1st (1) (7/4 -7%) Money Heist |
7/4(-7%) | (1) Money Heist 7/4, Promising sort. 7/4 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, career best when winning 16-runner handicap chase at Naas (16f, soft) 28 days ago, cosily. More to come and worth a chance to follow up. Recovered from a mistake at the last to win at Naas, looks capable of following up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (12/1 +64%) Kilashee |
12/1(+64%) | (8) Kilashee 12/1, Unreliable individual. Two wins from 43 NH runs. Thirty two runs since last win in 2021. 25/1, eleventh of 13 in handicap chase at Down Royal (20f, soft) 16 days ago. Twice second at this venue in recent months, held by Money Heist on Naas run, undependable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (4/1 +0%) Chainofconsequence |
4/1(+0%) | (5) Chainofconsequence 4/1, 13/2, career best when winning 13-runner handicap chase at Limerick (17.7f, heavy) 16 days ago, kept up to work. Respected. Produced a dominant display in first-time blinkers at Limerick, now 8lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/1 -11%) Prince Of Air |
10/1(-11%) | (6) Prince Of Air 10/1, Winner in hurdle at Tramore in August. Respectable 7¾ lengths fourth of 16 to Money Heist in handicap chase (9/1) at Naas (16f, soft) 28 days ago. Jumping was ragged when fourth to Money Heist at Naas, could feature with a better round. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (4/1 -14%) Johngus |
4/1(-14%) | (2) Johngus 4/1, C&D winner. 1 win from 2 runs this season. 9/4, creditable seventh of 14 in handicap hurdle at Limerick (19f, heavy) 13 days ago. Switches from hurdles to chase. Looks well treated in this sphere. Second of his two Limerick hurdle runs may have come too soon after his win, could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (14/1 +44%) Barbaha Queen |
14/1(+44%) | (9) Barbaha Queen 14/1, Fifteen runs since last win in 2022. Modest winner at 16f over hurdles. 22½ lengths twelfth of 16 to Money Heist in handicap chase at Naas (16f, soft, 20/1) 28 days ago. Course maiden hurdle winner in 2022, towards the rear in Naas event won by Money Heist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (8/1 -14%) Jump The Shark |
8/1(-14%) | (4) Jump The Shark 8/1, Seventh of 12 in novice chase at Fairyhouse (16.5f, heavy, 150/1) 26 days ago. Makes handicap chase debut. Others preferred. Poor chase form so far, trainer has a much more obvious candidate in Money Heist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (7) (80/1 +20%) Theblazen Queen |
80/1(+20%) | (7) Theblazen Queen 80/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 100/1, below form well-beaten seventh of 13 to Chainofconsequence in handicap chase at Limerick (17.7f, heavy) 16 days ago. Struggled in beginners' events last summer, same behind Chainofconsequence at Limerick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (10) (250/1 -150%) Glen Ali |
250/1(-150%) | (10) Glen Ali 250/1, Thoroughly unreliable individual. 66/1, pulled up in handicap chase at Fairyhouse (24.5f, heavy) 65 days ago, beaten before next. Significantly back down in trip. Has struggled since rejoining her original trainer after an unsuccessful stint in Britain. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (12/1 -118%) Young Fitzy |
12/1(-118%) | (3) Young Fitzy 12/1, Sixteen runs since last win in 2022. Creditable third of 14 in handicap hurdle at Limerick (19f, heavy, 14/1) 13 days ago. Switches from hurdles to chase. Makes handicap chase debut. One to consider. Potentially interesting here on his second run over fences, first was a win early in 2022. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MONEY HEIST has been raised 9lb for his December success but did well to win as he blundered at the last and is value for more. He returned from 394 days off in November but confirmed his earlier promise in winning at Naas (Prince Of Air was fourth), is suited by conditions and might continue to progress. Young Fitzy won three races in four months in 2021/'22 - including his only ever chase run, and has recent hurdles' form. He is rated 11lb lower in that sphere but nonetheless remains unexposed over fences. Johngus, a dual-winner from 28 career runs, won at Limerick over Christmas and was beaten two days later. He is rated 6lb lower in this sphere and, importantly, has winning Clonmel-heavy-ground form. Chainofconsequence has recent Limerick-heavy-ground form and is 8lb higher for his recent win. Jump The Shark would prefer further and makes his handicap chase debut.
MONEY HEIST scored with something to spare at Naas last month and, with more to come, he's fancied to go in again at the likely expense of Johngus, who is well treated returning to the larger obstacles. Young Fitzy is another one to consider.
But for a mistake at the last MONEY HEIST would have won more decisively at Naas and can be fancied to cope with a 9lb rise

