1st (4) (13/2 +7%) Niigata |
13/2(+7%) | (4) Niigata 13/2, 85,000 gns yearling, Showcasing colt. Dam, 6f winner, sister to smart 6f/7f winner Intense Pink and half-sister to smart 6f winner Henrik. Plenty of speed in his pedigree but one to note despite starting out over this trip. Out of a sister to a 7f Listed winner; in very good hands and needs a close look on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (10/1 -11%) Candle Of Dubai |
10/1(-11%) | (6) Candle Of Dubai 10/1, 40,000 gns yearling, Zoffany filly. Closely related to useful 9.5f-1½m winner Colonial Classic and half-sister to several winners, including 11f-2m winner Sleeping Lion. 40,000gns half-sister to six winners; needs watching in market on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (7/1 -17%) Panthera |
7/1(-17%) | (7) Panthera 7/1, Promising type from a decent family. 33/1, seventh of 14 in maiden at Newbury (10f, good to soft) on debut 13 days ago, green. Likely to improve. Some ability on her Newbury debut two weeks ago but she needs plenty of improvement here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (1/4 +14%) Lautrec |
1/4(+14%) | (1) Lautrec 1/4, 600,000 gns Kingman colt. Closely related to 2000 Guineas winner Magna Grecia and half-brother to top-class dual-Classic winner St Mark's Basilica. Overcame inexperience to make a winning debut at Newcastle (8f, 6/4) in November, knuckling down well. Superbly-bred Dante entry and sure to progress. Cost 600,000gns; won Newcastle debut and he sets good standard under penalty; hard to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (200/1 -100%) Leon Trotsky |
200/1(-100%) | (3) Leon Trotsky 200/1, 150/1, tenth of 11 at Yarmouth (10.1f, good to firm) on debut 19 days ago. Tailed off at a massive price on Yarmouth debut 19 days ago; can only be watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (40/1 -21%) Zelma |
40/1(-21%) | (8) Zelma 40/1, Better effort second time up at 2 yrs at Kempton (7f, 50/1) in November, better placed than most. Significantly up in trip. Well held in both runs in the autumn and has plenty to find on her return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (200/1 -100%) Barafundle Bay |
200/1(-100%) | (5) Barafundle Bay 200/1, Dartmouth filly. Dam, French 2-y-o 1m winner, half-sister to useful 5f-1½m winner Torrid Hell and winner up to 2m Royal Menantie. Debutante by Dartmouth; yard 1-36 in novice events in recent years and is best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (250/1 -150%) Amigo Star |
250/1(-150%) | (2) Amigo Star 250/1, Mr Boycie Quest colt. Dam pulled up sole start over hurdles. No appeal on paper starting out in this company. This looks a tough starting point and he's probably a longer-term prospect. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
All eyes will be on LAUTREC as he makes his return following a winning start at Newcastle in November. The son of Kingman boasts some top-class relatives, including 2,000 Guineas hero Magna Grecia and St Mark's Basilica, and victory here may well tee him up for a visit to the Knavesmire, where he holds a Dante entry. Niigata cost 85,000gns and is respected given his connections, while Candle Of Dubai, a half-sister to useful stayer Sleeping Lion, is another newcomer of interest.
Hard to see beyond the superbly-bred LAUTREC and this looks a great opportunity for him to make it 2-2. Newcomer Niigata might be the danger ahead of Panthera.
This can go to LAUTREC, who won on his Newcastle debut in November and is open to plenty of progress upped in trip on his return.

