|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (250/1 +0%) Quornofamonday |
250/1(+0%) | (3) Quornofamonday 250/1, Fair hurdler. Fair winner at 16f over hurdles. 200/1, pulled up in novice chase at Punchestown (18.9f, soft) 21 days ago. Rated 103 over hurdles; never figured in two starts over fences; no chance in this field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (100/1 +0%) One Night Standard |
100/1(+0%) | (10) One Night Standard 100/1, Fair hurdler. Respectable sixth of 19 in handicap hurdle at Navan (20.2f, good to soft, 20/1) 28 days ago. Switches from hurdles to chase. May well do better. No show in 2 starts over fences and only rated 110 over hurdles; look elsewhere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (80/1 +20%) In The Trenches |
80/1(+20%) | (6) In The Trenches 80/1, Fair hurdler. Respectable third of 7 in novice hurdle at Downpatrick (17.3f, good to soft, 2/1) 64 days ago, unsuited by way race developed. Makes chase debut. Rated 107 over hurdles; consistent in defeat but makes limited appeal in this company. |

150/1(0%) | (7) Kazakh D'arthel 150/1, Fair hurdler. 125/1, good thirteenth of 25 in novice hurdle at this course (16f, good) 14 days ago. Makes chase debut. Has gone the wrong way since good Listowel run; this looks too tough on first chase start. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MAJBOROUGH heads three strong contenders for Willie Mullins. The French import was thrown in the deep end by current connections last spring when third in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown before landing the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Mark Walsh's mount has the physique to do well over fences and gets the vote over Tullyhill. The point-to-point winner impressed when scoring twice over hurdles last season before finding Grade 1 company too hot. Asian Master also won twice over hurdles and was a creditable fourth in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham, while Western Fold and Theatre Native appear the pick of the remainder.
Last season's triumph hurdle winner MAJBOROUGH is an imposing type on looks and should take the beating on his chase bow. His stablemates Tullyhill and Asian Master, who were both useful over hurdles, may emerge as the main threats.
ASIAN MASTER chased home current Gold Cup favourite Fact To File in a point & has always looked like one who would improve sent chasing

1st (2) (7/1 -100%) Judicieuse Allen |
7/1(-100%) | (2) Judicieuse Allen 7/1, Winning hurdler who confirmed chase debut promise equipped with a tongue strap when winning 7-runner novice chase (11/8) at Sligo (17.6f, good) 73 days ago, drawing clear late on. Looks the type to do better still. Won Sligo mares' beginners' smoothly in October; step up in trip fine; leading contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (11/4 +73%) Kinturk Kalanisi |
11/4(+73%) | (6) Kinturk Kalanisi 11/4, Runner-up sole start in points and positive profile over hurdles, landing a maiden in March prior to improved efforts when placed in listed handicaps (including here) on final 2 starts. Encouraging effort when third of 4 on novice chase debut at Navan 4 weeks ago and there's better to come. No match for Better Days Ahead and Slade Steel on chasing debut at Navan; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (7/2 +0%) Native Speaker |
7/2(+0%) | (3) Native Speaker 7/2, Hurdles winner who proved his chase debut running all wrong when readily taking 7-runner novice chase at this course (20f) 32 days ago. Needs considering with progress on the cards. Made all here over 2m4f latest; likely to get hassled for the lead but has every chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (11/1 -22%) A Penny A Hundred |
11/1(-22%) | (1) A Penny A Hundred 11/1, Fairly useful chaser. Didn't need to be at best when winning 8-runner mares' maiden chase at Ballinrobe (23.4f, good to soft, 5/6) in September. Clearly not 100% when pulled up in Grade 3 at Tipperary (20f) in October and she's the type to bounce back. Pulled up in Grade 3 over 2m4f latest; has to prove she can serve it up to the boys. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (22/1 -57%) Spirit Of Legend |
22/1(-57%) | (9) Spirit Of Legend 22/1, Useful winner at 20f over hurdles. 10/1, fell in handicap chase at Navan (20.7f, soft) 7 days ago. Must improve in the jumping department if he's to figure. Hood on 1st time. Late market support when a faller at Navan on return; jumping issues need to be resolved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (11/1 -47%) Ho My Lord |
11/1(-47%) | (5) Ho My Lord 11/1, Fairly useful chaser. First run since leaving W. P. Mullins when second of 4 in novice chase (7/4) at Naas (16f, good to soft) 34 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Good debut for this yard when runner-up to Farren Glory at Naas on his return last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (4/1 +33%) Mint Boy |
4/1(+33%) | (8) Mint Boy 4/1, Useful winner at 3m over hurdles. Third of 12 in novice chase (4/1) at Galway (22.5f, soft) on debut over fences 48 days ago. Should improve. Third at Galway on chasing debut; beat Rainbow Trail on sole point-to-point start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (11/1 -57%) Rainbow Trail |
11/1(-57%) | (4) Rainbow Trail 11/1, Bumper/hurdles winner who made a successful debut over fences at Gowran (20f) in October. Fell next start and this less demanding than when finishing third in Grade 2 company 3 weeks back. Last of 3 in Grade 2 behind a pair of stablemates latest; should find this a tad easier. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (20/1 -43%) Magellan Strait |
20/1(-43%) | (7) Magellan Strait 20/1, Useful winner at 17f on flat. Lightly-raced maiden over hurdles. Creditable third of 8 in novice hurdle at Thurles (22.9f, good to soft, 11/8) 15 days ago. Makes chase debut. Jumping let him down when 3rd at Thurles; will need to up his game now sent chasing. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HO MY LORD has been quite lightly raced but has shown definite promise since sent over fences. The Navan maiden hurdle winner filled the runner-up spot behind Il Etait Temps on his seasonal debut last season and again shaped well on his reappearance this term when second to Farren Glory at Naas. Native Speaker put a disappointing effort at Sligo behind him when scoring in good style over a similar trip here last month and rates more of a threat than Sligo winner Judicieuse Allen. Rainbow Trail won over 2m4f at Gowran, while Kinturk Kalanisi will probably be suited by a greater test of stamina.
NATIVE SPEAKER showed his chase debut running all wrong when running out a dominant winner from the front here over shorter 32 days ago and he's fancied to make another bold bid with further progress in the offing. Mint Boy, Judicieuse Allen and Rainbow Trail head up the dangers in an interesting novices' chase.
NATIVE SPEAKER won with a lot of authority here last month and will take some stopping if he turns up in a similar mood