1st (3) (7/4 +22%) Casey West |
7/4(+22%) | (3) Casey West 7/4, Runner-up in points prior to finishing second of 16 on his recent Limerick hunter debut, with the reopposing Boss Robin and Dromleigh behind in third/fourth. Leading contender following second at Limerick with several of these behind, yard in form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (9/2 -35%) Dromleigh |
9/2(-35%) | (4) Dromleigh 9/2, Point winner who shaped with encouragement when third of 6 in hunter at Fairyhouse (24.3f, heavy) on debut over fences in November. Given a lot to do and couldn't sustain effort when fourth of 16 at Limerick (22.6f) over Christmas. This shorter trip a help if anything. Player. Appears well held by Casey West on Limerick running but closely matched with Boss Robin. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (33/1 -32%) Pulse Of Camelot |
33/1(-32%) | (9) Pulse Of Camelot 33/1, Made frame on 3 of 4 starts in points, including latest (Nov 26). The betting should help guide to expectations. Only 3l off runner-up Casey West when third at Linsgtown, in good hands with Liam Burke. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (12) (80/1 -21%) Stormy Story |
80/1(-21%) | (12) Stormy Story 80/1, Winning pointer but pulled up on Limerick hunter debut over Christmas. Point winner two seasons ago, big price when pulled up at Limerick on racecourse debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (9/1 +25%) Boss Robin |
9/1(+25%) | (2) Boss Robin 9/1, Point winner. Placed for second time in hunters when third of 16 at Limerick (22.6f, heavy) over Christmas but reopposing Casey West was ahead in second. Has plenty to find with Casey West on Limerick running, closely matched with Dromleigh. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (12/1 +52%) Ask Mike |
12/1(+52%) | (1) Ask Mike 12/1, Point winner. Behind a few of these when fifth of 16 in hunter chase at Limerick (22.6f, heavy, 18/1) on NH debut 15 days ago. Finished behind three of these rivals when fifth at Limerick on his racecourse debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (13) (50/1 -150%) Electric Dreamer |
50/1(-150%) | (13) Electric Dreamer 50/1, Well held in 3 hurdles over the summer but has won a point since, although she was behind Miner's Bridge when they clashed between the flags in November. Boulta winner last time, may struggle to reverse previous form with Miners Bridge. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (33/1 -65%) Sampoet |
33/1(-65%) | (11) Sampoet 33/1, Successful on last of 7 starts in points (Dec 30). More needed on hunter debut. Won with plenty to spare on the most recent of seven starts in points, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (40/1 -21%) Keep Me Posted |
40/1(-21%) | (6) Keep Me Posted 40/1, Multiple point winner but well held in a bumper and 2 hunters under Rules. Three-time winner in points, has failed to shine on the track, tailed off at Limerick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (8) (11/1 -38%) Nibbles |
11/1(-38%) | (8) Nibbles 11/1, Modest maiden hurdler but came good on point debut in November. More will be needed now moving into a hunter. Limited over hurdles, made an effective transition when a 17l point winner at Dromahane. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (7) (5/1 -11%) Miners Bridge |
5/1(-11%) | (7) Miners Bridge 5/1, Successful on last of 4 starts in points (beat Electric Dreamer, Nov 25). One to consider on hunter debut for respected connections. Won snugly from Electric Dreamer at Boulta in November, strong trainer/rider combination. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (9/2 +0%) Ringcraft |
9/2(+0%) | (10) Ringcraft 9/2, Half-brother to useful hurdler/top-class chaser Ballyoisin. Runner-up sole start in points (Nov 2022). It has taken a bit of time to get him back to the track but represents a top stable and market confidence would look highly significant. Half-brother to the smart Ballyoisin, second on only point start in 2022, much respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (200/1 -400%) Enoughofthat |
200/1(-400%) | (5) Enoughofthat 200/1, Poor hurdler. 80/1, pulled up in novice hurdle at Limerick (21f, heavy) 82 days ago. Third in point ahead of chase debut. Weak hurdles form, makes little appeal based on a recent third behind Sampoet in a point. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Maiden point-to-pointer CASEY WEST ran well in a similar race over Christmas. He showed useful racecourse form in 2021 and having gone unraced in a spell with Willie Mullins subsequently, returned from 875 days off last year. A lightly-raced eight-year-old, a reproduction of his Limerick effort, behind a promising winner, might suffice. Ringcraft, a half-brother to high-class chaser Ballyoisin, finished second on pointing debut at Tinahely in November 2022 and while he returns from 417 days off, Rob James is a notable booking. The selection holds today's rivals Boss Robin (finished third), Dromleigh (fourth), Ask Mike (fifth) on Limerick form and also Sampoet and Pulse Of Camelot on previous form. Nibbles showed improvement when ploughing his way to a Dromahane win but, in common with Miners Bridge and Electric Dreamer, steps up from a maiden point-to-pointing.
The suggestion is Gordon Elliott's RINGCRAFT, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. The strong-travelling Dromleigh may benefit from this slightly shorter trip and can turn around recent Limerick form with Casey West and Boss Robin and provide the chief threat. Sam Curling point winner Miners Bridge is another interesting contender under Derek O'Connor.
Gordon Elliott's RINGCRAFT may prove a cut above these rivals and the 7lb claimed by Rob James is of significant value

