1st (7) (3/10 +32%) Vincenzo |
3/10(+32%) | (7) Vincenzo 3/10, Has contested stronger races over hurdles and placed 3 times, although he burned a few fingers again at Ascot (19.3f) last time after a wind op and fitted with a tongue tie, his jumping letting him down more than once. Looks more of a chaser but this is a good opening down in trip. Similar form in three hurdle runs this year; leading form claims dropping to 2m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (8/1 -45%) Rangatira Jack |
8/1(-45%) | (6) Rangatira Jack 8/1, Fair form over hurdles, placed in the mud over bare 3m at Wincanton 3 weeks ago. Has races in him. Going the right way over hurdles but he'll need another step forward to take this. |

15/2(-36%) | (4) Intrepide Sud 15/2, Fair bumper winner given a considerate introduction to hurdling after 20 months off at Taunton recently. Should improve. Ran okay after lengthy absence on last month's hurdle debut; should fare better today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

12/1(-20%) | (5) Move With The Beat 12/1, Dual point winner who has looked in need of the experience both completed starts over hurdles. Will make more appeal in handicaps. 2-3 in points but he's yet to sparkle under rules; handicaps will provide better openings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (40/1 -21%) Impecunious |
40/1(-21%) | (3) Impecunious 40/1, Runner-up on sole outing in point bumpers but made an unpromising start to career under Rules in bumper here 2 months ago. Dropped right away on heavy ground on rules debut here in February; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

50/1(-52%) | (9) Apples Moon 50/1, From the family of very smart hurdler/chaser (2m-2¾m winner) Finian's Oscar. Has looked a work in progress in bumper/Chepstow novice hurdle. Well beaten in a bumper/novice hurdle (both mares only) thus far; should do better in time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (12/1 +40%) Vision De Maine |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Intrepide Sud can do better with a run behind him but VINCENZO sets a fair standard and this could be the day he breaks his duck.

1st (5) (7/1 +7%) Saint Cyr De Pail |
7/1(+7%) | (5) Saint Cyr De Pail 7/1, £28,000 buy from good French NH family. 11/1, down the field on hurdles debut over 21.6f here last month, green and likely to learn from the experience. Couldn't hold position on 2m5f debut here; this easier test can see improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (1/6 +77%) Johnny Blue |
1/6(+77%) | (3) Johnny Blue 1/6, Fairly useful bumper winner who chased home a useful type on hurdling debut at Hereford before struggling at Fontwell 12 weeks ago (untidy 2 out and folded). Yard going much better now and worth another chance down in trip in a thin maiden. Unsuited by soft ground in January but the one to beat on 2m hurdle debut form on good. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (7/1 +50%) Bathgate |
7/1(+50%) | (9) Bathgate 7/1, Offered little in a pair of bumpers but fared much better sent hurdling after 9 weeks off at Huntingdon (2m) 5 weeks ago. Needs to build on that. Moderate bumper form but improved on hurdle debut and this stiffer 2m can suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (50/1 +50%) Tiger Blade |
50/1(+50%) | (6) Tiger Blade 50/1, Showed just modest form in a pair of bumpers for Tom Weston last spring and has been soundly beaten all 3 starts over hurdles for current connections. Signs of ability in good-ground bumper; shown little in novice hurdles. |

100/1(+33%) | (2) Giddy Up 100/1, Brother to a point winner and modest hurdler/chaser William Philo. No promise in Taunton novice hurdle (250/1) on debut last week. 250-1, finished well back on his hurdle debut at Taunton last week. |

Hurdle newcomer Dunbulcan Bay should come on plenty for his bumper debut here but JOHNNY BLUE has the best credentials.

