LTO Selection:

13:30 Beverley Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Bush Rose looks interesting after missing the start at Brighton before pulling too hard throughout to come home in fourth and if she settles better today, she could get into the mix where it matters. From Beyond returns to action following wind surgery and might get involved under Oisin Murphy, but LEAP DAY looks to be the one. A nose second over C&D last month, that was a massive improvement and a repeat performance could be enough to see her come home in front.

ABBADIA was disappointing at Newmarket 3 weeks ago but this rates a drop in class back in a restricted maiden so she can bounce back. Leap Day seems sure to give it another good shot, with From Beyond one to monitor in the market on reappearance.

Having gone very close to winning over C&D ten days ago, LEAP DAY holds particularly strong claims. Abbadia is second choice.

LTO Selection:

14:05 Beverley Stakes (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Tallulabelle represents last year's winning trainer and warrants plenty of respect after being beaten half a length on her debut, but she will need to take a step forward to be successful here. Ziggy's Phoenix is a decent filly with wins at Ripon and Chester, as well as a Listed fourth at Chantilly, to her name, but she could prefer a softer surface, meaning NEVER FEAR is preferred. Easy to back on her Wolverhampton debut, she made most of the running to come home alone and with improvement likely, she might be able to repeat those tactics here.

MIDNIGHT AFFAIR almost certainly would've finished closer to the winner granted a clear passage when second on debut at Newmarket and, with the likelihood of better to come from this well-bred filly, she looks the way to go. Ziggy's Phoenix wasn't disgraced when bidding for the hat-trick in a French listed race recently and is next on the list ahead of likely improvers Never Fear and Flora of Bermuda.

The one to beat is MIDNIGHT AFFAIR, who would have run a very promising filly close at Newmarket with a clear passage.

Capable handicapper; reappearance could have been needed but it was a pretty flat effort.
LTO Selection:

14:40 Beverley Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

UGO GREGORY sits on joint-bottom weight in this handicap despite being a triple C&D winner. Admittedly, his last win was in October 2021, but he showed signs of a return to form when a nose second here last month, and has scored off much higher marks in the past. Satin Snake had an off day at Kempton on his latest start but is more than capable of going close here if at his best, although Yarmouth second United Front might be the bigger danger, with the Michael Appleby stable coming back into top form.

UGO GREGORY's losing run is mounting up but he went agonisingly close to bucking that trend when reeled in late over C&D 10 days ago, and a repeat should see him firmly in the mix again from a good draw. United Front is yet to get his head in front on turf but comes here on the back of a good second at Yarmouth and is feared. Miss Britain is also worth a look.

Tim Easterby's UGO GREGORY only narrowly failed to secure a fourth C&D success last time and he's a solid option.

LTO Selection:

15:15 Beverley Stakes (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

BOMBAY BAZAAR showed marked improvement from his first run when he emerged as an easy winner over C&D 25 days ago and, with that valuable experience of this stiff finish under his belt, he could be hard to beat if he copes with the forecast faster surface. Cuban Slide, who beat a lesser-fancied stablemate by nine lengths when he was introduced at Musselburgh last month, is feared most, although Fusterlandia ran above market expectations on debut and also warrants consideration.

This one who appeals most is FUSTERLANDIA, who was just touched off by an experienced rival on debut at Leicester, in turn pulling clear of the rest. Bombay Bazaar built on the promise he showed on his introduction when scoring in good style over this C&D and is feared most ahead of promising debut winners Cuban Slide and Room Service.

Headed near the finish after looking all over the winner on his debut, FUSTERLANDIA can go one better over today's shorter trip.

LTO Selection:

15:50 Beverley Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Charlie Johnston has a couple of solid options and, while Edge Of Darkness is respected now reunited with Andrew Mullen after their victory together off 2lb lower at Thirsk last month, his class-dropping stablemate COOL PARTY shades preference as the one to be with today. He's faced a couple of much stiffer tests than this already this season and, with the step up in trip likely to suit, this presents a good opportunity for him to return to winning ways. Imaginary World and Orchestra are also feared.

ORCHESTRA has improved again this spring, confirming the promise of his previous run when landing a 12-runner handicap here (10f) 25 days ago. This longer trip promises to hold no fears and he's fancied to make another bold bid here. Burglar's Dream and Cool Party may also feature.

Dual 2yo winner COOL PARTY faces by far and away his easiest test yet in handicap company and he could be up to the job.

EKLIL bounced back to form when narrowly denied on his return at Lingfield last month and he must hold every chance if building upon that effort. Rae Guest's charge is preferred to C&D winner Berry Edge and Broctune Red, who has been in consistent form of late but is winless since March of last year. Dandy's Angel has also won here before and cannot be dismissed.

This looks wide open but JEWEL MAKER very much signalled a return to form when fourth at Redcar 12 days ago and, operating 2 lb below his last winning mark, he could well be ready to strike. Berry Edge's sole career success to date came over this C&D and he's feared under Oisin Murphy. Broctune Red is another fancied to go well.

After definite signs of returning to form when a luckless fourth at Redcar, JEWEL MAKER (nap) is of strong interest in this lower grade.

Not beaten far at Redcar last time out, THORNABY BEAUTY has been knocking on the door of late and this looks like as good an opportunity as any to get off the mark at the ninth time of asking. Only a head separated Aurora Glory (second) and Yorkstone (third) when they met at Ripon last month and it is the former who is taken to come out on top once more.

THORNABY BEAUTY posted arguably her best effort yet when finding just one too strong at Redcar, for which a 1 lb rise looks very fair indeed given that she was clear of the rest. Adrian Nicholls' representative is taken to open her account at the ninth time of asking, perhaps at the chief expense of Aurora Glory, who also hit the crossbar last time and she should appreciate this step back up in trip. The return to this trip is likely to help Yorkstone, too, and he is third choice.

Aurora Glory and YORKSTONE ran similar races when finishing upside one another at Ripon. The latter is preferred this time.