1st (2) (2/5 +40%) Quai De Bourbon |
2/5(+40%) | (2) Quai De Bourbon 2/5, Hadn't pulled up in any trees in a couple of 3-y-o hurdles in France for Y. Fouin but looked a smart stayer in the making when winning 16-runner maiden at Naas (19f) on his Irish debut (after 13 months off) 28 days ago. Open to further progress. Recovered from an error three out to win readily on Irish debut at Naas, can build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/1 +0%) Westport Cove |
5/1(+0%) | (4) Westport Cove 5/1, Bumper winner who made a successful hurdling debut in a first-time hood after 8 months off at Thurles in November. Pulled up in Grade 1 (40/1) at Leopardstown (16f, heavy) 15 days ago, however, so needs to bounce back. Free-running type has won a bumper and maiden hurdle, yard's apparent second-string. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (17/2 +15%) Doyen Ta Win |
17/2(+15%) | (5) Doyen Ta Win 17/2, Fairly useful hurdler who offered little after 7 months off when pulled up at Newbury (16.3f, good to soft) 40 days ago. Progressive in winning three handicaps last season, out of her depth at Newbury on latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (8/1 -167%) Tactical Affair |
8/1(-167%) | (3) Tactical Affair 8/1, Promise in bumpers and stepped up again to make a successful debut in this sphere at Cork (2m) in November. Improved again when third of 6 in minor event hurdle (9/4) at Punchestown (16.8f, heavy) since and likely to make a bold bid. Won on hurdling debut at Cork, third behind a stablemate of Quai De Bourbon at Punchestown. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
QUAI DE BOURBON seemingly showed inexperience contesting two French heavy-ground runs last October/November and while his jumping was novicey in winning recently, has potential. He looked nice at Naas and while he drops in distance, reverting to heavy might give him time to better organise his technique. Dependable Tactical Affair is suited by conditions and while there was no disgrace in being beaten by returning Elixir D'ainay last month, was beaten seven lengths by the 115-rated runner-up, which admittedly received 16lb. Westport Cover pulled up in a recent Grade 1 and being a keen-goer, it is a negative to see him reappear just 15 days later running in a first-time tongue-tie. Front-runner Doyen Ta Win pulled up on her recent reappearance run but has winning heavy-ground form. Action Motion faces a tough task.
QUAI DE BOURBON looked a good prospect when making a winning start for Willie Mullins at Naas 4 weeks ago and is taken to follow up in spite of the drop in trip. Tactical Affair is going the right way and is an obvious threat.
There should be plenty of improvement to come from Naas maiden winner QUAI DE BOURBON especially if he can jump more tidily.

