4/6(+51%) | (1) Scorchio 4/6, C&D winner in October. Creditable third of 11 in nursery at this course (6f, 9/2) 21 days ago. Has to be taken seriously. C&D winner was a good 3rd over 6f since; raised another 6lb but strongly considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (9/2 -50%) Mary Shoelaces |
9/2(-50%) | (4) Mary Shoelaces 9/2, Lightly-raced maiden. 33/1, 2½ lengths third of 10 to Scorchio in nursery at this C&D 33 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time. Merits consideration. Improved effort when 3rd to Scorchio last time; up 3lb and blinkers added, so a chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (50/1 -100%) Stopitnowjulia |
50/1(-100%) | (7) Stopitnowjulia 50/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Seventh of 11 in nursery (100/1) at this course (6f) 21 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. Soundly beaten over 6f last time but could do better back to this trip; 2lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

5/1(+23%) | (6) Milliethemollie 5/1, Eighth of 11 in nursery (20/1) at this course (6f) 21 days ago. Went closest when 2nd in a Naas nursery but below that level here last twice. |

9/1(-50%) | (2) Signor Ferrari 9/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Seventh of 8 in minor event (25/1) at this course (6f) 12 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Makes handicap debut. Billy Lee up. Best of three maiden runs was on turf debut; not as good twice on AW; cheekpieces a help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (18/1 +10%) Charles Atlas |
18/1(+10%) | (8) Charles Atlas 18/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Visored for 1st time, eighth of 9 in nursery (14/1) at Sligo (5.7f, good to soft). Off 112 days. Makes polytrack debut. Needs a couple of these to falter. Regressive on turf and is 4lb out of the handicap back from a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (33/1 -65%) Dabirsim Flyer |
33/1(-65%) | (3) Dabirsim Flyer 33/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 150/1, last of 13 in maiden at Cork (5f, soft) 64 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Makes handicap debut. Some promise on initial two runs but poor the last twice and questions to answer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MARY SHOELACES could reap the benefit of first-time blinkers. This daughter of U S Navy Flag showed promise in third on nursery debut over C&D last month. That form has been endorsed by the horses that sandwiched her in second and fourth. Scorchio is a big danger. Wesley Joyce partnered her when the duo were successful over C&D in October and Jack Davison's colt showed that she can be competitive off her new mark when a close third over 6f at this track earlier in the month. Progeny of Cotai Glory have a good record on all-weather surfaces, so Charles Atlas could show up well on Polytrack debut.
SCORCHIO has taken really well to this surface in recent weeks and looks good for another win. Mary Shoelaces ran well behind the selection over C&D on her latest start and is second choice ahead of Andrew Slattery handicap newcomer Tarsus.
MARY SHOELACES might be able to turn the tables on Scorchio from their C&D clash last month on 10lb better terms.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (33/1 -106%) Bruce Lightning |
33/1(-106%) | (9) Bruce Lightning 33/1, Lightly-raced gelding. Fourteenth of 15 in maiden at Navan (5.8f, heavy, 9/1) 42 days ago, folding. Up in trip. Makes polytrack debut. Hooded for 1st time. Disappointing last few runs; has ability but a lot to prove at present; hood added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (7/1 +13%) Gesture |
7/1(+13%) | (7) Gesture 7/1, Thrice-raced colt. 16/1, eighth of 10 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, heavy) 66 days ago, ridden out wide over 2f out and soon beaten. Likely type to bounce back. Only 1l behind at Naas on second start and can run well if repeating that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (16/1 +52%) Exceeding |
16/1(+52%) | (4) Exceeding 16/1, Twice-raced gelding. Twelfth of 14 in maiden at this C&D (8/1) 7 days ago, missing break and always behind. Handicaps likely to be more his bag. Lost all chance last time when starting very slowly; can't afford to repeat that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (7/2 +71%) Rebelsontherun |
