddam both won plenty of points; may be one for later on; tongue tied on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (150/1 -16384%) Gwash |
150/1(-16384%) | (1) Gwash 150/1, Point winner and also second in a bumper. Much improved from hurdling debut when landing a 19f Warwick maiden in April and would have defied a penalty at Uttoxeter but for a late lapse in concentration (in control when fell last). Fancied to gain compensation. Warwick winner who may have followed up without a final-flight fall latest; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (350/1 -180%) Highway Hero |
350/1(-180%) | (3) Highway Hero 350/1, Failed to meet expectations in cheekpieces and tongue strap switched to an Exeter bumper in March 2023 on only outing for H. Ryall. Winning pointer but no form in latest season. Poor 2023-24 season in British points; beaten 76l in pointing bumper on sole rules outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (400/1 -100%) Planxty |
400/1(-100%) | (5) Planxty 400/1, No form on Flat in 2022 for John Gallagher so makes little appeal on this switch to hurdling. Poor Flat maiden in 2022; absent since; not much encouragement in pedigree for hurdling. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The two penalised winners Pyffo and GWASH are the ones to concentrate on, with slight preference for the latter. The Fergal O'Brien-trained inmate looked set to double his tally at Uttoxeter last month, but for falling at the final flight. Compensation could await the five-year-old, although the aforementioned Pyffo is unlikely to be far behind given his good run of form in recent months. Any market support for Lord Chips on his debut would be interesting.
GWASH would have followed up his Warwick win but for a late lapse in concentration at Uttoxeter last month and is narrowly preferred to Pyffo, who has a bit to prove after being turned over at short odds on his most recent outing at Hereford. Briefly can prove clear best of the rest.
Another step up in trip could see BRIEFLY improve at an accelerated rate and master the penalised pair Gwash and Pyffo.

1st (6) (12/1 +52%) Kitesurfer |
12/1(+52%) | (6) Kitesurfer 12/1, Won juvenile hurdle on his only race in France back in May 2022 and produced best effort so far on these shores when fourth of 7 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (2½m, heavy) in November. Disappointed twice thereafter, latterly on back of a wind op at Kempton in February. Mark has never been lower, but not sure a stayers' trip will help him to capitalise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (14/1 -155%) Sea The Clouds |
14/1(-155%) | (2) Sea The Clouds 14/1, Landed back-to-back handicap hurdles at Worcester/Warwick last summer without looking entirely straightforward. Disappointing display when last of 6 on final outing at Wetherby (3m) in October and whilst absent since, he has gone well fresh previously. Tongue strap back on. Warwick winner over nearly 3m1f last September (good); still pretty unexposed as a stayer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (9/4 -29%) Paddy De Pole |
9/4(-29%) | (1) Paddy De Pole 9/4, Lightly-raced sort who has improved plenty in handicaps in recent months, defying another small rise in the weights when bringing up the hat-trick at Hereford (19.7f) 4 weeks ago. Handicapper applies further pressure but he's a big player once more. 3-3 in good-ground handicaps since April (2-2 for today's rider); new trip and up 9lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (11/4 -22%) Earth King |
11/4(-22%) | (3) Earth King 11/4, Went the wrong way over fences last season but his mark tumbled as a result and he capitalised returned to timber (also fitted with cheekpieces) when winning 5-runner C&D handicap 4 weeks ago. That wasn't a wholly convincing display but possibilities with a repeat. C&D 0-120 winner on return to hurdles latest; cheekpieces that helped then are retained. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (125/1 -3471%) Thirtyfour Thirty |
125/1(-3471%) | (4) Thirtyfour Thirty 125/1, Fairly useful bumper winner who found some improvement over hurdles when successful here (17.7f) in December. Not in same form next 2 starts but firmly back on track of late, again finding only one too good at Warwick (26f) 13 days ago. Visor replaces cheekpieces now and he's of interest. Half-length second the last twice (one C&D, good); back up the weights without winning. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (350/1 -2400%) Presenting Yeats |
350/1(-2400%) | (5) Presenting Yeats 350/1, Temperamental sort who ran well below his best on the back of some very slow starts towards the end of last summer (often reluctant). Mark has eased ahead of return/yard debut and he's capable of playing a part if putting his best foot forward. Can be reluctant/race lazily, but absence since September is as much of a worry this time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The improving Paddy De Pole is certain to prove popular after securing wins at Plumpton, Wincanton and Hereford in recent months. The six-year-old warrants respect in his bid for a four-timer, but a further 9lb rise and marked step up in distance could prove his undoing. Last month's C&D winner EARTH KING could be the one, with a 5lb rise for that ready triumph here looking on the lenient side. A first-time visor should see Thirtyfour Thirty go well too.
PADDY DE POLE made little fuss of bringing up a hat-trick of handicap hurdle victories at Hereford 4 weeks ago and, still unexposed at this sort of trip, he could well be up to defying the handicapper again and completing the 4-timer. Thirtyfour Thirty rates the chief threat ahead of Earth King.
Unless there's significant rain, PADDY DE POLE can make light of a 9lb rise and step up to 3m2f, ahead of C&D scorer Earth King.

