18:25 Catterick Maiden (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MILITARY GIRL didn't do herself any favours when slowly into stride on debut at Leicester, but the way she finished her race was highly encouraging, and the third has come out and since won impressively. With normal improvement expected, Michael Dods' youngster can break the maiden at the expense of Harswell Dandy and Sonic Si, who have gone well on all three career outings. Henry's Rose is one to monitor for market support, hailing from a yard that can ready one first time out.

This looks an open goal for MILITARY GIRL judged on her promising debut effort. Newcomer Henry's Rose's profile doesn't jump off the page, but she may pose a threat if the market speaks in her favour.

This looks a good opportunity for MILITARY GIRL to confirm the promise of her Leicester debut.

18:55 Catterick Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The key to this race could be the recent clash at Nottingham between DANDY FITZ (second) and Piper's Fort (third), with Tim Easterby's charge taken to get off the mark now. The son of Dandy Man has since run with credit at Redcar and it may be Tees Douge who gives him the most to think about on his return to the turf. Unexposed handicap debutant Port And Starburd is capable of being in the shake-up as well.

DANDY FITZ has made a pleasing start to this season and Tim Easterby's gelding can get off the mark in a winnable contest. Handicap-newcomer Port And Starburd and Yiengaa complete the shortlist.

Yiengaa can go well back on slower ground but handicap debutante PORT AND STARBURD has the look of a likely improver.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

19:25 Catterick Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LORD TORRANAGA may not exactly be a winning machine on the turf but his most recent effort over C&D, when third behind a winner who has scored again since, sets the standard. The evergreen nine-year-old was highly consistent last year and he gets the vote ahead of old rival Sugarpiehoneybunch. Perfect Arch could find improvement on his first start for new connections.

LORD TORRANAGA hasn't won for some time but is a more consistent operator than plenty in this grade and looks to have found a decent opportunity to resume winning ways. Sugarpiehoneybunch ran close to her best at Ripon last time and can pose the biggest threat ahead of Peripeteia.

Judged on recent form and other factors, SUGARPIEHONEYBUNCH (narrowly preferred) and Lord Torranaga hold the strongest claims.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

19:55 Catterick Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SEANTRABH was not beaten far when fourth in a similar event at Thirsk last time and the son of Tasleet merits plenty of respect off a 1lb lower mark here. Glory Fighter, who claimed this prize last year, should appreciate an ease in grade and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Punchbowl Flyer and Albegone are others who can go well.

SEANTRABH wasn't beaten far in a hotter contest than this last time and he was successful on his only previous visit to the track, so he's the one to side with in the hope that he can make all. Albegone is one to consider on the back of a mildly encouraging return and Glory Fighter is another one dropping in grade.

Conditions will suit SEANTRABH (nap) and he can build on the promise of his recent fourth at Thirsk.

20:25 Catterick Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DUSK DAME was second in a similar event over C&D in April and it would be no surprise to see Alice Haynes' filly go one better here. Rapido Girl took a step forward when fifth at Doncaster last time and remains open to further progression, while Obligatory is another with valid form claims. Any market support for Hachiko would have to be noted.

This is undoubtedly a weak affair and Hachiko is quite well related/speedily bred, so she's worth chancing to make a winning start if the market speaks in her favour. Obligatory has the best form to date but needs to bounce back, while Royal Justice may yet be capable of better.

Royal Justice is high on the list but RAPIDO GIRL can continue to progress as she gains experience.

21:00 Catterick Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LANGHOLM has been running well in defeat all year and was only beaten a head into second over 7f at this venue last week. The veteran is 3lb well-in here and is hard to oppose as a result. Mister Sox has also been knocking on the door of late so has to be of some interest. Wreck It Ryley and Harry's Halo complete the shortlist.

WRECK IT RYLEY ran a cracker when runner-up in a higher band of handicap 3 weeks ago, and from the same mark in refitted headgear, he has plenty in his favour. Langholm has been on a frustrating losing run but he certainly arrives in good nick, with Mister Sox likely to give it another good go.

Langholm can go well again but dropping in trip could see MISTER SOX get off the mark for the season.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
