100/1(-203%) | (7) Miss Cast 100/1, Once-raced maiden. 16/1, 6¼ lengths sixth of 7 to Bacor in maiden at Ripon (5f, good) on debut 16 days ago. 16-1, never looked like getting to grips with Bacor on 5f debut at Ripon 16 days ago. |

250/1(-25%) | (4) Aurora's Doublesix 250/1, Twice-raced maiden. 200/1, last of 13 in minor event at Thirsk (6f, good) 19 days ago. Big prices and has failed to beat a rival in two Thirsk runs, at 5f and 6f. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
PERFECT PART caused an upset when winning the Hilary Needler at odds of 125/1 last month. Maw Lam (second) was an excellent third in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot next time and Aviation Time (third) occupied the same position in the Windsor Castle, suggesting it was no fluke. Brian Ellison's charge can follow up under a penalty. Bacor must also shoulder a penalty having scored at Ripon recently and she is the main danger, while market support for debutant Neytiri Te Tskaha would be interesting.
PERFECT PART caused a surprise when going in at 125/1 on her debut over C&D but there was no fulke at all about it and she can follow up at the chief expense of Karl Burke's newcomer Neytiri Te Tskaha who is well worth a market check. Ripon-scorer Bacor and York-third Raison d'Etre appeal as the pick of the rest for the minor honours.
Bacor took a healthy step forward at Ripon but the form doesn't match up to what PERFECT PART achieved when winning her C&D debut.

4/1(+33%) | (1) Ventura Express 4/1, 1 win from 2 runs this year. Latest win at Pontefract in May. Below form ninth of 16 in handicap at Thirsk (5f, good, 25/1) 19 days ago but took this in 2022 so no surprise to see him bounce back. Won this race in 2022; game effort at Pontefract on return & this is easier than last time. |

33/1(-450%) | (2) Good Earth 33/1, C&D winner. 5/1, fifth of 8 in handicap at Redcar (5f, good to firm) 13 days ago, nearest finish. Not ruled out. Conditions will suit and on a good mark; not ideally drawn but one to keep an eye on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (22/1 -450%) Emeralds Pride |
22/1(-450%) | (7) Emeralds Pride 22/1, 1 win from 1 run this year. Career best when winning 9-runner handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 10/1) 52 days ago, slowly away. In the mix once more. Ended 2023 in rude health and better than ever when winning over C&D on her return in May. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (40/1 -150%) Travel Candy |
40/1(-150%) | (11) Travel Candy 40/1, C&D winner. 40/1, ninth of 12 in handicap at Thirsk (5f, good to firm) 11 days ago. Uphill task at these weights. C&D winner; sharper for recent reappearance but others look better handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (66/1 -230%) Jill's Jungle |
66/1(-230%) | (10) Jill's Jungle 66/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Tongue strap on for 1st time, seventh of 8 in minor event at Ripon (6f, good to firm, 22/1) 30 days ago. Makes handicap debut with more needed. Looked a tricky ride on his reappearance; some risks involved on handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
There has been no stopping EMERALDS PRIDE since being refitted with cheekpieces last August and Michael Dods' mare could continue her ascendency despite a further 4lb hike in the ratings for her latest success at this track. Digital was touched off by a subsequent winner at Hamilton last time out and must be feared given that he is 3lb well-in. Markakol struggled in the Palace Of Holyroodhouse at Royal Ascot a fortnight ago but is an interesting contender in these much calmer waters.
DIGITAL went down only narrowly at Hamilton last time and with the winner having gone in since he looks the way to go off an unchanged mark. Khabib appeals as the main danger on the back of his good recent Thirsk second, with C&D winner Emeralds Pride and 2022 victor Ventura Express also firmly in the picture.
Digital and Khabib are ahead of the handicapper but VENTURA EXPRESS (nap) can repeat his 2022 win in this race.

Big shout on these terms. Dual handicap winner last month; hard to beat at this level if the faster ground suits. |