1st (11) (6/1 +70%) Captain Wallace |
6/1(+70%) | (11) Captain Wallace 6/1, Went close on the second of his 2 starts in Irish points but little form in 4 starts over hurdles so far, including when sent off as joint-favourite on handicap debut at Hereford last time. Still remains early days, though major step forward required. Hurdle career off to a slow start and a disappointing joint-favourite for handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (12/1 +25%) Hillsin |
12/1(+25%) | (8) Hillsin 12/1, Should have made a winning start for Chris Honour when third at Worcester (20f, good) in July, finishing with running left having been tenderly handled run-in. Subsequently joined another new yard but finished well held at Southwell in January. Has had a wind op since. Maiden; capable on his day but handicap form has been mixed for different yards. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (13/8 -62%) Soir De Gala |
13/8(-62%) | (1) Soir De Gala 13/8, Shaped well on handicap debut and built on that effort when opening his account at Taunton (16.5f, soft) 8 days ago, travelling strongly and winning with plenty in hand. Can score again under a penalty now that he's up and running. Progressive in handicaps, easy winner last week, but now effectively 14lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (8/1 +11%) Electric Eddy |
8/1(+11%) | (4) Electric Eddy 8/1, Some promise on his first 2 starts in maiden hurdles, fifth of 14 at Roscommon (15.5f, good to soft) in July. However, well held the following month and he's been off since ahead of first run for yard after leaving Mrs Prunella Dobbs. Makes handicap debut. Off since August; showed hurdle promise in Ireland; worth market check for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (10/3 +5%) Paddy In The Caddy |
10/3(+5%) | (7) Paddy In The Caddy 10/3, Didn't make much impact in maiden/novice hurdles but left that form well behind when making a successful handicap debut at Huntingdon (20.7f, good to soft) last month, impressing with how he travelled through the race. Not taken lightly. Improved for return to good ground when winning handicap debut; up 4lb; more to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (25/1 -317%) Zoeman |
25/1(-317%) | (2) Zoeman 25/1, Made an encouraging start when runner-up in junior hurdle at Ffos Las and, after a 17-month absence, again showed promise when fifth of 15 in maiden at Ludlow (15.8f, heavy) in February. Below that level last time, but he remains with potential as he goes handicapping. Best hurdle form on 2nd start; weak finisher next time but handicaps offer more scope. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (10/1 +50%) Imperial Jade |
10/1(+50%) | (5) Imperial Jade 10/1, Progressed with each start over hurdles last term, ending the campaign with victory in a junior event at Chepstow (16.1f, good to soft). Hasn't gone on this season, though did face tough asks in her last 2 races so the return to handicapping could help. Won 2m juvenile hurdle last spring; not gone on from that and others more obvious. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (40/1 +39%) Pescatorius |
40/1(+39%) | (9) Pescatorius 40/1, Finished down the field in bumpers and hasn't fared much better over hurdles, pulled up on his handicap debut at Hereford (19.7f, soft) last month. Looks to be up against it. Trainer going well but this one made low-key start to his handicap career last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (28/1 +30%) My Lady Phoenix |
28/1(+30%) | (10) My Lady Phoenix 28/1, Produced her best effort when runner-up in a Chepstow novice (16.1f, soft) in November but pulled up in handicaps both outings since. Application of a hood needs to help spark a revival. Pulled up in both handicaps; addition of a hood needs to make all the difference. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (50/1 -400%) The Cypriot |
50/1(-400%) | (3) The Cypriot 50/1, Modest form in bumpers but did show more than on hurdles debut when fourth of 9 in maiden at this course (16.7f, heavy) in March. Failed to repeat that effort at Fontwell 22 days ago, so he needs to get back on the up switched to a handicap. Some minor promise here in March; struggling early at Fontwell since; handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (18/1 +55%) Dixie Flyer |
18/1(+55%) | (6) Dixie Flyer 18/1, Fair form at best when trained by Henry de Bromhead, but he remains a maiden over hurdles and has offered little in 4 starts for his current yard. Continues to fall in the weights but he has enough to prove at prevent. In the frame 4 times over hurdles in Ireland; not yet found form for new yard after layoff. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
This can lie between the recent winners Soir De Gala and PADDY IN THE CADDY with the latter perhaps more favoured by drying ground.

