The Poacher Daly |
(5) (50/1 -257%)50/1(-257%) | (5) The Poacher Daly 50/1, Eighth of 9 in handicap at Navan (5f, good to soft, 16/1) 44 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Difficult ask. Cheekpieces; first start for new yard; good jockey booking but others are better treated. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (7) (7/2 +30%) Never Shout Never |
7/2(+30%) | (7) Never Shout Never 7/2, One win from 22 Flat runs. Eighteen runs since last win in 2023. 4/1, good ½-length second of 14 to Sporting Hero in handicap at this course (6f) 7 days ago. Built up a good lead from the front latest but the outside draw makes life tough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (7/2 +13%) Sporting Hero |
7/2(+13%) | (6) Sporting Hero 7/2, Won 14-runner handicap at this course (6f, 9/2) 7 days ago by ½ length from Never Shout Never, comfortably. Enters calculations. Probably better over slightly further and 7lb higher now but is in rude health. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (22/1 -175%) Mint Man |
22/1(-175%) | (9) Mint Man 22/1, Fairly useful maiden. 7/2, 6¾ lengths sixth of 8 to Court Phoenix in maiden at this C&D 28 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Attitude has not impressed, including when well beaten behind Court Phoenix in C&D maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/1 -25%) Inishmot Prince |
10/1(-25%) | (2) Inishmot Prince 10/1, 6-time C&D winner. Latest win at Navan in September. 20/1, sixth of 8 in handicap at this course (6f) 9 days ago. Potentially on a handy mark. Won this race last year; good draw & entitled to go well after tough assignment last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (11/2 +21%) Court Phoenix |
11/2(+21%) | (3) Court Phoenix 11/2, Lightly-raced winner. 1 win from 3 runs this year. Career best when winning 8-runner maiden (11/1) at this C&D 28 days ago, all out. Makes handicap debut. Opening mark is high enough and an outside draw won't help his usual positive tactics. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (17/2 +6%) Dream Today |
17/2(+6%) | (4) Dream Today 17/2, 4-time course winner. Fifth of 8 in handicap at this course (6f, 20/1) 9 days ago. Winner of 10 races (6f-7f); handicapped to run well but the trip is a concern (0-10). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (7/2 +46%) Make Clear |
7/2(+46%) | (8) Make Clear 7/2, 4 wins from 9 runs this year. Career best when winning 12-runner handicap (7/1) at this C&D 23 days ago, very much having run of race. Blinkers on 1st time. Had Sporting Hero back in third for latest success when making every post a winning one. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (14/1 -27%) Hero Of The Hour |
14/1(-27%) | (10) Hero Of The Hour 14/1, 4-time course winner. 3 wins from 13 runs this year. Latest win here in October. 17/2, respectable seventh of 14 in handicap at this course (6f) 21 days ago. Used up energy to get prominent from outside draw last time but gifted ideal draw here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (28/1 +15%) Revenite |
28/1(+15%) | (11) Revenite 28/1, 25/1 and hooded for 1st time, bit below form 4 lengths sixth of 14 to Sporting Hero in handicap at this course (6f) 7 days ago. Promising yard debut but well beaten in 3 subsequent starts & this is sharp enough for him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (22/1 -175%) Samrogue |
22/1(-175%) | (1) Samrogue 22/1, 4-time C&D winner. Latest win at Cork in July. 4¾ lengths eleventh of 13 to Ostraka in Mercury Stakes (100/1) at this C&D 42 days ago. Uphill task. Safely held in C&D Group 3 latest; back into calmer waters but tough ask off current mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MAKE CLEAR has shown great pace to win four times over 5f this year including here last month when Sporting Hero was just over a length back in third and cheekpieces are now replaced by blinkers. Sporting Hero scored twice over 6f on either side of that aforementioned third placing including when beating Never Shout Never last Friday. Court Phoenix was prominent throughout when landing a maiden over C&D last month, while others to consider include Dream Today and Hero Of The Hour.
SPORTING HERO won in good style when making it 2 from 3 in the hands of this claimer here last week and remains of interest. Inishmot Prince is potentially on a good mark so is next best ahead of Court Phoenix, who showed good speed to win his maiden.
Course specialist INISHMOT PRINCE won this race last year and will take all the beating again under the talented James Ryan