2nd (3) (10/1 -43%) Assessment |
10/1(-43%) | (3) Assessment 10/1, Useful in his pomp but has lost his way, tenth of 12 in handicap at Chelmsford City (8f) 15 days ago. Disappointing 5yo; benefits from ease in grade today but current ability hard to gauge. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (50/1 -567%) Beltane |
50/1(-567%) | (1) Beltane 50/1, Fair gelding. C&D winner. Ninth of 10 in handicap at Wetherby (8f, good to soft, 16/1) 24 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Michael Appleby. Close second in C&D handicap in May; below that form twice since but still considered. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (50/1 -614%) Hieloray |
50/1(-614%) | (9) Hieloray 50/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Second of 10 in maiden at Bath (8f, good, 13/2). Off 9 months. First run for yard after leaving J. S. Moore. Not taken lightly. Ended 2yo season with a good effort but it's unnerving to see him reappear in this grade. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Assessment has struggled in handicap company of late but he's worth considering dropped into a seller, while Dr Foster wasn't beaten far into eighth at Kempton last time out. The unexposed ORGANIC appeals as a more solid proposition, though, and the daughter of Land Force can regain the winning thread after coming up short in her hat-trick bid at Ripon last month.
ORGANIC was unable to complete the hat-trick under a double penalty at Bath but this looks an excellent chance for him to quickly resume winning ways down in class. Dr Foster is also down in class and is the obvious threat.
The most obvious answer is ORGANIC, who has the best chance at the weights and the least to prove on the wellbeing front.

Hood back on which will help given his good run in it at Ripon previously. One to consider. On a workable mark but tendency to race too freely remains a serious concern. |

8th (3) (100/1 -809%) Game Management |
100/1(-809%) | (3) Game Management 100/1, Gambled-on 5/1, poor fifth of 6 in handicap at Haydock (10.2f, firm) 13 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time. Yet to make an impact in handicaps; drops back in trip with blinkers tried. |

Despite not having won since his handicap debut at Redcar in May, EVELYN'S PHOENIX has held his form well in three subsequent outings, including here when chasing home This Years Love last month, and the application of first-time cheekpieces may see him reverse that form and get back in the winning groove. The hood being reapplied can aid the cause of Due Consideration, who pulled too hard at Redcar last time but would have every chance based on his runner-up effort at Ripon the time before.
THIS YEARS LOVE won in good style from Evelyn's Phoenix here 4 weeks ago and could follow up with the return to this longer trip in his favour. His old rival Evelyn's Phoenix, Due Consideration and Likleman are all in the mix.
It could be worth chancing SEAHORSE SYD, who seems to be working his way back to form and sports new headgear today.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
The tongue-tie and visor combination appeared to do the trick for Lord Warburton when causing a big surprise at 125/1 on his latest start at Pontefract. However, it remains to be seen whether he can back that performance up off a 5lb higher mark and WALTER HARTRIGHT could be the one. The son of Saxon Warrior gained a first career success over C&D last month when appreciating the switch to more positive tactics in first-time blinkers. The booking of Silvestre De Sousa, who has a fine record on front runners, further enhances his claims. Ski Jump and Grey Nyle are others to consider.
WALTER HARTRIGHT had plenty to spare when making all over C&D last time and the form has been boosted by the runner-up so, if the headgear continues to have a positive effect, he should be able to follow up. Bearaway is a big danger and Lord Warburton isn't without hope after scoring at Pontefract.
Dual winning hurdler Belle Of Annandale is respected back on the Flat but C&D winner WALTER HARTRIGHT still has some 1m4f potential.

Sold The Dream |
(9) (7/2 +36%)7/2(+36%) | (9) Sold The Dream 7/2, Thrice-raced maiden. Off 149 days/gelded. Makes handicap debut. Could do better, although bred more for sprint trips. Showed only minor promise in AW novice/maiden races; should do better in handicaps. |

3rd (5) (6/1 -100%) Queens Road Revue |
6/1(-100%) | (5) Queens Road Revue 6/1, Good second of 12 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good to firm, 25/1) 11 days ago. Took well to this trip there and leading claims. 0-7 but looked suited by step up to 7f when coming from rear for second at Thirsk recently. |

4th (2) (11/2 +31%) King Sharja |
11/2(+31%) | (2) King Sharja 11/2, Fourth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft, 15/2) 17 days ago, held up under change of tactics and nearest finish. Has a race in him from reduced mark on that showing. Kept on for modest fourth over C&D last month but generally very disappointing this year. |

5th (6) (7/2 -27%) Clotherholme |
7/2(-27%) | (6) Clotherholme 7/2, Twenty one runs since last win (here) in 2022. Gambled-on 6/4, creditable second of 10 in handicap at Ripon (8f, good to firm) 47 days ago, edged out close home having got gap only final 100 yds, looking unlucky. Good shout for all this is a bit tougher. No win since June 2022 but looked unlucky when close second at Ripon in May. |

6th (10) (40/1 -233%) Amerigo Vespucci |
40/1(-233%) | (10) Amerigo Vespucci 40/1, Winner at Yarmouth in April. 12/1, creditable third of 8 in handicap at Brighton (8f, good to firm) 32 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole. Wouldn't dismiss. Won narrowly off basement mark in April but others appeal more. |