Groom De Cotte |
(3) (15/2 -15%)15/2(-15%) | (3) Groom De Cotte 15/2, Modest maiden handicap hurdler who fell at the fifth on his chase bow at Exeter 3 starts back. First run for yard after leaving Sean Curran. Encouraging third over hurdles latest; needs considering back over fences on stable debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Princess Midnight |
(2) (16/1 -256%)16/1(-256%) | (2) Princess Midnight 16/1, Front runner who won 3 times over fences in 2022 and just as good when runner-up on first 2 outings last season. Well held next 4 starts and off since (7 months) but returns on a winning mark and can go well fresh. Five-time chase winner; out of form when last seen in October but returns on a handy mark.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (7) (11/4 +54%) Belgarum |
11/4(+54%) | (7) Belgarum 11/4, Placed twice over hurdles in 2022/23 but struggled over fences last season. However, step back in the right direction after a wind op when third at Newton Abbot 2 weeks ago and less testing conditions here should suit. Back to some form after wind surgery when third latest; respected of a handy mark.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (40/1 -1900%) Call Off The Dogs |
40/1(-1900%) | (1) Call Off The Dogs 40/1, Missed whole of last year and has gradually recaptured his best this spring, resuming winning ways off a career-low mark here (17.8f) before following up over C&D 17 days ago, knuckling down well to overcome a late error. Should make a bold bid for the hat-trick up 4 lb. At the top of his game at present and holds strong claims in his hat-trick bid up 4lb.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (150/1 -838%) Shaw's Cross |
150/1(-838%) | (9) Shaw's Cross 150/1, Veteran who gained his first chasing success at Plumpton in January 2023. Rather hit-and-miss since, 11¾ lengths fifth of 6 to Call Off The Dogs in handicap chase (9/1) at this C&D (good) 17 days ago, finding little. Others more persuasive. Below form over C&D latest but retains a good chunk of his ability; place claims.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (350/1 -3400%) I Love You Sivola |
350/1(-3400%) | (5) I Love You Sivola 350/1, French recruit who has struggled for current yard and he's difficult to make a case for. French chase winner; repeat of his Exeter second in March would give him each-way claims.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (400/1 -1112%) Milton Boy |
400/1(-1112%) | (10) Milton Boy 400/1, Yet to show any ability, including in handicaps. 7 lb out of the weights on chase bow. Low-level hurdler; has plenty to prove on chase debut from out of the weights.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (300/1 -5355%) Millies Mite |
300/1(-5355%) | (8) Millies Mite 300/1, Seemed suited by the switch to prominent tactics when off the mark at the twenty-seventh attempt at this C&D (good to firm) in April. Backed that up with good second over same C&D last month and should go well again. Has run well over C&D the last twice and another bold showing looks on the cards.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (125/1 -793%) Miss Fedora |
125/1(-793%) | (4) Miss Fedora 125/1, Opened her account over hurdles here in November and got back on track to some degree when fourth of 9 there on chasing debut last month. Failed to build on that next time but might have found that run coming too soon. Still early days over fences but others hold more pressing claims.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A 4lb rise in the ratings for CALL OFF THE DOGS' cosy C&D triumph here last time out looks more than workable. The gelded son of Bienamado must hold every chance of recording a hat-trick at this venue and he's hard to oppose in his current mood. The Karen Jewell-trained Millies Mite wasn't disgraced when runner-up to a resurgent rival over track and trip last month and she may put up most resistance to the selection, ahead of Belgarum.
It could be worth chancing PRINCESS MIDNIGHT, who returns on a winning mark and can go well fresh. Hat-trick-seeking Call Off The Dogs is the obvious threat, with the in-form Millies Mite best of the others.
Hat-trick seeker CALL OFF THE DOGS looks to have been found an inviting opportunity. Belgarum can chase him home.

