13:45 Curragh Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Aidan O'Brien has a particularly strong group of juveniles this season and perhaps OFFICER can provide the Ballydoyle team with another success. The Dubawi colt is out of the Group 1 winner Hydrangea which makes him a brother to Wingspan, who won the Listed Hurry Harriet Stakes recently at Gowran. The first-time blinkered Thrice is another that makes plenty of appeal on pedigree, while Tribal Nation is also by Wootton Bassett and the 155,000gns yearling is out of a Group 3-winning daughter of Sepoy. Snapper Rocks won a barrier trial at Naas last month and is another to note.

The market should reveal plenty with no form to go on but Aidan O'Brien's OFFICER makes plenty of appeal on paper and is taken to go in at the first time of asking with Ryan Moore in the saddle. Stablemate Thrice is also bred to be useful and could emerge as the chief threat, although Storm Piece, Tribal Nation, Broadstone and Desmond Castle are other potentially interesting debutants to consider in this intriguing maiden.

The three with Group-race engagements are TRIBAL NATION, Officer and Thrice. Snapper Rocks won a barrier trial.

14:20 Curragh Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DESERT POWER has been placed on all three outings in sprint maidens this year and may get a winning turn. The Slade Power gelding beat all bar the speedy Sturlasson on debut at Navan and again finished well behind Mehmar (won again since) at the same venue last month with Yaxchilan three lengths back in fourth. Red Hugh O'Donnell had Pansy Poe and White Clover behind when runner-up to Emerald Harmony on his reappearance at Tipperary earlier this month and should be suited by the extra furlong. Pansy Poe has shaped well here on a couple of occasions and appeals most of the remainder.

This looks a decent opportunity for RED HUGH O'DONNELL to build on his promising Tipperary second a fortnight ago. Edward Lynam's Desert Power is second choice ahead of Joseph O'Brien's No Knee Never.

Sprint maidens for older horses are rarely straightforward. DESERT POWER has at least run well in two of his three starts.

14:55 Curragh Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Joseph O'Brien's SHODA should have a future in handicaps. She put in a promising debut effort when third in a maiden at Killarney and built on that when scoring at the Galway Festival. The way she forged on well to score by almost four lengths bodes well for her first handicap assignment. Her stablemate Perfect Portrait could enjoy this drop in class. She didn't show in a Group 3 at Fairyhouse last month, but has been given a break since. Aird is nicely weighted with Robyn Donaghue-Leahy taking 7lb off her back, while O'Brien's Belhaven and recent Dundalk winner Ameerat Jumaira are others to note.

Lightly-raced 3-y-o SHODA was a convincing winner of a maiden at Galway and can make light of an opening handicap mark in the low 80s with further improvement likely. Bay of Sanibel is second choice ahead of recent Naas scorer Apercu.

Joseph O'Brien runs three and it could pay to side with SHODA (nap), a Galway maiden winner who is the least exposed runner.

15:30 Curragh Group 2 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Aidan O'Brien has mentioned 7f for HENRI MATISSE on both occasions that he won over 6f at this track and the Group 2 Railway Stakes winner is taken to bring up his hat-trick. This is due to be the slowest ground he will encounter, but the progeny of Wootton Bassett are showing a real aptitude for soft ground. The 107-rated Hotazhell provides stiff opposition as he took a Group 3 over an extended 7f on his latest outing at Leopardstown. Prior to that, he shed his maiden status over C&D. O'Brien's Rock Of Cashel and Mehmas colt Scorthy Champ are winners that definitely add further spice to the mix.

A quartet to view positively with HENRI MATISSE just about the percentage call even under a penalty given he already has winning form at this level to his name gained in a 6f contest at this track. Hotazhell is second choice on form.

Railway Stakes winner HENRI MATISSE looks tailormade for 7f and can give Aidan O'Brien a record 17th win in this race

16:05 Curragh Group 2 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

It will be a huge shock if this doesn't go to Ballydoyle and BEDTIME STORY, who is unbeaten in three starts. The daughter of Frankel was a hugely impressive winner of the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot and readily defeated stablemate Exactly in a Group 3 at Leopardstown last month. She can take the next step up the Pattern ladder in her stride. The other O'Brien runner is Bubbling, who was a taking winner of a Galway maiden and holds Group 1 entries in the autumn.