7th (1) (20/1 -43%) Juryman |
20/1(-43%) | (1) Juryman 20/1, Unreliable individual. 25/1, tenth of 12 in handicap at Catterick (7f, good to firm) 27 days ago. Dropping in the weights. Ran okay on first two starts for stable but took a backward step last month. |

8th (4) (66/1 -100%) Vondelpark |
66/1(-100%) | (4) Vondelpark 66/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. 22/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time, eighth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 17 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Chance on old form. Regressive 4yo who has been out of form in recent months; difficult to enthuse over. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Queens Road Revue was last seen finishing a solid second in a similar event over 7f at Thirsk last month and she must be respected off an unchanged mark. That said, inconsistency continues to be the main concern with her and it may pay to side with TEES GEORGE. Adrian Nicholls' charge posted an excellent effort in defeat when finishing runner-up over a mile at Newcastle recently and, having been left on the same mark, another bold bid is anticipated. Sold The Dream also enters calculations.
QUEENS ROAD REVUE took well to 7f on her first go at the trip at Thirsk last week and could open her account now. Course winner Clotherholme was unlucky not to end a long losing run at Ripon and should put matters right soon. Tees George is another to consider.
One with some potential is SOLD THE DREAM, who might be seen to better effect now handicapping at a low level on turf.

2nd (4) (5/1 -11%) Howard's Choice |
5/1(-11%) | (4) Howard's Choice 5/1, 7/1, eighth of 12 in handicap at Redcar (7f, good) 46 days ago, finishing with running left. Hood on 1st time. Down the weights and has been shaping up well, so worth taking a chance on. Didn't get much luck at Redcar and he still has potential; in the mix with hood added. |

3rd (8) (7/2 -115%) Oceanic Wonder |
7/2(-115%) | (8) Oceanic Wonder 7/2, Good third of 11 in handicap at Wetherby (8f, good to soft, 15/2) 24 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Has to be taken seriously. Good third at Wetherby last time and she's a key player back in trip; cheekpieces added. |

4th (5) (16/1 -100%) Vintage Love |
16/1(-100%) | (5) Vintage Love 16/1, 28/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at Wetherby (7f, good to soft) 24 days ago, not clear run. Hasn't been firing this term but mark is sliding at least. 11-race maiden who has been well held in her four runs this season; opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (100/1 -1233%) Elettaria |
100/1(-1233%) | (3) Elettaria 100/1, Ninth of 12 in handicap (7/1) at Newcastle (7.1f). Off 8 months. Likely to need the run, so others are more persuasive. Has a patchy record but she won twice last season; needs watching in market on return. |

6th (2) (100/1 -1718%) Liberty Breeze |
100/1(-1718%) | (2) Liberty Breeze 100/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2023. 7/1, eighth of 9 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) 11 days ago. Claims if she can bounce back to the form she showed on her penultimate start. All wins have come at Catterick and was disappointing at Thirsk last time; down the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (33/1 -230%) Whatwouldiknow |
33/1(-230%) | (9) Whatwouldiknow 33/1, Seventh of 9 in handicap (25/1) at Ripon (8f, good) 15 days ago. Others make more appeal. Inconsistent 12-race maiden who was beaten 9l at Ripon last time; others preferred. |

8th (1) (100/1 -614%) Clipsham Gold |
100/1(-614%) | (1) Clipsham Gold 100/1, Nineteen runs since last win in 2023. Sixth of 8 in handicap (25/1) at Redcar (8f, good) 46 days ago. Has a bit to prove at present. Last turf win was in 2022 and she's been out of sorts in four runs for current yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (40/1 -150%) The Muffin Man |
40/1(-150%) | (6) The Muffin Man 40/1, 125/1, first run since leaving Jessica Macey when last of 15 in handicap at this course (8.4f, good to firm) 52 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. 0-11 for Jessica Macey and he failed to beat a rival here on stable debut in May. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
OCEANIC WONDER shaped with more credit than the bare result suggests when finishing third over a mile at Wetherby last month, looking the likely winner for a long way before fading close home. Easing slightly in trip with cheekpieces applied for the first time, Tim Easterby's filly gets the vote to gain a first career success. Elettaria must be respected on the strength of her victory over 7f at Newcastle on her penultimate start last September, while Vintage Love completes the shortlist.
HOWARD'S CHOICE is handicapped to win and has shaped better than the result on his last couple of outings so, if getting a clear run, he could take this at the likely expense of Oceanic Wonder, the only other one who arrives in form. Liberty Breeze shaped well on her penultimate outing and can't be ruled out.
Most of these have plenty to prove but OCEANIC WONDER has reached the frame in three of her last four runs and she gets the vote.
Ths is the racecard key.