4/1(+11%) | (8) Implicit 4/1, 3/1 and hooded for 1st time, shaped as if amiss when pulled up in maiden hurdle at Limerick (21f, heavy) 2 weeks ago. Down in trip. Dangerous to dismiss. Promising 3rd on debut here; pulled up long way out at Limerick since; 2m may not be ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/6 +0%) Enola |
4/6(+0%) | (1) Enola 4/6, Useful Flat winner. Promising type. 7/4, showed aptitude for hurdling before lack of a recent outing told after 15 months off on first run since leaving P. Cottier when fourth of 13 in maiden hurdle at Cork (16f, heavy) 46 days ago. Should go well. Listed winner on Flat; respectable 4th on hurdle bow; beaten fav that day but can improve. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (200/1 -100%) Backfromtheraces |
200/1(-100%) | (5) Backfromtheraces 200/1, Fifth sole start in points but offered little on both starts over hurdles recently. Poor point effort and shown nothing in two rules starts at triple figure odds. |

First run for yard after leaving Brian Nolan. Placed in 2 bumpers; poor efforts on Flat more recently; needs to step up on hurdle bow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

9/2(-64%) | (14) Thegingrin 9/2, 5/1, improved on hurdling debut form when third of 10 in maiden hurdle at Tramore (21f, soft) 44 days ago. Down in trip. Should be bang there. Point winner; best run yet at 2m5f latest but not sure to be suited by this test. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (250/1 -67%) Restless Lady |
250/1(-67%) | (12) Restless Lady 250/1, Pulled up on sole start in points and offered little making Rules debut when eleventh of 17 in maiden hurdle (200/1) at Naas (16f, soft) 4 weeks ago. Pulled up in a point and shown nothing when 200-1 for her hurdle/rules bow last month. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ENOLA was smart on the flat in her native France, should benefit from her hurdling debut and can concede weight and land this winnable maiden. A three-time flat winner including in a Marseille Listed race last September, she was subsequently bought for 200,000 euros and having raced keen and green at Cork, should improve experience-wise. Thegingrin won on point-to-point debut in February 2022, before selling for 115,000 pounds. Her racecourse form is nothing special but nonetheless showed some promise at Tramore in November, although reverts markedly down in distance. Ah Fuhgeddaboutit needs to improve while Dreamz's form is on good ground. The selection's six-year-old stablemate Implicit has raced just twice and is best watched having reported to have 'coughed a few times' post-race when pulling up at Limerick.
A mares maiden containing plenty of deadwood and the vote goes to ENOLA, who was a listed winner on the Flat in France and showed aptitude for hurdling before a lack of a recent outing told after 15 months off at Cork in November. Willie Mullins also saddles Implicit and she's a threat provided all is well after her Limerick disappointment a fortnight ago, with Thegingrin and Ah Fuhgeddaboudit another couple fancied to feature.
Expect ENOLA to improve from her yard debut when too keen on the back of a break. She was Listed level on the Flat and should do better