1st (6) (5/2 +9%) Bullets Hill |
5/2(+9%) | (6) Bullets Hill 5/2, Fairly useful dual winner in bumpers faced a couple of stiff tasks early into his hurdles career and got back on track returned to more realistic company when third of 8 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, heavy) 13 days ago. Longer trip here will suit and he's highly respected. Dual bumper winner on good to soft; close up on handicap debut latest; down 1lb; dangerous. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (9/2 +25%) Elusiveness |
9/2(+25%) | (9) Elusiveness 9/2, Flat-bred mare again hinted at ability when placed in heavy-ground novice event here (16.7f) in February. Quicker conditions now could be a plus given her pedigree and she's the type to do better now handicapping. Minor hurdle promise; unraced on good ground but still worth a look on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (10/3 +33%) Star Of Affinity |
10/3(+33%) | (8) Star Of Affinity 10/3, Some promise when fifth in Taunton bumper and 2m Kempton novice hurdle first 2 starts. Again looked a stayer when fourth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Plumpton (17.8f, good to soft) 18 days ago and he's likely to be of greater interest a bit further down the line. Hinted at ability; never seriously involved on handicap debut; this stiffer test can suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) ( ) Harry's Hope |
() | (11) Harry's Hope , Irish point winner who showed more than previously under Rules when fourth of 9 in maiden hurdle here (17f) in January. Back on track when third of 12 in handicap hurdle at Hereford (19.7f, soft) 23 days ago and hard to discount. Good-ground Irish point winner; down 11lb for 2 handicap runs; drying ground could help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (16/1 -14%) Groom De Cotte |
16/1(-14%) | (3) Groom De Cotte 16/1, Only muted efforts over hurdles recently and suffered an early fall sent chasing here in December. Well treated on the pick of last season's efforts but he's hard to fancy back over the smaller obstacles. Maiden; fell over fences last time; well handicapped on best hurdle form; conditions suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (10/1 -54%) Thurley |
10/1(-54%) | (4) Thurley 10/1, Promising fourth at Wincanton on his hurdles bow in the autumn and got back on track when filling the same position there in January. Opening mark looks workable on return from 98-day break. Signs of ability in two 1m7f Wincanton maidens; worth a market check on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (14/1 +0%) Can't Say |
14/1(+0%) | (1) Can't Say 14/1, Pulled up in a point and little impact over hurdles so far, albeit hinting at ability when fifth here on hurdles bow. Opening handicap mark likely requires improvement. Promising 3rd in a 2m maiden here in March; can figure now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (28/1 -12%) Kingoftheswingerz |
28/1(-12%) | (5) Kingoftheswingerz 28/1, Modest in bumpers and showed aptitude for hurdling when third of 9 in a novice event at Wincanton. Backwards steps since, though, and others make greater appeal. Modest hurdle form so far but drying ground may well help on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (22/1 -340%) Miss Hunky Dory |
22/1(-340%) | (2) Miss Hunky Dory 22/1, Third in a bumper here on New Year's Day and gave reason for encouragement when a staying-on second in a Wincanton novice (15.2f) last month. Failed to repeat that at Chepstow a fortnight later but step up in trip bodes well on handicap debut. Well-connected mare who can appreciate the step up in trip on handicap debut; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (33/1 -230%) Buck Of Maine |
33/1(-230%) | (10) Buck Of Maine 33/1, From a good French family and reached the frame in both bumpers last year. Little impact in a trip of novice hurdles since but, assuming he's tuned-up following a 7-month break, improvement may well be forthcoming now that he's pitched into a handicap. Close up in good-ground bumper; could improve back on sound surface at a realistic level. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