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (7/1 +56%) Palmezzano |
7/1(+56%) | (7) Palmezzano 7/1, Once-raced gelding. 40/1, sixteenth of 27 in maiden at the Curragh (8f, good to soft) on debut 33 days ago. 40s when down field for 1m Curragh maiden; switch to AW needs to spark major improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (14/1 -155%) Glinka |
14/1(-155%) | (4) Glinka 14/1, Foaled April 28. Australia colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 5f winner Level Up and 2-y-o 6f winner Mama Lulu. Dam 7f winner. Highly respected on debut, particularly if the betting vibes are strong. Australia colt; half-brother to 4 winners at range of trips; tough ask; yard can ready one. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (33/1 +34%) Final Secret |
33/1(+34%) | (10) Final Secret 33/1, Once-raced filly. 150/1, seventh of 14 in maiden at this C&D on debut 14 days ago, missing break. 150s for C&D debut but wasn't disgraced; much more needed here, however. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (125/1 -279%) Haqawi |
125/1(-279%) | (11) Haqawi 125/1, 40/1, ninth of 13 in novice (40/1) at Kempton (8f) on debut 58 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Richard Hughes. Low-key debut at Kempton 58 days ago and moved on since; stamina on dam's side. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

50/1(-25%) | (8) Ribee 50/1, Foaled April 23. Ribchester gelding. Half-brother to 9f-11f winner Signalman. Son of Ribchester; half-brother to 1m1f-1m3f winner Signalman; gelded and may need this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (80/1 -100%) Beaune |
80/1(-100%) | (3) Beaune 80/1, Foaled May 20. €3,000 2-y-o, Blue Point colt. Wears hood on debut. Blue Point colt; 3,000euros 2yo; hood for debut probably not a good sign. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
INNS OF FEAR was putting in his best work at the finish when keeping on into third behind Majestic Wave on debut in a 19-runner 6f Navan maiden. The Mark Fahey-trained colt has scope for improvement as he was a bit tardy from stalls and met some trouble in running, and he should be suited by this step up in distance. Ardagh Red is an obvious threat following a promising debut second to Queen Fury over 7f here last month and is another that should enjoy this longer trip. Mariner Boy wasn't disgraced when staying on into mid-division on debut over C&D last month and may prove the pick of Joseph O'Brien's three runners.
ARDAGH RED gets the nod on the back of his encouraging debut second over 7f here 16 days ago, although strong market support for well-bred Joseph O'Brien newcomer Glinka would put a slightly different slant on things. His stablemate Mariner Boy should have more to offer on the back of his debut over C&D 4 weeks ago and completes the shortlist.
There was plenty to like about ARDAGH RED's debut when runner-up to a rival with plenty more experience and he should come on for that