7/2(+71%) | (1) Rebelsontherun 7/2, Twice-raced gelding. 50/1 and blinkered for 1st time, improved on debut form when fifth of 11 in maiden at the Curragh (6f, soft) 67 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. This rates more suitable and booking of Keane rates a plus. Improved effort last time; needs more on AW debut but that could be forthcoming. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (66/1 -100%) Alex Belardo |
66/1(-100%) | (6) Alex Belardo 66/1, Foaled April 20. €19,000 yearling, Belardo colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 7f-1m winner Path of Silver and 9f/1¼m winner Jazzi'o. Dam 8.6f-1¼m winner. A 19,000euros yearling is by a solid sire and worth a market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (12/1 -85%) Miss Alaska |
12/1(-85%) | (8) Miss Alaska 12/1, Kodiac filly who left debut form well behind (on back of 3 months off) when fourth of 10 in maiden at this course (6f, 33/1) 28 days ago, fading final 1f. Claims of getting involved with a repeat. Much-improved over 6f here four weeks ago; should go closer today with improvement likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (11/2 -237%) Ciao For Now |
11/2(-237%) | (12) Ciao For Now 11/2, Twice-raced filly. 6/4, fifth of 8 in maiden at Navan (5.8f, good to soft) 88 days ago, keeping on when short of room late on. Step back up in trip promises to suit and she's one to consider. Two solid runs; back from a small break and these conditions look ideal; a major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (6/4 +45%) Cuban Confusion |
6/4(+45%) | (2) Cuban Confusion 6/4, Lightly-raced colt. Very good second of 14 in maiden (14/1) at this course (1m) 33 days ago, every chance approaching final 1f and not quicken. Solid claims with a repeat returned to 7f. Two fine runs here lately and coming back to 7f should suit; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (40/1 -60%) Twotwo And Two |
40/1(-60%) | (11) Twotwo And Two 40/1, Once-raced colt. 66/1, eighth of 14 in maiden at this C&D on debut 14 days ago, plugging on without posing a threat. This ought to reveal more. Promise in a C&D maiden two weeks ago; be involved with improvement likely from that run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (150/1 -50%) Solar Falcon |
150/1(-50%) | (5) Solar Falcon 150/1, Once-raced gelding. 125/1, thirteenth of 14 in maiden at this course (8f) on debut 19 days ago. Visored for 1st time. Beaten 18l on debut over 1m at this track on debut and enormous improvement is needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (3) (8/1 -45%) Indian Alliance |
8/1(-45%) | (3) Indian Alliance 8/1, Foaled February 16. €47,000 yearling, Sioux Nation colt. Half-brother to 6f-1m winner Save The King. Dam, ran once in France, out of useful 2-y-o 6f winner Ponte Vespucci. Wears tongue strap and he's a newcomer to note. A 47,000euros yearling is by an exciting young sire; one of two runners for yard. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
CIAO FOR NOW is one to take seriously on Polytrack debut. There was a lot to like about her second at Leopardstown during the summer and then she was beaten less than a length into fifth on slower ground in a sprint maiden the following month. Being by Havana Grey, she ought to take to this all-weather surface. Cuban Confusion has two solid placed efforts in October at Dundalk to call upon and should be right in contention. Joseph O'Brien's Sioux Nation newcomer Indian Alliance must be a given a check for market strength while Rebelsontherun is a potential improver on his first visit to Dundalk.
Having shown plenty to work on when second on debut at Leopardstown in August, CIAO FOR NOW ran to a similar level despite seemingly finding the drop in trip against her at Navan a month later. The type to do better stepping back up in trip, she gets the nod back from a break. Cuban Confusion and Gesture head up the dangers, whilst Indian Alliance is a newcomer to note.
Cuban Confusion sets the standard but might struggle to give 7lb to MISS ALASKA, who was fourth over 6f here last time.