1st (10) (1/2 +67%) Beyond Your Dreams |
1/2(+67%) | (10) Beyond Your Dreams 1/2, Fairly useful Flat winner and has made a bright start over hurdles, improving on debut form when second of 11 in juvenile (18/5) at Navan (16f, good to soft) 27 days ago. Should improve further and has excellent clams. Only found Total Look too strong at Navan latest; strongest form here; take some beating. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (7/2 -75%) Slurricane |
7/2(-75%) | (6) Slurricane 7/2, Fairly useful Flat winne and going the right way over hurdles, finishing third of 21 at Punchestown (16.7f) 3 weeks ago. Seems sure to make a bold bid. Three solid runs over hurdles to date, third of 21 at Punchestown latest; ground versatile. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (14/1 -40%) Young Churchill |
14/1(-40%) | (9) Young Churchill 14/1, Fairly useful maiden on Flat (stays 1½m), runner-up penultimate outing, possibly found race coming too soon last time. In the right hands to make it as a hurdler. Didn't handle softer ground at Bellewstown; yard can ready one for this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (10/1 -25%) Chortal |
10/1(-25%) | (3) Chortal 10/1, Fair form when down the field in maiden/minor events on Flat, left poorly placed last time. Has left John & Thady Gosden and been gelded. Interesting hurdling debutant. Gordon Elliott has won the last three runnings of this race so a market watch is advised. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (200/1 +0%) Sprinkles |
200/1(+0%) | (14) Sprinkles 200/1, Modest maiden on the Flat and offered little in a juvenile hurdle at Punchestown (15.5f, good to soft) on NH debut 29 days ago. No form to speak of on the Flat and fared no better on her hurdling debut at Punchestown. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (16/1 -129%) Ballyearl |
16/1(-129%) | (2) Ballyearl 16/1, Buck's Boum gelding. Dam, maiden over hurdles/fences in France, half-sister to fairly useful French chaser (19f-3½m winner) Denalie Bellevue. In top hands and needs a market check. Juvenile with very much a jumps pedigree and very interesting on debut with stable flying. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (66/1 -65%) My Mate Tony |
66/1(-65%) | (5) My Mate Tony 66/1, Modest maiden on the Flar who was out of his depth when pulled up in Prestbury Juvenile Hurdle (100/1) at Cheltenham (16.4f, good) 28 days ago won by East India Dock. This is more suitable at least. Impossible task in Grade 2 at Cheltenham; each-way possibilities back in calmer waters. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (100/1 -25%) Medical Man |
100/1(-25%) | (4) Medical Man 100/1, Went with little encouragement when tenth of 13 in juvenile hurdle at Ballinrobe (16.8f, good to soft) on NH debut 124 days ago. Poor when sent off 7-1 on his debut at Ballinrobe in August; looks out of his depth here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (28/1 -12%) Babich |
28/1(-12%) | (1) Babich 28/1, Fairly useful maiden on the Flat. Shaped with some encouragement when fourth on hurdling debut at Punchestown but was in the process of going backwards from that when unseating rider last in juvenile hurdle at Cork (15.7f, soft) 6 days ago. Solid hurdles debut at Punchestown but was going backwards when unseating rider at Cork. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (8) (12/1 +14%) Teofimo |
12/1(+14%) | (8) Teofimo 12/1, Fairly useful form when placed in 1½m maiden on second of 3 starts on Flat but dropped away straight having refused to settle last time. Will need to settle better now switching to hurdling. Hood and tongue strap on. Last at Leopardstown when last seen; has a chance if he takes to hurdling; hood added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (200/1 -300%) Makaiah |
200/1(-300%) | (12) Makaiah 200/1, Modest maiden on the Flat, runner-up in claimer penultimate outing, below form in handicap last time. Likely outsider on hurdle debut. Runner-up in a Flat maiden for Ger Lyons but is only rated 56 in that sphere; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (250/1 -25%) Run Away Merida |
250/1(-25%) | (13) Run Away Merida 250/1, Tongue strap on, tenth of 12 in juvenile hurdle (125/1) at this course (16f, good) on NH debut 39 days ago. Well beaten behind a couple of these on her C&D debut; will be one for handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (11) (100/1 +20%) Chartwell's Lady |
100/1(+20%) | (11) Chartwell's Lady 100/1, Fair maiden on the Flat. Thrice-raced maiden over hurdles. Brought down third in juvenile hurdle at Punchestown (16.7f, soft, 200/1) 21 days ago. Better on her second start over hurdles around here but brought down at Punchestown latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (7) (200/1 -60%) Spencer Dock |
200/1(-60%) | (7) Spencer Dock 200/1, Well held sole outing on Flat for Kevin Prendergast and makes no appeal now going hurdling. Tailed off last on sole Flat outing at Navan in May; first run for new yard; absence. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SLURRICANE won on the Flat at Killarney earlier this year and has been placed on all three outings since sent over hurdles. The Ross O'Sullivan-trained gelding beat all bar Prairie Angel at Down Royal and again shaped well when third to Its Bilbo in a 21-runner Punchestown maiden. Beyond Your Dreams had a lower rating on the Flat but did win a 1m4f handicap at the Listowel Festival and has filled the runner-up spot on both hurdle starts, including behind Total Look at Navan last month. Young Churchill was placed a couple of times on the Flat, including behind Fighter in a 1m2f Curragh maiden, while Chortal and Ballyearl are others to note on hurdling debut.
BEYON YOUR DREAMS was unlucky to bump into a useful prospect at Navan last month and looks the most persuasive option with further improvement on the cards. Slurricane is going the right way also and is considered the main threat ahead of Chortal.
Slurricane brings solid form to the table, but BEYOND YOUR DREAMS (nap) holds the form edge and will prove difficult to beat

