11/4(+39%) | (1) Exigency 11/4, Fourteen runs since last win in 2021. Placed 3 times between August/September but ran one of lesser races when ninth of 11 in handicap at this course (8f, 14/1) 21 days ago. Visor on 1st time. Not discounted dropping in grade. On dangerous mark but she didn't fire here (1m) last time and is now 0-12 in Britain. |

3rd (3) (11/1 -144%) Media Guest |
11/1(-144%) | (3) Media Guest 11/1, One win from 27 Flat runs. 7/1, fifth of 7 in handicap at this C&D 16 days ago. First run for yard after leaving George Margarson. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Just 1-27 but he's run several good races since July and is in the mix for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (3/1 +14%) Fayasel |
3/1(+14%) | (7) Fayasel 3/1, Latest win at Wolverhampton in October. 9/2, not in same form when seventh of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 9 days ago but holds sound claims if back to his best. Won on Wolverhampton last month and things didn't go his way there last time; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (6/1 +0%) Gatwick Kitten |
6/1(+0%) | (9) Gatwick Kitten 6/1, Three wins from 11 runs this year. Latest win at Yarmouth in August. Respectable fifth of 11 in handicap (18/1) at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 8 days ago, nearest finish having been left poorly placed. Player having another crack at 7f. Eyecatcher over 6f on AW in last two starts and looks interesting back up in trip. |

6th (10) (16/1 +20%) Decipher |
16/1(+20%) | (10) Decipher 16/1, Tenth of 11 in handicap at this C&D 23 days ago. Tongue strap/cheekpieces on 1st time. Not easy to make a case for. Seven-race maiden who has finished in rear in her four handicaps; equipment is now added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (22/1 -38%) Impulsive Lady |
22/1(-38%) | (5) Impulsive Lady 22/1, Yard typically do well with new recruits but was unfancied in the betting on first run since leaving James Tate and finished only seventh of 8 in handicap at this course (8f) 7 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Worth another market check. Still lightly raced but she needs a transformation back at 7f; first-time cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (28/1 -100%) Boom Boom Pow |
28/1(-100%) | (6) Boom Boom Pow 28/1, Winner at Kempton in June. First run since leaving Jo Davis when ninth of 11 in handicap (12/1) at Salisbury (8f, good) 79 days ago. Rejoined yard after leaving Seamus Durack. Cheekpieces back on. Drop in trip rates as a positive but others are preferred. Has a patchy record but her win came on Polytrack two runs back; dangerous back on AW. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
GATWICK KITTEN has put in two solid efforts the last twice over 6f, including when beaten just under two lengths into fifth at Wolverhampton most recently, and he was kindly dropped 1lb by the handicapper for that display. He should have no issues with this distance and could be the one to beat. Fayasel has to be a player if he can reproduce the form that carried him to victory at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start, while Exigency also makes some appeal in a first-time visor.
EXIGENCY has a below-par effort to shrug off but had been running well in slightly better company on turf beforehand and, in a race which lacks an obvious standout contender, she's given the chance to end a 3-year losing streak. Gatwick Kitten went close at Kempton last time and is worth treating as if still in form, so can also make his presence felt up in trip, with Fayasel another to consider.
This looks tricky but GATWICK KITTEN gets the vote ahead of Media Guest.

100/1(-100%) | (5) Hits The Front 100/1, Tasleet gelding. 50/1, twelfth of 13 in minor event at Nottingham (6.1f, heavy) on debut 24 days ago. Looks one for the longer term. 50-1 and beat only one home in 13-runner novice at Nottingham (6f) last month. |

66/1(-230%) | (12) Cremone 66/1, Harry Angel filly. 22/1, matched debut form when third of 4 in minor event at Windsor (5.1f, heavy) 12 days ago. Not fully discounted but may be of more interest in nurseries. Similar level of minor form over 6f (AW) and 5f (turf); of more interest when handicapping. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Claxton Bay took a step forward from his debut effort to finish fourth at Lingfield over a mile and he has to be considered, even taking into account this step back in distance. However, preference is for CLYDE BAY, who wasn't beaten all that far in heavy conditions at Bath and he could prove a different proposition on his first start on the all-weather, with the likelihood of more to come on only his third start. Any market support for Heathcliff on his debut should be noted.
CLAXTON BAY is related to a smart sort and sets a clear standard on the form of his LIngfield fourth, so is fancied to get off the mark, with Clyde Bay and Ben Y Bryn also players having each taken a step forward last time.
Ben Y Bryn and Claxton Bay should be involved but it might be worth chancing CLYDE BAY who is bred to be suited by the AW.