1st (4) (4/1 -14%) Gobi Star |
4/1(-14%) | (4) Gobi Star 4/1, Capitalised on a falling mark in good style when winning 14-runner handicap (5/2) at this C&D 7 days ago, soon clear. Remains of plenty of interest despite a hefty rise. Won his first handicap when scooting in over C&D last week; much tougher off 12lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (6/1 -9%) Exquisite Acclaim |
6/1(-9%) | (1) Exquisite Acclaim 6/1, C&D winner in October. Ran well under a penalty when third of 14 in handicap at this course (8f, 5/2) 4 weeks ago. Visor back on. Can give another good account. Won over C&D last month and a solid run over 1m since; same mark again so be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (12/1 +0%) Secret Magician |
12/1(+0%) | (6) Secret Magician 12/1, Shaped as if still in good form when fifth of 14 in handicap (15/2) at this course (6f) 12 days ago. Worth another chance on this surface. Two turf wins over 6f and a solid AW debut last time; stays this trip and a player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (10/1 +9%) Rockbury Lad |
10/1(+9%) | (9) Rockbury Lad 10/1, Course winner in September. 7/1, probably remained in form when sixth of 14 in handicap at this course (8f) 4 weeks ago, not clear run under 2f out. Got off the mark over 1m but couldn't cope with higher marks last twice and needs more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (12/1 -140%) Little Keilee |
12/1(-140%) | (11) Little Keilee 12/1, 10/3, good second of 14 in handicap at this C&D 2 weeks ago, just failing. Running consistently well so fancied to be in the mix. Consistent type was just denied over C&D last time; up 3lb but likely to run well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) (11/1 +8%) Mere Accountant |
11/1(+8%) | (12) Mere Accountant 11/1, C&D winner. Ran one of better races when sixth of 14 in handicap (6/1) at this course (8f) 3 weeks ago. Task is now to build on that effort. Beaten 2l over 1m here last time; this trip should suit better and is down 2lb, so chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (11/1 +0%) Half Nutz |
11/1(+0%) | (5) Half Nutz 11/1, Respectable fourth of 14 in handicap at this course (6f, 15/2) 12 days ago, never nearer. Hard to win with so remains opposable. Six-time turf winner often starts slowly but ran a belter over 6f here last time; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (3/1 +50%) Super Over |
3/1(+50%) | (3) Super Over 3/1, C&D winner. 6/1, confirmed return to form when third of 14 in handicap at this course (8f) 26 days ago. Has a good record here so expected to be bang there. Three AW wins over 7f-8f; solid runs here last twice and should be involved again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (5/1 +0%) Not Just Yet |
5/1(+0%) | (13) Not Just Yet 5/1, 15/2, bounced back to best when second of 14 in handicap at this course (8f) 3 weeks ago. Every chance of going one better reunited with Colin Keane. Close 2nd over 1m three weeks ago from stall 17; better drawn today and every chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (20/1 -25%) Furnace Creek |
20/1(-25%) | (2) Furnace Creek 20/1, 18/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, took a step back in the right direction when eighth of 14 in handicap at this course (6f) 12 days ago. Can make presence felt. Dual turf winner wasn't beaten far in first-time cheekpieces here last time; needs more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (150/1 -127%) Venetian |
150/1(-127%) | (8) Venetian 150/1, Offered little on first outing since leaving Charlie Johnston when tenth of 13 in claimer (40/1) at this course (8f) 2 weeks ago. Two 1m wins in UK incl' AW but became regressive; poor on debut for this yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (14) (50/1 -100%) Arthur's Victory |
50/1(-100%) | (14) Arthur's Victory 50/1, Seventh of 19 in handicap at the Curragh (8f, good to soft, 40/1) back in August. Will need to hit the ground running. Regressive on turf for this yard but could do better returned to this surface. |

