14:25 Brighton Stakes (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ALFRED COVE has been consistent of late and, as his only previous win came over an extended 5f here, the five-year-old has a lot going for him in his bid to gain a belated second career success. Battleofbaltimore hinted at a revival last time out and can go close again with another step forward, while Rebel Redemption ran well for a long way over 7f here last week and is also a key player dropping back down in trip.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and this looks a good opportunity for BATTLEOFBALTIMORE to gain his breakthrough success now he returns to 6f following a solid fourth over the minimum trip at Bath. Rebel Redemption could emerge as the main danger if building on his recent third here, with the handily-weighted Alfred Covr also in the mix if back on song.

This looks a good opportunity for ALFRED COVE to double his winning tally. He is favoured by these terms and his sole win came here.

14:55 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A dual winner over 7f here in June, SHAW PARK has been in the form of his life and, with the return to a mile not expected to be an issue, the Scott Dixon-trained gelding is a strong fancy to round out a three-timer under a 5lb penalty. Course specialist Uncle Dick is feared most, although Otago lurks on a competitive mark and also warrants consideration.

SHAW PARK comes here on a roll so is fancied to bag a quick course hat-trick at the chief expense of fellow course specialist Uncle Dick who didn't enjoy the rub of the green when fifth over C&D last time. Dequinto appeals as the pick of the remainder for minor honours.

This may be best left to SHAW PARK who can complete a course hat-trick, with the return to this trip not expected to be an issue.

15:25 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

After a successful weekend, this could be a good time to stick with Cieren Fallon as the rider is reunited with C&D winner BLENHEIM STAR. Fallon was in the saddle aboard William Knight's filly for that victory last month and the partnership has a solid chance back at this venue. Blacklion looks the chief danger, with Interestnpenalties suggested as the pick of the remainder.

BLENHEIM STAR wasn't at her best when seventh at Bath last time after a busy spell but she remains on a workable mark and is fancied to bounce back in style. George Baker's new recruit Blacklion could emerge as the chief threat to William Knight's C&D scorer ahead of Make A Scene.

A trappy handicap in which BLENHEIM STAR is tentatively selected to bounce back from a quiet run at Bath last month.

15:55 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CORPORATE RAIDER (second) was narrowly denied by the reopposing Chourmo (first) when the pair met in a classified event over C&D two starts ago and, despite the former being 3lb worse off this time around, he showed a likeable attitude when making all over 1m4f here most recently and would be dangerous to overlook in his current mood. Fellow last-time-out winner Bhubezi completes the shortlist upped 4lb for winning over a mile at Chepstow, even though this step back up in trip asks a question of him.

Silvestre De Sousa is an eye-catching booking for LUCKY QUESTION, who acquitted himself well on several occasions in competitive handicaps in Ireland and looks on a decent mark on debut for his new yard here. Corporate Raider and Chourmo can also make their presence felt.

The vote goes to CHOURMO whose record over C&D reads 131 and who is weighted to confirm last month's running with Corporate Raider.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LADY WINGALONG was the subject of significant market support when going down narrowly in a Lingfield handicap over 7f last month, travelling well for a long way before finding one rival too good. Off just 2lb higher, her supporters can reap the rewards for keeping the faith. A 4lb penalty for a recent victory over a mile here doesn't discount Kondratiev Wave, while Porterinthejungle benefitted from the reapplication of a hood (retained) when scoring over 7f at Chepstow last time and she also enters calculations.

PORTERINTHEJUNGLE has dropped to a handy mark and bounced back to form when scoring at Chepstow last week. She may be able to follow up. Kondratiev Wave and Lady Wingalong rate the principal dangers.

Some in-form contenders on show and LADY WINGALONG appeals as the type to carry on improving for her new stable.

17:00 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

COGSWORTH readily dispatched a subsequent winner when scoring over C&D last time and, upped 6lb, he is hard to oppose in a bid to bring up a hat-trick. The unexposed Wedgewood Sapphire is a must for the shortlist after running out a decisive winner over an extended 7f at Lingfield recently. Havana Mojito hit the target over C&D when last seen and also commands respect.

COGSWORTH is on the up and won a shade cosily here last time. He can complete the hat-trick in the finale. Recent C&D winner Havana Mojito is feared most.

Preference is for COGSWORTH (nap) who did it well over C&D last time and is taken to complete the hat-trick.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK.