Aidan O'Brien holds all the aces here and his most exciting Frankel filly BEDTIME STORY gets a confident vote to go 4-4. Stablemates Bubbling and Senna's Girl both look to have better days ahead of them too and can chase home the selection in that order.

This should be straightforward for the unbeaten Chesham Stakes winner BEDTIME STORY who beat Exactly comfortably at Leopardstown.

16:40 Curragh Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SACRED OATH might be able to get off the mark at the third attempt. The daughter of Lope De Vega was a promising third over C&D on debut and, having travelled strongly, it looked like 1m4f was too far when she filled the same position at Galway. Coming back in trip looks a wise move. Raydamann has been caught close home in his last two starts having been ridden prominently and is likely to contend again, while Ard Na Mara kept on steadily into fourth at Gowran Park and is open to improvement. Fighter, well held in third on his seasonal return, is blinkered as is stablemate Revelry, a well-bred newcomer who cost plenty as a yearling.

RAYDAMANN has displayed race-by-race progress in a handful of starts to date, worn down close home at Leopardstown (9f) 16 days ago. He gets the nod to go one place better, with Sacred Oath Ard Na Mara and Fighter others to consider. Bard of Avon is another likely improver now embarking on his 3-y-o campaign.

The suggestion is SACRED OATH who made a nice debut here before 1m4f on soft ground ultimately found her out at Galway.

17:10 Curragh Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TACHOS hasn't been out of the first three home in her four starts this year and has decent claims in an open contest. Dermot Weld's filly got the better of Puturhandstogether at Gowran Park in June and is better off at the weights. The daughter of Gleneagles did little wrong when finding one too good over this trip at Naas earlier in the month. Like the selection, Puturhandstogether has done well since entering handicap company and defeated some in-form rivals over C&D last month. He is open to more improvement and Down Royal winner Masoun is another three-year-old with scope for further progress.

ROTOLO took a big step back in the right direction when finding only a progressive rival (whom she conceded first run to) too strong at Leopardstown 3 weeks ago and that suggests she's ready to strike. Puturhandstogether and Masoun are a couple of potential threats.

It may be worth taking a chance with recent Leopardstown runner-up ROTOLO despite a doubt raised by her ungainly head carriage

Couple of respectable races for current team without getting the job done.

(6) Goldrush Kid 9/1, Unfortunately gelding who has improved with each start to date, third of 9 in maiden at Sligo (5.7f, good to soft, 6/1) on return to action in May. Possible he could do better again now handicapping.
Best form yet in her final maiden at Sligo (5.5f) and she wasn't well drawn that day.

(9) Run Forrest Run 11/1, Course winner. 15/2, below form tenth of 23 in handicap at Cork (6f, good to firm) 29 days ago. Hood back on and he's fallen to a handy mark if bouncing back.
Disappointing last time but he's a five-time winner and it was a good penultimate effort.

(4) Merisi Diamond 4/1, Course winner. 1 win from 3 runs this year. Below form eighth of 21 in handicap at this course (6f, heavy) in April. Rejoined former stable and drop back down in class rates a plus.
Could be vulnerable back from a break, especially as he loves the mud.

17:40 Curragh Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Handicap debutant GOLDRUSH KID met with a setback after showing promise on debut at this venue last year. He returned at the back-end to finish runner-up at Navan and again shaped well at Sligo in May. He might prefer an extra furlong, but his trainer has always held him in high regard and the son of Unfortunately could be on a nice mark. Never Shout Never has dropped to a competitive mark and had plenty of rivals behind when fourth over 6f here last weekend. New headgear is fitted and he has won over this trip. A dual course winner over further, Merisi Diamond will be suited by any easing of the ground.

This looks wide open and it could pay to take a chance on OSTRAKA. She wasn't ideally placed when midfield in a big-field handicap here 7 days ago and, with blinkers back on, she could well be seen in a better light from a further reduced mark. Mount Ruapehu is proving inconsistent but capable of playing a part on the pick of his form. Never Shout Never and James Henry are others to note.

A chance is taken on NEVER SHOUT NEVER who didn't quite last home over 6f here last week after racing freely in new blinkers.