1st (7) (16/1 +52%) Catch The Paddy |
16/1(+52%) | (7) Catch The Paddy 16/1, Useful 6/7f winner at his best but completely lost his form on turf in recent months, last of 16 in handicap at York (7.9f, soft) 56 days ago, very slowly away. First run for yard after leaving Kevin Ryan and he has it to prove. Badly out of form on turf when last seen and sold for just 3,500gns. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (8/1 -78%) Exquisite Acclaim |
8/1(-78%) | (4) Exquisite Acclaim 8/1, 4-time course winner. 3 wins from 10 runs this year. 16/1, seventh of 9 in handicap at Listowel (8f, good to soft) 73 days ago. Yard in good form. 4-time course winner inc' 2 C&D wins; couldn't dominate latest; 3lb above March C&D win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (5/1 +17%) No More Porter |
5/1(+17%) | (6) No More Porter 5/1, Latest win at the Curragh in September. 10/1, respectable sixth of 10 in minor event at this course (7f) 14 days ago, keeping on final 100 yds. Trainer going well and he holds each-way claims. All 3 wins on turf at the Curragh and signs his mark is high enough on AW recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/4 +42%) Hightimeyouwon |
7/4(+42%) | (3) Hightimeyouwon 7/4, Course winner. Creditable second of 10 in minor event at this course (7f, 11/4) 14 days ago, never nearer. High on the shortlist returned to 1m. Dual course winner at 7f; in cracking form after 2 narrow defeats; can gain compensation. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (9/2 +18%) Walhaan |
9/2(+18%) | (2) Walhaan 9/2, 3 wins from 11 runs this year. Creditable fourth of 10 in handicap (10/1) at this C&D 28 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Return to further may suit ideally but he's not discounted in a competitive affair. All 3 course wins over further; only beaten 2l over C&D latest, 1.5l behind Hightimeyouwon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (20/1 -100%) Benavente |
20/1(-100%) | (5) Benavente 20/1, C&D winner. Eighth of 10 in minor event at this course (7f, 11/1) 14 days ago, probably in need of the run after 4 months off. Better showing anticipated. Dual course winner and in good form in valuable h'caps in Britain last winter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (10/3 +17%) Blues Emperor |
10/3(+17%) | (1) Blues Emperor 10/3, Latest win over C&D in October. Seventh of 10 in handicap (11/4) at this C&D 28 days ago, no extra final 1f. Cheekpieces back on. C&D winner 2 starts ago but weakened quickly in recent follow-up bid; needs career-best. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
HIGHTIMEYOUWON gained a seventh career win over 7f here earlier this year and the consistent gelding has been knocking on the door here again in recent months. The selection had Walhaan, No More Porter and Blues Emperor all behind when second to Blue Soul and again filled the runner-up spot behind Whispersinthewind last time. Blues Emperor didn't get away from stalls as well as usual in that aforementioned C&D race and is a very solid mile handicapper, while Walhaan has won three times here over an extended 1m2f and may find this trip a bit sharp. Exquisite Acclaim won twice over C&D earlier this year and again scored on his penultimate start at Gowran.
HIGHTIMEYOUWON comes here on the back of solid runners-up efforts on each of his last 2 starts around here and looks to hold solid claims back up at 1m. No More Porter and Walhaan may emerge as the chief dangers.
HIGHTIMEYOUWON is preferred after a couple of narrow defeats here and he can gain compensation in this small field

4/1(-14%) | (5) Morning Approach 4/1, C&D winner. Twelve runs since last win in 2023. Shaped well when fourth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (13/2) 9 days ago, faring best of those held up. Shortlist material. Dual course winner; eyecatching runs in last 2 starts and promising claimer takes over. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (14) (16/1 +36%) Esticky End |
16/1(+36%) | (14) Esticky End 16/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. Eleventh of 14 in handicap hurdle at Gowran (16f, good to soft, 16/1) 63 days ago. Others more persuasive. Losing run since May 2022; beaten 4l here in Sept' and well held over timber since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

16/1(+36%) | (12) Master Garvey 16/1, One win from 28 Flat runs. Ninth of 14 in handicap (28/1) at this C&D 9 days ago. Sole win came over 7f on heavy but no signs of a revival over this C&D in his last 2 runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (13) (15/2 +25%) Adare Beauty |
15/2(+25%) | (13) Adare Beauty 15/2, 5/1, bit below form fifth of 14 in handicap at this C&D, finding less than looked likely. Off 8 months. Blinkers on 1st time, tongue strap back on. 0-9; beaten 1l here in March but might need this; blinkers on for return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

50/1(-257%) | (4) Zahee 50/1, Unreliable type. 3-time C&D winner. Below form seventh of 14 in claimer at this C&D (28/1) 37 days ago. 3-time C&D winner but out of form of late including C&D claimer latest; enough to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (12/1 +25%) Suityourselfboss |
12/1(+25%) | (10) Suityourselfboss 12/1, C&D winner. Last of 11 in handicap at this course (10.7f, 25/1) 14 days ago. Back down in trip. Cheekpieces back on. Others more persuasive. Sole win came over C&D; didn't beat a rival on recent return; drop back in trip will help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (11/1 -10%) Endless Pursuit |
11/1(-10%) | (7) Endless Pursuit 11/1, 16/1, tenth of 14 in handicap at this course (10.7f) 56 days ago, finding little. Down in trip, which promises to suit. Best run came in 1m4f turf maiden in July but hasn't built on that since; 1m may not help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (3) (11/2 +54%) Pillar Of Hope |
11/2(+54%) | (3) Pillar Of Hope 11/2, First run since leaving H. D. McGuigan when creditable fifth of 14 in handicap at Punchestown (8.1f, good, 12/1) 80 days ago, not ideally placed. First run for yard after leaving C. Moore. AW winner but has looked regressive recently and best form over further; new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (11) (9/2 +0%) Streetscape |
9/2(+0%) | (11) Streetscape 9/2, 10/3, respectable fourth of 14 in handicap at this course (10.7f) 30 days ago. Down in trip. Looks competitive on form with that first run for 11 months under his belt. 0-15; placed over further here last winter; fair return but 1m probably sharp these days. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MORNING APPROACH has gained two of her three career wins at this venue, including over a mile last year, and has edged back down to a competitive mark. The selection was placed behind Tribal Moon and again finished well over a mile behind Cousin Shay last week. Streetscape made a pleasing return after a lengthy absence here last month, while Adare Beauty is another to consider in first-time blinkers. Pillar Of Hope is bidding to end a losing run stretching back well over a year but has given encouragement on his latest two starts and has dropped down to an attractive rating. Eastern Wind has gained all four wins on turf and has shown little on this surface in the past.
STREETSCAPE has yet to win a race but he shaped nicely on his return from 11 months when fourth from his career-low mark over 10f a month ago and likely to step forward from that, he could be the answer. Morning Approach and Adare Beauty are a couple of potential threats.
MORNING APPROACH has run some eyecatching races over C&D in recent times and a promising claimer taking off 5lb may make the difference