7th (10) (15/2 +38%) Red Walls |
15/2(+38%) | (10) Red Walls 15/2, Course winner. Twenty runs since last win in 2022. Good ½-length second of 11 to Show Compassion in handicap (11/1) at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 12 days ago. Can go wel but others make greater appeal for win purposes. Back to form when 2nd at Wolverhampton 12 days ago; well drawn & should go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (12/1 -200%) Katar |
12/1(-200%) | (6) Katar 12/1, Remains a maiden after 19 Flat runs but has been knocking on the dor of late, again running well to be second of 11 in handicap (11/4) at this course (5f) 16 days ago. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (8/1 +20%) Snow Berry |
8/1(+20%) | (9) Snow Berry 8/1, Latest win at Yarmouth in August. Has remained in good form since, again making the frame when third of 8 in handicap (16/1) at this C&D 21 days ago. Sound place claims. Placed over C&D three weeks ago but more will be needed to come out on top today. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Show Compassion took care of her nearest rival by half a length at Wolverhampton last time and she has to be respected off only 2lb higher. However, the vote goes to REVOLUCION, who showed appreciation for the application of a visor when beaten just a head into second at Kempton and he ought to go very close off the same rating. Of the remainder, Global Effort and Dicko The Legend make the most appeal.
A competitive handicap, with CONQUEST OF POWER getting the verdict having shown his form for the first time in a while here last week. He should be suited by the return to 6f, so gets the nod ahead of Revolucion, who bounced back to form at Kempton last time. Katar and Show Compassion are berthed in the widest 2 stalls but arrive at the top of their game and have to be respected also.
Kitbag and Conquest Of Power are respected but DICKO THE LEGEND can confirm the promise of his recent Wolverhampton third.

9th (7) (50/1 -178%) Legend Of Leros |
50/1(-178%) | (7) Legend Of Leros 50/1, Lightly-raced winner. Fourth of 7 in handicap at Leicester (7f, heavy, 10/1) 18 days ago. First three runs were most encouraging but his latest two much less so; jury out for now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
MOSTABSHIR has been highly tried since running away with a novice event at York in May, and has yet to add to that success. Recently gelded and eased into handicap company now, the Gosdens' three-year-old is fancied to defy his lofty mark. Excel Power has an excellent record on the all-weather and can't be ruled out from just 2lb above his last winning figure. The unexposed Enfjaar, in the same ownership as the selection, has something to prove following two below-par efforts but should not be underestimated.
ENFJAAR was unable to handle conditions after 3 months off at Haydock and is well worth another chance off what looks a decent mark. Excel Power took a step back in the right direction here last time and is next best ahead of Empirestateofmind.
Urban Sprawl should make another bold bid but it might be worth chancing POSITIVE IMPACT now he returns to Polytrack.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
In a race littered with untapped potential, only a tentative vote can go to DON SIMON. A son of Sea The Stars and out the stable's former superstar Snow Fairy, the half-brother to the smart John Leeper makes significant appeal ahead of his racecourse bow and is, perhaps crucially, drawn low. Campaign Medal also catches the eye on paper and it would be no surprise were he to play a leading role. Others of interest include Bur Dubai and Grey Charger.
CAMPAIGN MEDAL makes the most appeal for the Gosden team before market clues in this newcomers event. Don Simon and Grey Charger are other likely types.
Grey Charger, Campaign Medal and Don Simon are all of some interest but BIG ZOU is tentatively preferred.

5/1(+55%) | (4) Mr Trick 5/1, Lesser efforts on his last 2 starts, eighth of 14 in handicap (25/1) at Kempton (1m) 17 days ago. On a workable mark if application of blinkers can help spark a return to form. On a handy mark but needs to leave two quiet runs behind him; new headgear today. |

7th (8) (100/1 -300%) Kilcummin |
100/1(-300%) | (8) Kilcummin 100/1, Won juvenile hurdle at Fontwell on penultimate start but pulled up at Wincanton (15.2f, soft, 16/1) 6 days ago. Best form on Flat has come on the all-weather, but he's still looking for his first win in this sphere. Hurdle winner last month; pulled up on Sunday; hard to fancy on his Flat form. |