1st (1) (9/4 +36%) Nikovo |
9/4(+36%) | (1) Nikovo 9/4, First run since leaving Archie Watson when winning a 7-runner handicap at Newcastle (8f) 45 days ago, readily. 5 lb rise fair enough and this 5-y-o is greatly respected. Back on track after wind surgery, with smooth win on stable debut at Newcastle; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (11/2 +8%) Red Hat Eagle |
11/2(+8%) | (7) Red Hat Eagle 11/2, Latest win at Lingfield in October. 5/2, creditable third of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) when last seen in November. Can make his presence felt, provided he's ready to roll following a break. Two AW wins in the autumn but this is competitive on his return and he needs more progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (11/2 +21%) Boasty |
11/2(+21%) | (5) Boasty 11/2, Course winner. Latest win at Wolverhampton in March. Good second of 10 in handicap back here (10f, 9/1) 7 days ago. Each-way shout. Went very close off the same mark here (1m2f) last week and he's respected back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (14/1 -320%) Egoiste |
14/1(-320%) | (9) Egoiste 14/1, Course winner. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Career best when winning 11-runner handicap (10/3) at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 33 days ago, suited by way race developed. More needed up 8 lb but he has to be respected in his hat-trick bid all the same. Hat-trick seeker who won by 4l at Wolverhampton last time; up 8lb but he's respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (9/2 +44%) Smart Deal |
9/2(+44%) | (4) Smart Deal 9/2, C&D winner in March. Good fourth of 11 in handicap (8/1) back here (7f) 26 days ago, responding well. Place possibilities. Two C&D wins since November and close up over 7f here last time; should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (28/1 -133%) Handel |
28/1(-133%) | (10) Handel 28/1, One win from 32 Flat runs. Eleven runs since last win in 2023. 8/1, below form eighth of 15 in handicap at this course (10f) 14 days ago. Blinkers back on. Record of 1-32 and he was beaten 12l here last time; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (13/2 -8%) Wadacre Grace |
13/2(-8%) | (6) Wadacre Grace 13/2, C&D winner. Latest win here in February. Creditable second of 7 in handicap (11/4) at Kempton (8f) 17 days ago. Couldn't rule out. Six-time AW winner who went close at Kempton last time and is only 1lb higher here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (8/1 +43%) David's Diva |
8/1(+43%) | (8) David's Diva 8/1, Two wins from 4 runs this year. Fifth of 8 in handicap (6/1) at Southwell (7.1f) 43 days ago. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Three wins during the winter but he's been held at Southwell last twice; down the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (28/1 -75%) The Mouse King |
28/1(-75%) | (2) The Mouse King 28/1, 9/1, respectable fourth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f). Entitled to come on for the run on the back of a 13-month absence. Just four runs since his last win in 2022 and has some work to do after 392 days off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
EGOISTE has improved considerably over the past few months by stringing together a consistent level of form and the five-year-old arrives in search of a hat-trick of victories, having won twice at Wolverhampton in March. He beat the same rival on each occasion and produced a career-best display when scoring comfortably on the most recent of those outings, so an 8lb rise may not be enough to halt him. Wadacre Grace, Smart Deal and Red Hat Eagle are others likely to enter the reckoning.
The most appealing of these is NIKOVO, who made a winning start for this yard in good style at Newcastle and a 5 lb rise is unlikely to stop him in his tracks. Wadacre Grace is proving consistent and is next on the list ahead of Red Hat Eagle and the hat-trick seeking Egoiste.
The hat-trick seeking Egoiste is strongly respected but slight preference is for last-time-out Newcastle winner NIKOVO.

