ROWAYEH displayed plenty of promise on her return to action at Newmarket a month ago and the daughter of Dubawi could be hard to beat with the benefit of that outing. Rajindri made the frame in both starts as a juvenile and is likely to be in the mix once again, while Astral Spirit and Storymaker are others who merit places on the shortlist.

Having shaped well when runner-up on debut, RAJINDRI was left poorly placed when third at Wolverhampton next time and she remains open to improvement with this extra furlong to suit. She is taken to see off the challenge of Rowayeh who stepped up on her debut form on her return, while Astral Spirit should also have more to offer.

Marginal preference is for ASTRAL SPIRIT, ahead of Rowayeh.

BOMBAY BAZAAR was not disgraced on his debut at Thirsk a few weeks ago and the experience that he gained on that occasion could prove to be vital here. Politico is a noteworthy newcomer being the first foal out of a mare who won a Listed race in the May of her juvenile season, while Crack The Kode and Cuban Secret are others to note.

BOMBAY BAZAAR shaped very well amidst greenness when third at Thirsk on debut, beaten only by a pair with prior experience, so he looks the one to beat with that first run behind him. Newcomers could pose the biggest threat to the selection, with Politico one to note along with Crack The Kode.

Richard Fahey's Kodiac colt BOMBAY BAZAAR shaped very well when a clear third at Thirsk and rates a confident choice to go in here.

A mark of 70 probably flatters MONTELUSA but he rarely runs poorly and may well prove to be a cut above these rivals now switched to selling company. Silks Graphite appears to be the main danger based on his second-placed finish over 6f at Yarmouth two starts ago. The rest all have questions to answer but Insolente is the pick of them.

MONTELUSA proved consistent last year and, having finished runner-up on his second outing of the current campaign, he could be ready to get off the mark this time around. Tim Easterby's colt sets the standard in this contest, though Silks Graphite could bounce back in first-time blinkers and is feared most, ahead of Insolente.

This looks a great opportunity for MONTELUSA to gain a breakthrough win dropped into selling grade after a run of solid efforts.

The Dunkirk Lads relished the step back to this minimum trip when landing the spoils at this venue last time out and the four-year-old warrants the utmost respect. This demands considerably more off 4lb higher, though, and a chance is taken on KING OF TONGA, who gave a good account of himself when fourth in deeper waters on his latest outing. The son of Dark Angel now sits 1lb below his last winning mark and gets the tentative nod. Sound Reason is another to consider.

KING OF TONGA ran better than on his return when making the frame at Wetherby 16 days ago and he can take advantage of this drop back in grade to return to winning ways. The main danger could be The Dunkirk Lads, who remains on a workable mark following his C&D success last time, while Gustav Graves also merits consideration.

The ex-Irish RAMIRO has started the season on a good mark and following a good reappearance run is taken to beat King Of Tonga.

In this competitive contest, marginal preference goes to UGO GREGORY, who gave a good account of himself when runner-up over course and distance off 2lb lower last time out. Despite being short of room two furlongs out, the seven-year-old was only denied by a neck and may go one better today. Jazz Samba shed the maiden tag at this venue on her latest outing and rates the most immediate danger despite a 4lb rise for that success, while Broctune Red is another to consider.

BROCTUNE RED appears back at the top of his game and is just as effective on turf as all-weather, so another bold bid looks on the cards. Jazz Samba improved to get off the mark here on her return and a 4 lb rise seems fair, while Ugo Gregory was unlucky to bump into a big improver over C&D last time.

Low-mileage 4yo JAZZ SAMBA (nap) returned an improved model when going in here last time and can make light of a 4lb rise.

Eagle Prince showed the benefit of a wind operation when winning at Newcastle and if he improves for that seasonal debut he could be a player here off 4lb higher. The lightly-raced Tiamat is another to consider for a yard who have been flying in recent weeks and she could also get involved, but a chance is taken on SERENGETI SUNSET. The son of Roaring Lion pulled too hard over the Yarmouth mile on his return but may settle better now and it is noted that connections send him into a handicap as opposed to continuing in maiden company.

SERENGETI SUNSET is a good looker who is bred to be better than a mark of 73, so he might well build on his encouraging return at Yarmouth and make a successful start to handicaps. Last-time-out winner Roll It In Glitter is a danger and Orchestra is worthy of respect.

Plenty are in with a shout but SERENGETI SUNSET looks to start life in handicaps on a very workable mark and gets the vote.

If he fails to give his true running then Edwina Sheeran may be the one to step up, assuming she can repeat her Thirsk second off 1lb lower last month, while both Book Of Tales and Kilcummin could also have a say.

BOOK OF TALES has failed to meet market expectations on his last 2 runs but it's still early days and this looks a good opportunity for him back on turf. Philos might not be totally straightforward but can be a factor at this level, with Edwina Sheeran completing the shortlist.

In a modest contest BOOK OF TALES is taken to get off the mark with Edwina Sheeran and American Oak the main threats.