8th (6) (40/1 -100%) Star Map |
40/1(-100%) | (6) Star Map 40/1, In first-time visor, run best excused when sixth of 10 in handicap (14/1) at this course (7f) 16 days ago, meeting trouble on more than one occasion. However, had been struggling for form prior to her latest outing. Not built on her Doncaster 2nd in May (6f, soft); new trip today & it needs to spark extra. |

|U| (5) (7/1 -75%) Storm Asset |
7/1(-75%) | (5) Storm Asset 7/1, Recorded back-to-back wins at Wolverhampton and Nottingham in June. Has returned to form last 2 starts, fourth of 12 in handicap (4/1) at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 12 days ago. Can be thereabouts once more. Two wins in June and he's run at least as well the last twice; one to consider. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
MITIGATOR posted a creditable second over C&D last month and would appear to have been found a nice opportunity to go one better. Kodi Noir, who has been a model of consistency in recent starts, is unlikely to go down without a fight. Storm Asset faded into fourth late on over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton 12 days ago and might fare better now dropped in trip.
MITIGATOR left his seasonal/stable debut run behind when second at this C&D 16 days ago, despite having been short of room entering the straight, and he can build on that effort to return to winning ways. Kodi Noir is going through a good spell at present and is feared most, ahead of Storm Asset.
Cariad is dangerous at this level but MITIGATOR (nap) can confirm the promise of last month's C&D second.

1st (8) (5/2 +9%) Dame Sarra |
5/2(+9%) | (8) Dame Sarra 5/2, Off the mark at Wolverhampton in July. Below form next time but has run creditably on her last 2 starts, second of 10 in handicap (11/2) at Newcastle (12.4f) 46 days ago. Respected as she goes up in trip. Has been knocking on the door on Tapeta in last two runs and is a big player upped to 1m6f. |

2nd (4) (7/1 -40%) All About Alice |
7/1(-40%) | (4) All About Alice 7/1, Returned to her best when winning at Lingfield in August and backed up that effort when fourth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (14.1f, 16/5) 37 days ago. Major player. Clearcut win at Lingfield (2m) before a fair fourth at Southwell (1m6f) latest; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (40/1 -122%) Two Plus Two |
40/1(-122%) | (10) Two Plus Two 40/1, Upped in trip, produced best effort to date when third of 12 in handicap (28/1) at Lingfield (12f, AW) 8 days ago. Task is now to build on his latest effort over this even longer distance. 0-12 but he was a close third at Lingfield last time and looks worth a try at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (15/8 +53%) Shadowfax |
15/8(+53%) | (2) Shadowfax 15/8, Made much more impact than previously this year when second of 8 in handicap (4/1) at this course (2m) a week ago. Capable of getting involved having been eased further in the weights. 0-10 but he was a good second here (2m) last week and looks interesting back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (14/1 +30%) Prince Abu |
14/1(+30%) | (1) Prince Abu 14/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. After 10 weeks off, never landed a blow when sixth of 7 in handicap (33/1) at this C&D 30 days ago. Has work to do. On reduced mark but losing run is up to 11 and he's struggled in last four runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (11/2 +31%) Velvet Vulcan |
11/2(+31%) | (3) Velvet Vulcan 11/2, Ran well when third of 12 in handicap (15/2) at Wolverhampton (12.2f) 28 days ago, taking third late on. Will need to find more as he goes further up in trip. 0-6 but he's reached the frame on AW last twice and could be dangerous at this new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (50/1 -257%) Das Kapital |
50/1(-257%) | (6) Das Kapital 50/1, Seventeen runs since last win in 2021. Well held after 13 weeks off when sixth of 11 in handicap (11/2) at Windsor (11.4f, heavy) 12 days ago. Has a bit to prove returned to this longer distance. Has lost his way and his last win was in 2021; plenty to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (66/1 -32%) Eaux De Vie |
66/1(-32%) | (9) Eaux De Vie 66/1, Never dangerous when fifth of 10 in handicap (40/1) at Wolverhampton (14f) 26 days ago, very slowly away. Application of hood not enough to tempt. Nine-race maiden with form figures of 088795 in handicaps at up to 2m; no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (22/1 -57%) Alodia |
22/1(-57%) | (11) Alodia 22/1, Not seen to best effect when ninth of 12 in handicap (8/1) at Lingfield (12f, AW) 8 days ago, racing wide having been poorly drawn. Had run well on her previous start so could bounce back. Inconsistent 13-race maiden who didn't fire on AW last time and others are more convincing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (14/1 -133%) Silver Atom |
14/1(-133%) | (7) Silver Atom 14/1, Maiden hurdler but made fourth start on Flat a winning one at Bath in September. Respectable fourth of 11 in handicap (8/1) at Newcastle (12.4f) in his follow-up bid 39 days ago. Can give another good account. Won at Bath (11.6f) on penultimate run and he could have more to offer at this new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (33/1 -106%) Abstract |
33/1(-106%) | (5) Abstract 33/1, One win from 30 Flat runs. Failed to come on for recent run when eighth of 10 in handicap (22/1) at Wolverhampton (14f) 26 days ago, though badly hampered approaching 3f out. Others still preferred. Ex-Irish gelding who has a record of 1-35 and he's struggled in last two runs; opposable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Narrowly denied on her last two starts when keeping well at the finish, DAME SARRA looks to have been crying out for a step up in trip and she gets that opportunity on this occasion. The Ed Dunlop-trained three-year-old gets the vote ahead of All About Alice and Shadowfax, who wasn't beaten far over further here last week. Others to note include Silver Atom, Two Plus Two and Velvet Vulcan.
On only her fourth start for her current yard, ALL ABOUT ALICE bounced back to her best when scoring at Lingfield in August and she ran well again when making the frame next time. She is taken to see off the challenge of Dame Sarra, who isn't taken lightly stepped up in trip, while Shadowfax also enters calculations.