1st (4) (13/8 -8%) Socialist Agenda |
13/8(-8%) | (4) Socialist Agenda 13/8, Visor on for 1st time in this code, improved to win 7-runner handicap (13/8) at Southwell (16.5f) 23 days ago, comfortably. More on his plate up 4 lb in a more competitive race but recent winning form is at a premium here, so he's shortlisted. Smooth win at Southwell last time and a 4lb rise looks fair; big player again back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 +20%) Merry Minister |
4/1(+20%) | (2) Merry Minister 4/1, Latest win at Lingfield in February. Third of 5 in handicap at this course (16f, 10/3) 21 days ago. Solid each-way chance. Won at Lingfield (2m) in February but well held in both runs since; needs to find more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (7/2 +13%) Pfingstberg |
7/2(+13%) | (5) Pfingstberg 7/2, Promising sort. Below form seventh of 14 in handicap (9/2) at Thirsk (12f, soft) when last seen in September. Perhaps this step up in trip will help unlock some improvement and, if so, he could have a big part to play. 0-8 but he looks interesting at this new trip and needs watching in market on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (66/1 -32%) Miss Tiki |
66/1(-32%) | (11) Miss Tiki 66/1, Thirteen runs since last win in 2021. 33/1, last of 12 in handicap at Brighton (9.9f, good) 12 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Just one win from 19 starts and she's struggled in both runs for new yard; lots to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (16/1 +0%) Central City |
16/1(+0%) | (6) Central City 16/1, Course winner. 10/1, sixth of 7 in handicap at Southwell (14.1f). Off 112 days and he's likely to find a few of these too strong. Last win was in 2022 and was in rear in three runs for new yard this winter; opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (40/1 -100%) Be Fair |
40/1(-100%) | (1) Be Fair 40/1, 50/1, first run since leaving Tony Carroll when twelfth of 13 in handicap at Kempton (12f) 22 days ago. Likely he needed that following 13 months off but others make more appeal here all the same. In good form last winter but he struggled on his comeback last month; something to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (9/1 -64%) Foinix |
9/1(-64%) | (7) Foinix 9/1, Course winner. One win from 21 Flat runs. Respectable 6¼ lengths third of 7 to Socialist Agenda in handicap at Southwell (16.5f, 5/1) 23 days ago. Will be a threat if the first-time blinkers have the desired effect. Record of 1-21 and he's been well held last twice; new headgear is now tried back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (40/1 +0%) Persian Wolf |
40/1(+0%) | (9) Persian Wolf 40/1, Course winner. Two wins from 43 Flat runs. Sixth of 10 in handicap at Southwell (11.1f, 40/1) 20 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Up in trip and visor back on. Has generally struggled since November and he's untried at this trip; opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (10/1 +60%) Qeyaady |
10/1(+60%) | (10) Qeyaady 10/1, Twenty-one runs since sole win back in 2021. Tenth of 12 in handicap (12/1) at Brighton (9.9f, good) 12 days ago, missing break. Significantly up in trip and needs to get back on track. Sole win was in 2021 and he's been out of sorts under both codes in last three runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (16/1 -33%) Henry The Fifth |
16/1(-33%) | (8) Henry The Fifth 16/1, One win from 28 Flat runs. Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. Fourth of 11 in handicap (100/1) at Southwell (14.1f) 20 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Fair effort on his 1m6f comeback last month but a strike-rate of 1-29 is off-putting. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
PFINGSTBERG showed promise on a number of occasions last season without getting his head in front and the four-year-old, who disappointed on his final start at Thirsk in September, could have more to offer stepping up in trip. Socialist Agenda went up 4lb for his Southwell victory last month and is respected along with the third from that contest, Foinix, who may get closer to that rival in first-time blinkers. Merry Minister's recent third here also gives him valid claims.
PFINGSTBERG was below par on his final start of 2023 but he otherwise didn't do a great deal wrong in several handicaps at around 1½m and shapes as though this stiffer test will be right up his street. David Simcock's charge is taken to deservedly open his account, perhaps at the chief expense of Foinix, who was behind Socialist Agenda at Southwell last time but enjoys a handy pull at the weights with that rival. Merry Minister is also likely to be on the premises.
Most of these have something to prove but SOCIALIST AGENDA scored in smooth style at Southwell and can follow up off 4lb higher here.