15/2(-7%) | (4) Nedita 15/2, Fair form on 2 of his 3 starts in maidens last winter but not kicked on in handful of starts since, ninth of 13 in a C&D claimer 23 days ago. Needs to get back on track with the hood now discarded but lines up here with his yard amongst the winners. 0-7; below form in C&D claimers in recent times; mark looks fair at best. |

2nd (13) (22/1 -83%) Royal Tribute |
22/1(-83%) | (13) Royal Tribute 22/1, Course winner. Seventeen runs since last win in 2022. 18/1, eleventh of 14 in handicap at this C&D 9 days ago, always behind. Proving more miss than hit in recent months. No wins since landing 7f claimer in 2022; 2nd on turf in summer; lost his way since. |

3rd (5) (4/1 +11%) Deed Pole |
4/1(+11%) | (5) Deed Pole 4/1, One win from 21 Flat runs. 7/2, respectable sixth of 11 in handicap at this C&D 35 days ago, never nearer. Needs to show he can build on that with first-time cheekpieces enlisted but definite claims if doing so. Sole win came over 1m on Polytrack; not at that level in 5 runs for this yard; cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (4/1 +43%) Pink Oxalis |
4/1(+43%) | (3) Pink Oxalis 4/1, Lightly-raced maiden who shaped better than bare result when eleventh of 16 in handicap (14/1) at Galway (7f, heavy) 39 days ago, short of room from early in the straight. No great surprise to see her do better for new yard who have their string in good order. Career-best when beaten 2l on h'cap debut; not as good twice since; new trip may suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (50/1 -52%) Saxon Kingdom |
50/1(-52%) | (14) Saxon Kingdom 50/1, 50/1, thirteenth of 14 in handicap at this course (7f) 16 days ago, weakening having led until 2f out. Major upturn needed for a recent yard switch ahead of this. 0-13 and hasn't beaten many home in recent starts; another new yard and best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (33/1 +0%) Roderick |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Roderick 33/1, Fifteen runs since last win in 2023. First run since leaving C. Moore when twelfth of 14 in handicap at this C&D (33/1) 9 days ago. 4-time winner but only win since came in claimer in 2021; 0-12 on AW; low-key yard debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (17/2 -31%) Hieloray |
17/2(-31%) | (2) Hieloray 17/2, Lightly-raced maiden. 20/1, good sixth of 14 in handicap at this course (7f) 16 days ago, having to pick way through and never better than midfield. This should reveal more back up in trip. 2nd in Bath maiden in 2023; shaped like return to form was imminent latest; 1m should suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (13/2 +35%) Cu Chulainn |
13/2(+35%) | (6) Cu Chulainn 13/2, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. 22/1, tenth of 12 in handicap at Limerick (8f, good) in June, headed over 1f out and weakening. Subsequent break needs to have had positive effect ahead of this. Shown very little in five runs for this yard and best form is over further; off 167 days. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (15/2 -25%) Hope And Innocence |
15/2(-25%) | (12) Hope And Innocence 15/2, Remains a maiden after 24 Flat runs. 9/1, ninth of 14 in handicap at this course (7f) 16 days ago. Tongue strap now applied and previous efforts over this trip entitle her to respect here. 0-24 but placed in 2 of last 3 C&D efforts and now on a basement mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (20/1 +20%) Agia |
20/1(+20%) | (1) Agia 20/1, Lightly-raced maiden. First run since leaving G. M. Lyons/off 7 months when eleventh of 14 in handicap at this C&D (28/1) 16 days ago. This promises to reveal more. Promise in both starts in 2023 but well below form twice this year incl' yard/h'cap bow. |