1st (12) (11/1 -175%) Kick Up A Storm |
11/1(-175%) | (12) Kick Up A Storm 11/1, Hasn't built on last autumn's hurdle debut third in 2 subsequent outings but could easily prove a different proposition for his top yard now handicapping after a break. Also wears first-time cheekpieces. Market confidence significant. Returns from a break for handicap debut from a top yard in good form; cheekpieces added.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (14) (11/4 +0%) Cooleenymore |
11/4(+0%) | (14) Cooleenymore 11/4, Has made the frame all 5 starts in handicap hurdles and she was an emphatic winner on second run over fences under Harry Kimber here (24.2f, heavy) 12 days ago. Obvious claims back in this sphere off the same mark. Ready chase winner latest; well treated if repeating that but far from certain she will.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (12/1 -33%) Awesome Foursome |
12/1(-33%) | (6) Awesome Foursome 12/1, Opened account in this sphere at Perth in September and largely creditable efforts in defeat since. Beaten 19 lengths when third of 10 at Haydock (24.3f, good to soft) last month but that was a stronger handicap than this and he's one to consider. Beaten 19l at Haydock (3m, soft) latest; drops 1lb and should be competitive.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (15/2 +77%) Just In A Bit |
15/2(+77%) | (4) Just In A Bit 15/2, Placed both starts between the flags and showed promise in novice hurdles (both at around 2½m) at Southwell and Leicester. However, he hasn't made much of an impact switched to handicap company the last twice. Weakened to be 21l third at Wetherby (3m, soft); early days but does have a bit to prove.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (14/1 +30%) Defi Nonantais |
14/1(+30%) | (5) Defi Nonantais 14/1, Steady improvement in 3 novice hurdles but only a respectable effort without finding the necessary progress on his handicap bow at Wincanton last month. Bit better in cheekpieces/tongue strap following a wind op when fifth of 10 at Plumpton (20.5f, good to soft) recently. Improvement needed. Fifth at Plumpton latest; drops 2lb and likely to need more improvement to defy this mark.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (22/1 -83%) Dear Ralphy |
22/1(-83%) | (9) Dear Ralphy 22/1, Runner-up either side of his decisive breakthrough success at Chepstow (23.6f, soft) in November. Would be in with a shout if reproducing that level of form but he needs to bounce back following a lacklustre display at Plumpton last time. Blinkers enlisted. Bit to prove after falling in a chase and running no sort of race over hurdles last time.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (15) (7/1 +30%) My Girl Katie |
7/1(+30%) | (15) My Girl Katie 7/1, On a good mark judged on last season's peak hurdles form and appears to be coming back to the boil judged on her respectable efforts at Hereford and Taunton the last twice. Needs consdering. Took a step back in the right direction latest but others push stronger claims.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (16/1 +36%) The Midwife |
16/1(+36%) | (10) The Midwife 16/1, Point winner who showed improved form under Rules when striking on her handicap bow at Market Rasen (20.6f, good to soft) in February. However, has come up short off this mark both starts since and she looks vulnerable. Sprang a 25-1 surprise in February but handicapper has had her measure since.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (22/1 -144%) Ithaka |
22/1(-144%) | (3) Ithaka 22/1, Landed a gamble in a Wincanton handicap last spring and while there's been little to shout about since then, his latest third in a 14-runner Taunton contest (3m, soft) was more like it. Definite chance if able to build on that off the same mark here. Took a step back in the right direction latest; each-way player if he can back that up.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (7/2 +35%) Moonlight Artist |
7/2(+35%) | (11) Moonlight Artist 7/2, Got off the mark over C&D in November and largely in good nick since, second of 6 in handicap hurdle at Wincanton (24.7f, heavy) 28 days ago. No threat to the winner that day but eased slightly in class now and he's not discounted. Below par last time but is interesting back here (C&D winner) with claimer assigned.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (28/1 +44%) Captain Marco |
28/1(+44%) | (13) Captain Marco 28/1, Has merely hinted at ability thus far, little impact upped to 3m for his handicap debut at Taunton last time. Best to look elsewhere. Hasn't yet managed to get competitive in four starts; needs a favour from the handicapper.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (40/1 -150%) Tough Approach |
40/1(-150%) | (2) Tough Approach 40/1, Left initial hurdles efforts well behind when runner-up in a 21f Kempton novice in February but he ran no sort of a race upped to 3m for his handicap debut at Taunton next time. Since undergone another wind op and sports first-time cheekpieces. Had wind surgery after being pulled up; drops 3lb/in grade; cheekpieces on; interesting.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (1) (20/1 -67%) Rebel Intentions |
20/1(-67%) | (1) Rebel Intentions 20/1, Took a step forward when making all at Ascot (19.3f, good to soft) in November and good third upped to 3m there later that month. Not in the same form since, though saying that he didn't perform badly back from a 9-week break returned to Ascot last month. 2 lb lower now and couldn't rule out. Below par since Ascot third but could be revived down in grade.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (25/1 +24%) Sea Village |
25/1(+24%) | (8) Sea Village 25/1, Remains winless following 8 attempts in this sphere and while he has a fighting chance judged on his third in a big-field Hereford handicap (25.5f, soft) last month, he completely misfired at Bangor next time. Well treated on his form of a year ago but plenty to prove based on his three starts.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
COOLEENYMORE bolted up by 17 lengths over fences here earlier in the month and she switches back to this sphere, which could prove a shrewd move. Robert Walford's eight-year-old is in great heart and looks the way to go, with her main danger possibly Just In A Bit after his third at Wetherby. Ithaka makes some appeal after outrunning his odds to hit the frame at Taunton, and handicap debutant Kick Up A Storm is another to consider.
It's hard to resist the allure of COOLEENYMORE, who bolted up over fences here recently and she is able to compete off the same mark back hurdling. My Girl Katie has slipped to a dangerous mark and a reproduction of her form from last spring would bring her squarely into the argument. Handicap debutant Kick Up A Storm, Moonlight Artist and Rebel Intentions are others with a chance.
The suggestion is KICK UP A STORM for whom the return to a greater stamina test can see this gelding to good effect on handicap debut.

