16:10 Clonmel Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FIANNA showed promise on debut last month and while she drops in distance, should progress and a drier surface will suit. A half-sister to three winners, she was claimer-ridden at Roscommon and while well enough held, there were some useful formlines in that race. Next Trick, a half-sister to Group 1 Prix de Royallieu winner Sea Silk Road, has some form at this level but while reasonably dependable, is vulnerable to progressive types. Improvista was reported to be clinically abnormal when weakening rapidly in June and reappears in first-time cheekpieces. My Goodness, out of an unraced half-sister to two Group 1 winners, makes a belated debut.

An open-looking fillies maiden and it could be worth taking a chance on ELANA OSARIO, who was well supported on debut at Cork last month but ultimately shaped as if the experience was needed. She can take a big step forward at the expense of Fianna, who offered something to work on when fourth at Roscommon recently and is entitled to do better. Ina Mina and Next Trick can fight out third.

IMPROVISTA looked really promising when beaten 2l two runs ago and she may bounce back from a lesser run with headgear now fitted

16:45 Clonmel Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GOLDEN CIRCET is officially 11lb wrong with Stariam, but is better suited to this distance than his rival. His form is mediocre, but he met some traffic on his Curragh handicap debut before finishing well. He is ideally suited by this distance and good ground. Stariam did finish second at this distance in today's opening race in 2023, but that was an ordinary contest and her recent form has been over longer distances. She is consistent and finished second to subsequent Ebor winner Magical Zoe in June, but might lack the selection's pace. Lohengrin's terrific Tipperary form was rather boosted by Wigmore Street winning Saturday's Irish Cambridgeshire, but he remains frustrating. Accwest showed just mild promise at Roscommon.

STARIAM is the clear form pick and should have little trouble opening her account. Golden Circet is the likeliest to capitalise if the selection underperforms.

This looks like an excellent chance for STARIAM after three second placings this year, one of them behind the subsequent Ebor winner

17:15 Clonmel Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Handicap debutant LABHAOISE was beaten long distances in three maiden runs, but met some in-running traffic in June and should better her current rating. While beaten 12 lengths at Fairyhouse, that form is useful with the runner-up subsequently landing a maiden, and with the selection today returning following a mini-break and running over a longer distance, she could progress significantly. Game Phoenix also debuts in handicaps but while she showed improved form over hurdles recently and has Colin Keane's assistance, might ideally prefer slightly further. Simple Endeavour and Poppy Pimento have shown useful recent handicap form, although they are drawn quite wide.

With improvement anticipated now upped in trip for this handicap debut, LABHAOISE could be worth chancing. Indeed, she didn't shape at all badly in a 7f Fairyhouse maiden last time when doing all her best work at the finish. Finsceal Annie is in good form and, fresh from her near miss at Tipperary on Sunday (due to go up 5 lb for that), she is feared most. Bizarre Dreams and Simple Endeavour are others to consider.

Simple Endeavour and BIZARRE DREAMS are closely matched on their form from Sunday with preference for the latter having met trouble

17:45 Clonmel Handicap 10f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LIVIO MILO runs in a first-time tongue-tie, but is an able performer in useful handicap races. Well suited by this distance, he was well enough held in his latest two runs but drops in grade and while 1lb wrong for future races, his rider claims 3lb and this race is winnable. Malbay Madness disappointed twice at the recent Galway Festival, but is forgiven that second run as it came just three days after his hurdles race. He had good handicap form last year, but would ideally prefer easy ground. Recent maiden hurdle winner Expound has been running well in similar handicaps and is well suited by conditions.

Having hit the frame in a couple of Flat handicaps, EXPOUND was much improved when winning a novice hurdle 3 weeks ago and he's fancied the continue the good work. Livio Milo fill find this slightly easier so he's feared, along with Malbay Madness.

Not easy to rule out any of these. The vote goes to EXPOUND to improve a modest strike rate on the Flat following a recent hurdles win

18:15 Clonmel Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

JARVIS BROOK ran a stormer on stable debut for Paul Nolan when just pipped in second at Gowran Park last month. That run came off a very lengthy absence and he should be a big player, as the horse that beat him followed up in a higher grade. Considering Jeaniemacaroney landed a maiden hurdle at Roscommon on her penultimate start, she ought to be up to obliging in a low-grade handicap on the Flat. She has had several near-misses in this sphere, but her best run came at this track when beaten a neck into second last year. The World's Astage is a consistent sort, while Barrogstown Girl struck over further at Limerick in July.

KEILAH was strong in the betting and shaped better than the result (not clear run) when sixth at Cork on debut for this yard, so she makes most appeal for all that the likes of Jeanuemacaroney and Jarvis Brook arrive in good form.

Provided that he doesn't bounce, JARVIS BROOK ought to go well after a big run at Gowran on return when making his yard debut

18:45 Clonmel Handicap 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

THE BANGER DOYLE travelled well in a staying handicap at Tramore before being outgunned by the winner. He is on a decent mark and has proven fast-ground experience. New Year Honours was strong when winning at Down Royal and the extra yardage shouldn't pose a problem for this former Punchestown maiden hurdle winner. Grappa Nonino has the ability to land a blow for Dermot Weld and Chris Hayes, while Jabbar has won two of his four races this season and has to be respected up in trip. Dark Note is a decent hurdler who could show up well, while En Or was a fair fourth at a big price in Galway and is on a competitive mark.

JABBAR enhanced his good strike rate in handicaps and produced a career-best in the process when successful at Killarney (14.4f) 2 weeks ago. Unexposed at this longer trip, he's fancied to play a lead role once again. The Banger Doyle and New Year Honours are others to consider.

Jack Cleary's 7lb claim should be a big help to the improving JABBAR in his bid to supplement his Killarney win.

19:15 Clonmel Handicap 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CURIOUS BRIDE is holding her form well and has a shot at turning the tables on Elzaamsan. The latter was very good off the front under Josh Halford in a qualified riders' handicap at Leopardstown last month. Curious Bride kept on for third but, as Elzaamsan may not get an uncontested lead this time, she could be a big player as she is proven over further and has enjoyed quick ground before. There could be plenty of pace on in this race which may suit Miss Aytan. On her last run on the Flat, she was held up and kept on for fourth at Tramore. Molly Hall made virtually all over 1m6f at Navan and is another to take seriously under a 7lb penalty.

CURIOUS BRIDE didn't enjoy the rub of the green but still posted a good Leopardstown third last time out so is fancied to quickly resume winning ways. Plains Indian is next on the list at these weights, with recent Navan scorer Molly Hall also very much one to consider.

Last year's winner, MOLLY HALL, should go well after last week's success at Navan and the step back up in trip will help too