Has good chance on form. Good ground winner in h'cap hurdle at Galway; lesser effort here since; career-best needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

17/2(-13%) | (1) Moylussa 17/2, Lightly-raced winner under Rules. Won 13-runner novice hurdle at Tipperary (16.5f, soft, 2/1) 22 days ago. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Opening mark no gift. Off the mark in Tipperary maiden hurdle last time; fair opening mark; quicker ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (33/1 -136%) Another Glendaars |
33/1(-136%) | (6) Another Glendaars 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 13 in novice hurdle at this course (16f, good, 18/1) 39 days ago. Others look stronger. Minor promise in trio of maiden hurdle starts but the handicapper hasn't taken any chances. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|C| (10) (9/1 -6%) Kp's Ladyofknock |
9/1(-6%) | (10) Kp's Ladyofknock 9/1, Career best when winning 15-runner handicap hurdle at Clonmel (16.4f, soft, 28/1) on debut for new yard 11 days ago, proving 2½ lengths too strong for the re-opposing Mayos Vendangeur, kept up to work. Struggled for previous yard but left form behind with Clonmel win last week; up 8lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (8/1 -45%) Boston Rajj |
8/1(-45%) | (3) Boston Rajj 8/1, Lightly-raced maiden under Rules. Excellent third of 11 in handicap hurdle at Limerick (21f, soft, 11/1) 25 days ago. Down in trip and should have a part to play. Left form behind with 2l 3rd on h'cap debut but possibly vulnerable back at this trip. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ARCH ENEMY has won six times on the Flat, including twice this autumn, and finished off the campaign on a mark of 84 after scoring at Leopardstown. The selection has only run once over hurdles in the past two years, when far from disgraced in mid-division at Roscommon in July, and should be able to make an impact off her current rating. Kp's Ladyofknock left previous form behind when successful on her first start for Mark Fahey at Clonmel earlier this month, beating Mayos Vendangeur by two and a half lengths. Oakley was unlucky to come up against the well-backed Brave Troop at Thurles last time and is another to consider.
The vote goes to OAKLEY, who resumed with a good second in a big-field Thurles handicap recently and he should have more to offer in this sphere. Arch Enemy has been in fine form on the Flat of late and he will be a big threat if able to continue the good work back over hurdles. Ragmans Corner is also strongly considered, while handicap debutantes Stoneyford Lady and Albatala both need a second look.
A chance is taken on OAKLEY, who chased home a well-backed rival at Thurles last month and would have finished closer without an error

