14:15 Catterick Maiden (Class 5) 5f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The relatively experienced Nala Star was last seen finishing fourth over 5f at Lingfield last month and, provided the application of cheekpieces has the desired effect, she should be competitive once more. That said, BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU edges preference. Ben Haslam's charge pulled clear of the third when finishing runner-up to a potentially useful sort over 5f at Hamilton latest and, with the promise of more to come, she may prove tough to stop. Of the newcomers, Desert Eye appeals most.

NALA STAR may have found her Lingfield race coming too soon a week on from a good effort at Bath and given a break and fitted with headgear, she is given the tentative nod. Beaujolais Nouveau and Montana Girl look the main threats.

The vote goes to BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU, who was a clear second behind an odds-on rival at Hamilton last time.

14:45 Catterick Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This could be a straightforward task for FLIGHT RADAR, who was last seen running out a ready winner over 7f at Redcar last month and should be tough to stop with a reproduction of that effort. This step back to 7f can help Man Of A'An be seen to better effect and he is fancied to complete the forecast, while the unexposed Zousca is also respected, though handicaps may await for her.

Not only have connections of FLIGHT RADAR picked up a bargain at just £1,000 but they have also found a gilt-edged opening for him to supplement his Redcar win. Man of A'an will probably win the battle for second out of handicap company.

Karl Burke could not have found a weaker race for his Redcar winner FLIGHT RADAR to carry a penalty.

15:15 Catterick Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ALICE'S IMPACT (second) got the better of Elettaria (third) when the pair met over an extended 7f at Beverley recently and, off an unchanged mark, the former gets the vote to confirm her superiority over that rival en route to victory this time around. Rain Cap can be forgiven his recent low key effort over C&D after stumbling when leaving the stalls and he merits respect off a tumbling mark.

RAIN CAP stumbled early when below form last time but he has an excellent course record overall and, with the headgear changed again, he's worth chancing. Alice's Impact is going the right way and looks the main threat, while Elettaria can make her presence felt if they go hard up front.

Most of these find winning hard. ALICE'S IMPACT has been admirably consistent since handicapping and makes the most appeal.

15:50 Catterick Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

John Kirkup reaches the milestone of his 100th career start and appeals for a place at least based on his resurgent recent form. However, this trip does appear to stretch him to the limit and it would come as no surprise to see previous C&D winner VARIETY ISLAND spoil the party, with the forecast ground conditions set to be ideal. Desert Dream has a similar profile and is another suggestion for the shortlist, while Golden Gal is weighted to go well if her stamina holds out.

DOOMSDAY arrives in form and could be perked up by the first-time blinkers, so he's preferred to John Kirkup and Desert Dream in an open-looking contest.

Most of these have something to prove but JOHN KIRKUP is in good form and he gets the vote on this step back up in trip.

16:25 Catterick Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The in-form Jamih will likely be a popular choice as he bids to complete a quickfire hat-trick after wins over 1m4f both here and at Thirsk over the last three weeks. However, he was a well-held fifth in this race last year and again looks vulnerable over this trip. With that in mind, the much less exposed LADY PHOEBE looks worth chancing on the basis of having more to offer on just her fifth start in a handicap. Can Can Girl and Twoforthegutter complete the shortlist.

AMBASSADOR has been in good order over hurdles and looks nicely handicapped back in this sphere, so a chance is taken on him. Jamih and Twoforthegutter fought out the finish over 1m4f here three weeks ago and that pair are likely to be involved once again.

An open race in which the vote goes to 3yo LADY PHOEBE, who went very close at Hamilton and is open to more progress at this new trip.

16:55 Catterick Handicap (Class 4) 5f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Glory Fighter, Spring Is Sprung and Night On Earth are all capable of setting warm fractions and this is likely to be fast and furious as a result. However, a strong tempo could set things up nicely for three-time C&D winner ALBEGONE, who is a highly appealing option running off a mark 2lb below the last of those successes. Ready Freddie Go also adds some spice on the back of his Thirsk triumph and can figure if the blinkers have the same impact second time around.

READY FREDDIE GO reacted well to blinkers when opening his account for the season at Thirsk last time and he's worth a chance to follow up for all that Spring Is Sprung looks a formidable threat. Albegone is well treated if he can get back on track returned to a course where he boasts a good record.

This could set up for a closer and the vote goes to ALBEGONE, who is now 2lb lower than for his smooth win over C&D in May.

17:30 Catterick Handicap (Class 6) 6f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PROFITEER has produced two solid efforts to hit the crossbar in this grade the last twice and is only 2lb higher than for the latest of those displays at Thirsk. The son of Profitable has proven to be a consistent performer this year and he gets the nod. Gis A Sub was far from disgraced in third at Nottingham eight days ago and should remain competitive off the same mark, while Howzak is another to note after his third at Chepstow.

PROFITEER went down only to an improving 3-y-o at Thirsk last time and might prove the answer to the first division of this 6f handicap. Paul Midgley's Gis A Sub is feared most ahead of Eldeyaar, who arrives in form from AW and was successful over C&D just under a year ago.

Top of the list is the 3yo PROFITEER (nap), who has form figures of 3312522 in handicaps and is still unexposed at this trip.

18:00 Catterick Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

RAINBOW RAIN attempted to make every yard of the running but was denied by just under a length into second over track and trip last time. Tracy Waggott's five-year-old competes off the same rating and he could be the one to beat. Malham Tarn Cove made the frame at this level at Bath last month and he should go well off an unchanged mark, while Obligatory is another to consider as he steps back into handicap company.

RAINBOW RAIN is more consistent than the majority at this level and can deservedly get his head back in front. Highjacked has a win and second to his name over C&D this year and may give Tracy Waggott's charge most to do ahead of Malham Tarn Cove.

Preference is for MALHAM TARN COVE, who was as good as ever with his strong-finishing third over a shorter trip at Bath last time.