1st (2) (9/2 -50%) Dear Ralphy |
9/2(-50%) | (2) Dear Ralphy 9/2, Bettered recent efforts when second of 7 in handicap hurdle (5/1) at this C&D (good) 17 days ago. Merits consideration off same mark. C&D second last month (good) off today's mark and confidence in him is duly restored. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (80/1 -142%) Glorious Mist |
80/1(-142%) | (9) Glorious Mist 80/1, Poor maiden who was pulled up in C&D handicap on most recent outing. Cheekpieces need to give her a big lift. Moderate Plumpton third upped to a stayers' trip in May; never travelling over C&D latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (12/1 +0%) Astroman |
12/1(+0%) | (1) Astroman 12/1, Won twice over hurdles around this time last year but below par over fences of late and fared little better back on the Flat last time. Poor chasing/Flat form the last thrice, but below his last winning hurdles mark (C&D) now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (450/1 -19900%) He'llstopatthetop |
450/1(-19900%) | (3) He'llstopatthetop 450/1, Maiden pointer who would have probably won but for departing at the last in handicap chase at this course (26f, good) 17 days ago. Back over hurdles and not ruled out. Final-fence faller in C&D chase latest (good); very early days as a staying proposition. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (350/1 -8650%) He Is A Cracker |
350/1(-8650%) | (6) He Is A Cracker 350/1, Successful over fences here in September and shaped encouragingly back over hurdles after 6 months off when sixth of 14 in handicap at Warwick (25f, good to soft) 37 days ago, considerately handled. Shortlist material. Recent return run appeared needed; C&D chase win off today's mark last September; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (40/1 -150%) No Worries |
40/1(-150%) | (8) No Worries 40/1, Proved she retains ability after 6 months off when fourth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Ludlow (21.2f, good to firm) 31 days ago. Up in trip. Just a partial return to form on seasonal debut; stayers' trip is not an obvious plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (300/1 -355%) Wearapinkribbon |
300/1(-355%) | (4) Wearapinkribbon 300/1, On a lengthy losing run and was pulled up at Exeter when last seen in January. Renewed encouragement from last July's Newton Abbot third didn't last long; overlooked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (125/1 -400%) Joyful Kit |
125/1(-400%) | (7) Joyful Kit 125/1, Long-standing maiden who ran one of her lesser races when pulled up in a Stratford handicap 24 days ago. She's generally consistent so appeals as the type to bounce back quickly. Longstanding but mostly consistent maiden with possible excuses latest; trip/ground fine. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (150/1 -5355%) No More No |
150/1(-5355%) | (5) No More No 150/1, Left previous form well behind when making a winning handicap debut in a first-time visor from 12 lb out of the weights at Stratford last time and that may not be his limit. Breakthrough win on Stratford handicap debut latest (2m6.5f, good); visor retained; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (350/1 -430%) Yesnosorry |
350/1(-430%) | (10) Yesnosorry 350/1, Pulled up all 3 starts in chases and now reverts to hurdles. Pulled up on three latest starts over fences at up to 2m6f; new trip can't rate a plus. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
NO MORE NO produced a bit of a shock when scoring by just over two lengths on his handicap debut over 2m6f at Stratford last month and he takes a further step up in trip. The son of Alkaadhem could have plenty more to offer and he looks the one to beat again. Dear Ralphy wasn't beaten far into second over track and trip last time and he should go well off an unchanged mark, while No Worries could better his latest fourth at Ludlow.
The vote goes to HE IS A CRACKER, who should be spot on following his encouraging reappearance at Warwick. Dear Ralphy and No More No head the opposition.
Back on the mark of last autumn's C&D chase win, HE IS A CRACKER (nap) is taken ahead of breakthrough Stratford scorer No More No.