1st (6) (7/2 +59%) Havana Touch |
7/2(+59%) | (6) Havana Touch 7/2, Back down in trip, ran his best race when third of 11 in nursery at Kempton (6f, 11/2) 17 days ago, taking third close home. Could still have more to offer on only his third start in a handicap. Much better last time and he did well to make the frame after starting slowly. |

2nd (8) (3/1 -33%) Palazzo Persico |
3/1(-33%) | (8) Palazzo Persico 3/1, Failed to repeat previous effort when 5¾ lengths seventh of 12 to Irrelevant in nursery at Kempton (1m, 7/2), though unsuited by step up in trip. No surprise to see him get back on track returned to 7f. Had a near miss here but then hung both ways when disappointing over Kempton's 1m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (17/2 +58%) Montecristo Gold |
17/2(+58%) | (7) Montecristo Gold 17/2, Ran to similar level as previously when fourth of 8 on nursery debut at Yarmouth (7f, soft, 7/1) 19 days ago, Step forward required as he makes polytrack debut with blinkers applied. Modest so far, including a nursery; blinkers are now turned to. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (18/1 -80%) Blenheim Star |
18/1(-80%) | (9) Blenheim Star 18/1, Hasn't built on her debut promise in 2 starts since, sixteenth of 22 in sales race at Newmarket (6f, good to firm, 150/1) 28 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Outclassed latest; first two runs weren't bad and this initial mark might be okay. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (11/1 +21%) Aspire To Glory |
11/1(+21%) | (10) Aspire To Glory 11/1, Tongue strap on for 1st time, 10 lengths fifth of 10 to Irrelevant in nursery at Kempton (7f, 4/1) 57 days ago, nearest finish having been slowly away. Has something to find. Ordinary efforts so far, including in two nurseries, the latest in a tongue-tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (12/1 +40%) China Trade |
12/1(+40%) | (4) China Trade 12/1, After 3 months off, finished well held when last of 9 in minor event (12/1) at Kempton (1m) 17 days ago, possibly amiss. Bounce back called for as she makes handicap debut. Initial efforts (6f/7f) were encouraging with a view to this sort of mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (9/2 -13%) Green Sigma |
9/2(-13%) | (3) Green Sigma 9/2, Raced freely when third of 12 in maiden (11/1) at Kempton (1m) 24 days ago. Interesting contender back down in distance for her handicap bow. Easily her best run was the middle one here and definite claims on that form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (11/1 +0%) Compton Bay |
11/1(+0%) | (5) Compton Bay 11/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Creditable third of 10 in nursery (6/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 9 days ago, keeping on having been outpaced home turn. Needs to get back on the up switched to polytrack. Patiently ridden when third off 1lb higher last week; has a race in him off this mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (8/1 -14%) Irrelevant |
8/1(-14%) | (2) Irrelevant 8/1, First run since leaving Richard Hughes when respectable fourth of 8 in nursery at Lingfield (1m, AW, 10/1) 3 days ago, again travelling well. Can resume winning ways returned to this shorter distance. There appeared no excuses when just behind Moreginplease at Lingfield on Wednesday. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
GREEN SIGMA must hold every chance if bouncing back to the form that saw her finish a promising third over C&D on her penultimate outing. A mark of 65 looks manageable on her handicap debut and she may have too much for Wednesday's Lingfield third and fourth Moreginplease and Irrelevant, with the latter fancied to improve upon his first run for new connections. Havana Touch and Palazzo Persico are expected to be thereabouts as well.
IRRELEVANT showed encouragement when fourth at Lingfield 3 days ago, travelling smoothly into contention, so he can make his second start for his current yard a winning one as he drops back down in trip. He can reverse the placings with Moreginplease from when the pair met earlier this week, with Palazzo Persico completing the shortlist.
Her wide draw is a concern but GREEN SIGMA would hold every chance if replicating the form of her third here two starts back.
Ths is the racecard key.