1st (7) (15/8 +66%) Pandora's Gift |
15/8(+66%) | (7) Pandora's Gift 15/8, Promising sort. Won novices over C&D and at Southwell before making an impressive winning start to her handicap career over 6f at Lingfield on Good Friday. More to come and can take the step up to listed level in her stride. Won her last three, including impressive win on Good Friday; this tougher but unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (20/1 -167%) Tazara |
20/1(-167%) | (10) Tazara 20/1, Fairly useful form in France, winning 8-runner maiden at Deauville (6f, heavy) on reappearance 22 days ago. This a rise in class and the outside stall doesn't make her life any easier. French win last month (6f, heavy) not working out; best watched from the widest stall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (5/2 +25%) Jabaara |
5/2(+25%) | (4) Jabaara 5/2, Useful 2-y-o form, notably 3 lengths sixth of 11 to Porta Fortuna in Cheveley Park Stakes (40/1) at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) on final start. Makes polytrack debut. Has the form to be bang there. Not beaten far in a Group 1 when last seen; good chance if that wasn't a fluke. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (12) (12/1 +0%) Ziggy's Dream |
12/1(+0%) | (12) Ziggy's Dream 12/1, Fairly useful filly. 7/1, career best when winning 9-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (6f) on reappearance 19 days ago, readily. Makes polytrack debut. Won well at Wolverhampton on her return; not as much to find as BHA ratings might indicate. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (3/1 -20%) Soprano |
3/1(-20%) | (9) Soprano 3/1, Useful filly. 3¼ lengths seventh of 11 to Porta Fortuna in Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket (6f, good to firm, 9/2) when last seen in September (had wind surgery since). Well drawn on return. Much respected for last year's winning connections. Beaten 5 times after winning 2yo debut but that doesn't tell the whole tale; had wind op. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (14/1 -180%) Queen Of Mougins |
14/1(-180%) | (8) Queen Of Mougins 14/1, Successful debut at Newbury last August. 2½ lengths fourth of 12 to Juniper Berries in 6f Salisbury Group 3 3 weeks later. This lightly-raced filly from a top stable surely has more to offer after only 2 starts. 4th in Group 3 just three weeks after a winning debut; unexposed; yard yet to hit top gear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (80/1 -60%) Boann |
80/1(-60%) | (1) Boann 80/1, Fairly useful filly. Latest win at Kempton in November. Fourth of 6 in handicap (17/2) at Southwell (5f) on reappearance 32 days ago. Back up in trip. Blinkers on first time. Plenty of improvement needed. Two AW wins as a 2yo but held in Class 4 handicap on return; now blinkered; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (50/1 -79%) Lady Pink Rose |
50/1(-79%) | (5) Lady Pink Rose 50/1, Fairly useful filly. 6¾ lengths sixth of 9 to Ziggy's Dream in handicap (12/1) at Wolverhampton (6f) on reappearance 19 days ago. Makes polytrack debut. Plenty to find on form. Had some fair 5f form as a 2yo; needs to step up on last month's return to action though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (10/1 +44%) Miss Black Jack |
10/1(+44%) | (6) Miss Black Jack 10/1, Useful filly. 7/2, career best when winning 14-runner handicap at Dundalk (6f) 27 days ago, quickening clear. Capable of making an impact at a higher level on that evidence. Big improver since switched to AW, routing rivals in a minor Dundalk handicap latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (200/1 -150%) Court Drive |
200/1(-150%) | (2) Court Drive 200/1, Winning debut at Wolverhampton (7f) last month but well held over 6f there on Monday. Surely out of her depth here. Sprung 50-1 surprise on last month's debut (7f); well held over 6f on Monday; no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (40/1 -371%) Works Of Art |
40/1(-371%) | (11) Works Of Art 40/1, AW novice winner at 2. Much improved when second in Redcar 2-y-o Trophy in October. Had an excuse (got stuck behind a weakening rival) when well held in Newmarket listed final start. Ran well in the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar but other form leaves her with a bit to find. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.
JABAARA was far from disgraced when finishing sixth in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket in September. The ratings suggest that Roger Varian's filly holds leading claims on her seasonal reappearance and she may be able to fend off Soprano, who finished just behind the selection in seventh that day. The daughter of Starspangledbanner has since undergone a wind operation and she isn't taken lightly, while the progressive Pandora's Gift cannot be ruled out in her quest to land a four-timer.
It was hard not be impressed by the way PANDORA'S GIFT spreadeagled her field in a Lingfield handicap over Easter and she can take the next step up the ladder now. Soprano has the inside stall and is feared most for the same owner/trainer combination as last year's winner Believing. Queen of Mougins and Jabaara complete the shortlist.
Soprano has to enter the reckoning but Pandora's Gift and ZIGGY'S DREAM are interesting alternatives from the handicap ranks.

1st (8) (15/2 +25%) Temple Bruer |
15/2(+25%) | (8) Temple Bruer 15/2, Eighth of 10 in handicap at Southwell (6f, 15/2) on reappearance 35 days ago. Could be sharper with that run behind him. Lurking on a dangerous mark. Dropped in the weights and should come on for his reappearance; Rossa Ryan booked; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (7/2 +30%) Dubai Station |
7/2(+30%) | (6) Dubai Station 7/2, C&D winner. 15/2, first run since leaving Mike Murphy & Michael Keady when good second of 10 in handicap at Yarmouth (5f, good to firm) 19 days ago back with a former yard. Big player here if building on that. Good second on first run back with R Cowell (5f, turf); good mark but often slowly away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (4/1 +56%) Sir Oliver |
4/1(+56%) | (3) Sir Oliver 4/1, Course winner. Latest win at Lingfield in November. Eleventh of 12 in handicap at this course (7f, 14/1) 19 days ago. Return to sprinting may help but others are still preferred. On a winning mark but he's yet to shine in 2024; enough to prove for now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/3 +56%) The Thames Boatman |
10/3(+56%) | (2) The Thames Boatman 10/3, All 4 wins on AW, the latest at Lingfield (6f) under Finley Marsh in March. Pulled too hard under a 7 lb claimer at Kempton since and can do better with Marsh back in the saddle. Might need things to drop right from the outside stall but still respected. Progressing prior to a low-key run at Kempton last month; needs a full revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (14/1 +44%) Gustav Graves |
14/1(+44%) | (9) Gustav Graves 14/1, 4 wins from 10 runs this year. 20/1, 4¾ lengths sixth of 7 to Laoisman in handicap at Wolverhampton (6f) 24 days ago. He's had a fine winter but high in the weights as a result; well behind Laoisman latest. |

