This looks like an ideal opportunity for JIMMY CHOU PECOS AA to finally get off the mark, having placed on six of his last eight starts. Stepping back up in trip looks like a good move and he gets the vote ahead of Shantwopointfive, who was a promising second on her hurdles bow at Fontwell recently. Dunbulcan Bay and Wise Move are capable of being in the shake-up as well.
Form pick JIMMY CHOU PECOS AA made a good start for his new handler when runner-up at Down Royal and can go one better reverted to this sphere. Dan Skelton's Dunbulcan Bay rates a big threat though if, as expected, building on his debut Ffos Las third, with Shantwopointfive also in the picture.
Preference is for four-time Irish point winner WISE MOVE who makes a quick reappearance after a good second at Hexham on Tuesday.

MERMAIDS CAVE has gone from strength to strength since joining the James Owen stable and a 7lb rise for her most recent success at Fontwell could prove lenient. The five-year-old is likely to be suited by the idiosyncracies of this track, and it may be Carrigeen Kampala that gives her the most to think about on her first run since scoring easily at Newton Abbot last September. Now that the penny has dropped for Tour Ovalie, she should have more improvement forthcoming.
An interesting event. SHE'S A SAINT's opening mark looks lenient based on her novice form and, with her top yard more than capable of readying one after an absence, she earns the vote. Tour Ovalie and Mermaids Cave head the opposition.
Dan Skelton's SHE'S A SAINT has fitness to prove but some of her novice form from the 2022-23 season reads very well.

FORTUNA LIGNA deservedly regained the winning thread at Perth last month and under similar conditions here, she looks well capable of following up off a 4lb higher mark. The seven-year-old remains unexposed over this distance and she may have too much for Our Laura B, who goes up in distance after staying on well for fourth over 2m4f at Sedgefield. Similar comments apply to Musselburgh second Lady Mendoza, whose pedigree offers encouragement for this trip.
LADY MENDOZA shaped well behind a likeable mare at Musselburgh on her most recent outing in November and looks sure to benefit from the longer trip, so she's taken to go one better. Fortuna Ligna was suited by the increase in trip at Perth and can go well again from a 4 lb higher mark, with Sinndarella not taken lightly, also.
The pick is OUR LAURA B, who is back down to a good mark and moves back up to a staying trip after a pleasing 2m4f reappearance run.

TOMMIE BEAU struggled in a tougher handicap last time but has a shout back in this lower grade. Seamus Mullins' charge, who landed a double on testing ground at the end of last year before failing to complete in the Scottish Grand National, gets a confident vote. Coqolino failed to win over fences in Ireland and has recently switched yards, while Flic Ou Voyou may prove best of the rest.
With the ground likely to dry up, CHARLIE UBERALLES is fancied to take advantage of a potentially handy mark. Tommie Beau struggled in the Scottish National 5 weeks ago but he's a likeable type and should bounce back in this much less demanding race.
Confidence in TOMMIE BEAU would be higher over a marathon trip but he's the one with least to prove here.

Playful Saint overcame a bad blunder when scoring at Hexham on his chasing bow, although this shorter trip is not certain to suit. The headstrong Salamanca Bay ran out of steam in the closing stages when runner-up at Ayr last month while El Muchacho is upped in class for this and so a chance is taken on TEDTWO. Progressive over hurdles, Ben Haslam's charge should go close if taking to the larger obstacles and gets the vote on his handicap debut.
An interesting race. PLAYFUL SAINT did well to come back for more having sat close to a strong pace when striking on his Hexham chase debut so he might be able to cope with a 4 lb rise. El Muchacho could be the one to give him most to do in a contest where a case can be made for all 5.
Headstrong front-runner SALAMANCA BAY ended last season in good form and might seize control from an early stage here.

However, BIG BEE HIVE has won two of only three starts so far over the larger obstacles, having scored at Southwell earlier in the month, and this extra test of stamina promises to bring out further progression. Hurdles winner Shillanavogy tries his luck over fences and makes more appeal than Fast Deal.
Irish raider O'FAOLAINS GLORY looks fairly treated on the back of her recent winning chase debut at Downpatrick and can follow up. Big Bee Hive and Fast Deal should also go well.
Topweight O'FAOLAINS GLORY (nap) looked a natural chaser when dominating from the front at Downpatrick two weeks ago and appeals most.

But the latter has shown the most progress of the pair and remains unbeaten over fences following an easy success Stratford earlier this month. My Gift To You is still improving and is preferred to Zumbi and Tom Creen of the remainder.
VILLAGE MASTER has been a revelation since switched to chasing and there's even more to come, so he's preferred to My Gift To You and Tom Creen.
Top of the list is admirably consistent 9yo TOM CREEN, who benefits from Tom Broughton's useful 5lb claim today.