40/1(-100%) | (10) Angel Above 40/1, C&D winner. Twelfth of 15 in handicap (50/1) at Leopardstown (7.2f, good). Was struggling for form when last seen in August so best watched. Winner of a C&D maiden; below form on turf over summer but back on AW should suit. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A very tight handicap with just 8lb between the top and bottom weights. SUPER OVER has been coming down the weights and put in a good effort in third off a mark of 74 in a slightly better class of race over 1m at this track at the start of the month. He has winning form over C&D. Not Just Yet's sole victory came over 7f at Listowel in June and he stayed on for second over 1m at this track earlier this month, so looks a major contender for Noel Meade and Colin Keane. Little Keilee is in a consistent vein of form and just failed by a short head over C&D a fortnight ago. She will have plenty of supporters as will Gobi Star who travelled strongly before winning in the basement grade last week. The handicapper didn't miss that performance, though, as 12lb has been dished out. Half Nutz, Secret Magician and Exquisite Acclaim are far from out of contention.
GOBI STAR had stacks in hand when scoring over C&D last week and, despite a hefty rise back up the weights, Patrick Martin's 5-y-o is fancied to go in again at the expense of Super Over, who has a fine record at this venue and is another who arrives in form. Not Just Yet is reunited with Colin Keane and he can battle out minor honours with Little Keilee.
NOT JUST YET ran a belter from stall 17 over 1m last time and is better drawn today off the same mark.

15/2(+25%) | (7) Dream Today 15/2, C&D winner. Latest win at Laytown in September. 8/1, seventh of 11 in handicap at this C&D 26 days ago, doing too much too soon. Won a Laytown handicap over this trip in September but hasn't been as good twice since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (15/8 +25%) Dandyville |
15/8(+25%) | (2) Dandyville 15/8, C&D winner. Seven wins from 24 Flat runs. Latest win here in October. Creditable third of 11 in handicap at this C&D (6/4) 26 days ago. Respected. Cracking effort off this mark when 2nd over C&D last time; should give his running again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (4/1 +20%) Apache Outlaw |
4/1(+20%) | (6) Apache Outlaw 4/1, Good second of 11 in handicap at this C&D (20/1) 26 days ago. Handicapped to win if he can build on latest effort. Was 2nd over C&D last time and is off the same mark today so should run well. |

4th (3) (5/1 +29%) Hodd's Girl |
5/1(+29%) | (3) Hodd's Girl 5/1, 3-time C&D winner. Bit below form 2¾ lengths third of 12 to Many Tears in listed race at this course (8f, 18/1) 19 days ago. Back down in trip. Others make more appeal. Third in a 1m Listed race last time; has her chance but might need further nowadays. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (12/1 -243%) Mickey The Steel |
12/1(-243%) | (4) Mickey The Steel 12/1, C&D winner. Career best when winning 12-runner handicap at the Curragh (5f, heavy, 14/1) 24 days ago, sticking to task. Solid claims. Improved form on heavy ground when winning last twice but this is tougher back on AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (4/1 +20%) Big Gossey |
4/1(+20%) | (1) Big Gossey 4/1, C&D winner. 11/4, didn't need to be at best when winning 5-runner minor event at the Curragh (7f, heavy) 24 days ago, kept up to work. More required back in handicap company. Classy sort faces no easy task under top-weight here but sure to give a bold show. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (18/1 -50%) Tawaazon |
18/1(-50%) | (5) Tawaazon 18/1, 4-time course winner. 6 wins from 19 runs this year. Latest win at the Curragh in October. 8/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at this C&D 26 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Not dismissed. Below his best the last twice but did win a Curragh premier handicap off this mark in May. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
APACHE OUTLAW showed an aptitude for Polytrack on his first visit to Dundalk at the start of the month. The Churchill gelding kept on in second behind an all-the-way winner and had several of these rivals in behind. He remains on the same mark and should make a bold bid. The handicapper is easing his grip on Hodd's Girl and she is eminently capable of travelling into contention over this trip. Big Gossey has a rating that merits plenty of respect. He hasn't been a frequent visitor to Dundalk in recent years, but it isn't hard to see him enjoying this surface again. Mickey The Steel was well placed to win sprint handicaps at Bellewstown in September and the Curragh this month. He has a C&D victory in the locker and is respected while Dandyville is a very solid operator who knows where the winning post is.
APACHE OUTLAW got firmly back on track when second over C&D earlier in the month and he's potentially well treated, so he's narrowly preferred to MIckey The Steel, who scored at the Curragh in determined style last time. Dandyville also makes the shortlist.
Compared to his career-high mark of 100 as a 2yo, APACHE OUTLAW is still off a reasonable mark and could get back on the scoresheet.