11/1(-10%) | (4) Above 11/1, C&D winner. Off 12 weeks, shaped as if needing run when ninth of 14 in handicap at Newmarket (5f, good, 16/1) 16 days ago. Back on a winning mark. Two C&D wins to his name; on a winning mark but needs to step up on latest Newmarket run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (9/2 +40%) Regal Envoy |
9/2(+40%) | (7) Regal Envoy 9/2, Pair of wins last autumn. 12/1, creditable second of 9 in handicap at this course (5f) in November. Peak fitness has to be taken on trust after 175 days off. Did well last year & final run, when 2nd over 5f here, was a career best; absent 175 days. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (16/1 +36%) Rebel Path |
16/1(+36%) | (5) Rebel Path 16/1, Seventh of 12 in handicap (25/1) at Kempton (6f) 26 days ago. Tongue strap on first time. Hard to make a case for on his efforts since coming to Britain. Dropped 7lb after two low-key handicap runs this spring; now tried in a tongue-tie. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
LAOISMAN resumed his progress when scoring a shade cosily on his reappearance at Wolverhampton last month. A 3lb rise in the ratings looks far from insurmountable for the Night Of Thunder gelding and a fourth consecutive victory looks on the horizon. Having posted a close-up second on his stable bow at Yarmouth in April, the biggest threat may emerge from Dubai Station. This drop in class should suit Sir Oliver and he also enters calculations now back off his last winning mark.
A further 3 lb nudge from the handicapper doesn't look enough to prevent LAOISMAN making it 4 wins in a row. Dubai Station was a good second at Yarmouth last month and is feared most ahead of The Thames Boatman, who can have a line put through his latest Kempton effort and won nicely at Lingfield prior to that.
The claims of LAOISMAN (nap) are obvious having won his last three starts. The form of his Wolverhampton win last month looks strong.

16/5(+29%) | (1) Northcliff 16/5, One win from 28 Flat runs. Winner at Wolverhampton in February. 4/1, good third of 9 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 10 days ago. Can figure again from a handy draw. 7f AW win in February and he's followed that with three solid 6f runs; contender. |

2nd (4) (5/1 +29%) Daytona Lady |
5/1(+29%) | (4) Daytona Lady 5/1, C&D winner. Latest win at Wolverhampton in January. 17/2, respectable fourth of 10 in C&D handicap 14 days ago, not ideally placed. Has fallen to a workable mark. Not seen to best effect here two weeks ago; has the ability to feature off this mark. |

11/2(+39%) | (2) Blackjack 11/2, C&D winner in February. Eighth of 9 in handicap (7/1) at Southwell (6f) 21 days ago. Tongue strap on first time. Needs to bounce back from 3 lesser efforts. C&D win in February stacks up well; gone off the boil more recently; down in class. |

6th (7) (9/2 -35%) Sir Rodneyredblood |
9/2(-35%) | (7) Sir Rodneyredblood 9/2, Three-time C&D winner, the latest in December. 7/2, creditable second of 10 in C&D handicap 14 days ago. Well drawn. Seven course wins, the latest in December; good second last time; should give his running. |

7th (5) (16/1 -129%) Thismydream |
16/1(-129%) | (5) Thismydream 16/1, Two wins from 41 Flat runs. Latest win at Wolverhampton in March. Creditable second of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (6f) 22 days ago. Poor strike-rate but he ran well at Lingfield last time and is fully effective around here. |

8th (3) (15/2 -50%) Lilkian |
15/2(-50%) | (3) Lilkian 15/2, C&D winner. Shaped better than result when fifth of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (6f) 22 days ago, making good headway before flattening out late on. Back on a good mark. On a good mark and latest Lingfield fifth can be upgraded; respected back into Class 6. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD hit the crossbar off this mark over course and distance a couple of weeks ago and the seven-year-old merits plenty of respect on the back of that performance. Northcliff has not been beaten far on either of his last two starts and could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Thismydream and Man On A Mission are others with valid form claims.
A chance is taken on LILKIAN who has dipped to a good mark and shaped better than the result at Lingfield last time. Daytona Lady is another who is starting to look well handicapped again and is second choice ahead of Northcliff and Sir Rodneyredblood.
Northcliff should give it another good go but LILKIAN is handicapped to win and his latest Lingfield run was promising.