Goes handicapping over fences now and better showing certainly not ruled out. Tongue strap on first time. Open to improvement now chasing and interesting from a workable mark; tongue-tie goes on.. |

2nd (1) (10/1 -400%) Dunstall Rambler |
10/1(-400%) | (1) Dunstall Rambler 10/1, Just modest form at best over hurdles but set to improve on that, on debut over fences, when falling at last at Huntingdon (16.5f) 25 days ago. 4 lb higher now but likely has more to offer in this sphere. Fell at the last when upsides the leader latest; back up 4lb; unexposed and interesting.. |

10/1(-67%) | (5) Hooky Street 10/1, Stepped up on low-key comeback run over hurdles when fifth of 8 in handicap at Hereford (16f, soft) on debut over fences 10 days ago. This longer trip should suit and enters calculations. Blinkers on first time. Weakened out of it on his recent chase debut at Hereford (2m, soft); blinkers go on.. |

5th (7) (9/1 +73%) He'llstopatthetop |
9/1(+73%) | (7) He'llstopatthetop 9/1, Maiden pointer who hasn't figured in 3 starts over timber and was a similar story on debut over fences at Taunton in December. Irish point runner up who is hard to make a strong case for based on his form under rules.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (12/1 -71%) Man Of Light |
12/1(-71%) | (4) Man Of Light 12/1, Modest winner at 17f over hurdles but suffered a heavy fall (5 out) on debut in this sphere at Taunton last month. This run should reveal more. Needed his hurdles run in January; needs confidence restoring after a heavy chase fall.. |

7th (13) (11/1 +45%) Etincelle Artiste |
11/1(+45%) | (13) Etincelle Artiste 11/1, Runner-up sole start in points but just poor form under Rules and work to do from 3 lb out of the handicap. Pulled up at Taunton (2m2f, good) latest; not easy to fancy from 3lb wrong. |