FISHERY LANE was a useful sort in bumpers last season, notably when fifth behind stablemate Jasmin De Vaux in the Grade 1 at the Cheltenham Festival. He hails from a French family with plenty of jumping winners and riding arrangements suggest he's preferred to Inn At The Park, who was also placed in bumpers. Point-to-point winner Melbourne Shamrock rates an obvious threat having finished a creditable third in a bumper at the Punchestown Festival, while Ayiko won an Ayr bumper last season and was placed in a Naas maiden hurdle. Committee Meeting and Coumeenoole have a similar profile, being point-to-point winners with placed form over hurdles.
FISHERY LANE was surrounded by several subsequent hurdle winners when fifth in the Champion bumper at the Cheltenham Festival in March and can make a successful start to his jumps career. Melbourne Shamrock had the selection behind him when a promising third in a Punchestown bumper in May and is second choice ahead of Stuart Crawford's Naas third Ayiko.
This can go the way of last year's Champion Bumper fifth FISHERY LANE who looks like a big player stepping up in trip on return

Rebelle Chaud has obviously had training issues, but ran a cracker on her reappearance over this trip at Gowran last month when runner-up to Colleen Danu. LETTERS TO JULIET was tracking the leaders when unseating her rider three out in the same event and gets the vote having previously shown promise, including when third at Bellewstown. Jouster won over hurdles here earlier this year and now reverts back having scored over fences at Tramore last time, while any market move for Kaikoura would be significant as he steps into handicap company after staying on into second in a Limerick maiden. Stealthy Tom is much better over fences than hurdles.
A few with chances but Gavin Cromwell's recent Tramore chase victor JOUSTER could prove the answer given he reverts to this sphere on a handy-looking mark. Letters To Juliet could emerge as the main danger provided he is none the worse for his Gowran exertions, with Rebelle Chaud and Nells Choice also in the picture. Stealthy Tom completes the shortlist.
JOUSTER has been in good form over fences recently in beginners' company and looks a major player from a mark of 102 back over timber

PORTARLINGTON has proved a great acquisition for current connections, beating subsequent winner Down Around over this C&D last month and following up when switched to fences at Tramore. The selection appears to have been found a decent opportunity to complete the hat-trick. Miss Lia won a 15-runner maiden over a similar trip at Tramore in August and has scope for improvement as she tries handicap company for the first time, while Jetaway To Getaway is another to consider having been placed over this trip at Gowran last month. Slim Marvel and Liberated Light are others for the shortlist.
LIBERATED LIGHT's jumping isn't always foot-perfect but he is nevertheless appealing off a reduced mark here on the back of an encouraging effort in a competitive 2m Navan handicap last month. This stiffer test could be just what the doctor ordered. Slim Marvel is next on the list ahead of unexposed Tramore maiden winner Miss Lia and Portarlington, who is bidding for the hat-trick following back-to-back victories over fences.
This looks like a good opportunity for PORTARLINGTON to record a hat-trick after scoring from a 1lb lower chase mark last time

FUTURE PROSPECT won a point-to-point for Denis Murphy at Castlelands in March and was sold just a few days later for 150,000 pounds at the Cheltenham Festival. The daughter of Order Of St George is a half-sister to three decent winners, including Redhotfillypeppers, who won four times for Willie Mullins. The champion trainer also saddles Blue Velvet, who was bought for 170,000 euro soon after unseating at the last when holding every chance on her only point start. Swing Davis won between the flags and was third on her debut under Rules at Navan last month, while Galileo Springs and Dee's Lady are others to note.
John Magnier and Willie Mullins team up with winning pointer FUTURE PROSPECT, who scored readily in a point, and she may well be capable of making a successful Rules debut for all that Swing Davis arrives on the back of an excellent start in a listed event. Blue Velvet is another interesting recruit having unseated when sure to score between the flags.
Patrick Mullins has opted to ride FUTURE PROSPECT over stablemate Blue Velvet and that could be a clue in itself
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