150/1(-127%) | (11) Hague Convention 150/1, Twelfth of 14 in handicap at this course (10.7f, 150/1) 14 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Others preferred. Placed for Johnny Murtagh in 2017, very lightly raced since then, struggling this year. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ORANMORE has winning form over an extended 1m6f on the turf at Bellewstown and should get 2m on the Polytrack. Scott McCullagh's 3lb claim has him on a feasible mark. Dreams Fled Away kept on for third, in first-time blinkers, over 1m4f at this track and now tackles this trip for the first time. He has a decent chance under Niall McCullagh. Ciao Adios attracted plenty of support on her first run for Shauna Larkin before finishing fourth over 1m4f at this venue. It will be interesting to see if further support arrives over this trip. Landue is one tumbling down the weights that could appreciate this staying assignment.
DREAMS FLED AWAY finished to good effect when third at this course 12 days ago and the longer trip should suit, so he boasts strong claims provided the blinkers work again. Most of his rivals have something to prove but a case can be made for both Oranmore and Mosaaheb.
Blinkers elicited improvement from DREAMS FLED AWAY here last time. He can make the breakthrough if he sees out this longer trip

ELZAAMSAN kept on for third in a much higher grade over C&D in March which bodes well for another crack at 2m. He returned from a break of almost two months with a close fourth over 1m4f here this month and should come on from that outing. Molly Hall steps onto Polytrack for the first time, but certainly has no stamina issues having delivered over an extended 2m at Tramore in September. That run was on good ground, so she could put her best foot forward on this surface. Riyami made good headway to get up for second in the closing stages of a 1m4f handicap at this track last Friday, so there is sound reasoning behind the step up in trip. Swelltime competes off a very lowly mark and a better performance wouldn't be surprising.
RIYAMI has made a decent start for this yard switched to the AW and could be worth chancing up in trip. Curious Bride and Elzaamsan are feared most.
A strong-finishing second over 1m4f here last Friday RIYAMI may be able to go one better in this test of stamina

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The 99-rated TIME TO TELL was runner-up in two maidens before finishing third in Listed class at the Curragh which sets a high standard. She is related to a couple of multiple winners and her proven ability over 1m4f is a major strength in this race. She could appreciate this surface after racing on testing ground to date. Saturn is regally bred and can have a say up in trip after a trio of placed efforts over shorter distances. Gran Caballo, a son of American Pharoah, is nicely related and merits a market check on debut for Joseph O'Brien. Banana Three is up in trip after posting two runner-up berths here while War Correspondent, Nakassama and Apercu all have claims.
Having finished runner-up in her first 2 starts in maidens, TIME TO TELL took another step forward when third in listed company at the Curragh 24 days ago and she ought to prove tough to beat on that evidence back in calmer waters. The very well-bred Saturn may yet have more to offer up in trip and, along with newcomer Gran Caballo and Banana Three, heads up the dangers.
This should be a virtual formality for TIME TO TELL, best of her age group when third in a Listed race over this trip at the Curragh

SKY LEGEND has been runner-up on his last two starts over C&D and can get his turn. He wasn't beaten far in either contest and remains on a competitive mark. Sean Bowen couldn't use his claim in an apprentice race the last day, but now claims 5lb which is a bonus. Bright N Shine is the one horse arriving on the back of a victory. He took the honours by half a length over an extended 10 furlongs at this track earlier in the month and has placed form over this trip on turf, so has a more than reasonable chance. Caulaincourt could go better over this new trip in first-time blinkers while Hearts Are Trumps has been a money-spinner over hurdles and makes some appeal off a mark of 66 on his return to the Flat in first-time cheekpieces.
ZILEO didn't fare too badly back on AW last time and might be able to snap a losing run with Billy Lee back in the saddle. Sky Legend has been knocking on the door over C&D lately and is second choice. Last-time-out course scorer Bright N Shine and Hearts Are Trumps, who ran well over hurdles last time, are also on the shortlist.
Placed in six of his 11 AW races, SKY LEGEND(nap) has a good chance of opening his account after a pair of seconds at this venue

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