14th (7) (100/1 -52%) Manor Royale |
100/1(-52%) | (7) Manor Royale 100/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 250/1, thirteenth of 18 in novice hurdle at Limerick (16f, heavy) 16 days ago. Promising 5th in a bumper at start of year; shown nothing in 3 runs this winter. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
JIMMY DU SEUIL was upstaged by a stablemate in December but ran well in that contest and is the star of this ordinary production. His French bumper form is strong and while beaten at Thurles, conceded 7lb to the winner, with the pair finishing clear. He faces heavy ground for the first time but is race-fit. Another stablemate Surf Club provides some opposition but is a once-raced eight-year-old. He debuted in a tongue-tie when showing mild promise on Downpatrick debut in May but is absence since. Pirate Island was reported to have 'blood at both nostrils' following a Cork fall – having become tired, in December. He ran much better at Limerick during Christmas but is unlikely to trouble the selection. Run For Harry was beaten 126 lengths in a recent chase but previously ran ok in a Navan maiden hurdle last March. Homebred King Of Cong is a lightly-raced five-year-old who ran well on belated debut last month. The winner of that Boulta point-to-point was sold for 25,000 pounds, with the runner-up selling for 40,000 pounds subsequently, but he drops markedly in distance.
Expensive French-recruit JIMMY DU SEUIL wasn't able to justify market confidence when second at Thurles but he shaped with plenty of promise nonetheless and this looks an excellent opportunity for him to go one better. His stablemate Surf Club can follow him home on hurdles bow, with Pirate Island best of the others.
This looks like a good chance for JIMMY DU SEUIL whose bumper form has worked out okay and he was only narrowly denied on yard debut

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ROBINDEVIDASTAR was beaten by a well-handicapped subsequent winner last month and is suited by conditions. Much of his form is over longer distances but ran well at this trip at Fairyhouse so should compete from 3lb higher in an ordinary contest. Be My Hero was withdrawn seven times last year due to 'unsuitable going' on soft or heavy ground, so is a fascinating runner. A 20-race maiden with good-ground form, he coped with soft on St Stephen's Day so is now presented with this fact-finding mission. Eight-year-old mare Chosen Shant is a 15-race maiden whose UK form was on good ground but ran well on soft at Naas last month, although is 1lb higher and without her then rider's 4lb claim. Always Enchanting, a seven-year-old maiden mare, has been running well enough in big-field handicaps.
Lots with chances but Gordon Elliott's consistent BE MY HERO is taken to gain a deserved breakthrough success after a run of good efforts. Chosen Shant is rated next best on the back of a good Naas third, with Always Enchanting weighted to have a say too.
CHOSEN SHANT might be able to get off the mark in a weak race here having shown much more at Naas last month

|PU| (2) (16/1 -167%) The Mass Path |
16/1(-167%) | (2) The Mass Path 16/1, 18/1, respectable seventh of 16 in handicap hurdle at Limerick (16f, heavy) 15 days ago, not knocked about. Back up in trip. Went close in maiden hurdle at Sligo in July; shown little since and different ground here. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BLOSSOM DE MAI showed her old sparkle recently and represents a yard in devastating form. Bumper-placed on debut in April 2022, her form thereafter was ordinary but returned, following 332 days off, when winning at Tramore. Beaten just three and a half lengths subsequently at Navan, today's race looks winnable and conditions suit. Intersky Sunset, also suited by conditions, followed up her October point-to-point win with a subsequent hurdle success and then ran ok over fences at Tramore. She is 1llb higher than when winning at Gowran and while today's rider claims an extra 2lb, she now runs in a first-time tongue-tie. Little Token, whose only hurdle win came here in March 2022, ran ok in a recent open point-to-point and is a heavy-ground performer. I'm For Home improved at Limerick last time while The Mass Path's best form is on good ground. Six-time UK winner Lissen To The Lady wasn't beaten too far on either of her last two Irish runs. Sea Road Fil's form is on better ground.
CARLAS BIG JIM ran his best race when runner-up at Limerick 13 days ago and a reproduction of that form could see him go one better back in handicap company. Blossom de Mai and Intersky Sunset are a couple of potential threats.
This could be a good chance for I'M FOR HOME who produced a career best last time and he's less exposed than most
Ths is the racecard key.

It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