9th (9) (10/1 +0%) Grand Escaparde |
10/1(+0%) | (9) Grand Escaparde 10/1, Yet to trouble the judge in a bumper or a trio of outings over hurdles and remains to be seen if addition of cheekpieces make an impact on chasing bow. Poor form in a bumper and three hurdles at up to 2m5f; in good hands but need to see more.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (20/1 +60%) Mr Sociable |
20/1(+60%) | (12) Mr Sociable 20/1, Well held in 3 outings back from a long absence last winter and no encouragement this term, including on chase debut at Wincanton last time. 2 lb out of the handicap. Has shown little since being third in a maiden hurdle in 2021; pulled up on chase debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (12/1 -33%) Lustleigh |
12/1(-33%) | (8) Lustleigh 12/1, Showed more than first time up over fences when second in a handicap at Ludlow (16f) in February but failed to build on that at Taunton last time and his overall profile is a little off-putting. Below par latest but if you can forgive that he could be competitive now 2lb lower.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
DUNSTALL RAMBLER still held every chance when falling at the last on his chasing debut at Huntingdon and he may have been a tad unfortunate to go up 4lb for that display. However, Tom George's charge could have plenty of improvement in him so he can make amends. Hidalgo Des Bordes showed a lot more ability on his most recent effort over hurdles at Plumpton and it will be interesting to see how he fares in a first-time tongue-tie on his chase/handicap bow. Samtara is another to watch out for.
DUNSTALL RAMBLER may well have made a winning chase debut but for a late fall at Huntingdon last month and is taken to gain compensation here. Hooky Street could provide the chief threat of those with form over the larger obstacles, whilst Hidalgo des Bordes has experience in points and is worth checking in the market on his first start in this sphere.
Compensation awaits for DUNSTALL RAMBLER (nap), who was challenging for the lead when coming down on a the last on chase debut.

1st (5) (2/5 +40%) Kingston Pride |
2/5(+40%) | (5) Kingston Pride 2/5, €200,000 buy, successful sole start in Irish points in April 2023 (decent form). Unable to land the odds but made a highly promising start when runner-up in valuable bumper at Lingfield (AW) in January. Taking sort and looks a good prospect. The one to beat with yard going much better now. Probably unsuited by the AW track on bumper debut and yet that form still reads well. |

2nd (1) (4/1 +33%) Wicked Thoughts |
4/1(+33%) | (1) Wicked Thoughts 4/1, Wide-margin winner sole outing in points and made it second time lucky in bumpers 11 weeks ago at Musselburgh, albeit very fortunate to do so. More needed under a penalty. Booked for second at Musselburgh until the leader broke down on the run in; penalised. |

3rd (7) (16/1 +36%) Murphy's Milan |
16/1(+36%) | (7) Murphy's Milan 16/1, Milan gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler Thecornerhouse. Very stoutly bred and unlikely to be seen to best effect in bumpers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (17/2 +79%) La Higuera |
17/2(+79%) | (6) La Higuera 17/2, €90,000 3-y-o, half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/smart chaser Robin des Foret (winner up to 25f, by Robin des Pres) and fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Port Melon (winner up to 3m, by Presenting), stays 3½m. Placed on 2 of 3 starts in Irish points. Signs of ability in three Irish points but kicks off under rules in a useful bumper. |

5th (8) (22/1 -10%) Not So Woolly |
22/1(-10%) | (8) Not So Woolly 22/1, £80,000 3-y-o, Kayf Tara gelding. Dam 3m chase winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3m) Finney. Plenty of stamina in his pedigree. £80,000 3yo; second foal; dam point/3m chase winner related to further winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (33/1 +0%) Grenardier |
33/1(+0%) | (2) Grenardier 33/1, Jack Hobbs gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler Samtara, stays 3¼m. Dam unraced sister to fairly useful hurdler/fair chaser (stayed 3¼m) Georgian King. Sixth foal; half-brother to 2m3f hurdle winner Samtara; dam unraced. |

7th (3) (80/1 +47%) Henry Pick |
80/1(+47%) | (3) Henry Pick 80/1, 66/1, little show in Taunton bumper on debut 3 weeks ago. 66-1 and always in rear on soft ground at Taunton last month. |

8th (12) (50/1 +24%) Diamond Dusty |
50/1(+24%) | (12) Diamond Dusty 50/1, Jukebox Jury filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful chaser Stones And Roses, stays 29f, and bumper winner/fairly useful 2¾m chase winner Golazo. Related to winners but the stable is 0-9 in bumpers recent seasons. |