11/2(-38%) | (6) Cogsworth 11/2, 13/2, creditable close second of 8 in handicap at this course (6f) 14 days ago. Back up in trip. Can figure prominently again. Good second over 6f here two weeks ago; chance if able to reproduce it over longer trip. |

12/1(+0%) | (2) Garden View 12/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 80/1, fifth of 8 in handicap at this course (6f) 21 days ago. The return to 7f should suit her. Lacked the pace to get competitive over 6f on handicap debut here three weeks ago. |

3rd (5) (9/4 +0%) Amroon |
9/4(+0%) | (5) Amroon 9/4, Course winner in November. 2/1, good second of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) 9 days ago. Should go well off the same mark. Course win last year; good second over 7f last week; solid claims off the same mark. |

4th (3) (15/2 +46%) Katie G |
15/2(+46%) | (3) Katie G 15/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable seventh of 13 in handicap (16/1) at Kempton (7f) on reappearance 15 days ago. Should be sharper for the outing. No immediate improvement for handicapping at Kempton last month (7f); still early days. |

5th (9) (16/1 -60%) War Zone |
16/1(-60%) | (9) War Zone 16/1, Poor form. Cheekpieces on first time, best run this year when fourth of 8 in handicap at this course (6f, 40/1) 14 days ago. Remains to be seen if he backs that up. Some promise, despite looking a hard ride, here (6f) last time; could yet do better. |

6th (11) (22/1 +33%) Dash Power |
22/1(+33%) | (11) Dash Power 22/1, Poor form. 14/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) 9 days ago. Third over C&D last month but less good at Wolverhampton twice since. |

7th (4) (4/1 +11%) Ocean Bliss |
4/1(+11%) | (4) Ocean Bliss 4/1, Reached the frame again when creditable fourth of 12 in handicap (7/1) at Windsor (1m, good to firm) 10 days ago. Likely to be in the shake-up once more. 0-9 but she's been threatening and her latest turf fourth came in a better race; respected. |

8th (1) (7/1 -56%) Little White Dove |
7/1(-56%) | (1) Little White Dove 7/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 12/1, second of 4 in maiden at this course (5f) 21 days ago. Significantly up in trip for handicap debut. Draw not ideal but still on the shortlist for an in-form yard with a good record here. Seemed to run well over 5f here latest; new trip/switch to handicaps could spark more. |

9th (7) (28/1 +15%) Moreginplease |
28/1(+15%) | (7) Moreginplease 28/1, Remains a maiden after 17 starts. Ninth of 11 in handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW, 22/1) 27 days ago. Others are preferred. Form has dipped of late; return to 7f can help but she has too much to prove for comfort. |

10th (8) (16/1 +0%) Si Si La Bonne |
16/1(+0%) | (8) Si Si La Bonne 16/1, 17/2, below form sixth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) 19 days ago. First-time cheekpieces need to have a positive effect. Shown some promise around Wolverhampton; cheekpieces now tried; widest draw to overcome. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (25/1 -56%) Clionia |
25/1(-56%) | (10) Clionia 25/1, Poor maiden. Sixth of 8 in handicap at Catterick (7f, soft, 14/1) 8 days ago but had finished second over this C&D prior to that. Second over C&D last month but even that form not good enough; well held on turf since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
AMROON put in an encouraging effort when filling second place on his return to action over 7f at Wolverhampton nine days ago and Marco Botti's gelding is hard to oppose as a result. Little White Dove has improved with every start to date and has to be of some interest on her handicap debut, while Cogsworth edges out Ocean Bliss to be the pick of the rest.
AMROON was attempting 7f for the first time when runner-up at Wolverhampton last week and is taken to build on that and go one better now. Ocean Bliss has been knocking on the door recently and should figure again, while Little White Dove brings unexposed potential to this handicap debut for an in-form stable.
Ocean Bliss is high on the list but AMROON, a course winner, gets the vote after last week's good second at Wolverhampton.
Ths is the racecard key.