1st (1) (7/4 -40%) Village Master |
7/4(-40%) | (1) Village Master 7/4, Irish point recruit who has left his hurdling form well behind since switched to chasing, making it four from four in this sphere when scoring at Cartmel 18 days ago. Up another 9 lb but has more to come and can complete a five-timer. 4-4 since sent chasing, making almost all (doesn't always) latest; big chance again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (5/2 -11%) Jigginstown King |
5/2(-11%) | (3) Jigginstown King 5/2, Course winner who resumed with a solid third of 7 in handicap chase at Fakenham (29.1f, good) 36 days ago. Reliable sort who can make his presence felt off a 1 lb lower mark. Back below a winning mark; middle leg of last year's hat-trick was gained at this track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (5/1 -11%) Dicey Rielly |
5/1(-11%) | (2) Dicey Rielly 5/1, Thrived in 2023 when a four-time winner but below her best when fifth of 11 in handicap chase at Hereford (25.2f, good) 30 days ago. Needs to step forward. Two hurdles and two chase wins last summer; below par latest but still considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (13/2 -18%) Masterdream |
13/2(-18%) | (4) Masterdream 13/2, Successful on the Flat at Ffos Las (2m) last summer and over hurdles at Hereford (25f) in November. Not at his best back on the level at Salisbury last time but can't be dismissed now tried chasing. Better judged on Plumpton hurdles second over Easter (3m1f, good); makes chasing debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (350/1 -1650%) Toad Of Toad Hall |
350/1(-1650%) | (5) Toad Of Toad Hall 350/1, Successful twice over fences here last year but he has been well below par on his last three outings, only fifth of seven over C&D 17 days ago. 4 lb out of the handicap too so others appeal more. 2-4 over this C&D, albeit flopping here latest; never raced in a class 4 handicap before. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (300/1 -500%) Always Force It |
300/1(-500%) | (6) Always Force It 300/1, Shaped well in pair of handicap hurdles for Gavin Cromwell last autumn but no show in 5 starts for present yard, including on his chasing debut at Worcester 11 days ago. Also 9 lb "wrong" in the weights. Yet to rediscover peak Irish form; new trip and 7lb out of the weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
VILLAGE MASTER made most of the running when victorious by four lengths in a class 5 event at Cartmel on his latest outing and he was hit with a 9lb rise. Warren Greatrex's five-year-old has an unbeaten record over fences in four starts and he could prove very difficult to beat. Jigginstown King finished third in a stronger contest than this over 3m5f at Fakenham and the drop in trip shouldn't pose him any problems, while Masterdream makes most appeal of the remainder.
VILLAGE MASTER hasn't looked back since sent over fences and is fancied to go 5-5 in this sphere despite taking a 9 lb rise for his most recent success at Cartmel. Course scorer Jigginstown King appeals as the one to chase home Warren Greatrex's improver ahead of fencing newcomer Masterdream.
The thriving VILLAGE MASTER can make it 5-5 over fences barring a destructive pace battle with Jigginstown King.

1st (1) (22/1 -300%) Beat The Heat |
22/1(-300%) | (1) Beat The Heat 22/1, Bagged 3 handicap hurdles here in 2022 and put in another good shift at this venue when third of 12 last autumn. Has struggled since, though, including back here 17 days ago. A first-time visor replaces cheekpieces. The step back up in trip will suit but he needs to find some spark in the new headgear.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (9/2 +44%) Sami Bear |
9/2(+44%) | (3) Sami Bear 9/2, Won at Kempton (21f) in February 2023. Drawn a blank since but he might have needed the outing after 6 months off when a well-held fourth back at Kempton 5 weeks ago. Being eased 3 lb can only help, too. 2m5f Kempton hurdle winner in February 2023; interesting back in a Class 5.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (15/2 -150%) Nadim |
15/2(-150%) | (2) Nadim 15/2, Won 3 times for Milton Harris last summer. Ran out on his Ludlow reappearance but on his best behaviour when a creditable third at Huntingdon 3 weeks ago (final start for Richard Hawker). Contender if in the mood. Should play his part on stable debut after a solid third last time.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (15/8 +6%) Amalfi Bay |
15/8(+6%) | (6) Amalfi Bay 15/8, Fair Flat winner who was runner-up for the second time over hurdles when going down by a length at Stratford (18.5f) 34 days ago, getting going late. Might have needed that after 10 weeks off and good shout here. Appreciated the better ground when 2nd over this trip at Stratford (good); good chance.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (17/2 -6%) State Of Bliss |
17/2(-6%) | (5) State Of Bliss 17/2, Won a 4-runner maiden hurdle at Fakenham last June but has largely found in tough in handicap company since, fading into fifth back at Fakenham 10 days ago. Has yet to make an impact in handicaps as a hurdler but has each-way claims.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (17/2 -31%) Tara Iti |
17/2(-31%) | (4) Tara Iti 17/2, Course winner but hinted at a quirky side when a below-form seventh of 12 here 4 weeks ago. Probably not one for maximum faith but he is well treated if bouncing back to anywhere near his best. On a good mark but has stamina to prove over this longer trip.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (11/1 +21%) Outback Frontiers |
11/1(+21%) | (7) Outback Frontiers 11/1, Showed some ability remains on his second outing back from a long absence when fourth of 10 at Hereford (2m, good to soft) 19 days ago. Not yet fully exposed but still to convince he stays this far.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (200/1 -203%) Mawlood |
200/1(-203%) | (10) Mawlood 200/1, Poor maiden who has raced exclusively over fences in the last couple of years. Easy to look elsewhere. 8lb wrong here and it's easy to look elsewhere.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (250/1 -1150%) Hesbehindyou |
250/1(-1150%) | (8) Hesbehindyou 250/1, Still a maiden and absent since finishing sixth of 12 over a slightly longer trip here 13 months ago. Lightly raced 8yo maiden; with the step back in trip a concern, others make more appeal.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (350/1 -961%) Den The Diva |
350/1(-961%) | (9) Den The Diva 350/1, Posted much her best effort of late when third of 10 over C&D last month but no shock when she wasn't in anything like the same form at Market Rasen since. Inconsistent and has plenty to prove from out of the weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Not beaten far at Stratford last time out, AMALFI BAY sets the standard on recent form and can get off the mark over hurdles at the sixth time of asking. Nadim showed up well on his most recent outing when placed at Huntingdon and he is of interest on his first run for new connections, while Beat The Heat and Sami Bear are expected to be thereabouts as well.
AMALFI BAY is taken to go one better than in similar company at Stratford last month. Nadim is another who arrives on the back of a good placed effort and is second choice ahead of Tara Iti, who wasn't at his best last time but is well handicapped if on a going day.
Nadim can make his presence felt on stable debut but preference is for AMALFI BAY who was a solid second over this trip last time.