13th (7) (12/1 -50%) Chou Chou |
12/1(-50%) | (7) Chou Chou 12/1, Respectable fifth of 16 in handicap (28/1) at Gowran (8.3f, heavy) 46 days ago, paying the price late on for a big move into contention. Makes polytrack debut and he's not one to write off for all he remains a maiden. 0-15; hinted at a return to form at Gowran; may want a bit further but not ruled out. |

CHOU CHOU showed promise on a number of occasions for Noel Meade earlier this year and last time only gave best in the closing stages on just his second start for current connections at Gowran. The selection tries this surface for the first time and gets the vote over Deed Pole, who won over this trip at Lingfield 12 months ago. He's shaped well on a couple of occasions over C&D since joining Cian Hughes this summer and is now fitted with cheekpieces. Hope And Innocence has been placed twice over a mile here this autumn, while Hieloray and Pink Oxalis are others to consider.
A wide-open contest with a chance taken on PINK OXALIS. She shaped much better than the bare result on her final start for Joseph Murphy in a big field at Galway 39 days ago and, lightly raced from a handicapping perspective, it would come as no surprise to see her go well on polytrack debut. Hope And Innocence, back at 1m, and Deed Pole are others to consider, whilst it's too soon to write off Nedita.
Probably the weaker division and HIELORAY might be the one to take advantage after an eyecatching run over 7f here last month

AIRD was placed in a Curragh maiden last year for Kevin Prendergast and switched to Henry de Bromhead this season when going close in a Down Royal handicap over this trip that has worked out very well since. Hopefully she will handle this surface and gets the vote over Bloom Vega and Lilita. Bloom Vega made a promising debut when second to the smart Chemistry at the Curragh this spring and was again placed behind the progressive Not Just Any Eagle over C&D last month. Lilita is probably best at around this trip and beat all bar Sidiza at Navan before again filling the runner-up spot over 1m4f here last time.
AIRD has acquitted herself well in handicap company the last twice and may be able to open her account here. Liltia and Bloom Vega are feared most.
BLOOM VEGA has some very strong maiden form and adapted well to the Polytrack when third over C&D on her latest start

BILLIE FRECHETTE hasn't run at today's course since her second career start last April, but has shown form since then. A half-sister to four winners and out of a half-sister to a Group 1 winner, her handicap form this summer has been reasonably encouraging, she likes this distance and while largely unproven on the all-weather, should handle the surface as she likes good ground. She has run satisfactorily over hurdles recently and should compete from her low enough rating. Scott Lang ran well over C&D last month and is again helped by his rider's 7lb claim, while Obama Army also has recent form but tries this distance for the first time.
This could go the way of SCOTT LANG who signalled he is ready to end a losing sequence when a good runner-up over C&D last time out and can race off just a 1 lb higher mark here. Obama Army is next on the list on the back of his good recent third here with Waystar, Chopsticks and Wishes And Dreams also worthy of consideration.
Pat Flynn's fine year can continue with recent eyecatcher JUST ANOTHER EAGLE, whose winning turn is long overdue

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SLIEVE BINNIAN is an experienced five-time winner who put in a career-best effort when scoring on his first attempt at this distance last month, so might progress further. He has been raised 8lb and has plenty of weight, but that recent form was boosted by the fourth-placed horse scoring subsequently. Tribal Star won a maiden over C&D last month and being well-bred, might also progress. By Sea The Stars and out of a Listed winner who has produced two black-type performers, he cost 550,000gns as a yearling and should compete from 1lb out of the handicap, under a 3lb claimer. Ceallach is another to consider.
SLIEVE BINNIAN enhanced his excellent record around here when a comfortable winner over C&D 5 weeks ago and remains of interest. Sole 3-y-o Tribal Star didn't need to improve to win his maiden over C&D recently and may emerge as the main threat on handicap bow.
Preference is for SLIEVE BINNIAN (nap), who won a C&D handicap emphatically when strong in the betting latest and will be hard to beat

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