After beating a subsequent Listed winner in an Irish point-to-point, KINGSTON PRIDE changed hands for 200,000 euros but had to settle for second when sent off at odds-on for a bumper at Lingfield's Winter Million fixture. That form was given a massive boost when the winner went close in a Grade 2 at Aintree last weekend, and a race such as this should be within range for Nicky Henderson's five-year-old. Musselburgh scorer Wicked Thoughts has to give him 7lb, so Kap Ouest might be a bigger threat after his third at Chepstow back in October.
Point winner KINGSTON PRIDE made a bright start at Lingfield in January and looks a good prospect for Nicky Henderson, who is back among the winners. He sets the bar pretty high and could be hard to beat with improvement in the offing. Kap Ouest seems sure to win races, while Doctor Midas is an interesting newcomer for the same yard as the selection. The penalised Wicked Thoughts has work to do after his fortuitous Musselburgh victory.
There's no temptation to see past KINGSTON PRIDE who has a tall reputation. His second to Tripoli Flyer looks good now.

1st (2) (10/11 -36%) Hearts Corner |
10/11(-36%) | (2) Hearts Corner 10/11, Libertarian gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser Lake Field. Dam maiden hurdler. Multiple point winner, including last time (Mar 24). Should take all the beating. Had a few of these behind when winning his latest point at odds-on; the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (5/1 -50%) Harbour Queen |
5/1(-50%) | (7) Harbour Queen 5/1, Not much to go on with Rules form but she's a point winner who ran with credit in that sphere last time, so she's not one to rule out in a weak race. Has 5l to find with Hearts Corner on a recent point clash and the winner did it easily. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 +60%) Minella Jab |
4/1(+60%) | (4) Minella Jab 4/1, Multiple point winner who was below form last time and didn't offer a great deal on his only Rules outing last season. Capable at the right level in his points but hasn't run well in his last two. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (7/1 +0%) Funky Sensation |
7/1(+0%) | (1) Funky Sensation 7/1, Rules record is rather uninspiring but latest fourth at Wincanton isn't a bad effort in the context of this race. Can't be written off. Beaten 12l in this last year; well held by Hearts Corner on their recent point clash. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (25/1 -56%) Stadmallen |
25/1(-56%) | (5) Stadmallen 25/1, Winning pointer (unplaced last time) but form he showed under Rules over 2 years ago doesn't give him much chance. Consistent enough but was behind some of these last time at Kilworthy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (22/1 -57%) Manofmanywords |
22/1(-57%) | (3) Manofmanywords 22/1, Just a modest hurdler for Jeremy Scott and, while he's scored in points since last seen under Rules over 2 years ago, he wasn't at his best last time. Modest rules form when with Jeremy Scott and his recent pointing exploits are uninspiring. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (22/1 +12%) Grenadine Save |
22/1(+12%) | (6) Grenadine Save 22/1, First run since leaving Richard Hobson when 66/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, pulled up in hunter chase at Leicester (20.1f, heavy) on debut over fences 52 days ago. Only fourth in a point since and others make more appeal. In better form this time last year than now and held by two of these on latest point run. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
HEARTS CORNER has been progressing well between the flags and handed out a five-length beating to Harbour Queen at Kilworthy, with Grenadine Save fourth and Stadmallen disappointing back in fifth. The seven-year-old would appear to have quite a decent future and can confirm that superiority now racing under Rules. Funky Sensation was pulled up in that point-to-point so Manofmanywords looks the pick of Helen Bament's pair, although both need to raise their games to get anywhere near the selection.
HEARTS CORNER has enjoyed plenty of success in points, including last time, so there's plenty to like about his chances in a weak race. Harbour Queen has also been in form between the flags, so she may emerge as a threat, while Funky Sensation can't be ruled out.
This looks a good opportunity for HEARTS CORNER who beat Harbour Queen and others in here last time at Kilworthy.
Ths is the racecard key.