9/4(-29%) | (1) Earth Cry 9/4, Creditable second of 13 in handicap hurdle (7/2) at Uttoxeter (19.9f, good to soft) 25 days ago. Should go well again. Solid efforts in defeat the last twice; good chance here off the same mark.. |

40/1(-21%) | (6) No Mean Feat 40/1, Pulled up sole start in points and just poor form over hurdles. Saddle slipped on debut for this yard but he has a lot to prove. Has made little impact since switching to handicaps; others make more appeal.. |

3rd (2) (4/1 -100%) Blow Your Horn |
4/1(-100%) | (2) Blow Your Horn 4/1, Fairly useful stayer on the Flat and is shaping up well now, producing his best effort in this sphere when second in a handicap at Warwick (travelled strongly) last time. Capable of going one better. Went close in the new headgear on handicap hurdle debut; up 2lb but shouldn't be far away.. |

4th (7) (15/2 +63%) Dreadpoetssociety |
15/2(+63%) | (7) Dreadpoetssociety 15/2, Well held in bumpers/hurdles and fared no better for a switch to handicaps at this course last time. Hard to make a solid case for. Finished a well-held seventh on handicap debut; down 4lb but hard to warm to.. |

5th (8) (25/1 -56%) Sullivan Bay |
25/1(-56%) | (8) Sullivan Bay 25/1, Pulled up in a juvenile hurdle at the end of 2023. Did win on AW Flat for Gary Brown in January but well held since joining this yard. Has had a breathing operation. Needs to find significant improvement on handicap debut but has been given wind surgery.. |

6th (3) (6/1 +50%) Cuban Court |
6/1(+50%) | (3) Cuban Court 6/1, Patchy record over hurdles so far and again failed to fire at Plumpton last time. Becoming well treated and cheekpieces could perk him up. Pedigree suggests he could improve for this longer trip; respected with cheekpieces added.. |

7th (9) (66/1 -164%) Solid Fuel |
66/1(-164%) | (9) Solid Fuel 66/1, Doesn't appear to retain much ability. Doesn't have a good record off the back of a break and others have more pressing claims.. |

|PU| (10) (50/1 +24%) Vintage Icon |
50/1(+24%) | (10) Vintage Icon 50/1, Seemingly of little account. Yet to show any worthwhile form after six starts over hurdles; hard to make a case for.. |

|PU| (4) (100/1 -1900%) Tip Top Tonto |
100/1(-1900%) | (4) Tip Top Tonto 100/1, Bounced back to his best to register a first success at Fakenham in April and wasn't disgraced there on final outing for Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole last time. New yard puts blinkers back on. Interesting. Makes stable debut; probably needs more for the win off current mark, but respected.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Runner-up on each of his last three starts, including at Uttoxeter last month behind one who has gone in again since, EARTH CRY deserves a change in luck and this unique track may well see him at his very best. Neil Mulholland's charge is narrowly preferred to Warwick second Blow Your Horn, as well as Tip Top Tonto, who has strong claims on the form of his penultimate effort at Fakenham.
BLOW YOUR HORN benefited from the refitting of cheekpieces when a strong-travelling second at Warwick last time and, in what appears to be a thin race, he's fancied to go one better at the possible expense of Earth Cry. Tip Top Tonto is no forlorn hope on debut for a new stable.
Blow Your Horn is feared but EARTH CRY chased home a subsequent winner last time and looks the one to side with.
Ths is the racecard key.
